You finish the other side of the company, calling Ada as you step into the elevator.

"Hm? No, I'll make it home on time, I promise. Yes, Luis threw a fit on Twitter. No, it wasn't on purpose."

You look up at the stopped floor, stepping to the side as Leon walks in.

"Thank you for the mooncakes." He smiles.

"Of course." You nod. "Hm? Yeah. Well, I don't exactly keep it a secret, do I? Our official account seems much more adamant on calling me a fairy. Hm? What? Oh... sure? Why?"

You watch as Leon steps out on the base floor, and you chase after to grab his arm, hanging up as you do.

"I'm free." He pauses. "Sorry for cutting you off. I'm free after this. Your place or hers?"

"We're roommates. So... ours." You nod. "You need a ride?"

"If you don't mind. I don't trust myself at the wheel."

"Do you have your license?"

"It's kind of hard to live without one in the States." Leon mumbles.

"One more floor down, then." You hit the elevator, yawning as you wait.

"Long day?"

"Fairy business is not to be taken lightly." You shake your head. "I'm tired from making all of the mooncakes yesterday. That's why."

"They're handmade?"

"Yes?" You raise a brow. "Oh, yeah. It's all handmade. That's why Ada and Luis are cooking dinner tonight."

"And Wesker? Aren't you guys a group of four?"

"And Wesker... Wesker's in Germany for a shoot right now."

"Insane."

"Yeah. It's what being a supermodel does. Ada's only here because she took the week off. She flies tomorrow to see family."

"Right. Back to Flushing?"

You nod. "I'm not going this year."

"Stuck catsitting?"

You raise a brow at him. "And where'd you learn I have a cat?"

So strongly bluish were the silk sheets that they easily merged with the glimpse of the night sky highlighted by the open window, the light scent of rosemary spread in the room's air made everything even more relaxing and welcoming. A smiling sigh left your lips as your body settled over the silky fabric that enveloped the soft mattress, such contact made every muscle soften and forget for a few seconds any stress you had at that day. 

Not far away, a fragrance of diamond lilies possessed the surroundings, overcoming the scent of rosemary with a hint of freshness as company. Your permanent smile widened, and lying on your side you had a wryly angelic vision of your dear Cereza emerging from the bathroom of your shared room, her short ebony hair being dried gracefully by a terry towel, her body adorned in an amethyst satin nightgown subtly reaching her thighs and the beautiful face without her infamous glasses. She was quick to capture your watchful gaze, cocking corner by corner of her lips a smile of movement so solemnly akin to a cat's dexterity.

“What do you admire so much, my little mooncake?” Cereza articulated the query in her smooth voice and intoxicating accent.

You chuckled through your nose, lying on your stomach, your legs crossed in the air.

The well-known Bayonetta walked towards you with gentle, feline steps, her long plump legs moving with politeness; she leaned over you and placed both hands on either side of your arms, the veil of avidity dressing every feature of her alluring face.

“I'm looking at her right now,” in a honeyed whisper, Cereza nuzzled the tip of her nose with yours, laughing softly and lovingly. Goosebumps formed trails all over your body in the company of a warm feeling in your inner being.

Embarrassed and without retort, you discreetly pulled your face away from hers, your hands running affectionately like silent snakes from the arms to the shoulders of the Umbra Witch; the mingled scent of rosemary and diamond lilies there on her satiny skin.

Cereza's throat rumbled something like a luscious, delectable purr, her slender body slowly snuggling up to yours. Within seconds, you were both entwined on the azure sheets, laying your head on the witch's ample breasts and circling your arms around her curvy waist. In return, Cereza looped her leg through yours and hugged your torso; breathing in the sweet smell of your hair, occasionally peppering your forehead with butterfly-light kisses.

“Hm…” you did, murmuring against her skin. “I wanna be big spoon this time.”

“But you're tiny,” she couldn't help the short laugh at the end of the sentence, her voice slightly muffled.

You lifted your head with your chin finding support on one of Cereza's soft breasts, your lips forming a ready pout.

“Just this once?”

The Umbra Witch's gray irises stared at your asking features. An ebony brow rising along the left corner of her rosy smile.

“That puppy dog ​​face of yours isn't going to work for me, mooncake,” Cereza pinched the bridge of your nose lightly between her fingers. You grumbled, smiling with warm cheeks.

