Viktor's Sexuality
// Figured I'd get this out of the way early; this blog depicts Viktor as ASEXUAL. But not AROMANTIC.
// Further details below; explaining my thought processes, evidence based conclusions and how other muses can interact with Viktor. To note; this is NOT because of the Linke interview and I'm not interested in the "controversy" on this blog. This is not a discussion.
// If it puts anyone's minds at rest, this is a headcanon I've held for Viktor since I watched season 1. He always gave me these asexual vibes which only grew as I watched season 2. Some proof of such can be found here, on a post I made on the 18th November before the reveal. I said, and I quote "Somewhere on the asexuality spectrum, but not necessarily AroAce." I'm sticking with that.
// Viktor isn't touch-repulsed - however he's very restrictive when it comes to him touching others. Throughout Arcane, Jayce is very touchy with Viktor - and he accepts and welcomes it. Hands/arms on and around the shoulders, pats on the back, assisting him up when wanted, hugs - all these things Viktor accepts. But rarely gives back. If you look, he only reciprocates touch three times in the whole series. When Jayce first hugs him when he's reborn from the arcane chrysalis (even then I think he's just stunned, it seems almost awkward), holding Sky's hands before she leaves and of course the beautiful moment before he and Jayce sacrifice themselves at the end.
// When it comes to romantic feelings, I believe Viktor can feel them, but doesn't necessarily act on them because he's fixated elsewhere. On this blog specifically, I'm going to be extremely picky with ships simply because I find it difficult with this character due to these vibes from him. So please don't be annoyed or take it personal if I want to discuss any possible ships/chemistry first.
// So where does this lead in terms of JayVik and SkyVik specifically? I'm not against romantic attraction from Viktor with either Jayce or Sky. Just not sexual. I do personally prefer QPR JayVik because I think it's beautiful and a rarity to be done to this degree in modern media. But I can fully understand why people ship them sexually - just do not force this on me. I will not reciprocate. Platonic SkyVik is also preferred but I don't mind dabbling in a romantic sense. Again, I'd like to discuss it first.
// Linke, nor the creative team overall, never specified where on the asexual spectrum Viktor lies, but I feel his sexual drive is extremely low - almost non-existent. Before anyone gets angry: although it is of course a myth that all disabled people are asexual - doesn't mean there aren't any asexual people with disabilities. I don't think Viktor should be invalidated just because people want to fight against this myth. The disability never really got in his way - nor did it get in the way of others approaching/liking him - so I highly doubt the disability is the reason he's asexual. He's asexual, because he was born asexual. That's it.
// If this has upset anyone, I'm sorry. But thankfully, there are plenty of Viktor blogs here who can satisfy that part of your muse. If you're happy to continue, I'll be all the happier for it! And I'll be thankful for respecting my depiction.
#ooc; ~out of cores~#~headcanon~#figured I'd get this one out the way#honestly terrified to post this considering how TOXIC a majority has been towards ace-Viktor so...we'll see how this goes

Clive Headcanon
// To warn first thing, this headcanon does discuss the death of a child, taking place during Karlach's time in Avernus. When I get to that point, I will put it under the Read More. I won't go into gruesome details of course, just that this event is significant.
// From what we know of D&D Lore concerning the timeline of BG3 and how it fits in with the wider lore - the Fall of Elterel happens DAYS before BG3 takes place.
// Hearing about how Zariel's deal with Kreeg resulted in the entire city of Elterel being dragged to Avernus, Karlach went along to witness it for herself. Naturally, many of the tieflings wanted to flee Avernus. Karlach, enraged at what happened to her fellow tieflings, defected from Zariel and attempted to aid their escape - planning on going with them.
// Wyll is set to find and kill Karlach for trying to flee.
// With Wyll and Zariel's armies on her tail, Karlach can only risk herself long enough to save some. One of the tieflings attempted to flee was a young child - clutching a stuffed bear. One of many who could not find, or lost, their parents. The child was too traumatised to speak, Karlach only able to communicate to them via the bear. It was the only word the child ever said. "Clive".
// Karlach tried to rush the large group to freedom but they were ambushed and separated. Some fleeing elsewhere. By the time Karlach defeated the squad and caught up, the stragglers were already dead - a worn out bear amongst the gore.
// Noting that this wasn't over, that more were on their way, Karlach fell into a white hot rage. She held back the oncoming onslaught of demons and beasts to give the remaining group a chance to run. This included Matis from Mol's group - in-game, you can speak to him with Karlach in the group and he will gush about her prowess. This was the battle he witnessed her fight - her last ditch effort to get them to safety.
// However, she missed her chance. She was still stuck in Avernus with the Blade of Frontiers not too far behind. She kept Clive close. Not just as a comfort - but as a reminder to not lose anyone ever again. To work even harder to save anyone and everyone - if she had the chance to do so...
// Inspired by the Mulan doll scene in the Disney animated adaptation, and this comic.

