I got this idea because I woke up with the worst headache ever. Now it’s 4:35pm and I’m finally getting over it after too many painkillers and too many naps.

Hobie stepped through your bedroom window, and his brows furrowed in concern when he noticed you curled up in the fatal position, lying in bed.

“Love, what’s wrong?” He asked gently, slowly approaching. “Headache.” You whispered, in fear of talking too loudly — just in case it made your headache even worse. “Very bad.” You added.

“Did you take some solpadeine?” He inquired, kicking off his big boots and sitting at the edge of your bed. “Mhm. Two.” You responded weakly. “I’ll get you some water.” Hobie disappeared, and returned a few moments later with a bottle filled with water. He placed it on your bedside table. “There you go. Don’t feel pressure to drink it, just make sure you do.” His tone was tender as he spoke.

“You want me to cuddle, darlin’?” He crouched at the edge of your bed, reaching your face. “Mhm.” You murmured, shifting over to make some room. Hobie tossed his jacket and jeans across the room, and slid into bed with you, wrapping his long arms around your body.

“Let me know if you need anything else, sweetheart. I’m here now.”

Best thing about having Hobie as a comfort character -

He's SUPER OPENLY SUPPORTIVE

Like he's so loving you never have to worry about your brain doing that thing where it makes you think the characters you care about would hate you

or when you hear those characters say you're gross, bad, dumb etc.

Hobie is so supportive and ANTI-hate it's just not possible it's so unrealistic

whenever your brain is like 'Hobie would think you're disgusting' You can literally be like 'Nice try but He would not say that'

That's why characters like him matter