Your face was guided by the witch's warm hand back to her bust, you closed your eyes and relaxed into the loving arms of your beloved one. For one last time that night, Cereza placed a permanent kiss on your forehead. The comfort of sleep lulled both of you, the most special memory before Morpheus relaxed your mind was a velvety whisper of "I love you" originated from your Cereza.

Hello, Zuko here. [Awkward introduction moment] Anyways, I guess I could describe myself as an ambivert person (she/her) with an alt-soul - if I hadn't been urged to suppress it, I would have ended up being punk/grunge long ago... Sadly, I got accustomed to the society's norms over the years - though I try to show my real personality from time to time. I love various genres of rock and metal, but my favourite one is by far symphonic metal. (Gatekeepers are NOT welcome in this blog so I will say this politely: go away) Currently, I am majoring in computer science with a minor in psychology and living together with my boyfriend and our pet Mooncake (which is in fact a robot vacuum, I am not responsible enough to own a cat, yet). I love daydreaming about my OCs and I can come up with a thousand little details about them. I also love integrating those details into my story whenever possible. But the game is sometimes limiting and I can't show everything that I'd like to show, that's why I'm so grateful for OC asks: I get the chance to mention all those things that make up my characters and that would never get mentioned otherwise.

(I'm writing a whole essay again, I'll try to make it short)

So here are a few facts from previous character development questions/oc asks in which I've mentioned a detail that was simply never mentioned or shown in the story, directly or indirectly. :)

Nathaniel: drives too fast and gets speeding tickets. Would have liked to be a piano teacher.

Theo: got the 'heart of stone' lifetime reward. Likes Carmina Burana.

Ralph: was an alcoholic at some point. [NB: that's actually more or less induced in the very first scene in which he appears, which is in a watering hole] Listens to country music. Likes to sniff Pippa's belongings (like a dog!).

Sam: is a fan of Lily Allen. Has a husky voice. Tried to make latte art but failed. Uses "moron" a lot. Is a spendthrift.

Noah: was supposed to become a gigolo in my original storyline for him. Is a repressed Borderline.

Ash: actually strongly autistic-coded. He described love as being (I quote) "a four-leaf clover". Forgets pens everywhere he goes.

Uli: is scared of pigeons.

Ivy: her mother died of cancer when she was a baby. Is scared of old age and her body failing her. Likes sex toys.

Seth: the car he repaired at some point in the story was bought by Yu Wong (Anh's grandmother). His greatest fear was that Erik would suffer from something he's done. Doesn't like people touching him (except his wife).

Tristan: his rings are signet rings (the one on his thumb bears his family crest, the one on his little finger has a rather unidentifiable gemstone coming from his mother). Met in person King Louis XIV of France, Bach and Charlie Chaplin.

Laurie: his favorite drink is Gin & Tonic. Has a Discord account.

Anh: loves mooncakes. Watches anime.

Eloise: doesn't like video games. Loves the holiday season and listening to Tristan playing the piano.

Erik: is a fan of Deadpool and Wolverine. Loves the smell of gasoline and cinnamon.

These words made HanaAoi(+Akanene) fanfic appear in my head. The action takes place after they manage to return to their real world and time at school begins to flow normally.

Hanako and his assistant and no.1 walked between the students and parents. It seemed like no one remembered what happened. Which was a good thing for them. They didn't have to turn back time at school. At one point, the three of them saw that Aoi was looking for them and looking around. Akane was happy and wanted to speak and run, but he didn't have time, because what he saw made him freeze, not only him, but also his assistant.

