Remus felt sort of bad for Lily at the way the boys all deflated when it had been her who opened the door to your shared flat instead of you. Thankfully, the red-head just laughed and invited them all in.

“Sorry to disappoint boys.” She jested as they all made themselves at home on your couch.

“Oh, we’re always happy to see you, Lily.” James said at the same time as Sirius grumbled “you should be”, earning him a pinch in the ribs by Remus.

“Hey!” Lily called down the hall. “The boys are here!”

Remus winced at a painful sounding thump and a muffled. “Okay thanks! I’m almost ready!”

The boys were very excited, if James’ knee bouncing and Sirius’ impish smirk wasn’t obvious enough. Lily had been gushing about how sweet her new roommate was and how she thought you’d get along really well with the group of friends, and she’d been right. You came to two pub nights and the boys were hooked; constantly asking Lily for updates and if you’d be at the next one.

Lily had grown so tired of playing messenger that she asked you if she could give them your phone number, to which you had agreed.

The four of you had been in a group chat for nearly a month and a half before they felt brave enough to ask you out on an official date.

“Where are you guys going tonight?” Lily asked as she sat in an armchair in the living area where the boys were waiting.

“We’re going to the pub on 42nd.” James answered readily. 

“The one with the board games and vintage video games?” Lily clarified. 

“Yup. That way there’s something for us to do if conversation lulls, and something for James to do with his hands.” Sirius explained teasingly, causing James to blush and lean into his side as if he were trying to hide inside of Sirius’ smaller frame.

“Don’t tease the lad.” Lily admonished playfully. “He’s already likely nervous enough. I don’t think you lot have to worry about tonight though; conversation never lulls with her around.”

Remus tilted his head in bemusement at Lily’s comment but never got to ask for clarification before he heard some muttering.

“Would you stop that?” He could hear you mutter quietly; barely any ire detected in your tone.

“Please don’t do this, I’m already late.” You begged before a big crash took place. “For fuck’s sa- why.” 

“You’re not allowed to get ready with me anymore.” You declared to your bedroom. Remus shared a look with Sirius and James before turning towards Lily who only shook her head and brought her finger to her lips. 

“Don’t look at me like that!” You carried on. “If you want to be here to see me off, you need to behave yourself.”

It was quiet for a few moments. “No, knocking over my jewelry stand is not behaving.”

They listened to you shuffling around before you let out a big sigh. “I love you too, but you are stressing me out. Do you want to watch shows with Lily tonight while I’m gone? Hm? Let’s go ask.”

Finally, you exited your room and made your way down the hall, entering the living area before pausing to take in the fact that the four occupants of your flat were all staring at you with varying levels of bemusement and amusement. 

And trotting happily behind you was a small cat seemingly none the wiser to the fact that it just made its mistress look like a fool in front of her dates.

You chuckled awkwardly. “How much did you hear?”

Lily snorted and pat her legs as an invitation for your feline friend, who happily agreed, hopping and curling up on the red-head’s lap. 

“Enough to know that knocking over your jewelry stand is not behaving.” Sirius teased salaciously. 

You groaned and moved to cover your face with your hands, but James was having none of that and quickly made for you.

“Don’t hide that beautiful face from us; it’d be a shame if the only one who got to appreciate your date night look was your cat.” He commented as he gently pulled your hands away from your face.

You still looked awfully embarrassed but acquiesced. “A bad cat, at that.” You spat to the ball of fur currently sitting with your roommate without any real malice. 

“Oi!” Lily defended quickly, brushing broad strokes over the cat like the villain from Austin Powers. “Don’t speak ill of Princess Bernadette the Third.”

“Princess Bernadette?” Sirius asked bewilderedly at the same time as James murmured “the Third?”

“Birdie, Lily. My cat’s name is Birdie.” You corrected, not at all amused. 

Lily raised her nose in the air. “When we stay home to watch Bridgerton without you lot, she’s Princess Bernadette the Third. Now off with you, we have Ball’s to attend, and you have gentlemen to court.” 

