#high school days au

Wanted to try my hand at designing some slightly older duck kiddos!!! Headcanons and insane ramblings under the cut:

I designed these to be around 14-15, so early high school age (y'know in a hypothetical scenario where they actually end up going to high school). I imagine they still adventure with Scrooge and the fam, just moreso on the weekends (cut to Huey on the floor of the Sunchaser frantically trying to finish his biology homework while they're being shot at by sky pirates). Donald and Della are also both a part of the school PTA. Nobody else in the PTA is happy about this. Now for individual headcanons:

Huey:

Straight A student that's kinda neurotic about his grades, will freak out if any of them drop to a B.

I like to think of his hat as his comfort item so he still has the same one and if it was up to me he would also wear it to adulthood. even if a grown ass man in a lil baseball cap looks silly.

He's sooo mad about Dewey being taller than him lol.

Dewey:

Solid B student with the occasional C.

Couldn't join the drama club and the basketball team at the same time so he chose the drama club (the actual reason is that he tried out for the basketball team and didn't make it but he won't admit that). He still likes to carry around a basketball and practice on the court by himself.

Grows cheek fluff like the others he just cuts his off out of insecurity.

He's the tallest.

Louie:

Has pretty shitty grades, not because he's not smart, but because he doesn't really try (I mean, kid already has it made, why bother?).

Still wears the same green hoodie every day like he did as a kid but this time it's a little bit bigger and baggier. Does he wear the same clothes underneath too???? We will never know.

He's the shortest.

Webby:

Also a straight A student like Huey but seemingly puts in way less effort than him (which bothers Huey greatly).

Has to carry all her supplies in her arms because she's not allowed to bring a bag to school anymore (she kept trying to bring weapons in. Not because she planned on using them, but because you can never be too prepared.)

In at least 5 different clubs, probably started like 3 of them.

"Hey, Kent!"

The shout from behind stopped Clark in his tracks. He groaned inwardly, turning around to face the transfer student from Gotham—the bane of his high school existence—Bruce fucking Wayne.

"Bruce, I’ve got nothing to say to you," Clark said flatly. Bruce glared at him, arms crossed over his bare chest.

"Yeah? Does this look familiar to you?" Bruce asked, reaching into his bag on the nearby bench. He pulled something out and tossed it at Clark. Instinctively, Clark caught it, and his blood ran cold when he realized what it was—his missing red blanket.

"This is mine! Where did you find it?" Clark demanded.

"Your room," Bruce replied with a shrug.

"Did… did you break into my house to steal my stuff? What is wrong with you?"

Bruce smirked. "I returned it, didn’t I? I borrowed it for an experiment."

Clark took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure. Oh, how I wish I could strangle him right now. "What experiment?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"Various kinds. And guess what I found out? That blanket of yours is impervious to damage."

"What?" Clark said, confusion growing.

"Fireproof and practically indestructible. It's stronger than anything known to man." Bruce’s gaze sharpened. "It’s definitely not from Earth."

Clark's heart skipped a beat. "What are you trying to say, Wayne?"

Bruce moved closer, their chests almost touching, his icy blue eyes boring into Clark’s. "I'm saying that you aren’t from Earth." His voice dropped to a low, menacing growl. "Are you part of the same alien force that destroyed Gotham City Hall?"

"I don’t know what you're talking about! I’m not an alien!" Clark shouted defensively, shoving Bruce without thinking.

Bruce went flying, crashing into the metal lockers with a loud clang. He groaned, slumping to the floor.

Clark's stomach lurched as he realized what he’d done. The lockers were completely dented in. "I—I didn’t mean to do that!" Clark ran over, kneeling beside Bruce. "Bruce, are you okay? I’m so sorry! I couldn’t control my strength!"

Bruce clutched his head, wincing. "Ugh, my head... Selina was right—honey trapping would be more effective than direct interrogation." He paused, eyes half-lidded. "Think she’d give me tips?"

"What?" Clark blinked, utterly lost. "Bruce, you’re probably concussed." He quickly lifted Bruce into his arms in a bridal carry. "You need medical attention, hold on!"

Bruce groaned. "Can we at least wear something? I mean, sure, you’ve got a lot to be proud of, but I’d rather not expose myself to the whole world right now."

Clark blushed, realizing their state of undress. Hastily, he lowered Bruce back to the ground, grabbed his blanket, and draped it over both of them. Once they were decently covered, Clark scooped Bruce up again and ran out of the locker room, ignoring the strange and alarmed looks from the other students.

Just had the mental image of modern AU Romance Dawn trio where Nami was the only one who had a bike and so they would constantly use her to get around town. Luffy either sat on the handle bars or more funnily, the basket and Zoro sat on the back but Nami got sick of peddling them around so she switched with Zoro. Problem was, Zoro had no idea where they were going all of the time. So instead of sitting back to back she had to turn around and give directions. And if Zoro didn’t listen, she would reach forward and YANK the handle to where they needed to turn. Luffy has fallen off multiple times through this and laughs every single time finding it hilarious.

