Fic summary:

Half a year after Aziraphale left, Crowley is trying his best to come to terms with the fact that the world is going to end in just seven weeks and that he will likely have to face that end alone. Having done all he can, all that's left for him to do is to distract himself while he waits. Teaching a too-nice-for-their-own-good human not to take in random strangers might be just the ticket. Meanwhile, up in Heaven, Aziraphale is receiving some troubling news about the Second Coming. Troubling - but possibly the best chance he is ever going to get to set things to rights. Now, if only he could get Crowley aboard, but that seems to be much more difficult than he would like. The solution to all their problems is much closer than they think. If only they'd remember the elephant... OR: Just another post-season 2 fic. But with more glitter.

We never saw Aziraphale being happily trusting of Heaven. Thinking its a good place. Just. Or fair.

We saw Crowley though:

Imagine. Aziraphale always knew (as far as we saw) that Heaven was not right. And not good. And he tried to warn his new friend about it too who didn't believe him.

Can people please stop making him into a stupid puppet who can't see what Heaven really is.

ESPECIALLY after they created Hell, threw his friend into it and plenty humans too. How could he possibly think they are good? Or light? Or truth? Or whatever they themselves say they are.

He began walking again. The first raindrops began to fall — the park was emptying quickly. He flinched at the first drop on his forehead, and wiped it away, but many others followed. Before he even made the next turn, he was drenched and shivering.

But none of it mattered. Because on the steps of the bandstand, leaned against a column, legs kicked out in front of him and staring at the sky, was a familiar, red-headed demon.

The ice-cold grip of desperation closed around Aziraphale’s chest. Crowley wasn’t moving. He barely seemed to notice the rain that was drenching his clothes.

Please, he sent Upwards while he sped up his steps, please, if you’re listening at all, don’t let me be too late.

Crowley didn’t move to look up at the rapidly approaching crunch of gravel. But he moved when Aziraphale dropped to his knees next to him: he recoiled like a snake and nearly fell down the few steps with the momentum before he managed to stand up. His sunglasses clattered to the ground. Beneath them, his eyes were wide with shock.

„Aziraphale?"

Aziraphale got to his feet as well, stumbling forward to grasp the demon by the shoulders. „Crowley", he choked out. „Crowley, my dear —"

Aziraphale has been in Heaven for two years, and so far, he's had a horrible time of it. But at least, he has something of a plan — at least he's pretty sure he does. (This is actually just some thousand words of self-indulgent azi angst. I just really wanted to put my favourite character through a little torment and then make him and Crowley kiss and make up later.)

Summary: Aziraphale never intended for the summoning to work, not really. But he may have got a little excited upon discovering the original version of a ritual while working on restoring an old occult book. He just recreated the steps out of scientific curiosity, really. But when the summoning actually unexpectedly worked, at least it summoned a being who was nice about the whole thing.

He’s got some alcohol somewhere, he thinks, hidden in a back cabinet. He’d made a habit of keeping a few bottles, the nicer stuff, in the shop for when Crowley stopped over. The cabinet in question creaks open, as Aziraphale’s thoughts drift to it, but upon further investigation, all he’s got is a bottle of stale gin, and- well.

They wander along a few steps, looking at one another, only breaking eye contact when Crowley very nearly wanders into a lamppost and has to do an evasive hop to get around it. When he looks back around, the angel is still watching him as if he were the sun.

This whole thing was going to do marvellous things for his ego, the demon thinks. And possibly dangerous things to his heart. 

“I love you.”

He nearly falls off the pavement.

I know we are all used to hear bad news from the USA or UK when it comes to trans rights but this time Germany wants to play in the same league.

Our idiots at home ministry came up with the fucking idea to start a register for all transgender and nonbinary people which would mean every person working at some public position could always at any given time see your assigned gender at birth, your deadname, your address and who knows what else.

We had been there in the past. Hitler Germany called it the "Travestite Law" back then. Our politicians didn't learn.

We all know this is unacceptable.

Please, if you are German, sign it. If you are not, spread it wide and far.

This had been stopped once a few years ago. It needs to be stopped again.
