(Also, since when is Helena straight? Didn't she have a fling with Renee Montoya at one point? Or am I remembering wrong? I think it was in the Lois Lane solo series. Plus they were flat out living together during Convergence.)

As far as I know the convergence situation was DC being like “they were just roommates” and then in Lois Lane Rucka was like HERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE WHERE THEY KISS!!! THEY KISS AND THEYRE GAY HA! and as far as I remember (correct me if I’m wrong because it’s been a minute since I looked at it and I have the memory of a small animal) that was only one panel like a peek into that alternative universe that may or may not be canon.

But DC hasn’t outright admitted that Helena is bisexual or pansexual or whatever sexual she might actually be (as far as I’ve seen and genuinely still learning A LOT about her so I don’t know it all) I’ve read implying and hinting and read between the lines “wink wink”

This one was Helena from PIpelines, as suggested by @laurie-juspeczyk, because Wonder Woman's v neck shoulder thing made a good place to anchor Helena's shoulder pads.

her face was unsurprisingly the hardest to apoxie as it had so much detail but i'm happy with how it turned out ^_^

I preserved as much mobility as possible in the arms. Her shoulders can rotate forward and backwards, but she can't move her arms out to the side because her shoulder pads block it. but she still can bend her arms at the elbows; I was very careful to keep the apoxie out of her elbow joints.

The change to her outfit I made (besides not getting all of her belt pouches) was I did not give her her knee pad, because that would have made her lower legs look even longer than they already do, and DC superhero girls dolls have REALLY long calves

Ok I'm coming to a conclusion about Helena's development as she moves into being a gotham based hero...

As you start, batman's antagonism towards her comes off as unjustified, as we almost never see her do anything wildly conflicting with what he'd do. If I'm not mixing it up, she's only killed a couple people. Then, we start an era of her being in Gotham, and it seems like so much of her immoral methods are just stated by other characters and she's never yet portrayed with them.

However, in a comic I've just read, she's depicted as accepting herself as ruthless and a rulebreaker, even as mercy is her first resort. She owns that she's a rulebreaker even as her target is left in more or less the exact same state as batman and robin's.

Basically, it almost feels like she's been pigeonholed and accused so much that she's started believing it and taken the "if that's what everyone thinks of me" route. if everyone thinks she's the brutal, shoot first ask questions later sort of vigilante, then fine, that's what she'll be.... which is honestly heartbreaking.
