Okay but imagine Viktor getting a chance to show his undercity roots

They get locked out of the lab and Jayce is like fuck this is Skys day off and she has the extra key set how tf are we getting in and Viktor just starts picking the lock. Jayce hasn’t even gotten through his out-loud thinking process and Viktor already has the door open. He’s so confused. He even designed the door to not get broken into.

They go down to the Zaun markets for things they can’t find in Piltover and Viktor easily haggles down the prices to what they should be and not what they’re trying to charge Jayce. (He does pay full prices for people who actually need the money in Zaun).

Viktor easily charms people for information. Jayce needs help in the council with something and Hoskel is not being helpful at all. He can't go to the other council members. Viktor manages a meeting with him for coffee/drinks and he comes back two hours later with all the information Jayce would need. He had Hoskel eating out of the palm of his hand. He still has no idea how he did it.

Viktor trips people on purpose all the time. Some guy insulted him passing by at a gala and a few minutes later the man tripped and fell into the champagne fountain. Viktor didn't even change his facial expression, no one knew it was him except for Jayce. (Jayce was proud, thought it was funny).

Viktor can pick-pocket. (Sky can too). They have a game of "who can steal the most off Jayce" when they're all in the lab together. Mel has gotten in on it by giving them challenges like adding pins and stickers. Jayce is so confused. He is covered in pins and stickers. Someone help him.

Viktor has the street smarts in addition to his actual book smarts. He and Sky have helped to teach Jayce how to spot things like people getting ready to fight (the physical signs) who to avoid and why, how to get out of a spat in the bad parts of town, and how to use these skills in Piltover (avoiding drunk gala attendees, fighting outside of wine clubs).

Viktor can hold his own in a verbal spat. He's also got a temper when it comes to someone trying to break down his morals or is being just an outright ass. Once got into an argument with a store owner who was being ableist and downright insulting about him being from Zaun. He was gonna let it go but then the guy turned on Jayce and his family. Jayce had to drag him out. Viktor is now banned from the shop.

If I were writing it, Sky would’ve died the same but she would’ve said “No you won’t. Viktor would’ve.” When she died instead, symbolizing that she sees the change from Viktor to Machine Herald, and it makes more sense that way bc we’ve SEEN Viktor care about her. Whether you ship them or not, he wanted to abandon hextech because of what happened to her. She was there for him, he cared for her, he even (canon) got her her job as his assistant, to get her out of the Undercity.

Jayce and Viktor still would’ve had their scene. I’m not a huge jayvik shipper, but I’m not an idiot and I see that they loved each other. Going off league lore (I’m a league player 💔) I don’t think killing them both off was necessarily a good idea. Jayce would’ve tried to sacrifice himself and die with him but Viktor would’ve stopped him at the last minute, citing “you’re too valuable for Piltover to lose.”

When he got back, injured I’m sure, dealing with his disabled leg (a BEAUTIFUL mirror to Viktor btw, however you see them), Mel would’ve been there. Idk why people are saying they broke up bc they had a mild disagreement when he accused her of manipulation (WHICH HE APOLOGIZES FOR???), and they would’ve embraced as he mourned. He would’ve said “I loved him, Mel.” And she would’ve told him that she knows, and held him. This doesn’t erase their romance either, nor was Jayce “cheating” as people are trying to say. Jayce and Viktor having a tragic love that didn’t work out DOESNT mean that he cheated on, or loved Mel any less.

My headcanons on Arcane characters if they studied at school

Caitlyn:

- she is in the 10th grade

- excellent student, never cheats on exams

- performs all additional tasks to get the respect of teachers and be a good student

- she's good at sports, but doesn't like physical education lessons

- when she doesn't understand something, she asks Jayce for help and he explains everything very clearly

- lets only friends copy her homeworks/tests

- is always neat, wears blouses and jackets

- doesn't like to show off, but everyone knows how rich her family is

- doesn't have much friends, basically only Jayce and Vi, but also has good relationship with Mel

- helped Jayce to get together with Mel

- signed up for all school clubs and extras

Vi:

- she is in the 10th grade

- physical education is her favorite subject

- is really good at cheating on exams

- didn't leave the school only because she doesn't want to part with her friends and gf

- sometimes she skips lessons, but does it well not to have problems with teachers

- she is not stupid and is able to understand some difficult subjects, such as physics, but considers it useless and prefers to do something more "practical"

- only sits with Caitlyn

- considers most classmates very stupid and doesn't take them seriously

- tries to have a good reputation among the teachers so she can cover for Jinx if anything happens

Jayce:

- he is in 11th grade

- he's an excellent student, but he doesn't do anything "extra", even for a good grade

- he constantly argues with teachers, and usually turns out to be right, but they don't always admit it. So he doesn't have good relationship with all of the teachers

- He loves physical education, and loves playing volleyball with Vi

- goes to the same gym with Vi and always competes with her

- allows everyone to copy gis tests and homeworks

- is friendly and sociable, many people like him, but considers only Victor, Caitlyn, Vi and Mel as friends.

