He has only moments left to live.#I honestly thought LQR died (adaption memory blur) and I did *not* expect him to show up here.#That said it does act as a way more personal blow to LWJ's reputation for LQR to be there.#By staying on WWX's side he's not only throwing his reputation to the wind but also facing familial judgment.#It hits so much harder when the choice isn't an easy one to make.#Choosing to stand at someone's side when they *have* actually messed up - when they do have faults and flaws - that's love.#Love is hard work! Love is not low maintenance and good days every day.#Love is being able to say 'I am choosing to bear your weight when things are heavy.' Love is doing that reciprocally.#Which is 100% a real life lesson I am passing on #And also a plea for why it is so important we give credit to WWX's atrocities.#He *did* do some of that shit. He isn't fully innocent and it gives LWJ's choice so much more weight.

something dan said in the free portion of the podcast about monetisation really stuck with me, like they have been such genuine creators throughout their whole careers and whilst they have made money, it's never felt as if the parts that they were monesting were done purely out of financial motivations because you could see how much love and care they put into the work.

It means so much to a lot of us who grew up with a mostly free internet that slowly got locked behind countless paywalls that we can have content and creators who remain accessible and take a stance against big corporations and ultimately the god forsaken battle of streaming platforms

#one piece #sanji #black leg sanji #everysanji #sbs #this is going to be entirely unrelated to the sbs above here bc i havent seen reservoir dogs #but i feel like i havent done a little tag life update in a minute #as of time of queuing this the season has been going for about a week #work hasnt been too bad we're normally done closing by like 3:45 but we still have to wait for the bus #which doesnt leave until almost 5 which. i get it.#like the lifties dont get done til after 4 and same with retail and such #bc rentals arent due until 4:15 so they have to stay open for at least that long #but man its not fun just chilling in the lodge for over an hour until the busses start loading #but the work is fine i'm enjoying it enough #hopefully by the time this posts i'll have been able to start taking my ski lessons which i'm super excited for #i want to learn to ski so so bad #also!! i managed to befriend one of the ski instructors on accident #he's from the same area i am as well so we talked a lot about that lol #but he's sweet i like talking to him #i made a comment about how my brother was getting so old bc he turns 18 in june and he went #so what does that make me #sorry but you are 21 you are baby to me (a whole 24 years old)#the difference is i've known my brother for his whole life and you for all of like. three days #but yeah that's mod's life so far its been chill #but man i get winded just climbing the stairs up to the lodge every morning #tbf we are at like. 11000 feet above sea level so like #the air is suuuuuuuuper thin #also we're right along the continental divide too #its beautiful 10/10 would recommend #also editing this on 11/21 to add the steve buschemi screengrab

forgive me if you've been asked this before or if its annoying, but how did you learn to use colored pencils like that? your art is so special to me.

ty :) I took an art class for a few years where our teacher had us buy prismacolor pencils as one of the art supplies and had us use them kinda like paints, pressing down hard right away and blending the colors together. its not how youre supposed to use them she was just trying to teach us to use color and ig this was more to the point. I picked them up again years after i stopped going to that class just bc they were there and i wanted to play around w them a bit and ended up actually enjoying it when doing it on my own terms lol

#it was a weird class #it was just this russian lady doing private lessons in her house that my mom learned about somehow #I did NOT like those classes all we did was still life and they were hours long which is esp rough when im in high school and busy #and she wanted us to stand while working the whole time bc tradition i guess?#she did allow me to work sitting but thought i was lazy for it. idk dude i dont want to exhaust myself fast for no reason #standing is a lot more tiring than walking #i def did still benefit from those classes just from learning to accurately draw from life #did not like the teacher tho #on one hand shed paid for the art supplies for kids whos families were too poor to (and these are nice expensive supplies)#which is very nice #but on the other she was very homophobic and open about it #like when they legalized gay marriage she went on a rant about how horrible it is that they can adopt kids now #and also kind of racist #she was telling me how she got blocked from a facebook group bc she made a post asking if she could speak to a white person #and she didnt realize she was posting that publicly she thought it was a private message to the group owner #im honestly still not sure i heard/understood her correctly bc it was so bizzare and the only time i ever remember her being racist #she talked abt it like she genuienly was unaware it was racist #she described it as a misunderstanding bc she accidentally posted it publicly instead of privately #like it wouldnt have been racist to ask that at all #also one time she talked about how she saw demons in her home once #also she doesnt vaccinate her kids bc of microchips #she was like a walking russian stereotype lol #anyway heres some ink the artist lore

