The Benefits of Explainer Videos for the Healthcare Industry
Tumblr media
In the rapidly changing healthcare industry, effective communication is the key to engaging, educating, and making patients understand. The health sector has seen a new powerful tool in explainer videos, which have been used to explain complicated concepts, market services, and facilitate communication between the patient and the provider. For us, being one of the Best Animation Studios, we feel that integration of explainer videos in healthcare organizations will be of great value.
1. Simplifying Complex Information
Healthcare is replete with jargon and long procedures that leave the patients baffled. An explainer video makes things clear through graphics and simple words, which allows the patient to understand more about his or her diagnosis, possible treatments, and procedures carried out on him or her. It will help break down these complex concepts and allow the healthcare providers to better facilitate patients' comprehension and ease stress.
Example: A short animated video explaining a surgical procedure can alleviate patient fears and provide clarity about what to expect before, during, and after the operation.
2. Enhancing Patient Engagement
Engaging the patients in their improvement journey is crucial for favorable outcomes. A video explainer may even be of interest to more people than any ordinary pamphlet or leaflet. Animation and storytelling in videos make patients hear and remember better, making them more involved in care.
Example: A video that shares patient testimonials and success stories can motivate others to seek treatment, fostering a sense of community and support.
3. Boosting Marketing Efforts
Marketing is important for attracting more patients and sustaining the existing flow of patients for a healthcare organization. Explainer videos will be shared across the sites, social media, or even during the onboarding process of the patient. Videos that display services, expertise, or the philosophy about patient care are effective marketing tools.
Example: A promotional video showcasing a new health service or technology can attract potential patients while educating them about the benefits.
4. Improving Training and Education
Explainer videos not only benefit patients but are also a great tool for training staff. Visual aids enhance the learning experience for healthcare professionals, and thus organizations can use these explainer videos to train healthcare professionals on new equipment, procedures, or compliance guidelines.
Example: A training video demonstrating the proper use of a medical device can improve staff competency and reduce errors.
5. Accessibility and Convenience
The explainer videos are available at all times, anywhere. It is an easy resource for patients, they can replay the video as many times as needed to ensure they understand what is happening to their health and treatment plan.
Example: Patients can watch instructional videos on managing chronic conditions from the comfort of their homes, empowering them to take control of their health.
Conclusion
Explainer videos are extremely important for the healthcare sector, considering their ability to clarify, engage, and aid patients as well as healthcare professionals. Being one of the Best Animation Studios, we know that what's needed is exceptional production and storytelling that gives impact to the videos in resonance with the target audiences.

there is a special place in hell for cat owners who allow their cats to free-roam a residential neighborhood because it's ~natural~.
The amount of devastation and heartbreak I have seen from loved ones whose cats accidentally got out makes me like twice as mad too because I cannot. I cannot fathom the cruelty and selfishness required to ignore what we know to be best practice for cat husbandry because your feefees get uncomfies when people tell you it's animal abuse to wilfully, knowingly cut your cat's expected lifespan from 15-20 years to 2-3.
KEEP. YOUR. FUCKING. CATS. INSIDE.

"The researchers have not tested the process on humans, and it’s not clear what dosage of dye or delivery method would be necessary. Human skin is about 10 times thicker than that of a mouse, according to the researchers.
“Looking forward, this technology could make veins more visible, easing … the procedure of drawing blood or administering fluids via a needle — especially for elderly patients with veins that are difficult to locate,” said senior author Guosong Hong, a Stanford assistant professor of materials science, via email.
“Moreover, this innovation could assist in the early detection of skin cancer, improve light penetration for deep tissue treatments like photodynamic and photothermal therapies, and make laser-based tattoo removal more straightforward.”"

Veterinarians in Canada say they are experiencing extreme burnout and plummeting mental health due to staff shortages, a booming number of animal patients and the round-the-clock stress of the job. Neil Pothier, a veterinarian since 1985 who runs an animal hospital in Digby, N.S., said caring for animals has never been easy, but it's a job he's always loved. "But now, all day long, people are talking about burnout and thinking of quitting," Pothier said following a meeting with veterinarians from across Nova Scotia. "We are struggling to try and make it." Pothier said the increased workload, which in many rural areas comes with on-call emergency care 24 hours a day, is resulting in severe stress and exhaustion that has worsened over time. "People are just at the point where they don't know what to do. And there is already a high suicide rate in the country in our profession, which is terrifying." Survey data compiled in 2020 suggests that veterinarians in Canada were far more likely to think about killing themselves when compared with the average person. The study, published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, found 26.2 per cent of 1,403 veterinarians surveyed had suicidal thoughts within the previous 12 months. Statistics Canada data from 2022 found that 2.5 per cent of Canadians surveyed had thoughts about killing themselves within the last year.

