I swear to god i just found the funniest example of projection I've ever seen in my life. Like the call is seriously screaming from inside the house.

Pretty sure it wasn't Buddie fandom who bought a shirt simply because Lou wore it in a cameo once and then posted pics wearing said shirt tagged as louniform like you were all under mass hypnosis.

Also pretty sure it wasn't Buddie fandom spending hundreds of dollars for an actor’s headcanons on our ship.

It’s Buddie fandom that was saying for years that Buck was not straight. We were the ones that saw the signs for it and we were the ones who pushed for it. Without our support the show very likely wouldn’t have made bi Buck happen.

Also Oliver has confirmed that things like us reading the scene where Buck first sees Eddie as him being attracted to Eddie was right. Oliver also said that bi Buck was supposed to happen in s4 but Fox wouldn’t let it. Buddie fandom are the ones who saw things in s4 like Buck talking to his therapist about how he hides his feelings and how the shooting was coded like a scene between lovers not best friends. It’s not just us seeing what we want to see. It’s deliberate scenes they chose to include in the show.

Like even in season 7 they deliberately chose to pan to Eddie when Buck got his medal. They deliberately chose to have Eddie dress in a couples costume with Buck and have him stay not Tommy. They chose to have Buck’s coming out ep be heavily focused on Eddie. You can call us delusional all you want but we’re just seeing what’s canon and pointing out what is the most logical place for the story to go. B/T had almost no development in s7 where as Buddie had plenty.

You all want to believe T*mmy is the bestest boyfriend forever and B/T are going to get married and live happily ever after but there is zero indication of that happening. You call us crazy for thinking two men who have a deep bond stronger than friendship could fall in love yet you constantly twist every scene with T*mmy to mean way more than it was ever intended to.

What's the context as to what's going on exactly?

I assume you mean the people sending me death threats over a fanfictions I wrote (which is like... the 3rd? 4th? time this has happened now), but to summarize:

Ironically, I initially made this blog with the intention to just be very lowkey and post headcanons/silly posts/art and not engage in discourse.

At some point, I got an anon angry at me for mentioning how I viewed some of Aang's behavior towards Katara as toxic masculinity and answered it.

A kataang shipper reblogged the (properly tagged) post to whine at me even more, so I replied back with sources and maybe a little too much humor than she could handle, so she cried that I was a meanie and blocked me.

Had a few more experiences with Zutara haters reblogging my posts, making me increasingly annoyed.

I started writing more Zutara metas and criticizing canon more openly.

My posts got popular, popular enough that angry kataang stans started sharing screenshots of them around on here and Twitter.

I made fun of one particularly insane kataang stan who went on a few of my posts, and even into my DMs to screech at me for being every type of -phobic under the sun because I don't like Aang/Kataang. She still periodically blocks and unblocks me so she can shoot more of her brain vomit my way, and accuses me of harassing her for reposting screenshots of her unhinged comments to laugh at. She also accidentally followed me while trying to send an anon one time (I assume, since those buttons are close together) which was hilarious for someone who claims I bully and stalk her.

Recently, a bunch of kataang shippers got butthurt over a post I made referencing how Katara is drawn differently (it was a response to an Anon mentioning a much older post measuring the size of Katara's eyes and jawline) to make her appear younger during "romantic" moments with Aang. I commented on how I found it a creepy contrast and like how much more natural and human she seems while not with Aang, or with Zuko.

Another whiny brat kataang reblogged the (again, properly tagged) post calling me a pedophile, colonizer, racist, and whatever else his little rotten brain could come up with, and posted (without any trigger/content warnings!) out-of-context screenshots of a fanfiction I wrote exploring themes of sexual violence. This was apparently supposed to be "evidence" that I have a "fetish" or something, which needless to say, is an absolutely disgusting thing to say to a survivor talking about her experiences of sexual abuse, especially when you're a man who has never experienced that.