Remus watched with a loving smile as you flushed furiously at that, laughing when it only deepened as Sirius suddenly stood and made his way for you, bowing with a flourish and pressing a kiss to your knuckles. “Shall we, m’lady?”

You gave him an eye roll but Remus could tell it was mostly for show as you bore a sickeningly sweet smile and accepted James’ elbow as you made your way to the door.

“Have fun you guys!” Lily called towards the door as Remus bent down to scritch Birdie on the chin.

“You too, Princess Bernadette, Princess Lillith.” He offered with his most posh accent and a quick bow before joining his two boyfriends and their date at the door.

(Follow-up to the SFW Prewar!Coop headcanons I posted here.)

I've said this before, but I firmly believe that this man doesn't sleep. Based on what we've seen about ghouls over the course of the franchise, I think that food, water, and sleep are basically optional; something that helps them feel and run better, but not things they can't survive without. With sleep comes vulnerability, both physical vulnerability and the vulnerability of being subjected to dreams. Cooper doesn't want to dream. His unconscious brain isn't nearly as good at shoving all the unpleasant things he doesn't want to think about down as his conscious brain is. The only true "sleep" he gets is when he's been knocked unconscious, whether that be by some enemy of the Wasteland or by one too many substances. He still will typically pick a spot to stop for 5-6 hours a night, put his feet up, get a little extra intoxicated. Sometimes he rests his eyes and feigns sleep when things feel especially calm.

He is a YAPPER! I've seen so many people theorize that for season 2 Lucy is gonna talk The Ghoul's ear off on their walk to New Vegas...I respectfully disagree. Have you ever met an old man? They never shut the fuck up at the best of times and this one has been without real companionship for so long; now that he's got an audience, he's never without something to say. I mean, the man was fancy waterboarding Lucy and standing there monologuing about some shit he read in the newspaper 200 years ago because he's lonely.

This man will absolutley start falling in love with you if you get ANY of his jokes or weird little references he makes to shit that hasn't existed in forever. Even if that's the first time he has positive feelings towards you, he's officially on that path. It would be a moment of genuine human connection, the kind he hasn't felt in so long. Even if it's innocuous, the poor thing is immediately gonna be a little obsessed with you.

Have fun if he DOES start falling in love with you, because initially it'll make him even more unpleasant than he usually is. He's confused at first, then he's annoyed by it when he realizes what he's feeling. He's gone this long without having to deal with that on top of everything else. Both emotions come with a hearty side of frustration and anger, as well as a general defensiveness you won't be able to wrap your brain around until his (reciprocated) feelings eventually come to light.

Marriage doesn't really exist in the same form he knew before, but if he was serious about you, he'd still wanna marry you. Depending on where you come from, whether you're a vault dweller or not, you might not even fully understand what he's asking when he proposes (which he would definitely still scrounge up a ring for, by the way; it wouldn't feel right to him if he didn't give you one). He takes it just as seriously as he took it the first time, and he's determined to be the husband he knows he's capable of being to you.

Not a headcanon so much as a musing, I suppose, but hear me out: what if the duster he wears is from the first person he ever cannibalized (or something similar)? Much to wonder about.

WRITING WARNINGS: potentially a warning for stalking but like in the way that we see he does with buffy like idunno if that qualifies as stalking but i’m mentioning it, technically i refer to angelus (my bby) as well, some violence but like it’s protective angel and oh yeah a small bit of NSFW CONTENT.

oh the moment he saw you, he was hooked and angelus who was so far hidden back in his mind had let his obsessive qualities come full force into angel.

everywhere at night since then, if he ever caught your scent or saw you, he would ✨ politely ✨ follow you around to make sure you felt and were safe. god help anyone who made you not feel safe at all, excluding him.

this man, even without fully having met you as of yet, would physically harm or potentially “accidentally” kill someone if they dare touch you even with a slight bumping into you or make you even the slightest bit uncomfortable.

realistically as i’ve noticed in btvs and angel the series + my own personal headcanon, angelus isn’t a 100% gone like they tend to try and portray in both series. sure like angel has his soul most of the time but that anger? how he moves or snaps when he loses his mind? how he seems to not entirely be himself when he loses control? that’s all angelus in my opinion. i personally headcanon had angel knows that angelus is always lurking in the back of his head, which is why he’s always in there, and angel is afraid of him coming out but as we’ve seen in both series that he basks in people referring to him as angelus sometimes and gets cocky about it.

