yh a lil bit! in terms of demeanour he is a lot like nine except daddy issues and rich kid smugness stapled onto him

Hey there, I was wondering if Tails has a presence in the Diamond Castle AU?

Sorry if it this same or anything similar been asked before. I might be an insane dumb enjoyer of all that is the two tailed fox but, I totally get if they’re very minor, a character of antiquity of the Au or, just not in it.

My apologies for the ramble, I just wanted to get across that I’m not trying to force the character into your story.

yes tails is in the au!! He’s one of sonic’s attendants and is also a cloud nymph

his tails are literal clouds and they can growl to whatever size he wants and he usually just lays on them when he’s busy being a cloud!!

i honestly had a. Bit of trouble with coming up with what tails is up to fztdyxjyfi

cuz like i def wanted him to be Sonic’s attendant, 100%, but the problem with that is i just don’t picture Sonic ever getting an attendant the same way Shadow got his. he got turned into god against his will so he views this as kind of burden and curse so he wouldn’t wish that upon anyone

so i had to think about ways to go about this without turning Tails into a god when it hit me that i could just make Tails a nymph, cuz nymphs have longer lifespans than mortals!

he spied sonic, post being turned into a god, dancing in the gardens of the castle and decided to follow him around in cloud form while Sonic avoided his responsibilities to run, laze around and help a few mortals.

Tails thought this guy was the coolest guy ever but, since Sonic was a new guy, Tails didn’t know exactly who he was, he just guessed he was an attendant of one of the muses or smthn

eventually sonic noticed him and snuck up on tails to shock him out his cloud form

they got to talking and chilling and eventually (probably due to mephiles nagging him to get a move on and get attendants already) Sonic asked Tails if he’d wanna be his attendant and Tails accepted!

Prince Shadow, heir to the throne of the black arms, is spreading the reign of terror of his father, King Doom, throughout the magical land of Andalasia until brave knight, Amy Rose, faces him in battle in attempt to bring and end to his campaign and after a long hard fight Shadow emerges victorious and rides off into the sunset with Amy hogtied on the back of his horse (yes this is all in the span of one epic musical number)

Then when he returns and gives his prisoner to the guards, Doom, fearing the day his son would take the throne, shows him to his secret portal waterfall that he calls a ‘wishing well’ and tells him that as a gift he can wish for whatever he likes and as he does that Doom ‘accidentally’ pushes him in

Next thing he knows he ends up in a strangle city with lots of glowling lights billboards and metallic creatures with wheels cars

Then, while he’s walking in the middle of the road, Sonic hits him with car and then Sonic takes him to the hospital. The doctor’s find that Shadow is pretty much unharmed but tell Sonic he has a severe concussion and amnesia cuz he’s talking like a fantasy villain and trying to attack the doctors (they had to tranquillise him). He has no records and they don’t have any way to find any contacts so Sonic offers to let him stay at his house

Plot and shenanigans ensue

whenever i think about diamond castle au Sonadow (specifically post petrification) i always just think of ‘I Was Wrong’ by the Oh Hellos

oughhh it just fits that regret in them so well

Diamond Castle au- Maria, attendant of the Muse of History, Astronomy and Astrology + alt hairstyle

When Apollo made Shadow a god and saved Maria’s life, Maria asked if it was at all possible for her to stay by her brother’s side, the way he had done for her his entire life thus far. So she was made immortal as well and made the first of Shadow’s personal attendants

She still needed a cane to walk some days due to a tremble in her legs, but the ailment that was killing her was completely gone!

Her job was to assist Shadow in his duties, help him with any needs, and tend to the castle. It sounded simple enough but, Shadow being Shadow, he insisted that he needed no help with his new job which, in turn, made those first two parts of her job… difficult.

It was a constant (lighthearted) battle between the two where Maria would sometimes be able to wear Shadow down and the times where Shadow’s stubbornness would win out in the end

But on the bright side it did allow her a lot of spare time to explore and tend to the diamond castle, like in placing the newly formed diamond in the castle’s structure, taking care of the gardens, organising books in the library, etc.

She was even able to explore the mortal realm like she’d always wanted to!
