Hebe in Aries through houses another approach to where you can serve and contribute
(unraveling asteroids in astrology #6 Hebe) (meaning + in Aries)
The meanings of the asteroid Hebe involve service, youth, renewal, rejuvenation, and opportunities to try again.
That's why, from the perspective of New Age Astrology, a concept I build and nurture a lot here on the blog, I see the asteroid Hebe as situations where we have the opportunity to serve, the opportunity to try again, to rejuvenate ourselves at that point. It's where we can have the opportunity for renewal. It mainly represents the area and how we will bring renewal to others.
A person with Hebe in Libra in the 6th house, for example, will have a strong tendency to serve in an aesthetic, harmonious way, seeking perfection, integration, diplomacy, in the area of health, the physical body, routine, organization, and the mental and practical processes of the human experience. This person may also have a great tendency and opportunities to bring harmony to others in matters involving the 6th house.
Astronomical Data:
Discovery: Hebe was discovered on July 1, 1847, by Karl Ludwig Hencke.
Asteroid Number: 6 Hebe.
Orbit and duration in each zodiac sign:
The duration Hebe spends in each zodiac sign can vary due to its elliptical orbit. On average, Hebe spends about 1-2 months in each zodiac sign. However, these durations can fluctuate slightly based on its orbital speed at different points in its orbit.

"mother of the isles"
unintentional mother's day art featuring Hugo and Hebe on Hugo's 18th birthday; a special ceremony is often held on this day if the person wishes to recognize Hebe as their mother. the goddess doesn't wears her crown that day as a sign that she's not there is a deity but as a mother

tbh. not talked about enough that theres certain breeds and colour morphs and coat patterns of pokemon and stuff like. exclusive to certain places or families and stuff. like not just regional forms and stuff. you can just catch a wild rattata in alola and bring it somewhere else you cant do that aith most of these. like some are so protected and rare only a small amount of people are ALLOWED to own them. mostly older rich families and small towns with like special breeds or colours of pokemon and stuff and its like. ur never going to have one of these if ur not rich as fuck or friends with someone rich as fuck.
idk its kinda interesting to learn about shit like special meowstics that only belong to members of one family and whatnot.
#//btw when i refer to breeds i mean like. dog breeds#//its just different variation of one species that developed over time#//mixing two pokemon is NOT a breed or crossbreed its by definition a hybrid cause theyre different species#//like for example a variation of stoutland bred to have less messy fur and grow their mustaches quicker for shows is a breed#//a mix between a dachsbun and lycanroc would be a hybrid because theyre different species#maple moment#pkmn irl#pokeblogging#rotomblr#bites#//this some fun lore stuff please interact so i can explain more hebe

Yahra and Hebe rot off twitter:
They are sisters ^^ Yahra (lighter hair) and Hebe (darker hair) Yahra is 11-12 years old and Hebe is 21-22 years old.
Hebe has germaphobia, but became a farmer to provide for Yahra after their parents died. She’s strict about Yahra, but she basically did everything FOR her. Hebe became an apprentice to their great grandmother, this granny.
In her youth she had bright red hair like them too!!
While she was an apprentice she had food and shelter for both her and her sister…
Hebe is really cool to me tho. Despite being a bit stuck in her ways. In fact her being stubborn is how she became a well-known farmer in Armoroad despite being like 22. She loathed being a farmer at first. But she stuck to it for Yahra and found a passion in the field once she started coming up with more sanitary and effective farming methods. Something she never would have found had she given up.
Anyway, Hebe has never bought herself a good thing ever. All her funds go to work or Yahra. Also Yahra thinks Hebe hates her since she’s so controlling but absent. Often Yahra wishes she had a big kind older sister like Alope. Whom… Hebe despises! Common sister woes
#ragna ramblings#brainrot#EOC: Yahra#EOC: Hebe#ragna thumbnails#Shout out to the one person who asks questions about these two?? I don’t remember talking about them a whole lot… But they mean a lot!#When I first saw the asks I thought that they’d meant Hana instead of Hebe… but they sent another I gotta draw an answer to