so we move on with the knowledge that angelus is a sneaky bastard hiding in angel’s mind and sometimes pulling the strings 🫡

the obsession that angel has with you is completely different than his obsession with drusilla. he wouldn’t want to make you crazy or do anything to harm you. in fact, it’s the opposite, he wants to keep you safe from everybody and everything but also let you shine like the prettiest diamond in the dirty rough world that you’ve found yourself in.

the moment that he officially meets you and gets to see your pretty eyes staring into his own, the pretty smile upon your face, and your sweet voice talking to him ; he feels like this is perfectly meant to be. that you were meant for him and him only. he gets even more possessive and cocky about you from this moment forward. i’m referring to him being cocky as in, when buffy chose angel over riley and he smugly made that face at riley as he followed buffy like a puppy out of the room.

speaking of like a puppy, he tends to act that way with you! he’s your sweet good old boy who has playful tendencies and some anger problems but he does good if you try to teach him how to behave. after all, when he was alive as liam, he wasn’t exactly the nicest person to anybody let alone any partner. but he’s learned over the years, both with his soul and without it as angelus, that he has to be better when attempting to care. you are the only one who gets to teach him and show him how to be a good lover as you notice he’s trying, not to mention he will open up and explain how he was prior to you with his past relationships.

you like gifts? he’ll be very good at gifting you random things that he finds and knows you like or that you may potentially like based on what he knows about you. considering he listens and hangs on to every word that you say even if it’s a joke. if you like written love letters? oh my goodness this man has got you. he can say some of the most romantic things to you in his letters plus it’s more “old school” and easy for him to do. you’ll get some heavy devotion confessed in those letters so you better keep them in that pretty little wooden box that he buys you once he realized you left those letters by your bed <3

he’s a very gentle lover to you and not super controlling over you but he does know how to manipulate you / persuade you if he desperately needs to but you can usually tell and i feel like you’d call him angelus when he tries to do that. both himself and angelus are at your beck and call, even if neither one of them could admit it. now i can ramble on about soft angel and soft angelus some more but i feel like we should briefly get into some of the other good nsfw stuff 😈

angel is always in control no matter how hard you try to be in control. he is so used to being in control whenever he was angelus that he grasps at being in control over you whenever you have sexual relations, outside of that basically you are in control.

i feel like angel is a very gentle lover and of course definitely is experienced which can lead into him being a lot to take in / wrap your head around as he can be overwhelming with how much devotion and love he gives you. he pays nearly so much attention to you, it may freak you out with how sensitive he is when it comes to your micro expressions and movements. his goal is to ensure that you experience everything in the most euphoric sense.

angelus is a good boy once you break him down enough, and as i previously stated, happens to always be in control and if you take your time along with playing his games you will be rewarded overtime with him being your good boy to treasure. angelus wants you to perceive his role in life and break him down, play games with him, leave him sounding like a depraved lunatic man for you.

the pair of them love you so much and would do anything for you, especially in bed, just let them love you how they see fit damnit!

The Louis cancellation. Asian leg was to start in about a week. About 15 hours ago, the promoter posted a bare bones announcement - tour cancelled across all of Asia, refunds will be issued. (There were rumors about this bouncing around twitter yesterday, which is its own problem.) No other info. in that initial announcement. NOTHING from LTHQ or Louis himself. Went about 12 hours before we heard anything. Then it was LTHQ with a post on his official website — we’re sorry, Louis really wanted to do this, and basically nothing else. Still nothing from Louis.

1) people are understandably concerned about Louis and those close to him. Sure he drinks and smokes, but he’s a professional when it comes to touring. Just like Niall. Louis broke his arm twice this past year, kept touring. Fulfilled a performance commitment three days after his mother died Not saying this is exceptional among performers, but just saying this really is unprecedented for Louis.