Books and coffee

AAA week day one, highschool au

Young!lilia x reader

Summary - when you go searching for a book at the library you're met by a girl who has exactly what you need

Fluff, library/coffee date, first kiss

You'd been searching for atleast an hour now, the book had to be around here somewhere. It shouldn't be this hard to find a book, it's a library !

Salem : a witches retelling was a book your teacher, Miss Harkness, asked you to pick up for her history class. She was a strict teacher to say the least, but being the A+ student you were, you got on her good side.

You decided to ask the lady at the desk if she knew where to find it. "i've just had another girl ask me about that book aswell, must be popular. It should be in section 19B."

You thanked her for the help and made your way over to the right section. So many of the books in 19B were basically falling apart from how old they were. Luckily this book wasn't as old as rest so it should've been easier to spot.

Your eyes wandered along the endless rows of books until they landed on the book you were looking for. There was a girl standing in front of it. You prayed that she would move so you didn't have to ask her. After three minutes of standing there in silence, you decided to speak up.

"excuse me, could you stand to the side ? I need to grab that book." you asked, pointing to the right one. She made a small surprised face when you spoke.

"oh―sorry it's just ... this book is necessary for my class." her voice was soft like a cloud, it made your heart flutter. You replied, "me too, what teacher d'you have ?"

"Miss Vidal, you ?"

"Harkness," you smiled at her, "did you hear the rumor that the two of them are sleeping together ? Its crazy right ?"

She giggled to herself for a moment before disagreeing with you, "see, i don't think it is that crazy, they're both gay, they get coffee together after school everyday. I don't see how they couldn't be dating."

The two of you were laughing together, getting louder and louder to the point that the lady the desk had to shush both of you.

"what d'you say we get out of here ?" you offered your hand and she was quick to accept. The two of you practically ran out of the library, earning an annoyed sigh from the lady at the desk.

Once the two of you were outside, you both sat down on a lonely park bench. For a moment, there was silence until the girl said, "i forgot to tell you my name," she let out another small laugh, "I'm Lilia, what's your name ?"

"y/n―" you were going to continue but Lilia interrupted. "do you wanna get some coffee ?"

"sure. Where's the best ?"

"there's a small shop just past that Kale Care place. They have the best coffee and cake there." her smile was wide as she described the place. Her eyes twinkled in a way that made the butterflies in your stomach run wild.

She took your hand again and led you to the shop. It was a lovely little space. It was full of fairy lights and lamps, little pot plants and it even had a reading corner. It felt like a dream, you couldn't believe you'd never been there before.

She walked up to the counter and ordered, so did you. After your drinks were made, she guided you to a table near one of the windows.

You sat down opposite her and for a moment there was a comfortable silence. You took the first sip of your drink.

"wow ! You're right, this is amazing."

"what can i say ? I'm a good judge of character." she stated shooting you a wink. You blushed at her action and looked down hoping she wouldn't notice.

The two of you talked for ages as you got to know eachother. She was so sweet and she told the most interesting stories. Neither of you knew how long it had been but the sky was getting darker so you decided the two of you should get going.

You walked down the street with her and when you reached the corner she looked to you and said, "this was really great, call me."

She pulled you into a hug and slid her hand into your pocket placing a small piece of paper in it with her phone number. The hug was so warm you didn't want to let go. When she did pull back your hands ghosted around her waist.

For a second, she stared at you and you did the same. Then it happened. She pulled you in by the neck and kissed you. It was a short kiss but held so much emotion within it that you didn't care.

After that, she took a few steps back, waved and turned away. You stood still for a moment trying to comprehend what she just did. Once your heart rate regulated again, you smiled to yourself and began walking.

Maybe you'd met more than just a new friend. She still managed to be the one to leave with the book though.

Prompt 15 - Slasher

Sirius gripped Remus’s arm hard. Remus tried to loosen his fingers, but Sirius just dug in harder.

“Sirius, you’re cutting off my circulation!” Remus hissed under his breath. Sirius loosened his grip minutely and buried his face in Remus’s cardigan. Remus knew he shouldn’t have let Sirius convince him to come watch the latest slasher film, but those damn puppy dog eyes got him every time. “Come on, let’s go home and watch High School Musical,” Remus whispered. 

“The sing-along version?” Sirius’s voice was muffled from where he still had it buried. Remus sighed. 

“Yes, the sing-along version,” Sirius wrapped his arms around Remus’s waist and hugged him hard. 

“I love you,” 

“I love you too,” Remus helped Sirius to his feet and took him home. He bundled him up in a blanket on the sofa and stuck some popcorn in the microwave before starting the film. Sirius cuddled up to him, and Remus resigned himself to watching one of his least favourite films just to make Sirius happy.
