hiya! ive got some life series recs if you want them :]

firstly, you dont have to watch every season, or every perspective of a season, to know what’s going on, and hermitcraft is entirely separate (though very fun and worth the watch). you dont even have to watch the seasons in order, but i would recommend doing so, as while each season is technically separate, there tend to be a lot of references across them and knowing why certain people are Like That with each other is incredibly worth it.

for some perspective recommendations:

3rd life: grian, scar, or martyn. 3l is fantastic but povs outside of sand duo (grian and scar) and renchanting (ren and martyn) do lull a bit in comparison since no one really knew what to expect yet and the main conflict ends up being between sand duo and renchanting. it’s super fun, the story of 3l is one of my favorites overall

last life: grian (honestly, he’s a good pov across the board since he tends to be involved in a lot of the main stuff and you get a good idea of everything going on), scar, pearl, joel, or lizzie. there’s a lot going on in ll, and different perspectives have wildly different experiences. someone like joel’s, who goes red quick, is filled with chaos and the hilarity of failed trapped by the dozen, while pearl’s is a bit calmer in how competent of a team she and scott are and is still full of great moments and lots of mischief

double life: pearl!! she was abandoned by her soulmate and has by far one of the most interesting plot lines of the entire series. it’s worth the watch, trust me

limited life: grian, scott, pearl, and scar. limited life has some of the best teams, and wherever you end up, the alliance will be fun. there’s also a really cool episode in pearl and cleo’s povs where they both have to be out and lizzie and gem fill in for them respectively, pretending to be them. grian also has to be gone for a session, but he decides to go afk and see what happens (lots of chaos)

secret life: scar, gem, pearl. its gems debut season, and she absolutely kills it. the gimmick lends for a lot of mischief and theres plenty to be had in every perspective - i especially love scars in how his tasks keep making him into a villain and he eventually just embraces it

real life is an april fools one-off, and very silly. i loved it from gem and pearls povs especially

wild life: lizzie, joel, grian. super fun between all of the wild cards, and i really liked lizzie and joels teams

if you like someones pov in one season, its fun to check out their other seasons to see how their character evolves across them! i hope this helps at all :D
