Hello there!

I purposely created this account to dump all my writings here. I'm not a professional writer, but I do love writing. I used to write everything that I experienced, every dreams I want, every plan I set out to do, every mistakes I made, every embarrassing thing I had done/said, every thought that comes to my mind, every emotion I felt, my breakthroughs, my answered and unanswered prayers, my failures and even just the most mundane thing that happened to me. But somehow, I lose that 'thing' - and consequently, I rarely write anymore. I don't even have a notebook of mine right now, which is not normal because I am the kind of person who can't live without a pen and notebook with her. But I want to write again. I want to relive those moments of satisfaction and bliss and hurt and everything in between all because of writing. And even if I don't have my notebook and pen with me rn, I'll discover and make use of my note app on my phone to store all my writings. So, that's all... I'm just basically sharing that I want to write again.

Within the depths of the woman's mind a great thing was waiting for him. When he whispered, eyes stared back at him. A great bird of white sat upon a branch of black amidst even blacker stars. 

The raven seemed to feel as if it was an embodiment of her mind's eye. She was open, but the space he entered was as wild as the woods that the elf made her home in. It was a rush, a swift wind that had you truly been standing in it, took ones breath away. 

And yet nothing moved. 

The raven bowed its head in acknowledgement of his presence and words.

Self-care is something we all have heard about or we are familiar with more accurately we see it on Instagram or other social media sites as skincare products, yoga poses, fizzy bath bombs, and more. But self-care is more than what is commercialised on our social media feeds. Self -care began as a way to physically take care of yourself. It then developed into caring for your emotional well-being, and even more so the overall healing for women, men, people of color, and more marginalized communities.  Then why do we still consider self-care is being selfish? Maybe you only called off a dinner, declined an invitation where your ex is going to be or you have said no to anything. This might leave you feeling a bit selfish or guilty but trust me sometimes it's alright to keep yourself above anything else. It doesn't matter that you're physically or emotionally exhausted that your mental health is suffering. You might stay awake at night and think about how you could have done something in a different or better way. Saying no to something feels like a failure or you're incapable or amateurish to handle day-to-day life.  But what if staying in helps you? then prioritizing yourself, your energy and healing, is it being selfish? So take a reminder repeat after me: I won't beat myself up for being selfish.