- usually sits with Viktor or Mel

- he and Mel are considered to be the "popular couple"

- he was in love with Mel since 5th grade, but they started dating only at 10th one

Jinx :

- she is in the 7th grade

- she often disrupts lessons, but the teachers are afraid to kick her out, and Vi tries to cover her up

- she constantly argues with the teachers, but not to prove she's right, but just because she can

- likes spending time with younger students like Isha

- once when she was studying at the 6th grade she called the fire alarm and everyone still remembers her for it

- skips a lot of the lessons, but still knows everything because she prefers to study by herself

Silco:

- a headmaster who is intentionally trying to make the students' lives worse and is convinced that this is the point of his job

- actually, he's the only reason why Jinx still hasn't been kicked out

- spends the entire school budget on expensive coffee

- he knows that everyone hates him and it doesn't bother him at all

- He only leaves his office on holidays, so only few people know what he looks like.

- he almost never listens to the complaints and opinions of the students, so the teachers don't send anyone to the headmaster except for Jinx

Viktor:

- he is in 11th grade

- he is very capable, but to be an excellent student, he has to work really hard.

- mutually dislikes Mel and doesn't know why (mainly because he believes that Mel has a bad influence on Jayce, but in fact he just wants a bigger friend group, even tho he's actually fine being friends with Jayce and Sky only)

- he refuses to cheat on exams because he wants to prove his abilities to himself

- Found it out that Sky was in love with him only after the graduation

- when he already knows the lesson good enough, he just spends it reading books or doing homework

- usually sits with Jayce, but sometimes with Sky too

- is agree with Jayce in most of his arguments with the teachers, but thinks it's stupid to conflict with them and doesn't like being involved

- Heimerdinger is the "father figure" teacher for him, with whom he spends a lot of time. Singed is also an important teacher to him, but not as close as Heimerdinger

Mel:

- she is in 11th grade

- is a member of the school council

- she tries to study diligently, but is an excellent student mostly due to her excellent reputation

- her favorite subject is history

- she doesn't tell others that Ambessa is her mother and only Caitlyn and Jayce know it

- she is considered to be the most beautiful girl in school

- the favorite of most of the teachers and gets along well with literally everyone in school

- always offres the best ideas in the school council, but because of Silco it is rarely possible to implement them.

- made the first step towards Jayce

- unofficially belongs to the company of "cool kids", but actually isn't really interested in them

- studies well to prove her abilities to Ambessa

- usually sits with Elora or Jayce

Sevika:

- Head teacher

- doesn't like kids very much

- nevertheless, she helps the school council to make the school at least a bit better

- allows herself to be openly rude to Silco, because she knows that she will not be replaced

- she always keeps cognac at school, but doesn't get drunk, she just drinks a little to reduce stress

- leaves work earlier than she supposes too and doesn't what Silco tells her

Ekko:

- he is in the 7th grade

- "the clown of the class", which is why some teachers dislike him

- he is able to express his dissatisfaction when it's needed, but does not argue much with teachers not to get in troublea

- he likes Jinx and Silko doesn't like it.

- is a skater

- has a company out of 7th grade students

- sometimes helps Jinx to make a fuss, but only a bit

Heimerdinger:

- physics & math teacher

- at least half of his lessons are about his life stories and morals

- explains his subject as clearly and easily as possible, so every student understands it

- Victor and Jayce are his favorite students and he sees great potential in them

- the students often make fun of him and don't take him seriously, but he's not aware of it

- nevertheless, the students love him, even Jayce, despite the fact that he constantly argues with him

- he often brings different sweets to the students

- every his lesson turns into a nightmare when Jayce or Jinx visit it. But without them his lessons are as calm and comfortable as possible.

Vander:

- he is a physical education teacher

- there are rumors that he was a school principal once

- all the children adore him, he gives them advices and supports them.

