The first week Echo is around Crosshair doesn't even speak to him. He looks vaguely displeased, nods or shakes his head as answers to everything, grunts in his direction when he wants his attention for something. Mutters quiet 'reg's to refer to Echo. Echo is half convinced Crosshair hates him, regrets having him join Clone Force 99.

Until Echo mentions he likes strawberries. He didn't even say strawberries were his favorite fruit. Just that they had strawberries and when asked if he wanted some he said 'Sure, I like strawberries.'

The next day there are two cartons of strawberries in his locker on the Marauder.

He has no idea where they came from but he's not complaining about free fruit so he washes them and cuts them up and shares them with the rest of the batch. And every so often another carton of strawberries will show up in his locker. He has no clue who this mystery strawberry gift giver is, just that they seem to always know when he's out of strawberries. He knows its one of the batch but they all swear up and down it isn't them so he lives with these gifted berries until one night he catches Crosshair shoving another carton of strawberries into his locker.

The next day Echo washes the berries, cuts them up, puts some sugar on them (the way Cross prefers to eat them), and sits down next to Crosshair to silently share the strawberries between them. After a bit of silence he says "ya know, I like raspberries, too. If you ever can't find strawberries." Crosshair side eyes him but just hums in acknowledgment, continuing to share the little bowl of fruit between them until they've both had their fill.

The next time he opens his locker there's a fresh carton of raspberries shoved inside.

I know it’s a joke that Natsu thinks he and Lucy are dating without having it said but I am out here truly believing that Natsu came to the conclusion he and Lucy were together (not in words but something clicked in their relationship) at some point during the grand magic games. Because the way they act after that is so much closer and more couple like than what was shown before.

From like…the second day onwards, that was his Lucy, and seeing future Lucy get shot with shadows really solidified it for Natsu.

And because Natsu’s acting this way, Lucy follows his lead and they’re so much more comfortable with one another.

now i don’t know if abby is a nap girlie but she’s gonna have to learn to be!! whether she’s coming home to you, already asleep, warm and waiting for her to cuddle up against you, under your (very specific) napping blankets. all the tension leaves her shoulders when you unconsciously tuck yourself into her :(

or maybe she’s the one taking a midday nap on the couch. she sleeps like the dead, her arms crossed and tucked into her armpits even in sleep. the hood of her sweatshirt is synched up to block out the light from her eyes. when you get home, the door wakes her up, a sleepy “baby?” calls to you from the hallway. and there she is looking ooey gooey and sooo fucking cute you could EAT! HER! UP! but you would never do that so you just lay on top of her for twenty minutes getting a mini post-work nap in before dinner. don’t forget to kiss her all over her face!!!!

abby’s favorite is when you guys are watching tv or reading in the living room, limbs tossed over each other. you’re both straining against that sleepy phase that hits at 3pm but it’s just soooo cozy!!! you have a good book in your hands, one of abby’s hands is softly massaging your calf muscles. the other hand is holding her book open (which is one of the hottest things you’ve ever seen). and you’re so warm, like you can’t help it!!! you fall asleep. it takes abby two minutes to realize you’re asleep, when your book drops to your chest. she gathers both the books and puts them on the coffee table. rearranging a little to put her feet up and sink into the couch more. she keeps massaging your legs until sleep takes her.

…, sooo idk if you can tell but sleep is my love language. thank you for listening 🫶

maybe i'm swinging a bat at a hornet's nest here but as an aroace person, i think it's kind of messed up to say that levi is canonically aroace now

yes, he said that he doesn't care about people and that concepts like empathy, compassion, and love are unfamiliar to him. but attraction is not the same as any of those words. i get that people may want to headcanon him as aroace (especially since we don't get a whole lot of representation in the first place), but to insist that it's canon feeds into stereotypes about people with low empathy and aroace people alike

@twstinginthewind I'm sharing your tags here partially because I love them and partially because...

you're correct! On both counts, actually!

1) Copper and Kalim literally meet because Copper got very lost and found his way into the treasure storeroom, and that's where he was (just kind of standing and staring and wondering what to do now because this definitely wasn't the way back to where he was trying to go,) when Kalim walks and finds him, and strikes up a conversation! (Both leave quite a bit more twitterpated than they realize.)

And 2) both because of that as well as his ingrained responses being Kalim's bodyguard, Jamil does NOT trust Copper around Kalim AT ALL, point-blank-period full stop. And since I'm going to be retooling the timeline a bit, it gets even messier than I first had planned...because with how I'm shifting things around for Copper's events, this now means Copper will be present for book 4's events, and he's going to get roped into facing Jamil when he hits Overblot. Make no mistake, Jamil set off alarm bells for Copper for a WHILE but Copper couldn't figure out why (Jamil is a damn good actor) and felt like an asshole for distrusting Jamil. But now those alarm bells he's been dealing with the whole time? JUSTIFIED. So we go from mutual distrust between Copper and Jamil, with more intensity and added dislike on Jamil's part, to Copper being more distrusting of Jamil once he's seen his true colors come to light. The two are really going to have to work to overcome their differences (and I don't think it would happen until after the events of book 6, given the way Leona kinda kicks Jamil's ass into gear,) but they'll get there eventually, leading to Jamil easing up on that over time. I think by the time they're adults, Jamil will have reached a mindset of, "if I'm going to entrust Kalim's safety to someone else, then I'm glad it's Copper."

They miss them because they only have one eye now. Siffrin has bad depth perception. He can't tell if a space in a drawer or book is a bit bigger than it's supposed to be. They can't tell if something is sitting oddly-
