Part of me always wonders how would Binah react if you were to suddenly wake up while she carried you back to your room either by a loud noise or some other reason. Especially when you haven't grown too close to her that cycle yet

Binah pauses the moment she feels you jolt, the distant crash- caused by some foolhardy agent, no doubt- making even her wince. your eyes meet hers. one pair wide and full of trepidation. the other calm but with a hint of aching despair. silently, she lowers you to the floor so you can sit, kneeling beside you

"My apologies."

your Sephirah never apologizes. not to her agents, not to the Manager. not even to Angela. yet she apologized to you, swiftly checking any wounds and injuries. not a word is said when she leads you to your room, no longer in her arms but with her all the same, watching quietly as you manage to find your bed and crawl in

ah. how she wishes she could gently wrap you in blankets, hold you close, cradle you to her chest. she could do that in the previous cycle. in all the ones that came before that. but no, she can't. not now, you don't know her yet. she's still the terrifying Arbiter, the Sephirah of Extraction, and you hesitate because she could kill you in a blink

that's alright. she won't give up, she never has. she'll keep being subtly present, a hand against your back, a refuge. until she's nothing to you but truly, wholly Binah