to all those new comers to the Percy Jackson world and being off on shipping Percabeth because Poseidon and Athena are uncle and niece, it’s stated in the books (specifically The Lost Hero) that gods don’t have DNA the way humans do.
and if that still doesn’t convince you or you may think it’s not a real or valuable explanation, let’s recall other ways that births happen in both greek myths and the Riordanverse:
- Zeus birthed Athena from his brain
- Athena’s demigod children are born the same way. out of her mind. so Annabeth is already way off from the usual goddess birth route
- Zeus also birthed Dionysus from his thigh
- Hephaestus was born from Hera and Zeus, but in a lot of versions its actually Hera who just had him by herself. she got pregnant and it happened. they’re gods. (then chucked him down a mountain) again, they’re gods.
- Hebe, goddess of youth, was born from Hera and a piece lettuce she ate
- in the Trials of Apollo, we learn that Kayla Knowles, daughter of Apollo, has a human father, Darren. meaning she has two fathers: Darren and Apollo. no mother involved in her creation whatsoever.
- Zeus has impregnated quite a large number of people during his time and in various different forms. one of the weirdest ones by far was when he came to a queen in the form of a swan, embraced her as that swan and nine months later she gave birth to two eggs. they hatched and inside was Helen of Sparta (as in Helen of Troy), Clytemnestra, Castur and Pollox.
- Poseidon and Medusa had a child and that child was born from Perseus cutting off Medusa’s head. that child was Pegasus. (yes, that Pegasus) (also some other dude was born too)
- Aphrodite was born out of sea foam made from the severed genitals of Ouranos that fell to the oceans
have i convinced you already? are we done here?
#like seriously do you know how weird greek myth births are?#how can anyone see twins hatch from eggs and think ‘huh DNA? lets find out’ like no#there is no DNA#apollo becomes a hummingbird for days on end and probably has children in dofferent forms of animals too#he can become pure light#and you wann boil it down to DNA#booo tomato tomato#percy jackson#percy jackon and the olympians#percy series#pjo#annabeth chase#percabeth#trials of apollo

(Before I say anything this isn’t meant to be hate this is just my thoughts)
I think the reasoning on why people are thinking you are romanticizing Ganymede and Zeus’s story is because you’re making it look like instead of making Ganymede scared of Zeus, it looks like Ganymede is proud to have been kidnapped by Zeus and that he wears a badge of being SA by Zeus. For example, in one of your drawings you said how Ganymede would react to one of Zeus's kids wanting to fight him to where Ganymede said that he had sex with their father, Zeus, making it sound like he was proud and not that affected by Zeus’s actions.
(Again, this is not hate; I'm just explaining what might have caused people to think you're romanticizing Zeus's and Ganymede's relationship.)
No worries, I actually sometimes dont understand when someone is being hateful, so I would read it as just normal.
SO! Again, dosent matter how Ganymede is portrayed, people will think it shouldnt even exist any discussion of him (like, there was an artist that literaly make Zeus as a vile abuser of Ganymede and Hebe was consoling him - EVEN THIS SITUATION THAT SHOW EXPLICIT HOW BROKEN GANYMEDE WAS, PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED AS ROMANTIZATION ;w;). So just dont try to look for a reason, there are a lot and none depending sole on who is interpreting my drawings.
This specifc drawing you mentioned, I did way after this recent wave of hate and was just a joke. This case dosent have so much meaning behind the joke, but like, you can have your interpretation as him coping, or he feel for Zeus, or he just want to mess with other gods as he is the only 'mortal' and use Zeus as a shield so he can just be lying... LET YOUR IMAGINATION FLY.
Look... my very firsts drawings and tiktok of Ganimedes was him mad... He literaly mad cry... Even before any nsfw I have done or more nuansed art... and yet people also thougth as romantization... So really, dosent matter what I do, to some people just because of my style or because Zeus is hot its equal to be ok with anything he does (as if abusers cant be attractive... its good those people never meet someone like this, but still makes me worry about them). Ah! There re two expections: some eagle interactions re sweet because its before any harm; and Ganimedes smiling one time on a tiktok video (I though people would be intriged and make questions, but nope, they stick to Ganimedes liking being abused I guess - welp the fetish exists, but I know they mean as me saying 'abuse is ok because he liked it').
I dont know where people think that just because Ganimedes its not suffering in every single second means he is ok to all harm and struggle he will pass... I want to make him suffer as an OC, but like, let him have happy moments... and this also means happy moments with Zeus... and all of this dont erase any bad things... this binary way to see stories its just so not my thing -w-
Oh! and its not because you have intimacy with someone you also love them (like, rage f*cking is a thing and I want to explore it, maybe outside the comic, idk yet u.u). I also have some cannibalism drawings Gani x Zeus, cause imagine eating a god!! So exciting!
OK now for real, I will not answer anymore romantization discustion for some time. I'm tired of this, I will do my things and hope people have patience before stating something that its still in progress. Aske me about it in two months maybe...

