The first to fall was Genesis, as usual. He'd been frail compared to the tank that was Angeal growing up; his immune system being weakened by Shinra scientists in order to introduce J-cells, and never restored.

The Hollowhead Siblings' parents were slain by an evil wizard, who then kidnapped the kids when they were young. The wizard he planned to turn them into creatures of darkness. victim managed to slay the wizard while in captivity before this could be done, but they and their siblings had already been changed a bit, gaining a great deal of power. After escaping from the wizard's tower, they found a cave. They'd trust no one but each other and defend each other (and especially Second, who didn't seem to get any power and was also really small at the time) from any threats. Considering the powerful monsters that lived in the area, they got really good at fighting. However, they would also attack a stick that wandered into the cave because what if they meant to harm them or their siblings? Second stayed far enough back in the cave to not know about this because the others wanted to keep them sheltered.

Though of they got slain by a player, Second would hear the commotion and look to see their siblings dead with the player standing over them and want vengeance. Thus prompting that last fight where Second first just attacks in an angry but futile attempt to make them pay, but then after that's over the effects from that spell a long time ago finally take hold and turn them into a force of destruction.

Fortunately for them all, that didn't happen because instead they met Alan, who took them in. Second doesn't remember what it was like having parents, but the way Alan is caring for them feels familiar. For the others, he reminds them of their parents. It's been a long time since they've had an adult caring for them. His kindness definitely makes them cry a lot. Even victim who's mostly an adult now still cries when hugging him because it's something they were starved for.

... and then they learn that it never really happened and that the memory is fake. Their parents never existed at all, they were just part of their sad backstory.

It's been so long since Amethio last appeared, but I'm also glad they're not burning his character up too fast. I'm letting them cook. I hope we get to see more of Zir and Conia too.
