#im swapping the 5k/100uF pair for a 50k/10uF so the timing constant stays the same but the quinscent current goes down.#the design is unconventional as in its not in the 555 Cookbook but it worked in the Falstad simulator 👀#i hope it works in real life too 🤞#all the timings from the three RC networks are timing-specific #like pins 2 4 and 6/7 need to br triggered in a particular order so they 555 triggers the output once and only once.#they all start low -- reset/enable on pin 4 needs to go high enough (1/3vcc) first #then pin 2 needs to go high enough (2/3vcc) quickly thereafter #but it cant exceed 1/3vcc before 4 is triggered #and 6/7 must get to 2/3vcc after all of that to turn the pulse off #anyways anybody wanna make out with me about it? 😳

#a moment i need to capture while it's still fresh #stargazing alone in the chill and damp of an august night #the crickets singing all around #northern lights filling the sky like nothing i've ever seen #the red colors even visible to the naked eye #pictures show the entire sky alight with red and green and blue #but they can't capture the delicate blue-white formations that i see with the naked eye #or the pulsing weaving swirling motion of the lights above #the high point of the night is looking straight up into the night sky #not north or south or east or west just up which is out toward space #not a direction tied to our world but out to god #and there were these constant swirling waves of light all pulsing toward the very center of the sky #and then a shooting star #the brightest and clearest of the night #streaks upward across the right-hand side #and after an evening of wanting to feel closer to god than i do when surrounded by his heavenly marvels #the prayer that comes to mind is 'glory'#glory to the father and to the son and to the holy spirit who created all this and let me see it #and there is no one to share it with #no way to capture what i'm seeing #no way to share this moment with anyone else #there is no one i'll be able to turn to and say #remember when we saw that shooting star in the middle of the northern lights?#this moment can't be captured or repeated it simply exists in this moment right now #it's beautiful and sad #and also a gift #i meant to stay out for maybe fifteen minutes #i was out there an hour and wish i didn't have to leave #and there was no way to share it but i had to try to share it with someone before i lost the moment

Still no craft updates on account of I feel Bad* but I did get like half a beanie crocheted this weekend? I also have a bat that's haunting me. In that there's a bat design I desperately want to turn into a plushie not in that I am being literally haunted by a bat. As far as I know I am not haunted by a bat but to be fair I'm not confident I'd know? *my heart rate got high enough that made me cough but my asthma was flaring up enough that cough launched me into an asthma attack, which raised my heart rate even more, so basically I used my emergency inhaler and then was on the floor for a while. Feels bad! Do not recommend. I'm okay though just tired

#the person behind the yarn #the reason my heart rate got that high is that my pulse pressure was very narrow #which is. you know. bad.#so I finally gave in and took an extra dose of my meds (as my doctor has advised in the past)#what is probably happening is that I reached the point of stressed where my body couldn't cope #(I'm on long term steroids so I need stress doses if I get too stressed)#but! because acute stress can trigger an allergic reaction (yay MCAS) I tend to kinda...shunt stress off to the side #and come back to process it when it's less like. urgent? immediate?#when it no longer feels like it will trigger an MCAS flareup if I acknowledge the feeling exists #and I do go back and process those emotions! I just have to get a little distance first #and the work stress lately has been so unrelenting (combined with the like...general world news stress)#that I have been ignoring my own stress levels so hard I genuinely did not think I was stressed #or that I needed a stress dose of my meds but uh. I was wrong!#I was wrong. Good news is now that I know I should be good in a day or two #doc said three days for stress doses and today was day one #bad news is narrow pulse pressure combined with asthma attack feels Very Bad!#very bad indeed took me like 20-30 minutes and two different kinds of medication before I could talk normally #without having to pause and catch my breath midsentence #every time I start thinking 'you know maybe I'm not really disabled maybe my health stuff is under control'#it pops up like a jack in the box like surprise! it's the same thing again still here! the meds just hide it most of the time #but it's still there :) lurking :) when I least expect it :)#...I think I might buy myself another sticker or two. something to look forward to coming in the mail

Principal Masters AU (Casper High Ravens)

I was thinking about my Principal Masters AU recently and an interesting thought occurred to me. So we all know Vlad's a cheese-head, aka a huge Packers fan, right? Well as the new principal of Casper High I bet Vlad gets well acquainted with Dash and the other Jocks over time, especially Dash because he's the ringleader of the bullies.

Anyways, I kind of imagine Vlad starts feeling torn between excitedly rooting for/supporting such a talented high school football team (I'm assuming they are but I might be wrong) and low-key defending Danny from time to time since part if is goal is to win him over while also putting him in his place depending on the day. But Vlad is also of the mindset that he's the only person allowed to truly torment Danny if that makes any sense. I guess you could say Vlad begins keeping Dash in check with some smooth talking and feeding his ego in being better than everyone else.

At the same time though, Vlad begins to understand Danny on a whole new level because he forgot how much he was bullied too back in college and possibly all throughout his school years before he became a billionaire. It's a weird balance of Vlad wanting to be someone Danny actually WANTS to turn to for help and still being his arch enemy in most regards...

That's what keeps Danny guessing what Vlad's motives are and on high alert most of the time. However, it's a step in the right direction for Vlad to become someone at school Danny knows might cut him some slack from time to time. Plus, weird as it sounds its interesting to see Vlad in a normal setting cheering for the Casper High Ravens.
