March Marvelous Fictions

My Heart Was Always Yours by @addledmongoose

It's a slightly alternative universe where Aziraphale and Crowley have somehow never met each other until the present day and each thinks the other is a human.

Each of them has been tasked by their respective head offices to retrieve Raphael's trumpet and each of them wants to find and destroy it. The trumpet will be sold on earth at an illegal auction and in order to gain entry to the auction they have to pretend to be married.

This fiction has it all: characters' personalities are spot on, humour, wit, dynamic, romance, everything!

At the beginning you might feel slightly put off by the first person narrative but give it a couple of chapters and it will flow.

You won't regret it!

You will have to read it to know the rest but this was such a lovely story, very low angst and a happy ending. Lovely, lovely, lovely short fiction where Aziraphale and Crowley are finally free from heaven and hell but are still... well, Aziraphale and Crowley! So, it's not like they've talked about their feeling for each other. Until someone else expresses interest in Aziraphale and Crowley loses it! Funny and heartwarming!

Human AU where Crowley is an unemployed florist whose name is very similar to the incredibly famous and successful retired wedding planner Antonio Cowley. Anathema and Newton are planning their marriage and Aziraphale is the maid of honour. Oh, and gabriel is the priest celebrating the wedding. I loved the humour in this fiction and the way it captures the characters' personalities. Absolutely delightful.

This wonderful, funny, witty fiction had me hooked up from the first sentence! Aziraphale has a new neighbour and things don't run smoothly. Hilarious enemies-to-lovers human AU with some of the best hot scenes I've ever read. Seriously, go and read it!

My wee fiction, Second Chances And Second Choices

Not half as good as any of the others I'm recommending (Or the ones I've left out) but it's my baby, so... Kind of season 3 fiction, post (failed) second coming. Aziraphale is hoping this is the beginning of his life with Crowley but Crowley seems to be of a different opinion. Until old enemies turn up at Aziraphale's door. Low angst, happy ending. I wish it had better humour, I wish some bits didn't feel as much of a stretch as they do but fair enough.

What's So Merry About Christmas? People, People everywhere

Christmas is mean to be a supernatural season and not a superficial season.

Luke 2:13-14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

We seem to constantly be surrounded by people everywhere.

People. People are what makes Christmas merry. Chirst came to earth because of the people on earth. Peace and goodwill will mean nothing if there are no people to experience it. Christmas is about people. Not to be taken that Christmas revolves around people but that it is the reason Christ came down to us.

1) Live in Community. Genesis 2:18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Something went wrong. Something called sin. This is where communities and relationships started to break down.

When Jesus came to earth, He formed a community of 12 disciples. And one of the key things that He taught them:

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

This is how the world will know that we are His children. Jesus also taught about murder.

Matthew 5:21-24 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘ Raca ,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell. “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Jesus set the highest standard. If you are about to worship God, and you remember that there is a broken relationship in your life, then reconcile before going to worship.

If we desire to live in a community then we must know what it means to be a peace makers.

As Jesus imparted and taught the people, the people realised why Jesus came to earth.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

When God looked at mankind, He knew that it was not good for us to be alone. This is why He created us in a community.

2) Love in Unity.

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

After Jesus went back to heaven, that was when His disciples knew what it meant to love one another.

Acts 2:42-47 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

Luke 9:46 An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.

Mark 14:50 Then everyone deserted him and fled.

There was selfishness. There was disunity. But we know that there was a change. And it came from the cross of Calvary. The divine love changed them, and that's why there is unity afterwards.

Colossians 3:11-15 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Without love, there will never be unity. This is why Jesus gave us our greatest commandment that is to love one another as He has loved us.

"I do verily believe that when God shall accomplish unity. It will be the effect of love and not the cause of love. It will proceed from love before it brings forth love."

Why do people get married? The current average span of marriage is ten years. The main reason that they are divorced are "unreasonable behaviour of the other partner".

Love is not just a feeling. We live in a world that has a lack of love. This christmas, the most important thing is love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

But if we don't have love, then it is nothing. We can have everything, a perfect family, a perfect community, a perfect job and a perfect life; but if we do not have love then we have nothing.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

If we have a spirit of love in us then we have the spirit of God in us. We need to love one another. Sometimes we don't love the people around us, the people that are close to us.

Sometimes the more we live in a community, we will experience more friction. But this is why we need a supernatural love.

We need to learn what it means to live in a community and to love in unity. But very often we cannot do it by our own, that is why we need to love like Jesus has loved us.