- organizes card games and board games in his office, so it's always fun there

- he communicates with Sevika well, but she doesn't like him

- lets the whole school eat from his refrigerator

- He openly calls Silco a terrible headmaster and constantly talks about it

Mylo:

- he is in the 9th grade

- he's not very smart, but thinks he is and acts as if he is, however he isn't stupid

- is good at joking

- helps Jinx forge documents since Vi refuses to

- secretly thinks Jayce is cool

- is always late at school

- likes to listen life stories of Heimerdinger and Benzo, spends most of his time in Vander's office

- tells everyone that he will leave the school, but he won't

- stopped teasing Jinx the moment Silco became a headmaster

Isha:

- she is in the 4th grade

- spends the free time with Jinx

- she studies at an average level: neither bad nor good

- plays Brawl stars

- she wears a backpack with a lot of pins, most of which were given by Jinx

- the only child whom Sevika loves, but it practically does not show up in any way.

- she really loves school

Claggor:

- he is in the 9th grade

- ia very good at physics

- is always with Mylo

- has a fairly large social circle, is friends with 7th graders

- not a genius, but is a pretty capable student

- never had a conflict with anyone and never got into trouble.

- skips classes only for really good reasons

Ambessa:

- the history teacher

- she's trying to get Mel to study harder, and it's working

- she is extremely strict, everyone is either afraid of her or hates her, and she loves this

- she constantly tells students that they will achieve nothing

- the only teacher Jayce is unable to argue and even Jinx is afraid of disrupting her lessons

Cassandra:

- represents the parent committee

- in the class chat she constantly complains about Silco, but it doesn't bring results.

- sent Caitlyn to a regular school so that she could learn to communicate with regular people and study diligently

- she gets along well with Jayce's mom well and they often discuss their children together

Grayson:

- Engliah teacher

- the is friends with Vander and Benzo, they often drink together on weekends

- the most fair teacher who does not treat anyone with prejudice

- She's probably the only teacher Jayce doesn't try to argue with, because she only tells the bare facts, doesn't impose her opinion, and doesn't state what she doesn't know for sure

- finds a unique approach to each student and students love her for this

- she likes to philosophy, but not during the lessons

Benzo:

- he is a shop teacher

- conducts the most chill lessons

- most of the time he hangs out with Vander

- his favorite student is Ekko

- tells students life stories and gossips among the teachers

- he knows about Ekko likes Jinx and is teases him for it every possible way

Singed:

- he is a cemistry and biology teacher

- is pretty creepy, everyone is afraid of him, including teachers and Silco

- his daughter is homeschooled, so no one has seen her, but everyone knows she exists

- there are rumors that he is doing something illegal in his free time, but no one wants to look for evidence

- he is always glad to answer all the students' questions, even the strange ones and really likes to communicate

Marcus:

- the school guard

- his daughter studies at elementary school.

- he is biased against students and only lets out those he considers good (Caitlyn and Mel) when they need to leave the school during the lessons, but he won't let Jayce out even when he has official reasons for it

- is really strict, at least tries to be

- but it's actually easy to have good relationship with him

- sucking up to Silko and Grace in every possible way

- he considers himself a very fair and excellent security guard

When I say Viktor can braid hair, what then? That man has the necessary precision and patience to braid Mel and Sky's hair like it's nobody's business. He's also ambitious enough to learn such a skill because someone told him he can't. He learnt out of spite and would do the girls' hair for the love of the game.

Jayce though? His spirit is in the right place, god bless, but sadly those hands the size of the girls' entire heads do not accomodate for a kind or accurate experience.

Some Arcane characters and their fragrance types/notes

because one of my main interests is fragrance and I saw people doing this over on tiktok. not indicative of how I feel about any of them and certainly not legit character reads, just a silly post for my own brain worms lol. long post

featuring, in order: Mel Medarda, Jayce Talis, Sky Young, Viktor, Vi, Caitlyn Kiramman, Lest, Salo, Sevika, and Steb

Mel Medarda’s whole vibe is very considered, and there’s no reason this wouldn’t extend to her perfume choices, imo. She’s prepared for every situation. Specifically, she would love a fairly neutral, lightly floral fragrance for work. Not overcomplicated, think waterlily and sandalwood. At home, no one will ever be able to tell me she isn’t THE warm vanilla girl. Overpowering 8 step warm vanilla shower routine. After her mage realisation, I think she would lean into some more spicy, citrusy scents. Verbena and pepper.