"AOI-CHAN!!!" Hanako shouted happily, hugging her waist so tightly that the girl leaned slightly and was surprised at the same time. Hanako held her in his arms, happy that you were okay. Aoi didn't know what was happening or why he reacted like that, but it felt good. She blushed slightly and hugged her back, leaving nene and Akane unable to move in shock and just watching. "NanaBanSama, is something wrong?" Aoi asked, confused "No, nothing. You're safe and sound." He tightened the pressure, broke away from her and they looked into each other's eyes. Hanako was smiling sincerely, his happy eyes shining with stars and the smile on his face showing his teeth confirmed it. Aoi still didn't understand and looked like that. "NanaBan-" "Amane Kun" "Huh?" "My real name is Yugi Amane, call me Amane-Kun" Aoi started giggling in surprise, placing her hands on his shoulders "Okay, Amane-Kun." Everything was watched by two people whom Hanako had forgotten about. "Aoi-Chan?!" yashiro repeated "Amane-Kun?!" Akane denied a nd the whole image of yashiro's imagination of Hanako kissing Aoi falls apart They turned towards them as they heard giggling on both sides. "Amane-Kun,Amane-Kun,Amane-Kun" Aoi repeated "Aoi-Chan, this is embarrassing" Red Hanako said with a slightly embarrassed voice "You're so adorable!" She laughed "You too" He grabbed her cheeks and started playing with her cheeks just like he always wants to comfort someone when someone is sad. At one point he noticed that they were selling ice cream, he grabbed her hand and they ran in that direction, Akane and yahsiro just watched what was happening there. Aoi ordered ice cream for him and her. He gave her a bite of the ice cream, and she gave her a bite of the ice cream, and they held hands and laughed. "So how do you explain it?!" yashiro with tears in his eyes, holding the shocked Akane by the arms and tugging at him. "Calm down….there has to be some rational explanation!" He grabbed her wrists "What kind?!!!" "Hey, what's wrong with you?" Hanako shouted Akane and yashiro looked at them. Hanako was flying around in a cat position, with a cat mask on her hat on her side, and Aoi had a lot of different fluffy teddy bears in her hands. "You know I won all those teddy bears. Amane-Kun couldn't win a single one" she laughed loudly "Aoi-chan?!" yashiro was surprised by her friend's behavior and grabbed her forehead with her hands in disbelief "You were lucky!" Hanako said "I'll win the next one. And if I win, you buy me a mooncake!" He said a little angry "Someone here can't lose" she laughed "I accept the challenge! I wonder if the ghost has money" She stuck her tongue out at him "You get the money ready!" He said and they left "Akane-Kun, have we returned to the real world?" "Yes" "Then why does it feel like I'm in the matrix?" "Who knows...." Akane and nene tried to interfere between them, but they ended up staying together and Hanako and Aoi spending time together. While drinking juices, they saw Aoi feeding Hanako a mooncake with a smile on her face.

1. Yes! Pets are allowed in the palace. It usually depends on the current ruler, but pets are allowed! As for current pets, I don't have a full list written down, so here are ones I know off the top of my head:

Consort Re has a really old and grumpy cat. It likes to bite and scratch everyone that's not Consort Re or her children.

Lunsu has a hunting dog named Wonton. He's very spoiled and fat so... not really a hunting dog anymore!

Dapang has a horse named Midnight and a snake named named Pearl

Luexia has a big fluffy cat named Mooncake

MC has a pet. You can choose between a dog, cat, bird, or snake.

Casao has a few birds! (and a tiger at one point)

Kenlu has ants (like the bug)

The others younger than Kenlu are too young to own their "own" pets, so they share with their siblings.

Consort Xing won't let animals in her palace. So none of her children have any. Duanzu has tried to sneak several animals in, but he's always caught.

3. MC kind of already knows how to fight and ride a horse. They aren't very good, but it's basic lessons all princes and princesses undergo since the Consort Wars. But there will be a CDrama moment!

4. I really want to talk about the magic system, but I'll hold off and just answer your question.

All of them can do magic. Everyone in Nian can do magic. But some people have more Magic Aptitude than others.

In the case of the Nan family, those are: Kutuo, Shuailu, Luexia, Kenlu, and, recently, Quanying.

In Nian, Magic Aptitude tests are given yearly to all children who are 5 by a specific date. The tests measures various different aspects of the a person's magic and then categorizes them. If you want to know more, just send another ask!

That said, the ones with more Magic Aptitude, are actually less likely to have a little oopsie! But all of them (besides the ones with Magic Aptitude) have done an oopsie! Some may have nearly burnt the palace down, not naming names 👁, while others are less disastrous.

It's September 17!!! Which means it's the birthday of everyone's (my) favourite pharmaceutical doctor🥺🥺🥺I love her so much 🥺🥺🥺

It's no surprise that she's my current obsession and a lot of my brainrot is based on her orz so ofc I had to do her justice for her birthday! Which is today -- September 17~

Since Sept 17 this year is also Mid Autumn Fest I was hoping to draw her eating some mooncake maybe with Ceres or Vail or Elise 🤔🤔🤔 Let's see if I can squeeze in a sketch tomorrow.

