after spending the night with your girl friends, you return to your apartment complex to see you see your boyfriend, heeseung, waiting for you outside. he has finished preparing dinner for you and welcomes you, piggybacking you in.

"how was your day beautiful?" heeseung asks, buttoning up the wool coat you originally had on.

"it was great. my friends and i went to a jazz bar too," you reply.

"seeing how red your face is, i'm guessing you had a good time," he says, grabbing your hand to warm it up.

you nod, feeling a little drowsy from the drinks. you guys enter the large apartment complex.

"do you want to take off your shoes?" heeseung asks.

you nod with your eyes closed. he takes off your heels and motions for you to get on his back. you get on and wrap your arms around him, warming each other up.

"you smell good," you sleepily say, breathing in the scent from his neck .

"it's the cologne you picked for me last time," he says, pressing the button for the elevator. you smile, wrapping him closer.

you guys arrive at your apartment and he puts in the passcode- it's the date to the first day you guys met. he opens the door and rests you down on the living room couch.

"babe, wake up. i made dinner for you," he says, patting you on the leg to keep you awake. he leaves you on the couch to get the utensils out from the kitchen drawer. you try your best to stay awake, standing up from the couch to head to the restroom. you turn on the faucet and cleanse your face. you return back to the living room couch, feeling less tired now. heeseung is placing down the utensils on the table. he looks back at you, gesturing you to sit down next to him. you get up and he pulls out your chair, letting you sit first.

you take a bite of the food, nodding in approval.

"is it good?" he asks, having his head propped up on his hand, observing you eat.

"it's super good," you answer him.

after finishing your last bite, you still notice him looking at you.

"how come you didn't eat?" you ask.

"seeing you already makes me full," he says with his eyes twinkling, pushing back your front hair behind your ears.

"thank you for making me dinner," you say, repaying him by kissing him on the cheeks.

he suddenly takes you off your chair- he is holding you bridal style, taking you to your bedroom. you wrap your arms around his neck, allowing him to take you to your bed. he gently places you down, placing your back on the bed frame. heeseung sits next to you, looking at you face to face. heeseung takes the back of your hand and begins to peek kisses everywhere. you giggle and smile at his gentle love language. you begin to play with his hair with your other hand.

"do you want a massage?" he asks, looking up from your hand.

"yes please," you answer.

he moves down the bed and places your leg on top of his, kneading your skin.

"your feet must have hurt," he says, moving his hand to your feet, rubbing them.

"it was okay," you say, obviously lying. he just smiles at your response, continuing the massage.

"i don't know how'd i ever live without you," you say, appreciating him.

"guess we need to stick forever then," heeseung says.

"mhm," you agree.

heeseung slowly pulls out a ring box out of his pocket.

"will you accept my gift then?" he asks.

he opens the box, revealing a promise ring.

"even though this isn't an engagement ring, it's a promise ring that i'll marry you someday. i'll work harder for our future. will you be mine forever for that day?," he requests.

you nod, "of course, heeseung. i'm yours forever," you say, caressing his cheek.

he smiles with an assured face, pulling your hand from his cheek to put on your ring.

"it's a promise," heeseung says, grabbing you by the waist, giving you a delicate yet tender kiss on your lips.
