The problem with reality shifting isn't that people believe in it. It's not a "Oh look at what those cringe tiktokers are believing in, haha".
The problem is that a lot of people believe in being able to shift to a better reality, who severly struggle with their mental health. It's their alternative to unaliving themselves. I know that, because I was in the same situation. I was only managing my everyday life because I thought that I would be in my desired reality soon.
That was positive at first, it kept me going. But that believe can become harmful very quickly.
Trying to shift realities is connectet to a lot of healthy practices like meditating, positive affirmations, hydrating but as soon as it becomes a form of escapism, it's harmfull and should not be encouraged.
If you do continue to belive in reality shifting, go ahead. But please: Explore reality shifting, don't try to escape this reality and your problems. Please seek proffesionall help or inform yourself on how you can help yourself. You are not alone.
If you are practising reality shifting in order to explore and have fun, I love that for you. But please look out for other members of the community and dont encourage escapism. When someone who is struggling with their mental health (and especially things like depression, psychosis, self harm, su/dal thoughts), encourage them to seek help and find healthy ways to cope.