2) people are pissed at LTHQ. No matter what is going on with Louis, and pls let it be nothing awful, but regardless, the delay in LTHQ’s response is inexcusable. Disrespectful to fans and just pathetic. Their statement should’ve gone out at the same time as the promoter’s announcement. Even if they were ambushed by the announcement, unlikely since twitter knew, it shouldn’t have taken 12 hours to put out a short, basic PR blurb that contained zero substantive info. A high school intern could’ve written it in ten minutes. Not that we have a right to all details, esp with personal stuff, but the content was so basic there is zero excuse for the delay.

3) again, really hoping it’s nothing personal, but pics unveiling new tattoos came out a couple days ago. If and only if nothing bad happened personally between then and the cancellation announcement, it’s not ok he hasn’t posted. He will fully deserve criticism around it.

Damn that is some mess! I understand why people are upset tbh. Especially because you didn't even get an explanation. Like I remember Shawn mendes canceling part of his tour and he posted about feeling anxious and overwhelmed and not being in a good headspace to tour and everyone understood. But with this... Also the lack of announcement from him first is weird... Or at least to me but maybe it's because I experienced niall canceling his tour when covid hit and he was the one to announce it and apologise and everything. After religiously reloading the wiki page until the official but unofficial starting time, I have now seen the cast on the wiki and my only words are oh no. The fact that three names on my tribe already have filled out wiki pages means that they’re returnees which is dangerous to begin with. Two seem to be only from 15 which is a slight relief, though judging from his wiki bio and what I’ve seen of his games thus far, I’m very worried about Raffy.

Multiple games on Stings alone, has hosted multiple times (again stings alone) and is “seen consistently as a big threat in the merge.” So I either align myself so tight with him that I’m dependent or I find a way to remove him from the game early. We’ll see how that goes, fingers crossed we aren’t the first to go to tribal council. Also worrying me is this gem from his wiki page.

Oh my gosh this is all so exciting and also overwhelming!!! I feel like I'm second guessing every decision I make already, and the game literally just started.

I think our tribe is going to rock this first challenge, though. I didn't want to be the one to suggest making a spreadsheet (because...second guessing everything) so I'm glad AJ did to keep everything organized!

So it's the end of Day 1, and I'm so curious how things will shake out. I reached out to Jinx pretty quickly and hopefully they don't think I'm moving too fast right out the gate, but I had to tell them their introduction literally made me snort. We didn't get to talk a lot but I'm hoping to develop that relationship a bit.

Clefford reached out to me pretty quickly as well. I'm a little hesitant about him-- he's wearing a buff in his photo and he was quick to tell me he's played before and that we should team up. On the one hand, it's nice to have someone be so up front about game play...but on the other hand, it feels really fast and I have to wonder if he's saying the same thing to all the girlies. He also immediately asked me who I was vibing with, and the game just started so I just told him I've only chatted a bit with Jinx. He mentioned he likes AJ, so I suggested a group chat. But then immediately second-guessed making it because the game JUST started and I don't want them to think I'm forcing them into an alliance immediately. Hopefully this doesn't screw me over. And numbers wise, there's only 4 of us in it so we need more to have the numbers advantage.

Esteban reached out to me as well, which I was so happy about. He's one of the 3 (including Toni, who I haven't had a chance to chat with, and Jinx) that I was most excited to chat with and potentially ally with. I was moments away from asking him if he'd like to join our chat as a 5th member, but then he said he was glad we were having such a genuine chat and not talking game play, so... we'll pause on that one. But I'm ending today feeling like I'm in an okay place!

I am worried that I'm the only one who's really going for the individual scavenger hunt challenge, but maybe people won't notice?

First of all, I felt really excited about the challenge but I was so nervous after seeing the list. I can only find few items in the list. I had a lot of fun in collecting my items and for that's the most important thing.

