#riv rambles#I know some people have a set one but#I really do think depending on the selfship and the setting#the vision and the archon/message of said vision#would vary#like for example with alhaitham it’s electro because#I interpret electro vision wielders to be people of a specific ambition or goal#raiden and eternity or yae and freeing ei or dori and mora or kujo sara and being loyal to the shogun or cyno and upholding justice#there’s a hyper specific goal that all electro vision wielders are very centered and focused around that they are canonically vry ambitious#about achieving/maintaining#with alhaitham my selfship insert is very ambitious and dedicated to integration of desert children to the akademiya and just better#integration of the desert folks in the political system in general in sumeru#and with Wriothesley and Kinich it would be pyro because#I interpret pyro vision wielders to have one specific passion that they are very attached to#it’s not more so an ambition but more so a constant that they hold very dear and are passionate about#amber with the knights and klee with her explosives and lyney with magic and xiangling with cooking and yoimiya w fireworks + yanfei w law#bennett with adventuring and Hu Tao with business and xinyan with music and again the list goes on#anyway I think in the case of my selfship with wrio my insert is rather passionate about prison reform and in my selfship with Kinich it#centers around being passionate about the nation itself and natlan’s wellbeing/safety in an ongoing war with the abyss#and with ayato its cryo bc i think cryo vision wielders are people who have two sides of themselves constantly at battle#diona hates alcohol but makes fantastic drinks. kaeya conflicted with loyalty to his ancestry vs his nation atm. Eula conflicted with her#clan identity vs being a knight. Ayaka conflicted with duty vs living life as she pleases. shenhe and ganyu struggle between the adeptal#and human worlds since they’re involved with both#qiqi is alive but dead. freminet is loyal to the house of the hearth but wishes to also be free. and wrio ofc is in some ways a hero and#in some ways a criminal and those conflicting natures of his actions are at odds with each other very complexly so#ANYWAY#ofc again the list goes on but#for ayato I would consider my insert a cryo wielder because I think that being an arranged marriage#there’s conflict of duty vs personal choice and freedom but also not wanting to hold affection for him at first vs developing it anyway#labeling myself to one vision element for my insert all across the board I suppose leaves no room for the nuances of visions themselves

#as someone who has the special edition DVD of west side story I just can’t take claims that Ansel is horribly miscast I’m sorry about it#like this might be my most controversial take I guess.#and it’s not a defense of him he’s a horrible human but I watched it without knowing his history#and I thought he was captivating as Tony. the way somethings coming was directed it really had you in awe of him#and as a true lover of the film like got the time stamp of one hand one heart tatted on me i think#people are conflating their dislike of the actor with the quality of the film#and it’s genuinely one of the best musicals released in the last 10 years#mike faist and Ariana Debose give life changing performances#David Alvarez has one film to his name and he bodied the fuck out of Bernardo#and idk idk like even if you dislike ansels performance the movie is so much more than that#Rachel does Maria beautifully#Spielberg made choices that at first seemed strange but ended up making the movie more impactful#like it’s so much more than his performance the set design the styling the songs i MEAN#the 1961 film will always be first to me i just don’t think you can beat the magic of that film#but 2021 is so fucking good. and yes yes I’m bias.#I’ve loved this movie since i was like 9 but god it’s so good. so good.

i cant stop thinking about bttf ... like that was INSANEEEEEE its so sad that it closed ...
#ive never been to a closing show and it was so magical#you could tell the cast was really putting their all#and the guy playing marty ... god DAMN HE WAS SO GOOD#it was also cool seeing roger bart ik hes famous in the bway world he was also incredible#and one of the songs got a STANDING OVATION and it was ONLY ACT ONE!!!!! so crazy#i dont think ive ever been to a show that had a standing ovation#that guy deserved it too that song was incredible#the ensemble was so talented too like goddamn the dancing and the vocals and everything#between wicked and gatsby and bttf im starting to realize i love ensemble songs ... like the ensembles were just so fucking good#omg and it was so FUNNY!!!!! like SOOOO FUNNY i was laughing so hard#esp at the scene with marty and his mom where she flirts with him and hes so uncomfy it was so fucking funny#yapping#musicals#broadway

Connected through other songs. The stages of falling in and out of love#It's heartbreaking. It's fucking heartbreaking actually#The fact that this is what heartbreak feels like comes RIGHT after golden hour?? Shut up. Shut UP THAT HURTS ME#golden hour is deadass the most gorgeous song I've ever heard in my fucking life I can't even express the emotions I feel listening to it#It's beautiful. It's whimsical. It's magical. It captures such a specific feeling and time of day. Time of YEAR even#It's a song about love and how in awe he is of the person he loves and it's perfect and soft and. golden hour. Yeah. That's it.#And then. 34. Is there a song you know every word to by heart? When I was younger I got the CD for All Things Bright and Beautiful (Owl City) as a gift. I’d play it over and over again on the computer and ended up memorizing all of the songs.
46. Favorite holiday film?
It’s no secret if you know me in real life. I love The Polar Express. It fits my very specific category of favorite stories.. dream-like and wholesome, while still being mysterious and a little gloomy too. Walking the line between imaginary and realistic. (And it’s about friendship, which I will always like best.) Listen to Seeing is Believing and I think you’ll understand why I love the mood of it all. (And if you’ve seen my art, you may pick up on the influence it had on my visual tastes too.)
