here's my unfinished comic that i'm probably never going to finish that's been bothering me for almost a YEAR now... This was part of my metal sonic au that I still delude myself i will return to posting about some day. Idk, maybe, but this is the very beginning of the story, in which Metal accidentally becomes somewhat organic (which was supposed to happen at the end of this comic which was supposed to be like 30 pages but i turned out to be weak)

WHEW! well you can look at my old ass drawings of organic metal sonic in the tag under this very name and maybe I will draw something more for this one day, cause I still think about this story sometimes. For now I hope you freaking enjoyed this comic that almost killed me last february, i almost gave myself carpal!

Something something Robotnik spent so much of his life having to make joy for himself on his own that he didn't realise Stone was important to him until Gerald tried to kill him and shattered his pre-concieved notions of what love was.

Being an orphan had a part in how he perceived the idea of love. He never had any friends, no romantic partners, because to him, there was no expectation that someone would inherently love him just for the sake of it. He was 'undesirable'. So, he entertained himself with his creations, and with his own personality.

He latched onto the chance to connect with his grandfather in Sonic 3 because to him, that relationship is where he expected to find someone who loved him on the basis that they were family.

Stone brought him happiness in ways so simple...

so unique...

so realistic...

that it wasn't until he was about to die that Robotnik clocked it as genuine care and affection. Something that Gerald never felt for him, and only Stone had ever given him.

So safe to say they make me insane actually

Hello doctor! What is your dream partner? (You can't say yourself) What qualities would you want in them??

I don't have a "dream" partner because I don't dream of having one. I'll occasionally dabble for a bit of excitement but I have no interest in the long term commitment of a serious established partner.

However, I have made a couple of lists of my what my requirements and standards would be, since you all asked before.

And everything of the list I shared here too, as it applies not just to marriage but everywhere.

Of course, the real true answer is myself because the only one I want to dedicate myself to and spend my life with forever is my own true brilliant handsome self. Don't tell me what I can and can't say!

I. LOVE. IT.

I talk about the specifics of Ivo and Stone’s dynamic (which can be considered platonic or romantic) in my Sonic 3 review so I hope you’ll give it a read! But here are my personal thoughts/headcanons of it as a ship:

Robotnik and Stone's chemistry is through the roof! I think Ivo pushes Stone away because he's never experienced affection and doesn't recognize it -- he just interprets Stone sticking around as blind allegiance to his evil schemes. Meanwhile, I think maybe Ivo's genius is what appealed to Stone in the first place and why he signed up as a henchman, but he quickly developed feelings for the doctor and is more focused about the doctor being happy and helping him achieve his dreams than he is about world domination.

Sonic 3 spoilers below the cut:

Also, when Ivo chose to sacrifice himself to save the world, he specifically calls out Stone by name! He dedicates "his final livestream" to him, which I interpret as "I'm ending this for you." And he does it in front of the ENTIRE WORLD! That's love, baby!