Theme: It's day one and i'm already feeling anxious. =/

My game plan was to coast but i'm not sure if that's going to work haha. These challenges require quite a bit of communication and because it's all online its hard to just coast. Right Now, I'm really connecting with Jinx and Trinica as we're a similar age and have similar life experiences. Esteban has also been chatting with me in the DMs but i'm not sure about him yet as I'm yet to find something genuine that we connect on... i'm sure we'll find it - i'm sure he's lovely too! AJ is a very type A personality which I like because i'm also an undercover type A personality which means I can leave the overt leadership to her and "lead from the back". I'm not sure I can necessarily "work with" a strong type A though because you quickly realise your decisions are not your own and it makes it harder to balance between being completely unseen or just being barely noticeable which is the plan for this first portion of the game.

Conclusions on my read of people's personality is yet to be confirmed. It's only day one. Open to anything right now but also trying to be vigilant.

My plan right now: Continue connecting with J and T while also contributing to leadership from behind. There are 10 people in our tribe so if I can work with at least 3 other people consistently we'll have good numbers. I'll wait it out this week but next week I plan on creating a DM for Me, Jinx and Trinica + (one more person).

Some of the items of the list really made me think like A LOT. I was beginning to question what falls into the bug category - "Is a snail a bug?" takes photo just in case. "Are ants a bug?" takes photo just in case hahah. In my head was just circling around the movie "A bug's life" and just seeing what I could find. I did try to stand still for a photo of a butterfly but that was a tough one to grab a photo of.

I did my first idol hunt and hit a dead end...immediately. Imagine my surprise when AJ reached out and said she wants me to idol hunt with her 😳 I was shocked because Clefford was the one who brought AJ into our Cool People group, and when I've tried to chat with her privately I felt like she was holding her cards very close to her chest. But she asked me to go to the merge with her, and though she wasn't someone I was planning on allying with initially because I'm worried she's making herself a target with how active she is in the main chat, it's always good to have a secret alliance in your pocket. Hopefully it's one I can trust!

Let’s talk about HIDRA TRIBE. So last night after all casts was added to the group, Jay dropped the first challenge and it’s a SCAVENGER HUNT. Most are really so hyped to do the tasks (especially the newbies) they went thrust it right away. Duly noted AJ, TRINICA, BETHANY, TYLER and CLEFFORD right away picked some tasks that they can do. Which is good. Unfortunately, your boy, me is kinda busy partying last night. So i tolled them SORRY I couldn’t do much tonight. And just like that MISS JINX called me saying STOP APOLOGIZING. Lol. THEY are starting!!!! They are starting! But I am gonna keep it cool and be nice to them until it’s time to bid goodbye.

CLEFFORD - my homeboy, BUNSO (younger brother), as he called KUYA (older brother), right away we talked a bit and assuring our relationship to work together. I pushed him to create an alliance of POC (Asian boys) with azri. He created one and called it LANGIT (means heaven). I trust him for now, but base on his last game i know that he is a dangerous player. A strategic one. And loyal to none but himself.

AJ - seems to be the likable one. He take the the lead and hype to be on the game. I can sense an ADELINE vibe with her. We talked most of the time. When i asked her who she is closely connected to she is kinda skeptical and secretive to answer.

Trinica - you can not not like TRINICA. They are lovely and fun to talk to. We talked about life and all. They and their wife wanting to go back to their homeland for honeymoon is so sweet. I am feeling good with her tbh. I am thinking AJ and Trinica would probably work together (like a Meghan and Melissa vibe I am getting) so i wanna be the 3rd of them again. Lol

JINX - i have an on / off feeling with her. I wanna work closely with her coz i don’t wanna be against here. She is fierce. I like it and i don’t like it at the same time. CLEFFORD and Jinx are kinda have an old relationship but idk if they figured that out and start afresh. With that i wanna be with them too. Just the 3rd again.

Bethany - my Patagonia majesty. I would really love to work with her now!. After a failed (not much actually) relationship on our previous game i wish we can work together this time. Though i am kinda skeptical if he might throw my name and be against me. IDK. This time will try to keep them feel a good vibe. She might be also working with Trinica and AJ. Just the vibe. They seems fit to each other.

Toni - i love my majesty from England. We talked a bit later like morning after the first night but i love her vibe right away. She is kind and upfront on asking who am i vibing as of now. I am sensing that she is a smart lad and should watch for

Azri - i talk less with him but i am making sure that we have a genuine connecting. I learned some bahasa Indonesia before that is kinda same with Malaysian language so that is where i start my connection with him.