hc + 🤝
hc + 🤝 for a headcanon about a connection with one of the receiver's mutual
So I have to bring up @bigidiotenergy and their Odysseus. Because in that rp while we haven’t gotten to it yet we’ve talked about a found family with the faes and Ody’s.
Kiara becomes an advisor to Ody. Assisting him with his duties and giving advice.
Rose becomes one of his warriors and guards. Enjoying wandering the castle and frightening would be attackers.
And Lyra becomes their healer and overall emotional support fae. Often hiding Ody and his family under her wings when they need a break.

"So I remember one time Morgott was ranting about his family"
"Then he mentioned this: I have worked hard to get to where I am, whereas HE is galavanting around with that white masked sex slave"
"Was that about you and Lord Mohg? I think I get it when he mentioned the 'white masked' part"
Quoted from this comedy gold:
https://youtu.be/JWaDUpAOoh4
I love the abridged series, it's so fun and strangely accurate
"Allow me to make something very clear. I am no slave." His voice has a certain cold edge to it; he's clearly displeased by the suggestion. "I partook of The Blood willingly, I serve graciously, and I am rewarded accordingly. I am no mere concubine."
"That aside, Luminary Mohg does not seek lovers. He has already sworn himself as future Consort to The Divinity. Having His Blood within me is love enough, don't you think?"
((Mun's Note: Was he technically kidnapped into a cult? Yes. Was he manipulated to an extent? Yes. But also, It's Complicated. Varré views it like he was swept off his feet and shown a love he had been seeking his whole life. In the Mohgwyn Dynasty, Varré feels as if he is finally important, and that his sadism and other tendencies that were considered unsavory are not only tolerated but celebrated. Note how being important and having an impact on history is something he lords over the tarnished and also uses to lure them into joining him. It is both a cult recruitment tactic and also something Varré genuinely believes. Varré believes that as a follower of Mohg, he is loved. As for the sex thing, god, he wishes.))

Anonymous asked: Be honest... What do Cateline and Hanno act like when they're sick?
send me "be honest..." with a question your muse has been dying to ask mine and they'll answer truthfully.
// I feel this question sounds much better if answered not by my muses, but as a headcanon-thing, so do hope it's okay!
Hanno:
He's so used to taking care of himself, he's usually stubborn about asking for help when he's sick enough to need it. As such, he is not used to having company or anyone willingly tending to him. He would sometimes act more distant as well...He just honestly doesn't want others to be worried of him, as he knows that illnesses will fade away soon enough.
Cateline:
At times, Cateline acts more needy when she's sick, as she doesn't want to be alone and wishes to have some company. It doesn't help that she gets more frequent nightmares when she's in this state as well, which she honestly hates it. Yet she struggles to ask people to stay, since she doesn't want to disturb those who are helping her, or worse...make the other sick.

I love them so much! What amazes me most about the Sonic and Tails story is that Sonic was a kid himself when he decided to take on such responsibility. And I'm sure Sonic had to change his lifestyle one way or another. But... where did Sonic get a DAMN PLANE???

Damian starts showing interest in medical stuff and Alfred lightly comments, "just like his grandfather," and Bruce hums with a finger on his chin, "Ra's?" and Alfred gives him a look and THEN Bruce realises, oh his father. his side of the family. because he's the dad. for real this time. ohhhhh.