#alek art #td duncan #td mal #total drama #total drama all stars #(if i want to get technical)#2024 #duncan is around 15 here... mal is around 16 #ive thought really hard about them these past few days . in my brain they actually knew each other and canon is different #duncan and mike got along really well. in juvie mal refused to speak to anyone about anything and would fight as many people as he could .#he wanted to stay in there and far away from home . they get roomed together and duncan is the first person who mal can talk to . he isnt #scared of him . he relates to him a lot . like -> wow we both act out for attention and people think we are terrible because of it #duncan being a mentally ill teenager seeing mal an also very mentally ill teenager thought 'i can fix him' . mike and duncan speak too here #i cant really see anyone else fronting besides those two . their brain was on lockdown and mike wanted out so bad . i see manitoba as a #gatekeeper so hed handle some sessions with their psych. i want to say they (duncan and mike) get moved to a psyche ward just because #i have more knowledge on being in one and how it goes ... but yeah i like duncan mal a lot . this art isnt ship whatsoever though 🙏 i dont #see them as a couple their dynamic is just better as friends imo #but anyways in all stars they obviously recognize each other but have an unspoken agreement not to say anything abt it #duncan is a known criminal but mike isnt like that . mike hadnt even told zoey about that part of his life . so duncan wanted to respect his #privacy -> then mal starts hurting people and he has to step in . mal isnt a good person by any means but i dont think he was that bad in #juvie . so duncan had to come to terms that his friend wasnt the same person he was years ago (in all stars duncan is ~18 and i think mike #is almost 20... so it had been a while since they last talked)#them getting each other like no other and being in pain because they couldnt really speak . i see them having a conversation still in moon #madness abt their past and history . god i just think abt them and their wasted potential wdym mike and duncan were in juvie together #duncan was in for trespassing or destruction of private property or something really dumb . mal fought his parent(s) and got in for assault #mal was already in when duncan was placed . and duncan was let out early on good behavior + his parents (dad) mostly did it to teach him a #lesson . wrong of them or otherwise . so mal was just kinda stuck there until they realized he was actually not right in the head . think he #knew abt their DID but was only diagnosed in juvie and had to go from there . tbh he shouldve been tried as an adult but td logic . doesnt #matter dw guys . mike gets the 'was put on random meds that made him go braindead' treatment bc that was me . post mental hospital abilify #had me messed up

I'm going to throw you off a roof. Like, you realize he is JUST a guy, right??? A single guy cannot decide that someone should die and kill them, that's not how it works. Weren't we all against cops killing people instead of arresting them, wtf do you think a random (rich and white) guy should be able to do that???

Also, it's a FUCKING COMICS. Like, the Joker will be revived as easily as the batkids are lately. And the writers have no interest in applying rehabilitation, it would not sell if all the famous rogues stopped doing crimes and Gotham got better. And they are USAmericans, half of them probably cannot understand the concept of "rehabilitation > punishment".

Btw, COUNTRIES WITHOUT THE DEATH PENALTY OR EVEN LIFE SENTENCES EXIST! Denmark, for example, doesn’t do life sentences and they are very good at rehabitation. You kind of sound stupid when you argue that something cannot be done while other countries are doing it (very usamerican of y'all) So, accept that you do not know shit about the human's mind and possibility for better, and stop with your usamerican "killing everyone I don't like is good" propaganda.