Tyler - I played with him once. That is in a mini game survivor (a live one) we started working together (thanks to king Brayden) we made it to top 3 and unfortunately RAFFY screw as up. But, hey this is the best way to continue the short-lived relationship we had before. So fingers cross!

Timeskip time Alright it’s afternoonish the next day and I actually did all the reward items. I’m so proud of myself for the reward items and for the tribe with how we’ve come together through this! I really hope we don’t lose, and I can only hope our organization and proofing will be what’s saved us in the end.

Omg I really hope we can pull this off. We’re getting so close to at least 50. That’s 90% of this done. I’m really hoping the other tribe had miserable luck with the painting and weren’t as organized as us.

Right now, my tribal thoughts are focused on voting Fifi out. She did not know when the deadline was nor did she submit anything for the challenge. Initially, it was going to be JayJay since they were inactive on the first day, but they really came through in the challenge. I am going to try to push for Fifi on that basis. Hopefully, it doesn't make me a target early on. I have been very transparent that I am a returnee because lying is just not going to be a part of my game this time around. I am really, really, really going to try to be nice and hero-like. Let's see how long that lasts.

whew! that was a crazy first challenge! i was busy in the morning with parent duties so i didn't get to much of the scavenger hunt (S.H.) until early afternoon. i was so excited to see how much everyone was getting into it. however, when i saw Fifi said she wasn't going to be able to submit pictures until tomorrow, my jaw almost hit the floor. she essentially admitted to everyone that she had no idea what was going on. i am having really good conversations with Arvin, Hairie, Raffy, Brandi, and Julia, and from what i can tell, we all think Fifi is the one that needs to go. we just don't have much else to judge people on. and because of that, plus the fact that i got one of the higher scores, i feel really safe for the first tribal.

regarding nascent alliances--i feel like Brandi and i have a good thing going, and then with the other four, it seems like the five of us are having good talks with each other, but not all as a group yet. i do know that Hairie and Julia and both talking to me, Raffy and Arvin, so that feels good.

additional thought: Raffy kinda took over the uploading duties for the S.H. I am very grateful, because I didn't want to use my own accounts, but it feels like it could catch up with him later. I know of at least one picture that ended up not counting bc it was a vest and not a jacket, and he uploaded it too fast without double checking. I had said I would get that picture, and I had one that if he had waited or checked before uploading, he could have used mine. while it won't hurt him this time (Fifi looks obvious at this point), if he takes too much responsibility, then it's too easy for the consequences to blow back onto him.

as long as others continue to use him for that, i will too. i won't be the last person though who is relying on him. i am happy for someone else to take the heat at this point in the game. i will be monitoring this though and make sure it doesn't look like i can't pull my own weight if it comes to that.

additional additional though: Arvin called me his survivor mom! i don't feel that old! and in an online environment, as long as you are technically savvy, age doesn't really matter at all so i'm a little miffed at being pigeon-holed that way, but i am also very caring and nurturing in general so maybe it's that? well, that, and the age. ugh lol.

So far this whole experience has been really cool and different. Being able to connect with all the team members from around the world is pretty awesome! I think so far we are all pretty involved and committed except maybe 1. Which I’m hoping for this first tribal council will be an obvious vote for those who did try their best and contributed to winning this first challenge. Raffys my favorite person so far. He’s helped me really get the hang of things since he has a bit experience and quit a bit of patience it seems like which is appreciated. I don’t really know what to expect as this game goes on but I’m excited to learn and find out! Cant wait for our next challenge if I’m still here! 🤞🏻

So after the challenge clefford came to me and started talking shit about Jinx. Kind of out of nowhere. He said that he asked her if she would start a clean slate with him and that she said no…. which I was suspicious of because Jinx had previously told me that they had no problem with clefford. So obviously I immediately told Jinx. I also told them I was drunk (which I am) cuz I want her to feel like she can trust everything I'm saying because I'm saying it through the filter of being very drunk. (I may have regrets about this strategy tomorrow morning.)

