as pickle turns around, hand still on the door handle, all their stuffed packed and car waiting outside, they remind Isaac “you know where to find me”
“and i know where to look” he responds, the tranquility on his face betrayed by the tear rolling down his cheek

Hello Lakehouseshipping People, have we considered for angst content that the “missing” Professor might have been zapped away through malfunctioning of the prototype time machine? For example, Sada and Turo go to bed, but Sada wakes up to sound and checks it out. She enters the time machine room to check it out. Maybe she even turns it off, but suddenly the machine activates and ZAP. We are left with an empty lab, and Sada so far from home.
Turo wakes up to a fussy Arven and wonders where Sada is. All he finds is an empty lab, not even a goodbye note. He will never understand why she walked out on them, and he carries that grief until the end.
Bonus points if the malfunction was because of fucked code in the Paradise Protection Protocol :)

Ok but like imagine this: you're best friends with the straightest girl in the world. She makes jokes about you being more fun and amazing than any prince. You make jokes about her naming her firstborn after you. You're destined to lose her. One day your whole world will be gone, all your friends and family, and it will just be you and some stranger who came to rescue you because it was written down. It's all any of you have ever known. You will marry a boy born a century after you. But you see the way she smiles when you guys talk about your future, so you keep it down. It's what your parents expect, what your friends want, what the world is telling you is the right thing to do. You swallow down the apprehension and fear and eventually it becomes so easy it's second nature.
Then something changes. A girl says this isn't how things have to be. Maybe this isn't even how things are supposed to be. And you're angry, because you've been playing this stupid part your whole life and it's as bad as hers, so why can't she just fall in line? Can't she see the pain she's causing everyone (the pain she's causing your best friend)?
You try to make things right. You tell people that the girl is wrong, that things aren't meant to change, that everything is fine. You do everything you can to make your best friend feel better, you push down your own thoughts on the situation because they're not what's important right now. Your opinion has always waited in second, it clearly can now too, right?
Right?
But you can't stop thinking about that day. The sound of the page tearing. At the time it sounded like something horrible, like something disgusting and forbidden and scary. But you keep going back to it. You keep thinking of what would happen if you did the same. If you didn't have to leave your friends behind. If the terrible future you'd resigned yourself to your whole life wasn't as inevitable as it once seemed. The sound of the tearing page begins to sound like freedom.
Your best friend doesn't get it. She thinks you're being selfish and erratic and crazy. You push each other away. Of course she didn't understand. She never thought about things like that. Never thought about you like that.
Things keep changing. More people say they haven't been happy with the way things are. Your other best friend says she's in love with a boy she's not supposed to be in love with, and you start to realise that things are more broken than they seemed.
You go to Wonderland. You made a mistake, a big one, but you're trying to fix it. Things are still awkward between you and your best friend. She still thinks you're wrong. But she accepts that she can't change your mind, and you guys are beginning to admit that, even though things can't go back to how they were, maybe you can still have a future together. Maybe you don't have to lose her after all.

I feel like these two have a lot of similar trauma by the end of the show..... surviving the Darklands, magical corruption, etc. I like to think they'd talk about it sometimes.

gojo constantly tells you he'd die for you. at the start of your relationship, you would kind of roll your eyes at the comment. he's so dramatic, you'd think to yourself, though you'd appreciate the sentiment nonetheless. but as time went on, and as your relationship blossomed, you began to feel a pang in your heart every time he said it.
an ache so deep in your spirit, that you could cry whenever he'd go on a mission. because you knew, that while he was fighting for a better society, for the eradication of curses and corruption, there was a large part of him that was fighting solely for you. for your safety. and if that meant he had to die for that to happen, so be it.
i don't want you to die for me. words you never thought you'd have to say to the love of your life. you want to spend the rest of your life with this man. why must he insist on showing his love in death?
he'd always give you a little smile when you'd say that, because he knows tears will be following soon after.
i know. there wasn't much more to be said after that. just a mutual understanding that a devastating heartbreak is lingering somewhere down the line, inevitable. he just hopes that in his next life, he gets to spend more time with you.

thinking about postcanon grace once again. people have mentioned that she doesn't really have friends that we're aware of- she talks to some people in ab camp I guess but they're never mentioned again. she was never really close with any of the nerds other than sort of rudimentarily being on their side. lautski have each other and neither of them particularly liked her- after the end of the show she's most likely totally alone.
even in the community she presumably has in regards to her faith- she based her entire worth on her chastity and now that's gone. does she ever tell her parents about all the shit that happened? do they support her anyway? do they make her beg forgiveness?
all of this is to say who does grace have in the end... other than the 5 eldritch deities using her as a puppet

Something I’ve noticed about Roman’s arc is from Roman’s perspective this must be the most infuriating game of mixed signals
So first he’s a dick to Virgil ((not nice but Virge wasn’t exactly reaching across the aisle in that regard)) and he’s called out on it. So Roman changes!
So when the next Dark Side pops up (Janus) he’s much more willing to hear him out. And he gets guilt tripped by Patton for it
So he takes Patton’s lead and starts treating Deceit like the villain the others make him out to be. And suddenly Patton and Thomas are switching it up and Roman’s in the wrong once again!
If they’re going to treat Roman like a villain no matter what he decides to do. Why should he bother trying to act like a hero?
“Virgil is bad! No wait Virgil is good… janus is good too??? No! Janus is ba- wait janus is good”
maybe if he didnt spend so much time passed out on the floor he’d know what’s up