oc's dancing pt. 1 — let's see how far I get through this dbdkxk

I hadn't been able to dance for a while, getting these sketched out (and colored) helped me channel some of the energy I get from the songs

Well, we know he doesn't feel more comfy at that age bc he hates being 16 as Lester. He finds Artemis' penchant for looking no older than 12 at all times uttely baffling (and I do think it's worth noting the difference btwn Artemis choosing to look like a small child vs Apollo choosing to look 17-19, that is to say the oldest possible version of "kid" he can get away with). When he loses his concentration at the end of TON his default form is that of an adult, someone who could easily be mistaken for Tristan McLean's lover.
My guess is that he does the deaging thing partly to feel less intimidating to the children he interacts with, and partly as a show of submission to his father (who in fact did choose to put Apollo in his place, so to speak, by shoving him into an adolescent body). A way to signal: don't worry, I'm no threat, still your lesser, always under your thumb.
I think Artemis also does it for similar reasons. Putting her young hunters more at ease, yes, but also a promise to her father that she'll always be Daddy's golden girl.
It may not be an entirely conscious & calculated choice on their part, especially not on Artemis's, but to me it makes a lot of sense considering their family situation. It's also a very apt visual representation of the condition of adult abused children who for a number of reasons aren't able to cut the abusive parent out of their lives. Grown in the eyes of the world but never in their home, never in the eyes of their abuser. in this light I also think it's very significant that the last scene of the twins together in TON sees them both looking young adult-ish, or at least that's what seems to be implied when Artemis casually places a kiss on her brother's cheek.
the twins are the two olympian gods that usually choose to look like kids, or so we’re told in the books.
the thing is, there’s no way apollo actually appears as a 17 year old on a daily basis. when he goes off in the mortal world, he travels, takes lovers, works in the music industry, leaves children left and right. he’s supposed to be an adult. my guess is that he looks like a twenty-something: still young, but grown.
it’s very interesting then that, when meeting demigods, he’s always described as looking so young. percy says he felt stupid calling a teenager “sir”, jason says apollo was unsettling because he could have passed as a camper no problem. when apollo meets halfbloods, he “lowers” to their level. chooses to become a peer. i wonder if it’s a subtle manipulation tactic á la “i’m just like you!” (he’s not above that) or if he legitimately feels more comfortable at that age. much to think about
#i have in fact thought on this a lot can u tell#been meaning to write a meta but kept procrastinating so ty for giving me the perf springboard hope u don't mind#toa#rrverse#there's also hebe and ganymede for whom a similar argument could be made#and then there's hestia. she in particular might have other reasons instead. more of the manipulative variety#i'm gonna ignore calypso's entire mess bc we know the unfortunate extra universe reason why she looks 15#and in universe it's never gonna make sense