That brings us to why everyone is discoursing over the fic: Claws of Ice. Keep in mind, the majority of these people haven't read it, don't understand any of the context, and felt it was appropriate to leverage my trauma against me in the name of a ship war. The man in question is still crying about how he's the real victim here because I was apparently too mean to him when I responded to his accusations that I'm a pedophile and that my story of assault is a fetish to him, which is exactly the kind of male entitlement you'd expect.

So yeah! That's why they're all so obsessed with me, and throwing around every possible Bad Person accusation they can think of about me, but I really don't take it too seriously with that in mind. I was very nervous about posting this story in the first place because it was so heavy and personal and I was unsure of putting these themes out there, but the backlash has been oddly reassuring. The two biggest haters are that manbaby I mentioned, and that obsessive stalker who keeps spamming the atla-confessions blog with anons that are very obviously her while pretending she's trying to "calm down" the fandom, neither of whom can seem to formulate a coherent sentence. Like if that is the opposition, pretty sure I'm in the right here.

Hello and welcome to my first challenge. I am proud to present to you the Love Booth challenge, a month long exploration of love for the underrated characters of the Ikemen games.

General Rules

Works and art of all forms are welcome! Fanarts, fanfics, headcanons, moodboards, playlists and everything you can manage to think of is included. 

Limited to Ikemen fandoms and to certain suitors, due to popularity of some characters more than others I have decided to host a challenge exclusively for the less appreciated.

I had this idea since forever what took me so long to post it was the creations of the prompts I created in association with my lovely friend MO @xxsycamore.

I did my best to include most of the less loved characters from the Ikemen games exclusively with an English version.

That said if you think about other less popular characters, belonging to one of these games or to other Ikemen games that are not out in English yet, You are allowed to use these prompts as inspiration.

The main focus is to show love to characters not so loved by the fandom/game all year around without limit for this reason I won't make a masterlist.

this is entirely unprompted on your end, but i love your darcy and faramir takes and wanted to get your opinion on aragorn/faramir as a ship.

i'm salivating over it and nobody. cares. but i just love how it can show the possibilities of book faramir being a "threat" to aragorn's kingship in a way that nobody else is...how they can relate through their shared ancestry but the entirely different ways it impacted them in their respective lives - something about aragorn being the heir of isildur, growing up surrounded by elves, arnor. something about faramir being distinctly aware of the legacy of the stewards, his numenorean heritage and how it's fading away in the world of men, gondor (my fav world in lotr, you are so under-appreciated, gondor.) i personally adhere to the stewards-were-most-likely-also-royalty headcanon because of that extra juicy tension. throw in the i-knew-your-father-as-a-young-man aspect, the whole steward-quite-literally-serving-in-wait-of-the-true-king aspect? it's everything.

i dunno. the natural cause and effect of "return of the king" & "departure of the steward" is so interesting to play with in a romantic context, especially if it keeps both of them in the limelight when naturally, it should only be one of them? i think it's the aragorn ship that pushes his character and ambition the most, and in the same way, it can push faramir to show more machiavellian traits, more of him utilizing his political power and/or personal strengths. especially since his canonical fate is extremely satisfying but also...very conclusively an *ending* if that makes sense.

i might just want to see faramir clashing with aragorn wanting to wage more war. let him cook! let the man speak about "queen among other queens: not a mistress of many slaves"!!!!

also must admit that it's my contrarian ass wanting to rebel against the fanon "aragorn never ever wanted to be king" + "faramir is a pathetic meow meow" headcanons. the existing faramir x aragorn fics i've read all adhere to it which is frustrating.

Anon, this is my #1 Tolkien ship and actually one of the only m/m ships I've ever been super into. I used to guiltily sneak-read Aragorn/Faramir as a teenager because I grew up in a conservative community and hadn't come to terms with my own queerness at the time, and was still figuring out how to get by in that community just as a Democrat, much less a lesbian.

Anyway, I got a huge kick out of your ask because it's basically point-for-point my own feelings about them. If you haven't seen it, I even wrote a ship manifesto for them over ten years ago.

