I have officially watched the entirety of the Clone Wars series

I haven’t cried that hard in a long time. Seeing Rex with the shovel, the helmets, Jesse’s helmet....

Rex is Star Wars. Clones are Star Wars.

For all its faults, I’m so glad the series had a huge focus on the clones, it’s something I desperately missed in the live action prequels. I wanted more interaction between Obi-Wan and Cody. Between Jedi and clones in general.

Now don’t get me wrong, I still got very upset when Cody and the 212th turned their blasters on Obi-Wan while watching ROTS alongside the last episodes, but I began thinking about Clone Wars and fanfiction. Those media combined that show the deep trust and friendship that we may not always see.

I’m so glad I watched this show, it has taken over my life since I began in September. It’ll stick with me forever that’s for certain.

Before I go to bed I just wanted to remind you that Alex put himself between Michael and Jesse in that toolshed, immediately and instinctively

He provoked his father to draw that wrath onto himself rather than Michael 

And when Jesse is slamming Alex against the wall and choking him, all I can think is that Alex was willing to take a beating to keep Michael safe

He didn’t even think it through, he just acted. He knew one of them would have to pay and he wanted it to be him. Not Michael. Never Michael.

the thing about Dick and Tim in relation to Bruce that I am constantly spinning around and around in my head is like

if they’re talking about Bruce, Dick will be the first one to be like ‘bruce is an asshole he’s being terrible fuck him you don’t need him’ while Tim will be like ‘no you gotta give him a chance he’s just struggling and it’s our job to be there for him’

but if something actually Happens, then Tim will be the one like ‘we have to sincerely consider the possibility that bruce may be a murderer while i hold him at arm’s length’ while Dick is already trying to die for Bruce without a second’s hesitation and won’t lose loyalty in a million years

It's fascinating to me that Obi-Wan is never, ever surprised when Cody returns his lightsaber to him. He simply trusts that Cody will always recover it and be there to give it back to him. This, of course, implies that Obi-Wan loses his lightsaber enough for Cody to make a habit of giving it back to him, and that Obi-Wan trusts Cody will find his lightsaber in the mess of battle - we don't see him worry about losing his lightsaber because he knows and trusts that Cody will find it and give it back. For pretty much half the time we see Cody in ROTS, he's got Obi-Wan's lightsaber on his hip. And then he almost forgets to give it back to Obi-Wan. Just how used to carrying a lightsaber is he? He certainly handles it enough that he's got a lightsaber clip on his belt, and he's clearly very comfortable with it. There's so much in the background whenever they're in a scene together that implies far more depth to their relationship - it's something that's been built up and cultivated over time and I love that it's not a spur-of-the-moment thing, it's something real and solid and wonderful. Something that's built on mutual trust and respect. I want to see the first time Cody gave it back to him and to see the surprise on Obi-Wan's face, and Obi-Wan coming to a realisation after the third or fourth time Cody hands it to him that this is a pattern and just one more thing he can rely on his commander about. That he trusts him with both his metaphorical and literal life. That Cody is even more extraordinary than he thought.

Essentially, Nightmare often uses his aura/powers to manipulate Killer’s soul and emotions, both in helpful and in torturous ways. So, in a bit of spite (but also just needing a break), Killer starts hunting Dream down outside of battles to bug and flirt with him. Which turned into a sorta friendship and understanding, then partnership as Killer swaps sides, and eventually a relationship. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

He’s eventually figured out… but not after foiling months worth of missions lmao.

something that drives me insane about etho in the life series is that he is widely characterized by his logic and rationality—he sees himself as strategic and objective, as do the other players—and yet, his defining Thing across all seasons has been his blind faith and loyalty beyond all reason. in 3rd life, he threw himself wholly into dogwarts on a whim out of fondness towards ren. in last life, he sacrificed everything including his own team for bdubs, who was irresponsible and blatantly traitorous and spent half their partnership on red. in double life, he absolutely refused to lay a finger on cleo out of some misplaced sense of friendship and trust—she helped burn down the relationship, sure, but it’s cleo, and cleo is one of the good ones! she would never hurt him, surely! meanwhile cleo was planning to take him out first if it came down to it.

like, for someone who leans so heavily on his brain, he is fundamentally guided by his heart. he’s a survivor who will gamble his own safety to throw himself head-first into the people he decides deserve his loyalty, and that loyalty, once established, is unshakeable. i just think that’s so cool
