Surprise!! I know this blog has been pretty quiet, but I had to celebrate July 1 by filling up the queue and drawing some fanart. I decided to do a quick redraw of a Sailor Moon screenshot, substituting everyone’s favorite kind, bookish sailor guardian (Ami/Sailor Mercury) with everyone’s favorite kind, bookish gogglehead. Now that I think about it, those two would probably be really good friends!

Whoever took this candid shot of Haru (using the ancient medium of… film?!), and the person holding the resulting photograph are both left to the imagination of the viewer.

Hmm.

I think it's nice that they went back to having the best transformation animation be on the mid-seasons. it looks very good, and I'm happy to see another dual-transformation again.

I do wish we could see more of civilian forms of Purirun and Meroron, because right now they seem to be transformation only and that makes me saaad.

Hmm~ Whew, the weather today's just perfect for relaxing atop a tree.

Compared to the terribly exciting life I've been leading lately, this kind of leisurely routine just suits me better.

Thanks to you, Mondstadt was able to pull through its time of crisis and return to a time of peace. That means I get to return to being an easy-going bard again!

Could honestly go on a whole tangent about Meroron and how Interesting her character is... like. She obviously remembers everything, and is keeping Purirun away from the Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure so she won't get her memories back... but there's also the fact that she clearly still has some feelings for Purirun? Which is odd, because we all thought that she'd give those up when doing the  Heart Kirari Lock. SO??? WHAT IS HAPPENING???

Purirun's ribbon also lost color. While Meroron's ribbons are fine.

It really, really feels like she lost absolutely nothing, and all that happened was her getting Purirun to forget about Uta. I am so mad at her HNNNNNNNNGHGHH (which honestly feels like the intend and that makes me ever curious of her character direction!!!)

Which does make me wonder if she's kinda done this before and doesn't remember it..... HMMMMMMM.

Thus the lock already would have something she forgot. But it needed Purirun's wish as well to grant Precure powers.

Could... could that work?

was able to watch the episode and yeah it was a little silly but the animation quality did go up in the second half! Also the “I don’t know you 🙂” scene GUTTED me. Ouch!!

also. I figured out that people were rubbed the wrong way with that one scene in which the girls are looking for You-Know-Who and briefly mistake what turns out to be a man wearing makeup and a flashy outfit for the person in question, and they react in over-the-top shock once they see their face. Which. Yeah I can understand how that joke didn’t land the way the writers thought it would 😔

Ooooh, that. I guess you can see I didn't think much of it since I completely forgot about it LOL.

I just knew it would be a drag queen joke of a kind the moment it got laid up upon lol. I didn't find it offensive. Maybe I've just seen it too many times in my life time that it's just, pretty normal of a joke for me. Yes I'm old. If someone feels offended, then ok. But I highly doubt that was even on their minds when doing it.

But yeh, the end of the ep is heart-wrenching and I was just there wanting to squeeze the air out of Meroron for like.... WHY?????

I didn't see anything like that.

I don't exactly keep up with such stuff so I have no idea what's been said. It's not in my field of knowledge.

For me the ep was maybe a bit overly silly (until the latter half), but animation quality on later half is really good.