And unfortunately I do also agree that the (very PJ film-inflected) fanons around both characters have made it very difficult to find fic for the ship that isn't deeply OOC for the original versions of the characters (tbh the last time I looked, it was hard enough to even find F/A fics where Faramir had black hair, much less his deeper canon characteristics). Add in the fanon depictions of Gondor and the Stewardship, and a lot of what appeals about the pairing is lost for me. I read some good ones a longggg time ago, but wouldn't begin to know where to find them now.

(I know I should be the change I want to see and write some myself, but apart from the AU f/f and m/f/f versions, I think the closest I ever came to it was this post about a mostly-the-same-as-LOTR AU only with Faramir/Aragorn and this feeling explosion about "Faramir actually does accepts the dream-visions obviously intending him to be the one going to Rivendell but also it's Faramir/Aragorn.")

i have decided to be the change i wanna see, so lets do a nice little thing for each other, as a community full of incredible and talented writers. yes this is writer specific only, but thats cause thats where the main problem of people not interacting with creative works lies in this fandom as far as i can tell and have seen people talking about it especially in the last couple of months

and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place

i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together

A rough translation of my Saniwa username: 天狼星

This is the star Sirius, which roughly translates to "heavenly wolf star" in Chinese/Japanese.

I wanted a daimyou-style title for my saniwa self-insert, so it turned into Wolf of Celestia.

Don't be fooled by the name, though. I'm actually just a smol wet puppy burdened with feelings for boys who don't exist.

I first learned of his existence from Satou Takuya retweeting one of the promo videos for the game before it was released, so even before Day 1, I knew him as Rei. (And I was downbad for him without even knowing a thing about him.)

He is still Rei to me and always will be, but for ease of communication, I call him Zayne.

Because if he were to choose a colour, it would always be hers

The only time Dawnbreaker isn’t in red is when MC is in the same scenario. In those cases, Dawnbreaker is the default text colour, relinquishing his colour to her

Because he would choose to be empty if it meant he could stay with her for just a little longer

Hey I love Warren and Emma together but removing Monet's position and replacing her with a white woman who isn't really involved with X-Corp in your X-Corp idea is kind of a bad decision when you think about race for more than 5 seconds. But then again this happens in real corporations all the time if you're striving for realism.

I completely agree! That's why Monet is not removed at all!! ( I love her way too much to do that)

I had done a reblog while still brainstorming to talk a bit about Monet and Roberto da Costa's involvement and I am of course acutely aware of the optics.

I'll explain all the lore in much more finalised character profiles, but for the moment:

X-corp is based on a four way, equal shares leadership. So basically, a four person board! Which includes Warren, Monet, Emma and Roberto all on a 25% basis.

I think it's much more fun, accurate and interesting that way! (They're all very experienced, so it makes sense they all get major positions)

They all handle different departments of activities though.

So despite being Co-Co-Co-Co CEOs, they specialise in a specific activity:

Monet is in charge of handling the international aspect of the company. So the different branches all over the world. She coordinates all of that business and travels a LOT abroad to make deals, exchange etc... I think this plays on her strengths as a very well traveled, polyglot who's very good at imposing her vision and handling tough situations.

Roberto is where we go more into headcanons. In canon, Roberto has always been fiercely attached to justice. He's always been big on arguing and standing by his positions! ( Standing up to Xavier since age 13!) + I believe that he would be a bit turned off by his father's greed and quickly get bored of numbers so he would rather handle more strategic and problem solving aspects of the company. Naturally, I believe he became a very successful corporate lawyer! So he's head of the legal affairs section of the company.

Warren is still kind of the face of the company, being the most "famous" of these four. In canon, he has a business mind but I'm looking to orient him a bit more towards a creative direction. So if anything he's handling the creative direction/ administration aspect of the company! Basically: "what else can we do or add to make this better?"