Jayce Talis. Look. I see people’s Dior Sauvage headcanons, and I hear them. I see you. However, I have to disagree on the specific choice as a matter of my own sanity. Dior sauvage when i find you. I do think he’s a spicy, herby fragrance wearer though! Sage, basil, rosemary, and cardamom. A really fresh edge. For sure has an ‘ol reliable’ that he’s repurchased 5 times and doesn’t even think when applying any more. People gift him new ones but he forgets to wear them.

Sky Young would love something very chill and low-key, clearly identifiable and not too many notes. Approachable and friendly but with personality. Coconut & sea salt, fresh linen & white florals, and cashmere & almond are some go-to combos.

Viktor is not an everyday fragrance wearer by any means, but maybe puts something on when he isn’t just in the lab. Partial to a paper note, and likes the subtle; the kind of thing you have to be very close to pick up. If he was more interested, he’d be into weird niche stuff, but alas. Green tea, fennel. Smells like straight ozone in s2.

Vi is still working out what she likes. She only wears something when she needs a bit of a confidence boost. She wears warm, comforting smells: spicy and musky. Cinnamony, peppery, a little green. She likes things that indirectly remind her of the outdoors. She has one ultra sweet sugary thing, which she doesn’t wear, but reminds her of her sister.

Caitlyn Kiramman, through s1, would be a powdery lavender wearer. Maybe with some sort of sweet, creamy note too, like white rabbit sweets. It was probably gifted by her parents. In s2, she goes darker and smokier. Deep amber and a little woody, occasionally an oud. She wears less perfume in s2 as well.

Lest would wear something edgy and sweet and intoxicating. Vanilla rum, cut with tobacco, lemon, and a woody note that smells like a bar. On anyone else, this would be completely too much, but she pulls it off with ease.

Salo is pink peppercorn galore, bright yet serious. Certified bergamot warrior. Cashmere base note. He thinks he’s the shit for this but he smells like a rich aunt. Still kind of serving though, actually. He has like 7 fragrances and they all smell identical.

Sevika. Oh my god. She smells so good and no one will convince me otherwise. She smells like Glass Animals’ Zaba album. Really heady, like incense and boozy cherry and orchid. Dark and intense, but with a little lemongrass brightness to back it up. A little sugar too, when you least expect it. Head turner for sure and she loves it. Will not tell anyone what it is.

Steb wears herby, but in an interesting way. Tarragon and dill, really fresh but almost medicinal at first. Cloves and star anise. There’s a twang of samphire too, green and a little salty. Bitter and almost intimidating. Kind of undefinable. Very identifiable.

I can't stop thinking about the fact that both Ximena and Caitlyn know Viktor.

I have no clue as to why it never crossed my mind before but yeah no shit they know him and yesterday I went asleep to the thought of what kind of relationship he may have had with both of them.

Like okay Viktor is an "ugh people" sort of introvert who keeps to himself and I don't believe he'd care for acquaintances who know nothing about science and such since Heimerdinger Sky Jayce and Singed are the only people we see him interact with in a meaningful way which makes me believe that it must've been them to come forward first: Ximena must know Viktor saved Jayce's life and Caitlyn is 100% aware he saved Jayce's work of a lifetime which failure nearly had both of them permanently separated meaning there's a good chance they both feel like they owe the man a lot for being able to have Jayce in their life after the trial.

I'm sure Ximena got to know him immediately after the events of season 1 episode 3. Someone pointed out Vitkor used his cane to block the door of the lab and it got broken when the explosion happened so Jayce either fixed it or made him another one but either way I can picture that himbo coming back home and being unable to stop talking about his new partner and what they achieved together. Mind you this has been a project of Jayce's and Jayce's alone for years until that very night so to hear that he now all of the sudden shares it with someone must've come out of nowhere and like every good mother who knows their kid I just know Ximena figured this Viktor guy her son kept blabbering about was about to become either her second child or her son in law. Nevertheless Jayce introduced them like the next day and as soon as she had the chance to take him to the side Ximena just let him know she ows him everything for saving her sons life and spirit. Being a kind and modest woman who likely respected his privacy and need for solitude at times I'm sure Viktor didnt mind her visits or her invites to drink tea or chatting with her on occasion as she also doesn't seem snobbish or prejudiced like most topsiders.