Headcannons about Apollo pt.1
PSA: This is mythology Apollo stuff but most of this applies to Percy Jackson Apollo as well.
Apollo loves no sibling more than Artemis, but he is closer to Athena. They bonded over being the favourite siblings, gods of knowledge/wisdom and the fact Athena was somewhat in charge of teaching/raising him when he first came to Olympus.
Apollo is the only other god besides Zeus to have the epithet ‘Moiragetes’ meaning ‘Leader of the Fates’. There are also only two moments of fate being averted in the entire mythos – once when Zeus swallows Metis and then again when Apollo tricks/convinces the Fates to extend Admetus’s lifespan. I imagine this means they are both capable of altering fate, it is just usually not worth the trouble.
Adding on to the previous hc, I also imagine Apollo has pure white eyes. As in, no pupils or irises. This is a trait I imagine the Fates share as well. Zeus would as well if he had gift of prophecy, but he doesn’t.
Apollo has the epithet ‘Lycegenes’ meaning ‘born of wolf’ or ‘born of Lycia’. Both work since his mother spent some time in a form of a wolf while pregnant in some versions and she is also a prominent goddess in Lycia. Lycia is in modern day Turkey, so I imagine Leto, Apollo and Artemis have some Turkish features. Specifically, they all have an aquiline nose (though you also see that in Greece), darker skin and (in the PJ universe aka the modern day) all three occasionally wear head scarfs. Not hijabs obviously since those are religious, but sheer fabric with a bunch of different designs relating to their sacred symbols wrapped around their head and hair.
Apollo was less of an older brother and more of a parent to Hermes, Dionysus and even Hebe when they were young. It was only once they were much older that Apollo started treating than more like siblings but will occasionally fall back into old habits.
Hera and Apollo have a better relationship than expected. They, along with Athena, mostly bonded over their shared woes of dealing with Zeus (who is not as bad as PJ Zeus but is still, you know, a king. And kings are rarely great.)
Apollo is the most all-knowing of the non-primordial gods. He has the domains of truth, prophecy and knowledge and, once he gains the sun in roman times, can also see anything that happens during the day. This makes him stupidly well informed. Even his cousin Hecate, Aunt Asteria, Grandmother Phoebe and Grandfather Koios are not as well informed since they only have the domain of prophecy and, even then, only have a specific kind while Apollo, seemingly, has access to every kind of prophecy.
Apollo (and Artemis) are Gods of Youth and, in Apollo’s case, he even has an epithet explicitly denoting him as an eternal child: ‘Acersecomes’ meaning one with unshorn hair. Boys in ancient Greece grew out their hair and generally cut and dedicated their hair to Apollo after reaching adulthood. As a result, Apollo not only has long curly golden hair, but is also unable to age any older than 15 since 16 was the age of adulthood back then. I imagine this would be the same for Artemis as well. (If we are including the PJ universe here, then they would be able to age up to 17).