Emma with little explanations needed is handling the finances of the company (in tandem with her very very tired head of accounting Bobby drake)

This all sounds serious, but I promise, this is much more of a gag AU that will be 80% meme redraws and like 20% nice illustrations If I can manage ☠️

Like, Warren got intensely obsessed with ecology and has a secret zoo in the basement archives. Emma keeps trying to fraud her way out of expenses and Roberto is STRESSING trying to keep her in line (bobby is also absolutely exasperated by her shenanigans).

Monet is a zoom princess! They go without seeing her three weeks at a time and wonder if she's not taking secret vacations... (She isn't! She's the most hardworking member of the team, she just mixes efforts with pleasure in an efficient way)

The comic cover divide of Warren and Emma and Monet and Roberto is purely based on age basis and potential crackship romantic plots! (I find it very very weird for people to ship Monet and Warren together, and let's be honest, Monet is Roberto's type to a T). And I'd like to add that this quartet all have very fun dynamics together! The potential is endless honestly, this is the "we're better than you and we know it" team. But will they be able to work together? 👀 We'll see!

Obviously, more to come, but as a preview, the extended cast is very interesting! We have Boom Boom, Karma, Kyle Jinadu, Northstar, Iceman, Sage, Windancer, Kwannon, Trinary and Prodigy all doing fun stuff!

I do! I used to be bad at it, cause it's hard sometimes to know how to respond to praise, but I really like showing my appreciation for the comments I get. People who comment are the people who keep fandom going. The only rare exception is occasionally I do get some weird comment I don't know how to answer (and it's like. It feels rude in some way but not overtly enough to yell at them for), but that's typically some fandom outsider and it's very unusual

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Hmm I usually do at least reasonably okay endings, like even if it's not happy it's hopeful. There is Nightmares, the one benpoe/darkpilot fic I've written that has kind of a gut-punch ending. I also have Gloves from my dragon age days that's a canonical assisted suicide as a modern au. I have a few others with open endings that could be a bad ending but that's why they're open, to let your imagination make it worse ;)

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

This feels difficult cause like I said, most of my endings are happy, or at least hopeful. I guess the one that's the most like, surprising in how it goes happy is Say It On Video? The trick makes it inherently schmoopier lmao

Do you write crossovers?

Not often, but I have. I think about them more than write them cause honestly it's a lot of work to wrangle everything lmao. I've done Ashes Among the Stars, a kylux and gundam crossover, and also that one time Kylo got facehugger-ed. There's also a wip from when I played Kylo in bg3 that may or may not get finished (post-game kylostarian hatefucking)

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not really honestly? I got accused of plagiarism once because someone didn't realize emperor and hound is indeed a genre in kylux and not one persons fic lmao. If the accusation held weight, I would've addressed it, but it didn't in this case. I did get a weird comment on an original sci-fi horror thing I wrote a while back but tbh that was just someone who found the horror too horror-y so honestly it was kind of a compliment sdsld. But yeah I'm lucky, I haven't really gotten much that I can recall

No, closest I've done is doing big bangs and bouncing ideas off my partner(s), or going back and forth on headcanons with friends in dms. I hope I will, but idk

What are your writing strengths?

I think POV and characterization - I get compliments on this stuff most often too. Like really getting deep into a characters' head so the emotions can hit harder, and cause I write fic, accurate characterization is my number 1 concern so I'm happy that I consistently get compliments on that!

What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm a big fan of deep POV and very like. Interior writing, that's what I like and am good at, but that does I think limit me in terms of making a Big story. My stories tend to be more deep than wide and while I do like that, sometimes I wish I could do something longer or more expansive. Actually do some world-building, get a real cast of characters going. Something like Under Construction for example could've been easily twice the length if I'd gone into more with the Resistance or the villagers. Should it have been? Idk, maybe, people probably would've liked it more at least. I do like a smaller, more detailed story, but it would be fun to pull off something more expansive someday. If I'd done that though I'd still be working on it now lmao. I am happy with how it turned out, it was just one example. Most of my fics could be made bigger

