just finished band of brothers and i'm having many feelings.

first -- the entirety of the hbo war fandom somehow failed to mention that easy company liberated a concentration camp? yeah i get it the way nix looks at dick is earth-shattering but... liebgott having to translate? the bodies ? that episode was hard, and honestly kind of erased all the feelings i was feeling about bastogne. glad liebgott got his headhunt tho.

there is no reason for the way dick and nix look at each other except that they are in love.

web's eyelashes are the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. they should have been nicer to him, on account of his eyelashes.

i learned a lot about the european theater that i didn't know! especially towards the end.

the personal connections were still weird to me. i went to summer camp at toccoa, i have relatives who fought and died in italy, i did a big europe trip in high school that basically went backwards from the show, starting in austria and ending in england. i have a bottle of sand from omaha beach.

still about halfway thru the pacific and i have to say band of brothers ranks second after gen kill. it's a very different kind of show, but gk is still #1 for me.

I am not saying the vaccinator is not absolutely broken, I 100% feel dirty using it against a badly coordinated team, hence I wouldn't mind if it received a nerf in the future.

A lot of people analyse the vaccinator as only useful against a badly coordinated enemy team, but I think it's much better as a weapon for when your own team sucks ass has bad synergy, since any form of uber is pretty much wasted on everyone (if you can even build enough charge). To compensate for everyone's mistakes, just make sure they stay alive long enough to capture points and push the cart. Everyone will automatically stay with you, and soon you'll have a nice meat shield of 4 people swarming around you. You know it's working, when there's suddenly 3 demoknights and a spy after you.

I love micromanaging my resistance bubbles, and I love micromanaging my team without them noticing that I'm doing it. Pressing the R-button to rotate through resistances feels like such a much more engaging contribution to the battles your patients are fighting.

Vaccinator is busted, but absolutely not boring.

I'm seeing sum ppl being like "Sukuna is being sooo unreasonable reacting so angrily bc Yuuji wants to kill him like what did he expect!!!" but Sukuna's not angry bc of that. I think he'd even prefer Yuuji to insta kill him. That whole time he was in the places of Yuuji's memory he's been waiting for Yuuji to get it over with, already. Expecting Yuuji to kill him.

But then

Yuuji basically tells him: That just now? Yeah, it was me giving you a chance. Because, even though i hate you, i dont want to kill you. Because you are human. You don't have to play this role.

And that's what enrages Sukuna so fucking much. The brat has the gall to feel sorry for him. Him, the strongest. Him, someone unabashedly uncaring, unfeeling beyond repair. Evil.

Sukuna is not like other people. He doesn't see himself as people; that's why he can't ever find an "equal", can't even fathom finding one. He doesn't have a role, he does what he wants, because he can.

At this point he can endure Yuuji killing him. He had help, he got lucky, idk, whatever excuse he's probably telling himself will do. He will face it without feeling a thing; not anger, not sadness, no happiness, no fear. He's above it all... But Yuuji feeling sorry for him? Like he's above Sukuna?

Yuuji is threatening Sukuna, yes, but that's not all. He's showing him everything that will be taken away from him. From Sukuna, by Yuuji.

Like Sukuna is like any other mortal who walks the Earth. Vulnerable. A human being instead of a monster.