Viktor and Blitzcrank
Special thanks to @valiantthearts for the idea
// Due to the complete rewrite of Viktor's story in League of Legends, his more in-depth past has been eradicated. Including the creation of Blitzcrank - a fellow champion in the game.
// I'm not having it! 😂 I love the idea of inventor and invention, and how they share a rather interesting, almost human connection between them. I will be going over my headcanon's for Viktor's past heavily inspired by his old lore - because I still think it's important to remember who League-Viktor was before Arcane changed him almost entirely. I will write a full timeline for him soon!
// I'll be using direct references from League (thanks wayback machine) and some images too. I'll put it under the cut though because I'll probably ramble.
Viktor wasn't discovered by Piltovian scientists until he was nineteen (by Stanwick in his old lore, now Heimerdinger in new lore) - so what did he do before that to catch their eyes?
According to his old lore, Viktor was very keen on helping the workforces of Zaun to avoid accidents/deaths in dangerous environments. Further into this lore, it states that after the Chem-forge gave him a chance, he had lowered the accident rates to 0% within a month thanks to his inventions. This caught the eye of other businesses that also started to request his aid.
Always keen to expand on his abilities and now having a chance to make a real difference to the people of Zaun, Viktor continued to create more machines and automatons to help those who needed it. As an older teen/young man, Viktor came across an old steam golem.
Golems used to be used throughout Zaun, designed to clear toxic waste and to enter environs too dangerous for people - but they largely had suffered from caustic damage and went unused.
Viktor, believing these golems could be of use again with just a tweak to their designs, managed to find help to drag the machine back to his makeshift laboratory where he worked on it tirelessly.
In the old lore, Blitzcrank was brought to life due to Hextech - named after the lightning effect Blitz gave off. Since Hextech hasn't been invented at this point in Viktor's life, Blitzcrank's improvements were purely down to Viktor's intelligence in the automaton field. Blitzcrank was programmed, but had developed their own intelligence over the weeks and months.
Viktor instructed Blitzcrank to help those who were in toxic areas - such as chemical spills or gas leaks - that would have been dangerous for others to rush into. Blitzcrank was a great success, but often couldn't understand the requests they got from Viktor or other Zaunites. Couldn't get into your home? Blitzcrank may smash down your door.
Viktor had sent Blitzcrank into a neighbourhood that was suffering - the robot soon discovered the source; a chemical runoff coming from a factory. Taking Viktor's request too far, Blitzcrank tried to rid the area of pollution by completely destroying the factory. This factory belonged to a very dangerous Chem-Baron (let's say Renata Glasc for funsies).
Viktor may not have seen Blitzcrank off - but had heard of their good deeds here and there. So had a Piltover scientist, who took a keen interest in the nineteen year old inventor that created the most dedicated, caring, hardworking Golem Zaun had ever known...
Knowing Blitzcrank would continue to learn, and continue to do good work whilst he was away, Viktor bid farewell to Zaun to further his prowess even more in the City of Progress.

#ooc; ~out of cores~#~headcanon~#Jayce and Sky would probably know of ol' Blitz I'd imagine#viktor loves his robot buddy and you can take this dynamic from my cold dead fingers#writing this I'm trying to think of how Heimerdinger finding Viktor...yet hadn't been to Zaun in decades?#Its why he was ignorant to Zauns suffering - yet he went into Zaun randomly and found Viktor?#Think I might just fill it out a bit and still include Stanwick when I get on with Viktor's timeline#also - didn't a writer say Viktor had a second hand uniform and snuck into the Academy? How did he if Stanwick/Heimerdinger accepted him? H