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it should be done correctly, I guess - for example, not doing bad, inaccurate stereotypes of bilinguals and stuff. Also I think translations should be provided, either in text (if the pov character understands it) or in the notes (if it's just extra flavour that isn't needed to understand the story as the pov character does)

Funny enough, I did have an idea for a Kylo/Ren/KOR fic where they all speak a language he doesn't and so a horny game of training him literally like a dog by using simple commands he doesn't understand but has to learn if he doesn't want to be punished, but that would require a lot of assistance lmao cause 1) I'm monolingual, 2) the only language I know even remotely well enough to attempt this with is russian and I don't know it THAT well by far, and 3) it's harder to find horny translations than non-horny ones so like. I would need an entire other human to assist me lmao. And I know plenty of people who speak multiple languages but like. I never wrote the rest of the fic either so let's just say it's very likely not happening skdlsdk

What's the first fandom you wrote for?

Technically it was Gundam Seed, some weird reader-insert thing with no romance at all, only suffering sdklsds. That was when I was like 14 though and it's gone from the internet as far as I know (a shame, I'd actually love to find it again, but the site it was on is gone). Then I didn't write for years until I went nuts over dragon age in 2014

This is never an easy question, and I feel like I always default to 'whatever long thing I wrote most recently' lmao. And tbf I am going to do that again by saying Under Construction, but that one... may actually stay as the favourite for a long time or maybe even forever. Because it was so ambitious, it took me so long (nearly 4 years!!!) and it just. It's got a lot in it, a lot of emotions that I felt all throughout it's writing process, from 2019 through to 2023. There's bitterness and anger and frustration, but there's love and care and passion and just. I have a lot of feelings inside that fic okay lmao

There's one person whose comment included "This fic cares more about [Kylo's] character than the entire movie trilogy did" and it's like. Yes, yes, that's exactly the thing, that's the highest compliment you could give me, that's exactly where it came from. That fic is simultaneously my 95 theses nailed to canon's door, my manifesto directed at the fandom, and my love letter to the character himself as well as the ship. That fic is just so much to me and I really do love Kylo Ren as a character that much, it's honestly hard to describe how significant it is to me. I wonder if I'll ever be able to make anything with more of me in it than that fic

I've also yet to write him in a ship where he takes the more dominant role, but this isn't by design, so who knows? Nothing is impossible.

2. Ships must be established first, please don't use any nsfw prompts unless we've established a ship.

455 - Relocation to Nargothrond

465-466 - Celegorm and Curufin kidnap Lúthien and are exiled for their crimes. Celebrimbor renounces his father and remains in Nargothrond.

506 - Death of Curufin

510 - Gil Galad becomes High King

Second Age

750 - Eregion is founded by Celebrimbor**

1200 - Annatar comes to Lindon and Gil Galad turns him away.

1200s - "Annatar" arrives in Eregion and begins the seduction of Celebrimbor and the Gwaith-i-Mírdain. Begins to work with them crafting rings of power.

1500 - "Annatar" leaves Eregion.

1590 - Celebrimbor forges Nenya, Narya and Vilya on his own without the influence of Sauron.

1600 - Sauron forges the One Ring. Celebrimbor realises who Annatar truly is and repents, seeking to make amends for having been deceived.

16?? - Celebrimbor seeks Galadriels council and gives her Nenya. Narya and Vilya are given to Gil Galad.

1697 - Sack of Eregion. Celebrimbor stands against Sauron but is captured and tortured for the location of the rings. ***

His body is later used as a banner for the forces of Sauron.

* - There is no set year for his birth and I feel like he must have been considered a child if he wasn't expected to swear the Oath, so I have given this birth date to my iteration of Celebrimbor.

** - There are varying sources on who founded Eregion. Some say Celebrimbor and others say Galadriel and Celeborn. I've elected to go with it being Brimbys baby.

*** - I know he technically was killed shortly after/during the siege of Eregion but listen... I once read somewhere that he was held for two years and tortured, and while I can find not a single speck of evidence for this... I like the idea that he managed to hold out for so long. So, in my main canon for Celebrimbor, he was held "for a time" and tortured within the confines of Mordor. For spice.

