when someone says they like "unhinged regulus" I'm expecting them to mean something like this:

Regulus being 14 and James being 15 and they're secretly together but James wants so bad for it to not be a secret and regulus knows this and he wishes he could do this for him but he also knows his parents would kill him if they knew. So, at the end of a Slytherin vs. Gryffindor quidditch match, regulus grabs James and kisses him in front of the entire school (including his friends, brother, James' friends, the teachers, their teams etc.) and afterwards he proceeds to obliviate every single fucking person, which takes up so much time and magical power and seems like it's not worth it but it was just to see the smile on James' face.

he feels like he's sweating even though he can't, and his scars feel itchy, and his stomach hurts, and his legs feel like jello, and the door is getting closer, or he's getting closer to door, and maybe, he should just explode.

you ring the doorbell to your parents house and squeeze his hand with a smile to try to comfort him.

honestly, it doesn't make him feel better. it makes him feel worse because you look like an angel and he can't believe he's dating someone 100 leagues above him, and your parents are gonna hate him.

but, he appreciates you trying to make him feel better.

he hears a "coming" from who he assumes is your mother. a few moments later the door opens and he comes face to face with—

I can't express how much I love the cafe scene. You see a really wide range of Lucanis' face animations and the cool things he expresses through them. Like, one moment, he's a shiny-eyed baby cow and the next his pupils are small, dark, and threatening. I would love to know *how* they did that. I'm not an animator, so it just looks like magic.

My brain just hit an old hyperfixation (is this what it's called? I hope I used the word right) and oh dear am I losing my mind now. I need to write a story I think. About this one old guy. He's unhinged. There's so much information about him and yet not enough. I want to explore his character so much. He's definitely a criminal - at least he was one - and I'm 95% sure he can do actual real magic, and he's a musician and an artist and an actor and a magician and a philosopher and a traveler and a conman and so much more and also I think he's some kind of immortal. Maybe he just has a VERY long life. It's strongly implied he was a pirate at some point of his life. He started a cult by accident several times. My conspiracy theories about him include him being a secret god.

He's also a freaking round blue raven. Someone save me from my mind.