Often when we try to love with our own earthly ability, it doesn't work out. This is why we need the supernatural love of God.

You are not alone. You are not abandoned. Because God is with you.

Loneliness is a common experience. It is a spiritual issue. Loneliness is also the presence of pain, the pain of seperation from God and people. It is not solved by physical or emotional things, but it will never work. Because afterall, it is a spiritual pain.

The most common regret is that there should have been more time with their loved ones.

When men fell into sin, it became a barrier between us and God. That is why Jesus died -- to remove that barrier. Because Adam chose to sin, loneliness began there in Eden and we are the children of Eden, with sin causing this pain. But Jesus carried the weight of the world all by himself, at the Garden of Gethsemane, and at the cross where he said "Father, why have you forsaken me". And He did this so that we will no longer be lonely.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

    At every job, we have warnings or some sort of point system. If we are late for work, we get a point taken off or a verbal warning, another point removed, or written up if we do something else, and so forth until we are out of points or write-ups, then we are fired. Any company can at any time fire us; some companies can, and others can't; it just depends on the state we live in and company we work for . Still, some companies can fire us immediately when we are late or do something wrong, but they allow us to get it right by giving us write-ups or simply taking points off .      

   Companies know we have emergencies or situations, so they try to give some wiggle room for error, but what happens when we overuse that kindness? Or should We continue to push the button; should that company keep working with someone who doesn’t care about showing up or should they fire them instead because they are overusing the point system. We even have some super visors that will give and give more opportunities than they should to individuals that doesn’t see they have someone fighting for them in their corner .

 This is precisely what God does; God forgives us even when we don’t deserve it,

He forgives us even when we don’t have a contrite heart, he forgives us even when we are at our worst behavior and do the worst sins. He is still there to say, you’re forgiven; no, we take every opportunity to do what we like; my mom used to say, give someone an inch, they take a yard, and that’s how some people are with God. They continue to take and take until they can’t take anymore.

 This is what Paul is saying about how tolerates God is with us and how patient, kind, and loving he is . Does it mean nothing to us that God gives us life every day to try again, and do we see the kindness he has given us to change and to be molded? But often, we take that kindness, and we take his patience, and we take and take and never change because some of us think he should be God giving and suppling for us, and he shouldn’t expect anything in return.

We think he should make the world better without the people in it changing, but God gives us grace and mercy every day, and we, as his people, should change.Many people quickly say there can't be a God, or if it was a God why would he do this, Exodus 34:6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.”

  God is slow to anger; this is said many times, in the word of God, his love for us is why some of us don’t suffer the way we should, and it is hard to say but this is the truth we deserve to go to hell, we deserve not even to see heaven. Still, because Jesus died for sins, he gave his life for us because God loves us so much. After all, he’s faithful even when we’re not; he desires us to get it right. So, he waits and gives us day after day to change who we are.

    Verse 5: But because of your hard and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

     First, what does impenitent mean? It means feeling regret about one's sin or sins. This verse tells us that because of our hard  and impenitent hearts, we are storing up wrath, for the day of wrath, people don’t think of this day, people think they have time to change, but friends, we don’t, we must change, now this is the time to turn away and choose this day who will we serve , will we serve the temporary things of this world or will we serve God, will we allow our ways and desires and the things we want & feel to take away eternity for us or will we change.

  Revelations 3:15-16 I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

   The enemy knows what to do to get us to turn away from God, by our selfish desires, by our pride; the enemy knows that if he can get us to be lukewarm and to place a delusion in our head so we may think that it’s okay to do whatever we want and make that we can still enter heaven. We can’t, or he tells us it’s okay to depend on drugs and liquor, and that we don’t need Jesus, and that we will still make it into heaven, but friends, we won’t; this is a big delusion that a lot of us believe in, and it’s wrong. We won’t make it to heaven believing in this strong delusion sweeping this generation.

  ***Today, it’s a lot of believers who believe or buy into this delusion that I can live any matter way, and God has to give me grace, or he have to be patient with me while I figure things out; no, my friends God can figure out our life with us if we sit and pray, God can figure out our life with us if we gave him opportunity! God can help us walk on the narrow road, but if we follow the world and overuse our grace, we will think it’s okay to run our lives the way we want.

  Opportunities are given to us every day to change and to let go, but some of us go to bed the same attitude and mindset and wake up the same attitude and mindset because we feel no need to change, but the Bible tells us.