Meanwhile the idea of young Caitlyn knowing Viktor just absolutely cracks me up.

A sassy disabled man with a funny accent who came from the undercity with nothing but confidence in his own intelligence and made his way to become Piltover's founder's assistant to then risk it all to help her big brother achieve his dream and now is his lab partner, close friend and very obvious crush? That's the most interesting person Piltover has to offer and you bet your ass the outspoken teenage Caitlyn fucking Kiramman tried everything in her power to become his best friend as well in spite of all the controversy a zaunite sharing merit for such a big scientific breakthrough already had in the eyes of the city's most powerful people all of whom she's likely familiar with and Viktor was probably just terribly confused as to why the fuck would a councilors daughter be so interested in getting to know him. They bonded over their shared "take shit from no one" mentality though they have it for very different reasons and the reason he knew about this commonality of theirs is because as Jayce's patrons her parents wanted to organize a dinner to celebrate the start of the building of the hexgates and when Jayce asked about Viktor's invitation Cassandra awkwardly stated that they were his patrons alone and eager to meet the guy and shit talk about Jayce with him Caitlyn promptly clapped back reminding them how they wasted no time turning their backs on Jayce when he needed them after the trial (something I believe Caitlyn never forgave her parents for) and without Viktor there'd be nothing to celebrate; Jayce half jokingly told Viktor the story when he told him he was invited and I don't think he was necessarily looking forward meeting the girl but I know damn well that was the only reason Viktor accepted to step foot inside the Kiramman's property and Caitlyn specifically wanted to sit next to him so she could bury him with questions about growing up in the undercity and how he got into the academy etc. all out of place questions and perhaps a little invasive ones but he could tell she meant well and the absolute disregard for her family's station and how it may have made them look like must've been at least a little amusing. Pretty sure he'd also make sarcastic remarks to any rude comment he might have received and she would just giggle. I'm a firm believer in Viktor despising children but I think he thought Caitlyn was alright and whenever Jayce told him he was going to see her he'd always reply with "bring her my regards".

Perhaps he had a more stable and constant relationship to Ximena than he did with Caitlyn, but if he ever went to the hospital they both would bring bouquet of flowers and handwritten notes. They both would make sure Jayce would give him their "happy birthday" wishes whenever the time of the year came by. When Jayce was the only credited name for the hexgates they both (Caitlyn especially) voiced their disappointments alongside Jayce. They always came to see them both in competitions and every Progress Day ceremony they'd be looking for Viktor hoping he didn't close himself in the lab and when he wasn't they didn't hesitate to reach him and catch up granted he was in the mood to be sociable.

He wasn't particularly close to either of them but I like to think they both were a little bit of his family too from a distance and they both wrote his name right next to Jayce's on the piece of paper at the end of season 2.

If we asume "Imagine Dragons" exist in the Arcane universe. That means every group or artist we listen through the show could exist in Runeterra.

But!!!! I offer you all the idea (my headcanon) that every musician from Earth have their own version of themselves making music in Runeterra.

Which leads to my headcanon that Viktor listens Conan Gray and Alec Benjamin. The first one because he has discovered that Jayce frowns everytime he blast on the lab "Bourgeoisieses", because Viktor could be with the Bourgeoisieses but he hides in the lab and let him alone dealing with them. (Viktor ironically playing "Heather" and "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood whenever Jayce starts to talk about Mel, the song of choosing depends on Viktor's mood or how annoyingly in love Jayce sounds while talking.) Viktor can't listen to Ricky Montgomery, specially "Mr. Loverman" because something hurts inside him when he does and he doesn't like it. Jayce sings Abba whenever it starts to play. Viktor only sings under his breath "Money, Money, Money" and "the winner takes It all". Both of them sing (try to sing) "Bohemian Rhapsody" because they know the lyrics by heart, but Jayce always ends laughing when one of them doesn't get to the high notes.

Jayce is a Taylor Swift fan.

Viktor is an eclectic music listener and Jayce hates to let him pick the music. Because one moment he is all chill with a cool pop song and the next one is just fucking screams and death metal that gives him a heart attack while Viktor swears it is what he listened back in the Academy when he couldn't sleep because of exams. And after that hell of a song ends, there's a heart breaking indie song that gets Jayce so close to cry... He had to ban Viktor from choosing the music of the lab for a month.

Vander listens to country songs.

Silco listens k-pop because Jinx blast it at three am and he has no option.