People acting like animals should have a use or a purpose so that they have the right to continue existing is one of the most regressive and annoying things that I keep seeing fucking EVERYWHERE.
Animals should be allowed to live and are important for the simple fact that they are here and alive. You see it a lot with insects. Just because they are personally annoying to you doesn't mean they are less deserving of life. Everything interacts with everything else to keep the whole world ticking around, and it is not up to us to upset that. So what if mosquitoes annoy you. I don't give a shit. They shouldn't be blanket exterminated because of this. Not to mention the fact that they are important. They are pollinators, food for other animals, but even if they weren't, even if they just did nothing, that wouldn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to exist. What gives you the authority to decide that, huh? Why are you so special?
This goes for humans too, by the way. Why must a person contribute or work or whatever to be worthy of being loved and supported? They're alive, and therefore have inherent value. If you think that isn't enough, then you are the problem. Have some god damn compassion, or failing that, just keep quiet.

Can you share some of your favorite bat facts? I wanna add more to my lil arsenal of cool random facts. :]
Of course! Apologies for the late response, I saw this at like 1am four days ago, forgot everything I knew about bats, and then fell asleep and only remembered I even got this ask today. Anyways! Some bat facts :)
Common Vampire bats are some of my absolute favourites, mostly because of their ability to run on the ground! They can gallop with their forelimbs and take off from the ground by leaping into the air and catapulting themselves with their wings, which is speculated to be how Pterodactyls took off as well! Most bats cannot take off from the ground, and must be elevated to take flight, so this is pretty cool. Makes sense too, since they mostly feed from the ankles of large mammals and so need ground maneuverability!
Here's a video of a vamp taking off, and here's a video of one walking around! I think their skittery movements and lil' faces are just the CUTEST, but I know I'm probably in the minority there. Also there's a large dish of blood in the second video, so fair warning there!
All three true Vampire bats have evolved special grooves in their mouths in order to act as a gutter of sorts to funnel the blood into their mouths, but the exact arrangement differs between them. The Hairy-Legged Vampire bat has a groove along the roof of the mouth, whereas the White-Winged and Common Vampire bats have lingual grooves under the tounge! Speaking of White-Winged Vampire bats, they're the only bats in the world with 22 teeth, for some reason (likely no reason since the molars are vestigial), AND they have scent glands in their mouths that might be used to deter predators. Pretty cool stuff!
Finally, all three species of true Vampire Bats are cute as hell. Look at these lil' guys!!

I would like to post something very off topic just to ensure others are careful with their pets.
If you have a pet that likes to eat/destroy things and they do so easily: Please take away any toys that include thread or string.
String/rope toys may seem very typical, normal and harmless. They are usually in many households as an easy, cheap option as well. However, there is deep harm that they can cause if the string/rope/thread is ingested.
Of course, all toys will usually have a typical guide to supervise and throw away when destroyed. However, with how messy rope and string can get when bitten or chewed, it may be hard to tell if they have already ingested it, or if you would class it as destroyed.
In my eyes, it is far too risky and the severe repercussions are not communicated effectively enough from these companies. In my experience, I would never have purchased one of these toys in my entire life for any pet, if I had known what it could do. Other toys are much more suitable.
If you do not like to hear about medical injury in detail, or are sensitive, or have had a bad experience - please ignore the rest of this post.
When rope/thread etc is ingested, it cannot be digested. It continues through the stomach and into the digestive tract. The digestive tract is of course an extremely soft and vulnerable organ. To digest and get food through it tends to make small movements to move things along. The string can become entangled in itself and very stubbornly refuses to pass easily. It then can create a blockage in any part of the system. This results in an inability to keep food or water, creating dehydration which can be fatal in itself as well as massive weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea(until nothing can be passed), lethargy and general pain/discomfort.
With all the movement that the organ makes, the string can tighten and become very taught. You know how tough rope etc can be if you pull it against something? For example people have cut meat with string.
If that string or thread continues to be moved it can become very tight and even cut right through the tract. Not just once, but twice, three times or more. It is beyond extreme pain that no animal should suffer. Not only that, there can then be leakages that could be fatal as a result of infection etc.
While of course we know to be generally cautious with our pets, sometimes we may not see things, our pets like to sneak behind our backs sometimes, and we can think something is harmless to the point we don't pay attention. Things can happen in 2 minutes of you doing a chore. There are many situations where things can happen. This is just to warn you that rope toys and similar can create unimaginable situations, especially when you aren't aware of what it can cause when it goes wrong. I highly recommend throwing rope toys away, but if you don't, ensure you are really watching that they're not sneakily eating any of it. I don't recommend leaving them alone with it for even a second.
You may think nothing has ever happened, so it's fine. But you can't 100% control your pet and because of that, something unusual may happen. Something severe. I urge you to be cautious, not to create fear in you, but to reduce it in the future potentially.
Thanks to anyone who reads this, I wish all of you and your pets good luck and amazing health.