As for how she usually celebrates her birthday? I imagine usually with her friends and Vail XD Maybe this year, they had hotpot and mooncakes 🤣* I imagine her favourite filling might be low sugar red bean or lotus seed. I tried to draw some lotuses in the BG of her birthday art but uhhhh I free handed them so they might not be the best. Comparing this year to last year's piece, I'm super proud of my improvement. I tried to keep everything almost the same except her hair is a little longer since it's been a year~ I think the main improvement is me being able to draw hands sometimes now XD (I REALLY TRIED FOR THIS PIECE T_T) Maybe you might notice other improvement I've made? 🥺

Let's also compare last year's Lei bday art (2023) compared to this year's (2024). For some reason last year's art looks really wonky in terms of the face even though I actually drew the sketch on pencil traditionally??? Also ofc there's no hands drawing LOL And the hair is shorter but for some reason there's no green dye? Although in this year's piece note that the green dye migrated cuz she didn't dye her hair so it simply,,, moved down LOL as her hair grew

💜 It's no surprise that this graphic novel was a Goodreads Choice Award Nominee in 2019. From hard-of-hearing Nova and her sapphic grandmothers to nonbinary Tam, this graphic novel is full of diversity and representation. The smallest details tugged at my heartstrings: the magical Black Cat bookstore and cafe (complete with SIX black cats [and I thought my two were a handful]), Tam's adorable little pointy ears and fangs, the Sailor Moon poster, Nova's colorful hearing aids, Nova's Young Adult book pics (I recognized a few!!), ALL the cozy fall vibes. I could go on and on. The friends-to-lovers queer romance is cute, Nova's bestie shipping them is adorkable, and the art makes me eager to watch the leaves change this autumn. There's no end to the cute and cuddly feels.

🦇 The story is a bit simple, unfortunately. I read Paper Planes by Jennie Wood this year (also brimming with representation) and beyond its focus on identity were examinations into poverty, racism, and bullying. Not every graphic novel needs layers upon layers for a good story, of course, but it seems like Mooncakes touched on topics it could have delved further into. Nova's parents visit her as GHOSTS, but the story never fully examines her grief (or the INABILITY to grieve when your parents can still visit you as phantoms). Tam makes a comment about their mother not fully accepting their wolf side or queerness; how does that lack of acceptance weigh on Tam? Instead of examining these issues, Nova and Tam decide to leave and start their own journey. I would love a follow-up to this story that delves into the emotional aspects of the characters, allowing the story to grow from Young Adult to New Adult.

🦇 Recommended for anyone looking for a light witchy read full of beautiful representation! For fans of Nimona, Pumpkinheads, Crumbs, Squad, and The Price and the Dressmaker.

Marinette has a "chinadoll" haircut haha, since growing up I used to have this haircut alot,, and honestly it was a pretty common haircut I'd see some of my friends have too as well haha

Decided to make her hero costume have more features of a cheongsam!! (Also thr coattails(?) at the back r like ladybug wing shaped) Bc I don't like how the show blatantly makes her look white passing to the point where her only Asian feature (can I even call it that.) Is the fact that her hair is naturally black (most white people have black hair too..)

Adrien pretty much looks the same apart from the fact I gave him like a silly cat necklace thing (a gift Chloe gave him in elementary I thinks :])

Decided to give him a more casual wear hero outfit!! Bc I hc that the miraculous holders' hero outfits are what THEY want to wear whilst fighting crime!! So he has a very different outfit from his fancy modeling outfits! Bc I doubt he would want to wear something skintight all the time u_u

This is a very random point but I would write an episode about mid autumn festival!! It's celebrated in Chinese culture and I think Marinette's family's bakery could have like an episode centering around them making mooncakes for the festival and Marinette abandoning helping out her parents for her friends !! And something something someone gets akumatized .. I'm just a sucker for miscommunication in a family setting in episodes and this story could touch on some goods and bads abt the concept of filial piety :) (and it isn't stupid like Marinette lying to her parents and following Adrien overseas to Shanghai TT)

Biography

Not much is known about Callisto, other than she is a Knight of Asch.