• John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

• John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

We will not be welcomed into heaven until we are born again, and until we come to Jesus, we can try to get to heaven by our works, but we won’t see heaven until we start taking the opportunity he’s given us every day and turn from our sins!   ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

It's a Jesus Weekend, and in my role as the ‘Almighty Gob’ I preach comments in typical form from the pulpit of satire. Amen.

Does anyone know what was actually good about Friday? Severe hailstones, perhaps? Our NHS still in dire straits, people continuing to use food banks, and migration sorted?

Never mind, it's all good on Good Friday because Jesus died for us, apparently, and this alone makes all the hardship and misery we now face in the world worthwhile. Knowing what we all know now it should come as no great surprise he was nailed to a cross at that time for what would become arguably some of the greatest crimes against humanity by humanity.

As someone who was brought up as a Roman Catholic, you may well be surprised to read such a bold statement from me. No doubt there will be those who deem me as blasphemous, even a heretic committing the most egregious of cardinal sins, and for this, I should be cast into the fires of hell forever.

To this very day, I still struggle to get my head around the fact that some people in the world choose to believe what's probably one of the best human-control fairy stories ever written. Let alone places called heaven and hell.

Anyway, here we are. It's Easter weekend and I'm stuck on a crossword clue. 2 across - Q. Where was Jesus nailed? This might take a while as it's several years since I last attended church and nearly all memories of religion have since faded. I may well have to put it down to another of the remaining unanswered anomalies. Such as how an ethereal being managed to have a son in real life; so the story goes, through a virgin woman. As stated (among a great many other things) in my book 'The Sexual Philanthropist' such an event nowadays would be a complete sellout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Better still, it would take one heck of an illusionist to put on a show where he was nailed to a cross, died, and then emerged within a few days full of life and firing on all cylinders as if nothing happened. Pretty damn impressive even by Netflix programme audience popularity. Beat that, Harry and Meghan.

So, what's changed since the Romans vacated Jesus’ territory back in the day? Not a lot really, as two-thousand years or so later quite a few issues related to religion lead the way where conflict is concerned. Such as the location of holy sites and acrimonious divorce-worthy narratives which totally screw the potential for any peace between Islam and Judaism. On one side of the religious divorce battle, extreme Zionists make protestations regarding how the Jewish state should be, while their Islamist co-respondents have their own version of liberating all that's holy to the Zionists, and preach hatred and violence as a means of winning the divorce battle by use of terrorism - and for which they are now proscribed as a terrorist organisation.

All of which brings me on to a growing bunch of airheads who deserve to have their colons cleansed using bleach and wire wool, as it's entirely pointless going any further up their bodies to their heads because compared to the more sane and rational of people in the world, these airheads have spaces in their brains that any alleged signs of previous rationality and commonsense appear to have vacated long ago - if ever there in the first place.

These are the pro-Palestine gormless idiots who espouse the boycott of Israeli goods and services and make two short planks look like the most sophisticated computer technology in the world while using their Apple and Android phones to touch base with other idiots of the same ilk and do their best to influence more normal people into not buying Israeli goods and services, they do so completely oblivious to the fact that the phones they are using include technology developed by Israeli companies. Will these pillocks give up their phones in protest though? Somehow I think not. Oh, and don't use Windows apps either folks. Guess why?

Any chance these lunatics may have a firewall installed on their computers? Take a guess at this too. If your mental capacity has provided you with the means to follow so far and you are not a boycott numpty, it shouldn't take long.

I bet many of them also drive cars, provided they could afford one in the first place. Well, it's more bad news, I'm afraid. It looks like webuyanycar.com and auction sites will be busy in future when the idiots put their cars up for sale because the navigation system was more than likely based on Israeli tech. Oh, and speaking of transport, I wonder how many will cancel their holiday flights abroad this year, since our airport security systems are packed with Israeli technology.

And before I forget. Should any of them, their relatives and friends have cancer they may as well go home, take shit loads of morphine and die in bed. Why? Because it's more than likely cancer treatments offered by the NHS will have been invented in Israel. Equally, anyone who has a stent implanted should get it removed with immediate effect as a boycott protest against Israel, which, by a strange coincidence also invented it.

Ever heard of a 'SniffPhone'? Probably not, but it's a piece of medical equipment that can actually 'sniff out' diseases. It works like a breathalyser and detects cancer of the gastric and lung varieties, as well as Parkinsons, dementia, MS and many other illnesses. What about the 'Pillcam', heard of this? Who'd have guessed it was an Israeli invention in the shape of a minicam that takes photos of the intestinal tract?