The Basics: (or the General Info)

This blog serves to be a more creative way for me to share all of the ideas that I had planned out for the Rockers, along with some other guys, mainly following a story-esque format that follows their "backstory" and how they had originally met up to become the well known rock duo they are now!

Following up on the text above, just to clarify and put it straight, the blog will not start out with the both of them right away, and will likely follow the perspective of one or the other.

While there will be art for a bunch of the asks, especially for standard posts that are needed to progress the story, I cannot guarantee that there will be something drawn for each ask, though I do wish to try and do so. That applies to whether it's a colored sketch, actual drawing, a simple doodle, etc.

Some characters may have different names than some that may be commonly used as a fan-name from the fandom, the main case of this going to Student (name being Jamie.)

This whole blog's going to be a headcanon fest, considering how a majority of this is me making shit up for the most part, so please keep that in mind if you see different portrayals for one thing or another.

Additional Notes:

If you are running another character-based blog, it is completely alright to interact with this account! Just keep in mind that this is technically taking place in the past, which means that any asks that are sent that mention anything that could be in regards to any present matters /foreshadows anything about the Rockers will likely be ignored.

So I've been on a Raileon kick lately and I saw one of your posts in the tag, and your takes are so incredibly based that I wanted to hear more. Please tell me, why do you personally ship them? I feel like hearing what you have to say will only make my love for them stronger.

so I'll be honest, I'm a chronic multishipper, so usually I look at a group of characters I like (such as the SWSH characters) and in the true spirit of a kid who played with dolls for many years, I like to move them around and ship them in various ways. like, I'm also a huge fan of Leon/Piers, Piers/Raihan, Sonia/Nessa, even my rarepair of Sonia/Piers as just a few ways I'll slam them together skdjflksf. which is how Raileon fell into my lap

that being said, I'm exceptionally compelled towards Raileon for a few reasons :3

I just find Leon and Raihan to be fascinating characters on their own. I think if I delved into the ways in which I adore them as characters we'd be here a while, but SWSH in general has some amazing characters, with some pretty well executed character arcs. and I'll admit I didn't like Leon at first, but god did he grow on me (to the point he's my fav SWSH character). Raihan grew on me slowly when I started reading the manga and looked at his character a little closer. and when I looked at him closer I started analyzing his and Leon's relationship in game. and then --

I love characters at odds with each other who learn to overcome the thing(s) keeping them apart. because sure, they're rivals, but they've been rivals for so long? and Raihan can't beat him? and he feels inadequate because of that? and then there's Leon who feels the weight of the world on his shoulders? keeping the world at arm's length, all so he can be Champion? holding onto the one thing that shaped him since he was a child? that holds so much potential. you can do SO MUCH with that. the amount of fanfiction, and stuff I've made in my own mind palace/written in chunks, about them overcoming their insecurities and moving forward through Rose's influence and the Darkest Day is just so good. also Leon being taken care of after the Darkest Day, by Raihan, his rival? it makes me feel like I'm going to start gnawing through my wall, if I'm being real

another thing that really compels me towards them is the idea of deconstructing norms. both norms set by Galarian society in what they envision these two as, and the norms they impose on themselves. learning how to shirk those norms, be more and more comfortable in their own skins, and then loving each other more because of it. unmasking certain things about each other, letting their hair down, and breathing. there's something personally compelling to me, for reasons deeply personal, that I find very comforting. and I think for all the ships that I attach myself to there's an element in there of raking through the muck and grime of one's soul and still loving what is found there. that might be my own personal projection speaking, but I see in fanfic and headcanons too, so I think we're all seeing something here in that regard sdkljslkjfs

without recycling talking points from my other posts, at the core of it all that's really why I ship them. and I truly love these guys, I have Leon and Raihan plushes and the bag with their faces on it that was sold sdkjfdflk. above it just a fancy way of putting like *holds up Leon and Raihan* "I just think they're neat" essentially <3