Vi had a mcr phase, but also Caitlyn had a mcr phase but she did it so quietly almost no one noticed. Now both of them listen to lesbian artists together, and Vi only likes those indie songs because her cupcake likes to kiss her face whenever she is too focus on make fun of the lyrics.

Jinx secretly listens Mitski.

Vander and Silco had a song when they were young before the bridge, a song they sang to each other at first just making fun of the fact that everyone thought they were dating, after a while, It became their song. (The song is "Just the two of us" neither of them could listen to It again, Vander took the disc out of the machine of the bar and keep It on his room because despite everything that happened he hasn't the heart to throw it away. Silco found It when he took over the last drop after Vander's death... And he hid the thing out of sight but where he knows where it is... Sometimes when he miss Vander he thinks of playing the damn song, but he can't.)

Ekko and Mel can sing and rap but they don't do it in public because they didn't feel like It. Mel had sing to Jayce to calm him down one bad day when he saw Viktor in a pretty bad stage. Ekko only sings for the children of his community, he and Jinx doesn't know but once when she was even younger Isha spent a whole afternoon with the Firelights watching Ekko perform for the other children and despite Isha couldn't heard him, he vocalize so well she could understand the lyrics and follow the little dances the other children and Ekko made for the songs. (Sorry for that one) I feel like Ekko listens to everything too, but in a less chaotic way than Viktor does.

Singed only listens to german opera and children songs. The first one because he is evil and the second one because of Oriana.

I would like to mention the naming patterns in arcane

I've watched the first season of arcane 3 times, and the second one twice, and I've can't remember the last name of any Zaunite to save my life

Piltovians: Jayce Talis, Caitlyn Kiramman, Mel Medarda*, and the late council members*, Cassandra Kiramman, Cecil Heimerdinger, Torman Hoskel, and Irius Bolbok

*Mel Medarda is a Noxian, but was introduced to us as a council member of Piltover, so I will still count her

*It seems that "Salo" is the councilman's full name, as the Arcane Wiki (Fandom though it be) and google had no other name for him, so I will not be counting him

This is the opposite for the Zaunites though

Vi, Jynx, Silco, Vander, Sevika, Isha, Ekko, Viktor, Sky (Viktor's assistant who was in 2 episodes)

I don't think this was a mistake on the writers' part, rather I think it's another way they show the disparity between topside and bottom. Last names are typically denotations of status, as many things in Piltover are run by families, every member of which would typically share the same last name (e.g. the Kirammans).

I think the writers wanted to show that the typical Zaunite had very little power, as the people in power in the under city are crime lords who have been in power for years and will stay in power until they die or are killed (all of Silco's crime lord buddies) because the have the money and the influence to do so.

So at the end of the day, I think the way that the Zaunites have no last names wasn't a mistake by the writers, but an intentional choice to show the way that Piltovians and Zaunites differ in power and influence.

Jayce & Viktor are obviously partners, with Jayce being the meister & Viktor the weapon. Viktor has a very closed-off soul & finds it near impossible to partner with anyone other than Jayce (ala Soul). Jayce has a very large, kinetic soul-wavelength that he can use to attack sans his weapon ala Black☆Star, though he wouldn't necessarily want to. He has an easier time pairing up with other people compared to Viktor, but most other weapons would find his wavelength overwhelming. Jayce grew up in Death City with his mother. They're probably the first of their class to make a Death Scythe. I absolutely see the two of them getting into a Maka-&-Soul-esque dilemma where Jayce develops a complex around needing to protect Viktor at all costs, despite it being the weapon's job to protect their meister. The handle of Viktor's hammer-form takes on the aesthetic qualities of whatever cane he's using at the time.

Caitlyn is the first meister in Kiramman family history (maybe she gets it from Tobias's side?) & her deciding to pursue this path has created a rift between she & Cassandra. Caitlyn & Jayce hit it off during their first week at the DWMA & she was extremely disappointed to find out he wasn't a weapon. Caitlyn goes through her entire first semester without having chosen a weapon before Death Scythe Grayson reccomends she pair up with Vi; the two of them never would have seriously considered the other before, but they work like a charm. Maybe they eventually have a little breakup arc where their partnership dissolves & Caitlyn picks up Maddie as her new weapon, but they can't resonate the same way she & Vi could.

