Was re-reading Bran's chapters in ADWD specifically for Bloodraven drama, and this line came up

"When?" Bran wanted to know.

"In a year, or three, or ten. That I have not glimpsed. It will come in time, I promise you. But I am tired now, and the trees are calling me. We will resume on the morrow."

And it got me thinking a crack headcanon that younger, Blackfyre era Bloodraven would use the phrase "the trees are calling me." as a way to get out of things.

Example.

He's been stuck in a small council meeting for the last two hours, listening to the master of coin and the master of ships arguing about the royal fleet budget.

He's running on two hours of sleep because he spent the entire night warging into horses, birds, and cats in the Riverlands, waiting for those thrice damned Brackens to talk about their plans of supporting the Blackfyer pretenders and committing treason.

So he abruptly stands up, fixes his cloak and hood, looks everyone in the eye, and says, "I must go my Lords. The trees are calling me." It's his bed. His bed is calling him.

And he just exists the room as dramatically as he can (which is a lot) while swooshing his cloak.

Nobody questions him because they're pretty used to the Targaryen theatrics, including Lord Bloodraven's gothic version.

Shiera: What do you mean you killed Aenys Blackfyer?! What do you mean you're going to the Wall?!

there's seemingly not a centralized chess fandom on tumblr, but chess has seen an exponential boom in popularity, globally, and ppl do make posts abt the players, like you little freaks are out there. so as someone whose more into chess than the average bloke and has been for like a year and a half (and would thusly be able to talk abt the games and memes), i dont know why we aren't collectively sharing in the parasocial part of chess.

like there's so much drama all the time, friggin bum beads are now a core part of the lore, bobby fischer exists, gotham covers games literally daily like you can unclench levy its ok, magnus is always fckn about, hikaru fought some guy he lost a game to a couple of years ago, every dubov clip i've seen is him saying smth unhinged or doing like 1 million pull ups and he looks like he's my age but he's like TWENTY SEVEN HELLO?!, rapport and ding are the people's couple etc etc

Also because he's a cheeky little fuck he posted on his ig about how his Mugello 2021 helmet announcing Francesca's pregnancy with their daughter was a natural progression of the Misano 2020 Viagra helmet. It's stupid but who else would dare to do something like this.

my theory for eddie’s arc in s8:

so i think by now we’ve all picked up on the fact this man needs severe therapy! jokes aside i really think chris leaving BECAUSE of him will be the final straw and eddie this time will be going to therapy and sticking to it, similar to s5 where he told frank he also went for chris yk.

so he goes to therapy to work out the root of how he’s the “problem” and how he’s “broken” and he yk goes through the history of his failed romantic relationships and at one point frank picks up on the catholic guilt. and similar to when maddie went to frank for doug and he sent her to big bear, frank tells eddie to go to a church. because the church STILL holds so much power over eddie’s decisions and how he views things and even who he is and what parts he ignores. which would fit in the eddie realizing he’s gay storyline perfectly bc ofc he would repress that shit HE COULDNT HAVE SEX WITH HIS GF AFTER FINDING OUT SHE WAS A NUN. “reservoir of catholic guilt” hmmmmm interesting….. like i’m also pretty sure he went to catholic school?

so like latino catholic in texas who went to catholic school, teen dad who married his first gf (bc he got her pregnant) bc of the church, whose been told since he was a CHILD to be “man enough”, who served in the military.