Debunking some misinformation about Hephaestus and Aphrodite’s Marriage
I’m so sick and tired so I’m making a thread, enjoy. I’ll break it down into several points.
1. Hephaestus demanded Aphrodite’s hand in marriage in exchange for Hera’s freedom and Aphrodite was forced into the marriage
You’d be surprised by how this isn’t even attested in ancient sources, rather it’s just a theory made by modern scholars bc of how spotty and limited our knowledge about this marriage is, let’s look at the actual sources:
Notice how Aphrodite isn’t even mentioned mentioned as the “prize”? Hephaestus does ask for a goddess in exchange for freeing Hera, but it’s not Aphrodite, it’s Athena. The usual course of events is this:
Hephaestus is angry at Hera for her mistreatment and sends a golden throne that traps her
The other gods try to persuade him to free her but he refuses
Dionysus convinces him by getting him drunk
Again the theory that Aphrodite was the prize for whoever gets Hephaestus to Olympus is just that, a theory. Not a really good one either bc wouldn’t Aphrodite be married to Dionysus instead? It’s a really shallow portrayal of all figures involved tbh, why would Ares only be interested in freeing his mother if it meant he gets to marry Aphrodite? Why would anyone on Olympus not be worried about their queen being chained up? Believe it or not but Hera isn’t as disliked as one would think lol
Now even if Aphrodite wasn’t a prize how did she end up marrying Hephaestus? And was she forced into doing it? No actually (Lucian’s Dialogue of the gods):
That’s not to say this wasn’t an arranged marriage (it most likely was) but arranged marriage and forced marriage are not the same thing. If you think this is a forced marriage then what about Cadmus and Harmonia? Heracles and Hebe? Both these marriages were arranged by Zeus but no one would claim they’re forced marriages.
2. Aphrodite hated Hephaestus
Now this is more open to interpretation, after all love is subjective, but to say they outright hated each other would be incorrect, there is this myth that Aphrodite cursed Lemnos to have the men abandon their wives and female family members, usually bc they neglected on worshipping her (tho a late Latin source says it’s revenge for exposing her affair).
Apollonius of Rhodes' Argonautica:
However this bit seems to be rather… genuine? Almost as if she might have truly felt bad for what she did and wanted to reconcile, sounds like someone with a deeply messy and complicated relationship with their partner, but not outright hate.
Also there is this moment in Lucian’s Dialogue of the Gods which is pretty funny:
3. Hephaestus only saw Aphrodite as property
Ok I don’t like using the “it was a different time” card but like… it really does apply here lol
Now we’ve already established that Aphrodite was never a prize for Hephaestus to begin with so what about the betrothal gifts he gave to Zeus? Obviously that means he was buying Aphrodite right?
Well, no actually this is a normal part of Ancient Greek marriage (obviously it varied between cities and time periods but it usually goes something like this), the father of the bride and the groom exchange gifts with each other to establish a bond between the two, the bride herself wasn’t the “gift” Zeus’s gift to Hephaestus was most likely his place on Olympus.
To say that Hephaestus bought Aphrodite would mean that Odysseus bought Penelope, or Hector bought Andromache, both are ludicrous claims.
4. Hephaestus is an incel and Ares is this big feminist icon
No, just… no.
Ares was never considered “the protector of women” in Ancient Greece that’s tumblr fanfiction and plenty of other ppl have made posts debunking this (including me) so I won’t repeat that here. Now about Hephaestus being an “incel” all the male Olympians have at least one story where they harm an innocent/defenseless woman, all of them, yes including Ares who persecuted Leto while she was heavily pregnant by Hera’s orders.
5. Aphrodite cheated to “regain her sexuality”
No Patrick, cheating on your disabled spouse with his brother in the bed and palace he made for you is not a girlboss move it’s being an asshole (all the gods are flawed, how thought provoking). Hell, even Zeus wouldn’t pull shit like this with Hera.
Aphrodite and Ares most likely did this hoping it would be the last place anyone would suspect an affair, since Aphrodite could’ve had sex with Ares in his own place or some meadow somewhere but that might cause ppl to be too suspicious.
6. Ares is a big dumb brute who can’t take a hint and only saw Aphrodite for her beauty
Believe it or not, just bc I criticize Aphrodite and Ares doesn’t mean I hate them lol. Now look, all the gods care deeply about looks but that’s not the only thing that Ares and Aphrodite love about each other. Here is Ares being a total simp and actually listening to her:
Iliad book 5
Thebaid book 3
7. Aphrodite felt neglected by Hephaestus bc he’s too busy at the forge
No lol, she straight up works with him at the forge, why wouldn’t she? If anything this claim makes Aphrodite even more shallow than she actually is.
8. Aphrodite and Ares didn’t care about being humiliated in the golden net and Ares straight up brags about cucking his brother
Yes I’ve heard such claims and no Ares and Aphrodite are actually capable of feeling shame lol, almost as if they were in the wrong. Also why would Ares actively antagonize the guy who makes all his stuff? Maybe that’s why Athena keeps beating his ass, bc Hephaestus purposely gives Ares shitty weapons and armor lol
Anyways umm… I think that’s it? Maybe I missed a few things bc I’m frustrated af rn
Just so y’all know, I’m not a scholar I’m just autistic and read a lot lol. I hope I didn’t miss something or get anything wrong.
Have a good day (or night).