Callisto is a very loyal to the people she serves despite previously being an assassin like Leif she's not near as bloodthirsty as he is. For a Daemos she's very kind and pure you don't really get kindness from a Daemos. Like pierce she's a girl of a few words and lets her actions speak for her. Though she can be shy at times because, she's somewhere else instead of home

In the first episode, To The Other Side, it is shown that Callisto,Pierce, Leif, Rhys, and Noi are all trying to collect a Soul, where they fight over for who gets to give it to Asch. When Pierce grabs the Soul, Asch casts a ring of fire around him, while everyone bows to Asch when he checks on them.

It was said by Lady Grandma, that the magic throughout Daemos is fading, and that everyone in Daemos might soon lose their magic. Lady Grandma then flirts with Pierce, following up that she needs someone with power to help her make the spell. Pierce, being too awkward to go up, asks Noi. Lady Grandma then has Noi hold her hand, while she makes the spell for Asch to cast to lead them to the "new world" to find magic for Daemos. Asch then takes the spell from Lady Grandma and casts it, which opens a portal to the new world. Asch and the others find out that the new world they are going to is Earth. Asch, followed by Callisto , Pierce, Leif, Noi, and Rhys, go into the new world.

While stepping onto Earth, the oxygen level for them is heavily dangerous (i.e. Noi and Asch's skin start to 'burn' from the sun, and Leif can hardly breathe and move, along with Rhys and Pierce having a hard time breathing as well). Asch suffocates from the "lack" of air and 'dies' where Ava just so happens to be throwing out her garbage. When she encounters the boys, she sees Asch on the ground. Ava then proceeds to give Asch CPR to bring him back to life. Pierce then grabs Ava and hangs her on a tree branch by her sweater/hoodie.

Later, Asch and the gang head back to Ava, where he demands that she descends from the tree and Ava begins to yell at Asch, not understanding that they aren't role-playing. Asch gets angry and burns down the tree Ava is stuck on, letting her down. Ava is shocked by this and grabs Asch's horn to see if it is real. Because of this Asch blushes, (and Leif says "Not in public!", so Grabbing horns/rubbing them could be sexual for Daemos). Pierce then covers Noi's eyes, making sure he doesn't see Ava touching Asch's horn. Ava realizes that Asch and his friends, are in fact real demons and she passes out. Johnny, Ava's cat, then rubs up against Asch's leg, and leads the gang to a place to take Ava but not be seen. Asch follows him, along with Callisto, Leif, Noi, and Rhys, while Pierce carries Ava away.

Appearance

Callisto has a medium light skin tone and a scar on her cheek most likely from an accident between her and Asch when they were children.  Like the other her horns curve to represent the shape of a moon crescent hence why her horns resemble them. She sports two earrings on one of her ears.

Out of her and the others besides pierce she's the second quietest one of The group she's very kind and pure for a woman from a species you don't really see kindness from. Like pierce she's a girl of a few words letting her actions speak for her. ughghghhhh everything happen at once (cw: farm animal illness)

so if it wasn't enough that farm season is in full swing, market is coming up, AND i'm swamped with illustration work

one of our hens is extremely ill & we're not totally sure what the problem is. she has visible mites so we cleaned & sprayed the coop AND her (we'll also spray the rest of the flock just to be safe), but i think they may be more of a symptom than the cause because the other hens all seem fine. my fear is that she's egg-bound and if that's the case there's like...not that much we can do for her. we tried giving her a warm bath to relax her muscles but apparently that doesn't have a great success rate

i did feel that there was an egg in there this morning and she didn't lay yesterday...i'm afraid to try to push the egg out myself because if it breaks the resulting infection can kill her. the weird thing is she's not straining at all or giving any signs of even trying to lay. Mooncake what is wrong with you!!!

at this point we're sort of resigned to losing her if we can't figure this out in the next day or two :( i feel guilty but i'm pretty positive no vet around here would see her, nobody rural takes their chickens to the vet because they're just considered disposable. ours are in sort of a weird place between pets and layers, they all have names & we care about them & we won't cull them when they stop laying (they get to retire) but they're not family like the cats are

it's hell trying to look up anything about chicken health because everything tells you opposite information! i'm so tired