Still, as long as the boycott idiots remain all self-satisfied and happily virtue-signalling in blissful ignorance, why should they let facts get in the way of personal feelings and emotional incontinence, huh? Anyway, whatever else these lunatics do, they should not take my sardonic and non-medically trained advice. While remembering at all times that any such attempt at shortening their lives should not be conducted without first seeking the advice of a medically qualified practitioner, and preferably one outside the jurisdiction of Geneva.

With all that said, I now find myself back where I began, whenever that was two thousand or so years ago, and what was good about Friday, again?

Waging War

Hey everyone! I'm back! Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile! It's been a crazy ride the last few weeks. I was sick for awhile. Just now getting my energy back. How has everyone been? I don't know about you, but I feel like the world is going crazy. Every time you turn on the news, something is happening. School shootings, natural disasters, etc. Even churches are turning away from God. One thing really blew my mind. I don't know if you heard, but Disney is now letting men dress up as Disney Princesses at Disney World. Wait, what? Yeah, I was confused too. To be honest, it made me mad. Why would you have a guy dress up as a princess where children are at? It's not even transgenders. They're actual men. That's just taking it too far. What's going to be next? I'm not going to lie, I've been thinking about giving up Disney since I found out about this. At least the movies from 2010 until now. I know people will say I'm overreacting, but am I though? You might say they're just expressing themselves or whatnot, but I think there's a deeper issue here. We have an enemy and he wants to do everything he can to confuse us and turn us away from God. He doesn't want us to have anything to do with God and go against His law. Don't you think he's doing that now? One of the biggest companies in the world is now letting men be princesses. You don't think that's going to confuse children? They're going to think that's ok when it's really not. In fact the whole world is getting confused and going against The Word. Right now, people are celebrating Pride month for the LGBTQ+ community. A whole month about celebrating sin. I know I'll probably get a lot of backlash for this, but God says it is. You can read it in Romans 1:24-32 and  Leviticus 18:22. Those are just a couple verses right there in black and white. Yes, I know we have free will and people will say they can't help it, but it still doesn't make it right. I don't want to get too deep into that today though. My point is that people are making it seem that it's ok. Not just with LGBTQ+ and men dressing up as Princesses, but in other areas too. I just found out that there's this new video game called Diablo 4 where you can kill demons. The subtitle or whatever it's called says "Welcome To Hell." Yeah, no way that game is coming into my house. People are now promoting demons and making it seem like it's no big deal. The spirit world is real though and we're not supposed to have anything to do with it or demons. Why are we thinking it's ok then? Well, the enemy is trying to plant a seed and tell us it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, many people are listening. Even Christians are starting to conform to this "new norm."  As believers in Christ though, we're not supposed to conform to this world and fit in. We're supposed to stand for what's true, good and God's Will. You can read it in Romans 12:2. I believe it's time for Christians to take a stand and let people know this is not ok. I remember this quote from the movie God's Not Dead 2 that says, "I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world, than stand with the world and be judged by God." That should be our motto. We should want to stand with God because He loves us and knows what's best for us. Don't be afraid to speak up. Will you be mocked or ridiculed or whatever? Most likely, yes. Trust me though, it'll be worth it. You might have hardships down here, but if you continue to stand with God and keep your faith, you will have great reward in Heaven. Read Matthew 5:10-12. The Gospel is clear on what's right and wrong. It's our job as believers to spread The Gospel and stand up for what's true and right, even if you'll get laughed at or whatever.

We're in a war right now. Not against flesh, but of forces of darkness. We need to step up right now more than ever. Satan is working overtime right now. Which, brings me to another thought. Why is he working so hard right now to cause destruction and turmoil and confusion? It's because he knows his time is coming to an end. He knows the end of the story, which is not a happy ending for the loser. It is a happy ending for us, believers in Christ, though. The Bible says Jesus will come back as King and set everything right, throw satan into the deepest part of Hell where he will never get out and God will dwell with His children forevermore. If you ask me, satan is just a scaredy cat sissy. LOL I believe Jesus is coming back real soon. Of course no one knows the exact time. Only God knows. It says so in Mark 13:32. With everything happening in the world though, it looks like we're closer now than ever. That's why we have to get ready. Put your faith in Jesus, turn away from your sins and own desires and don't conform with the world. Don't keep thinking you have time to get closer to God. Jesus can come back any day and it will unfortunately be too late for some people. Now is the time to get right with God and stand with Him no matter what. One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I choose to do that now though. We need to put on the full Armor of God every day and stop letting satan try to blind us. Pray fervently and keep watch. We know who wins at the end of this battle. Well, I'm out for now friends. I am not close to understanding, I do understand. You want unquestionable faith that your god is real and you speak for him through the bible, and anyone who tries to ask you questions about this god's motivations, ultimate goals, or even where he came from are told they are too puny and stupid to understand. You can justify even the most abhorrent and illogical treatment of others because it's in the divine and, most importantly, ineffable plan and we can't possibly understand it.