Vi & Powder are kind of a combination of the Thompson sisters & the Nakatsukasa siblings. Like Liz & Patty, they're both modern firearms. But whereas Vi only has one form (a rifle) like Masamune, Powder is a multi-form weapon like Tsubaki; she can turn into a handgun, a canon, a grenade, a time-bomb, etc. Vi lowkey wishes she were a meister so that she & Powder could've been partners, & has a bit of an inferiority complex about not being a good enough weapon. The two of them were taken in & raised by the DWMA along with Ekko. Maybe their parents were all meisters and/or weapons who were killed by witches or something. Powder absolutely gets injected with Black Blood at some point. At some point before either of them had official partners, Jayce & Vi tried to pair up & it was an absolute disaster (their souls are like the immovable object vs the unstoppable force, lol).

Ekko is a meister & Powder's partner. The two of them decided to be a pair before they were even officially enrolled at the DWMA. Ekko has a grigori soul (ala Maka), which helps to counteract Powder's madness post-Black Blood infusion. If they ever formed a team of weapon-meister pairs like Spartoi, then Ekko would definitely be the leader. Powder worries that she's dragging Ekko's as a meister potential down with her.

Mel has a Stein-esque soul, in that she can meister any weapon with ease &, like Jayce, can fight without a weapon (she's more adept & eager to do so than Jayce is). Her most common weapon partner is Elora, & sometimes Sky (I definitely see Sky having Marie's healing wavelength). Maybe Elora is killed in battle (sorry girl) or decommissioned some other way, & Sky becomes Mel's primary weapon after that? The Medarda's are a long, unbroken line of prodigious meisters & weapons, & Mel definitely feels the weight of that legacy. Mel is revealed to be part witch ala Kim.

Viktor and Blitzcrank

// I'm not having it! 😂 I love the idea of inventor and invention, and how they share a rather interesting, almost human connection between them. I will be going over my headcanon's for Viktor's past heavily inspired by his old lore - because I still think it's important to remember who League-Viktor was before Arcane changed him almost entirely. I will write a full timeline for him soon!

Viktor wasn't discovered by Piltovian scientists until he was nineteen (by Stanwick in his old lore, now Heimerdinger in new lore) - so what did he do before that to catch their eyes?

According to his old lore, Viktor was very keen on helping the workforces of Zaun to avoid accidents/deaths in dangerous environments. Further into this lore, it states that after the Chem-forge gave him a chance, he had lowered the accident rates to 0% within a month thanks to his inventions. This caught the eye of other businesses that also started to request his aid.

Always keen to expand on his abilities and now having a chance to make a real difference to the people of Zaun, Viktor continued to create more machines and automatons to help those who needed it. As an older teen/young man, Viktor came across an old steam golem.

Golems used to be used throughout Zaun, designed to clear toxic waste and to enter environs too dangerous for people - but they largely had suffered from caustic damage and went unused.

Viktor, believing these golems could be of use again with just a tweak to their designs, managed to find help to drag the machine back to his makeshift laboratory where he worked on it tirelessly.

In the old lore, Blitzcrank was brought to life due to Hextech - named after the lightning effect Blitz gave off. Since Hextech hasn't been invented at this point in Viktor's life, Blitzcrank's improvements were purely down to Viktor's intelligence in the automaton field. Blitzcrank was programmed, but had developed their own intelligence over the weeks and months.

Viktor instructed Blitzcrank to help those who were in toxic areas - such as chemical spills or gas leaks - that would have been dangerous for others to rush into. Blitzcrank was a great success, but often couldn't understand the requests they got from Viktor or other Zaunites. Couldn't get into your home? Blitzcrank may smash down your door.

Viktor had sent Blitzcrank into a neighbourhood that was suffering - the robot soon discovered the source; a chemical runoff coming from a factory. Taking Viktor's request too far, Blitzcrank tried to rid the area of pollution by completely destroying the factory. This factory belonged to a very dangerous Chem-Baron (let's say Renata Glasc for funsies).

Viktor may not have seen Blitzcrank off - but had heard of their good deeds here and there. So had a Piltover scientist, who took a keen interest in the nineteen year old inventor that created the most dedicated, caring, hardworking Golem Zaun had ever known...

Knowing Blitzcrank would continue to learn, and continue to do good work whilst he was away, Viktor bid farewell to Zaun to further his prowess even more in the City of Progress.

So if a Mel and Caitlyn pair up defeats a dictator and wins a war (at least the first part), a Vi and Jayce team up only ever kills kids or fucks up a mission, and l then what does a Jinx and Viktor pair do? What do the other options make?

