James is going to be cool. He’s going to be normal, casual. It’s just a night out with friends he can handle that. A night out with friends, including his best friend and his best friend’s brother who happens to be the most beautiful man James has ever seen. But James is going to be totally cool about it.

James’ plan works for about five minutes until Regulus shows up wearing low-rise jeans that hug his hips and a crop top. A fucking crop top that reveals several inches of smooth skin, a slender waist and a belly ring. A fucking belly ring.

James’ brain short-circuits. There’s not a single thought in his head and he can’t tear his eyes away from Regulus. His eyes travel up Regulus’ body until he makes eye contact and Regulus smirks. He fucking smirks.

“You alright there, Potter?” Regulus asks when he gets close enough.

“Huh?” James’ brain is on a constant loop of how beautiful Regulus is and he can’t form any other words.

“I said are you alright? You look a little dazed?” Regulus’ voice is low and sultry and just as beautiful as he is.

“You’re beautiful.” James blurts out because there are no other thoughts in his head.

“Huh?” Regulus’ smirk drops and his eyes go wide.

“What?” James asks numbly.

“You… I…”

“You?… Huh?…”

“I…”

“God, you’re both pathetic. Just go fuck in the bathroom already.” Barty's voice cuts through the static in James’ brain.

“DO NOT go fuck in the bathroom.” Sirius cuts in. “But, yes, you are both pathetic.”

“Huh?” James and Regulus say at the same time.

“This is hard to watch. I’m getting a drink.” Barty pushes past them and Sirius follows him to the bar.

James and Regulus stare at each other for a few awkward moments. James’ thoughts are slowly coming back to him, but one thought still stands out.

“You’re beautiful.” James breaks the silence.

Regulus’ cheeks turn a lovely shade of pink and he finally breaks eye contact. “You said that already.”

“It bears repeating.”

thinkin…………..arthur gets injured and is being treated by gaius and merlin but he’s awake and gets to see firsthand this competent and serious merlin that meets his gaze constantly and arthur notices the fear and terror in his eyes that he forces back to heal him. thinkin…….merlin being his nurse while he heals and not leaving his bedside in fear of infections settling in while he’s gone and loosing arthur in such a simple way. arthur constantly wakes to a hand carding thru his hair or caressing his cheeks. thinkin………….merlin holding arthur’s head in his lap as he spoon feeds him broth. gaius rolling his eyes and leaving the room bc he and merlin and arthur all know he can sit up and feed himself but merlin leaves his fingers on arthur’s pulse and breathes in sync with him while arthur stares up at him like he hung the moon and the stars and carries the air into his lungs and squeezes his heart to pump his blood.

The One Fact Pact

I want to see a fic where the chain is rigorously keeping their secrets and stories hidden, but they've all learned to trust one another. Like, it's past time they should probably be sharing things because it's beginning to get annoying, they all agree, but it's sorta become a habit by now? They kept those secrets and now no one really wants to share first?

So, to keep things interesting and get some momentum going, they make a deal.

Whenever they come across something that reminds them of their travels, their quest - be it an item, a familiar name, a location - they've got to share ONE fact or story about it.

But only! When they're in other people's time, because otherwise it'll just be a staged tour and one person infodumping and that's exactly what they're trying to avoid (and it won't be a fun competition they can make bets about).

And then either they go through worlds slowly building trust and understanding of each other through a long drawn out and incidental series of tidbits....

Or they immediately get stuck in wild's hyrule for ages.

Everyone's arguing over who the latest ruin belongs to. Time and wind are getting into an argument about the kokiri. No one can agree on the zonai. Wars is taking immense pleasure in pointing out anything someone else might have missed. Legend is resolutely ignoring eventide. Twilight claims the entire faron woods until they step into the hot and humid jungle for the first time.

Wild thinks he's immune because it's his world so he legally can't answer questions, but everywhere they visit there's a piece of his own story in the rubble or on the wind.

Wild: *happily making tea and checking his slate with the other hand* okay, looks like tomorrow we can reach the breach of demise and to new serenne stable. Just past that- Sky: *choking on his drink* the what?? Wild: the breach? Sky, weakly: Why's it uh, called that? Wild: oh, it's an old story. Apparently eons ago it's where a demon godking came up from underground to the surface world... *suspiciously* Why? Sky: gimme the slate. *squinting at the shape on the map*... I can neither confirm nor deny. Wild:... What do you mean? Sky, remembering the One Fact Pact: I can neither confirm nor deny. What's important is that I killed him. The entire chain, variously: YOU KILLED A DEMON GOD?!!? Sky *recalling the hardest fight of his life*: what, like it's hard?

And then he just refuses to elaborate.

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.

Another thing that makes kaladin so painfully relatable is how much his mental illness hides his personality, because between depressive episodes and trauma he's this sarcastic little shit that smiles a lot at his friends and then the depression gets to him and all that disappears

When jakdf!reader begins rambling on about the kaiju bio-material based suits the officers use (with a focus on their resistance and how they might prove difficult to wear at locations with stray voltage) they include known numbered suits into this rant because once you get them to start talking you just cannot stop them— not that shinonome minds one bit. and right now, neither does narumi or so he appears.

And when reader describes 'numbered suits 1' to be relatively softer due to the amount of retina and cerebral tissue it contains- to maximize its main ability- the pseudo foresight-, shinonome is listening with intent, partly because it is interesting and partically because you get adorable when rambling. until from the corner of her eye she catches sight of one particular captain seeming to grow redder and for some reason bashful by the second.

she has half a mind not to roll her eyes at the scene and only out of the differences of rank between them, out of respect for the position he holds because as far as respect goes, that's the only criteria he will be getting that.

why is he getting all flustered over your words? it's not like you are complimenting him, he just happens to wear the said suit. it's ridiculous, shinonome thinks, now a tad annoyed, as narumi's state of being grows for the worse, resulting in her glaring daggers at him. and the whole time... you're just too focused on your speech that you don't notice the odd scene transpiring.