For example, your argument is that anybody who opens their heart to Jesus and asks for forgiveness will be granted it and invited into the kingdom of heaven. This kingdom which is presumably the alternative to the hell waiting down below for all the non-believers and there is no middle option like the inventive Catholics espouse. That's a pretty low bar for entry, don't you think? It's well known that Hitler believed he was serving god's interests (certainly killing Jews has been a favourite pass-time of pious Christians so he'll be in good company), and almost every serial killer or rapists or heinous criminal on death row has had the opportunity to see a chaplain prior to their execution and repent. They will all go to heaven. But, unfortunately, because pious Jews or peaceful Muslims, or atheists who have done great works and lived, by all accounts, a virtuous life will be subject to the torments of hell because... why, exactly? And we come back to your answer that we are too stupid to understand it, but it is just since god says so. Why isn't it that those who try their best to live like good people go to heaven and those that don't go to hell? Why is simply 'believing' someone died for our sins enough to get us a ticket to the best seat in the house?

God, I'm sure you will agree, is asking for a lot on blind faith. We have to ignore reason and logic (not to mention overwhelming scientific evidence in biology, geology, chemistry, astronomy, physics, and basically every major discipline that contradicts the bible on topics from the origin of life to the age of the universe and the earth), and believe with no proof that everything the bible says is true (including the earth was created in 7 days, woman was created from man's rib, that a man turned water into wine, and brought himself, and others, back from the dead, among other things - all of which if you told me happened today I'd very helpfully drive you to the nearest mental hospital). And on top of all that, we have to believe it without knowing the reason why any of this craziness is happening?

What supporting documents are you referring to? As far as I'm aware there is no record in the Roman Empire, at all, of a Jesus of Nazareth despite apparently having been tried by Pontius Pilate and Rome presumably kept records about those sorts of things. Other features of Jesus' life also fail to measure up to historical scrutiny, including the idea of a national census that led Joseph and Mary back to Bethlehem (censuses were conducted but never on that scale and never forcing individuals back to their great-great-great x10 grandfather's birth city). Or any reports of a 'star' moving across the sky to guide 'wise men' to a manger, or any record at all of the birth occurring or a mass culling of infant boys after it occurred. And it's hard to imagine that there are historical 'records' of resurrection, and lots of people believing something is not any kind of evidence. A not insignificant number of Americans believe that you can tell the future by gazing at tea leaves at the bottom of a cup, and presumably tell their friends all about their insights, that doesn't mean it's true.

Also, not for nothing, but the gospels are far from 'reliable' sources on Jesus and his life. The gospels were written by wealthy Greek converts (as obvious a biblical scholar as you are I'm sure you know Jesus spoke Aramaic and could very probably not read or write, as could most of his original disciples) 30 to 80 years after Jesus' death. At best they are the culmination of a complicated game of telephone that crossed continents, not to mention it's had thousands of years to be edited, changed and completely invented by scribes and church leaders (apparently they don't consider that to be a sin, go figure). (I encourage a reading of Jesus, Interrupted and Misquoting Jesus by Bart D. Ehrman, two excellent summaries of critical bible study and his speciality of new testament studies that goes into so much more detail than what I say here.)

Why does God allow evil to exist?

Because the evil isn’t just “bad people” among us. The evil is in our own sinful hearts. To get rid of evil, He would have to get rid of us too.

In our Baptism, in Confession and Absolution, in hearing the Gospel, and in Holy Communion, we receive the forgiveness of our sins won for us by Christ on the cross. But while we live here on earth, we still live with our sinfulness - though we are no longer slaves to it (Romans 6).

When Christ returns on the Last Day, then we can finally be resurrected in our glorified, perfected bodies and live with Him without sin and all its consequences. That will happen - just in God’s timing, not ours.

It may feel like we are waiting a long time and suffering under the weight of evil in this world, but when we are in the world without end, this life will seem like a distant memory, a blip compared to eternity.

Almighty, everlasting God, Your Son has assured forgiveness of sins and deliverance from eternal death. Strengthen us by Your Holy Spirit that our faith in Christ may increase daily and that we may hold fast to the hope that on the Last Day we shall be raised in glory to eternal life; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
