when someone says they like "unhinged regulus" I'm expecting them to mean something like this:

Regulus being 14 and James being 15 and they're secretly together but James wants so bad for it to not be a secret and regulus knows this and he wishes he could do this for him but he also knows his parents would kill him if they knew. So, at the end of a Slytherin vs. Gryffindor quidditch match, regulus grabs James and kisses him in front of the entire school (including his friends, brother, James' friends, the teachers, their teams etc.) and afterwards he proceeds to obliviate every single fucking person, which takes up so much time and magical power and seems like it's not worth it but it was just to see the smile on James' face.

I can't express how much I love the cafe scene. You see a really wide range of Lucanis' face animations and the cool things he expresses through them. Like, one moment, he's a shiny-eyed baby cow and the next his pupils are small, dark, and threatening. I would love to know *how* they did that. I'm not an animator, so it just looks like magic.

Wip dump.