Karlach's Act 3: rewritten
// So, as it stands, Karlach's Act 3 is extremely bittersweet or downright depressing. We either have; - Her death (the canon ending if not impacted) - Karlach returning to the place that tormented her with a slim chance of success (can do this alone in her Origin) - Becoming a mind flayer and eventually losing herself, but not before becoming what she fears most; lonely - Enthralled by someone who replaces the Absolute (and probably burn up not long after) - Killed in Act 1 as part of Wyll's mission
// Depressing. I want to give the chance to change that. Something a lot of us wish was available in the game. Using what was talked about in interviews and hinted at in game but never lead anywhere.
// I propose a rewritten Act 3. Making use of the connection she has to the Steel Watch / Foundry. Details below. If you are interested in RPing this verse with me, let me know!
The side quest triggers as you attempt to pass the Steel Watch at the gates to the Lower City. Just like we currently have, the unit will reognise Karlach as an out-of-date unit, and commands her to attend the Foundry. This speech will stay the same in game, only difference is it starts the quest line to investigate the Foundry out of Karlach's curiousity.
Upon entering the Foundry and with investigation and perception, can slowly piece together what happens here and how people are made into Steel Watchers - much like you can already in-game. - taken the prototype that made the bots we've seen in game so far and blueprints from Zariel - Kill the person, make them a zombie, infect the brain with a tadpole, put brains into the models and use the psychic connection to control them.
This provides not only more of a fury for Karlach towards Gortash for killing all these people, but also an odd connection to the Steel Watch. She would want them all destroyed as a way to free the poor souls trapped inside. She actually finds that more important that it making fighting Gortash easier - that's just the cherry on top.
However, as a rewrite, you can also find that Gondians had attempted to craft a hellfire element to the Steel Watch but were yet to perfect it - showing prowess in infernal mechanics. Giving Karlach the go ahead in her quest to talk to them.
PLAYER CHOICE:- Save the Gondians and try and see if they can help Karlach with the aid from Dammon? Avenge the Ironhands and destroy all chances of Karlach to find a fix for her engine. Karlach will leave the party.
If the player chooses to save the Gondians and stall the Ironhands, the Gondians promise to take what they can from the Fondry and follow the players guidance to seek out Dammon for aid as repayment for saving them, and their family (if completed the Iron Throne). Player can then dismantle the Foundry as they wish.
After returning to Dammon and donating three pieces of infernal iron - they will create a new heart for Karlach. Karlach's second fix will need to happen first, otherwise she is untouchable and cannot undergo surgery.
Excited, but nervous, the player can reassure Karlach to go through with the operation. Karlach will leave camp during the next long rest, is not visible at her tent during the night or the morning, but will appear again after talking to Dammon once again.
The operation was a success. Karlach appears in complete control of her flames (which is now part of her rage during fights, otherwise is off when not in battle) and over the moon to begin her new life.
Cured. Free.

hc + 🏠 for a home-themed headcanon
Lyra and Kiara’s first home was a cottage in the Veil with their mother. Magic surrounded them and the forest was filled with beautiful growth from their mother’s magic. Flowers, trees that grew to the sky, ivy climbing the walls of the cottage.
It was peaceful.
When their mother passed Kiara was taken to train in ice by her father. His domain only knew cold and cruelty. It was not home.
Lyra was sent to the human realm. Forced to move constantly and never able to truly make a home.
When Lyra finally finds a place to be safe she creates a home like the one she knew so long ago. Flowers around her house. Ivy climbing the walls. She tries to fill it with the warmth her mother’s held.
Kiara finds Lyra and her new home. Finds the peace and love she lost when they took her sister away. Kiara moves in with Lyra in the human realm. Their magic swirling and surrounding their home.

Lex Luthor hates Superman, Lex Luthor hates the Justice League, bla bla bla… You know who Lex must really hate? Bruce Wayne.
Because he knows that bitch is Batman. He’d worked it through that big brain of his and he’s without a doubt certain that the same idiot who spilled champagne on him last New Year’s Eve moonlights as the Batman.
But he can’t fucking prove it. So he’s resigned to a lifetime of having to make stilted conversation filled with double meaning while Brucie just flutters his eyelashes and pretends to be a ditz. And Lex just has to sit there and take it, because Bruce knows that Lex knows and absolutely uses that knowledge to fuck with Alex at every opportunity—he says the absolute shittest, godawful pickup lines and flirts to his heart’s content, knowing full well that he helped Superman kick Lex’s ass last week and that Lex knows it was him.
