He calls himself a scientist and fancies himself as your rival!

Ohoho, it's hilarious that he thinks he can call himself my rival! Sure, he may have gotten lucky enough to hold up decently in a couple of fights and beat me in a race to detonate that missile but - He comes nowhere close to my level of power and genius!

He is but an eight year old boy that just happens to have read a few books and knows how to tinker with a few pieces of inferior, easy to use tech and thinks it means he can call himself a scientist! Well, I was already smarter at his age but I was a very special case.

Still, whenever the upstart dares to challenge me, I don't hold back! I'd be delighted to have another face off with him so I can put that little brat in his place with a good beat down with my mechs. Maybe I'll bring out my Eggwalker again to make it extra personal!

I'll be sure to taunt him for the two tailed mutant freak he is and remind him he's in the presence of a superior adult with decades more scientific knowledge and experience under his belt! I'll destroy whatever silly inferior tech he has on hand to make my point because it's pathetic compared to my own!

The boy needs to be humbled, especially after he dared to call himself a better scientist after the Phantom Ruby prototypes mishap! I'll make sure he knows his days are numbered if he keeps getting in my way and aiding that blasted hedgehog and have him running off with his tails between his legs.

And I'll be sure to carry out on that threat if he persists and destroy him for good! His namesakes will look nice pinned to my wall, so I'll try to keep those intact. Then they'll finally be useful for something other than a target for him to be bullied - for my bragging rights, that is. I'd call that the ultimate "putting him in his place", hoho!

originally had a super long multi paragraph ramble about this written out but then realized i did not have to say all that . anyway . i think that the reason some little animal guy sonic characters have last names while most others just go by (name) the (species) has to do with cultural differences... the fact that the characters with last names are also the same characters who have more human sounding first names makes me think that they were born in an area that had a large human population, or that their parents or grandparents were, so their family was influenced by human naming practices

#that or their parents are two different animals and they have traits from both so they just go by a last name for simplicitys sake #that headcanon is kinda taken from archie sonic btw there are a few archie characters who have parents that are different animals #and iirc they all use last names rather than species names #though those characters tend to only inherent one parents species rather than looking like a combination of both #obviously these reasonings wouldnt apply to everyone there would still be exceptions . like shadow #who was created by humans and exclusively interacted with humans before the events of sa2 but still goes by shadow the hedgehog #though i feel like hes a special case because the robotnik last name would probably raise a lot of questions #or make people wanna start digging around in his private business. so maybe he just doenst use that name publicly #because he doesnt feel like dealing with all that. or maybe he chooses to not use it as a way of not living in the past all the time. idk #Hiii im the number one guy who thinks way too much about random sonic worldbuilding stuff that doesnt matter

It's Wednesday!

I don't have much writing I can show (I've been in a bit of a funk until recently) but I do have doodles related to said writing (that I have started doing again as of last week).

These aren't great. I was experimenting with a new art style and I'm still working out the kinks + these were warm-up doodles 😭

This one's a little wonky bc I need to work on my symmetry without the symmetry tool + workshop the new style, but this is from the next Fluffcember one-shot! I'm hoping to finish it this weekend, but it might take a little longer.

This is some concept art for Amy in my new AU inspired by Hollow Knight (if you couldn't tell with the mask)