Here are my ideas, ranking from best outcome to worst or what actually gets done.

Genuinely think a Viktor Mel pair (depending on if they both have some sort of magic) save the world. Both incredibly intelligent. Both caring but can’t be manipulated by emotions easily (influenced is a different story but damn when you’ve got a terminal illness or a dictator mom it’s hard being normal). However I think the arcane writers knew the team up would be too powerful. Also incredibly sexy. If they just had tea together once I think there would be no arcane story to tell.

Cait and Viktor. Not a lot getting done but if we’re thinking season 1 then it’s gonna be so nice and calm. They’re having tea. They’re planning our improvements for Zaun. A harp sings in the distance. They talk about Jayce. Caitlyn asks questions and listens to the answers and vice versa. World peace maybe not achieved but close.

Technically Jayce helped Cait free Vi and helped cover it up, as well as help her when Caitlyn tried explaining what was going on with Silco. Very even results. Nothing major changing here but typical for people who literally just bring out nothing in each other besides…friendship? Siblings? Idk.

Vi and Viktor would probably get along in the sense of they knew an older Zaun. (At least in comparison to Jinx.) Vi can be pretty gentle and Viktor definitely cares. Battle wise he ain’t gonna do much (the only time he really fought was when it wasn’t a good thing for anyone) but he’s bring the smarts to Vi’s streets. They’re gonna win the battle but it will be tough. Some lives may be lost but it ain’t theirs.

Mel and Vi….Vi does not like politicians. Vi does not like people from Piltover beyond Caitlyn (and maybe Jayce?) They argue the whole time. Nothing bad happens but nothing gets done. It’s mostly Vi’s fault but Mel can’t let it go. It’s been three days and they haven’t left the council room. It ends with the mutual agreement to never meet again.

Technically a Cait/Jinx pair saved Vi (after the commune) and also the conversation they had in the jail was actually civil. Don’t think a whole lot is getting done but a good battle buddies I think. There’s gonna be tension though. Lots of arguing and glares. Caitlyn’s hair is now orange and Jinx lost another finger. Lots more damage than necessary.

Mel and Jinx. Someone is dying. It might not be one of them but it’s definitely someone who shouldn’t be dead. Mel’s level-headedness barely works on Vi and it definitely won’t work on Jinx. She’s never had a younger sister. Jinx knows what buttons to push. The building is on fire.

Jayce and Jinx. Mostly everyone is dead except for Vi and Viktor somehow, or the exact reverse. They haven’t stopped arguing since they met. They just keep slapping each other like cats. Jayce keeps trying to hit her with the hammer but she’s elusive and it’s like a game of wack-a-mole. He kills a kid each time instead. Jinx won’t stop making fun of him. Someone lost a limb at some point.

Jinx and Viktor. Everyone is dead. I would say they are too but no, they’re stuck at the end of the universe with each other. It’s equally both their faults. Viktor deadnames her every time she insults him. She never stops and neither does he. They each have a shrine to their respective loved one and it’s the only places they don’t bother each other. She bleached half his hair. He poured out her nail polish. They fight till the end of time itself. Sometimes they have movie nights where their respective hallucinations (Silco, Sky) join.

i love these “he should’ve been at the club” posts. because to me, the epitome of that is jayce talis. once he got even a little bit well-known, the people of piltover probably wondered why he wasn’t at the club.

but he was not. this hot young man was doing a science and a magic and hanging out with the 2 people he liked, maybe 3 once they hired sky.

Blitzcrank sees Viktor as their father figure and refers to him as Father.

As Blitzcrank is Arcane based and "powered" by Hextech/probable offcuts of the Hexcore.

They see Sky as their mother figure, and Jayce as a second father figure; so they will refer to them as Mother and Papa, respectively.

(This may only be private; or out in public if Blitzcrank correctly gauges, they are comfortable with those names in public.)

Sky deserves more recognition for having to work with these two dorks. Between the respective traumas, the stubborn obsessive personalities and the subtext, I honestly don't know how she survived.

Impromptu headcanon that they had other assistants before her, and none of them could hack it. Arrived so excited to work with THE Jayce Talis (and that other guy who looks like a drowned cat but apparently he's super important?) and left via the nearest window with several new scars and a lot of stories to tell.

But yes, Sky deserves a medal and possibly a statue. Also to not be dead, but we can't have everything.