So clefford tells me that he trusts Toni and Esteban and he wants to start a new group chat that Jinx is not in. He also told me that he's basically a newbie because he's only played once; obviously he's trying to appeal to me being a newbie but mamma didn't raise no fool.

So now Jinx wants to do an all women's alliance to kick out clefford. Which I'm all for at least for one vote. I do want to keep Esteban around even though I know he's been talking to clefford as well. But I think if I can pull this off clefford will have no idea what's coming. Time to put my high school theater experience to use.

I asked AJ to be in a alliance with me and I hope that she's genuinely down knowing how I played my previous game. I honestly think that the rookies already formed an alliance against the returnees.

Seeing Jinx here again made me scared at first. We had a not so good relationship on our first game together and I hope that we are good now. I genuinely want to work with her, because she looks cool and kind.

hiiiii first confessional of the season wooo! i'm doing this now so in case i don't make a video confessional in time i still get a confessional in for the episode but hopefully i'll have a video confessional too.

i'm feeling good about our tribe!! we worked really well together to divide and conquer the scavenger hunt, even though some of us were more helpful than others lmao. AJ is giving needs to be in control vibes which i'm totally fine with. i also already LOVE jinx, we have the same sun/moon sign and our rising signs are sister signs so purrr love that sm i feel like we are really going to get along. i'm happy to see esteban here, he did vote me out last time we played together but this is a clean slate and i'm not going to have that affect this game. Okay so AJ is giving me a good amount of information right now which makes me think that she is open to working with me. Hairie offered an alliance with me, Julia, Chelsea, and Arvin. I don't really know how I feel about this. I can tell that Hairie is definitely a strategist. He is going to want to do anything to make it to the end which I can respect. He'll be a fun person to play with in the game. I'm just unsure of Chelsea and Julia. I can't get a good read on Chelsea and how she wants to play the game. She seems like the type to have social connections everyone. And Julia is unpredictable. I feel like she would have my back, but not in a "I will tell you everything" way. More like "I will do things without telling you" way which I don't know if I can trust. However, I need to just say yes and move on. Its better to be in an early majority alliance than not. Other than that, I should be pretty safe for this tribal unless the newbies don't like returnees.

I don’t really fancy the idea of “keeping the tribe strong”. We don’t know what the next challenge is, someone could be terrible for this challenge but slaying it in the next. In an ORG setting, keeping the tribe strong (in terms of participation) is important because I don’t wanna keep coming back to tribal.

I'm so excited for this game. Although it's quite overwhelmed and because I'm still in the other game at the same time. Day 1, I managed to talk with some people and bond together And guess what? I managed to get into an alliance early in the game with my fellow Asian bro. I'm stick with it. Then, there's AJ, Trinicia and Jinx who also quite friendly. That's my gang over there.

Our Flag Means Death is officially gone, but I’ll always remember it as the show the helped me admit I’m queer. Ed thinking he’s unlovable reminded me of my own internalized queerphobia. It took me watching the show to finally admit my own feelings about my own sexuality/gender identity.

Ed shaving his beard and Stede freaking out reminded me of an ex that dumped me after I cut my hair. That semester, I started using they/them pronouns, but I felt like I was a fraud. So I went back to using she/her.

That was a very dark time in my life. Like Ed, I started acting out. I took my frustrations out on people that didn’t deserve it.

Recently, after watching the show, I relapsed and I had to get help. Seeing Ed breakdown and end up in the gravy basket really helped me see how broken I felt.

TLDR: The gay pirates show made me realize I’ve been in denial about being bi

I (26F) came into the show completely blind only knowing the basic premise, and that there were some queer characters.

Even though I knew the show has queer characters, Ed and Stede falling in love never occurred to me at all. All of the hints to Stede and Ed’s relationship in Season 1 were completely lost on me. Ed watching over Stede while he recovers, changing clothes, “you wear fine things well,” the treasure hunt, Lucius saying “this is happening,” their boots touching, and Stede jealous of Calico Jack. All of that whooshed past me.

I simply saw season 1 as Ed and Stede becoming a platonic friend odd couple. I had to watch memes and TikToks to realize that they were flirting with each other throughout season 1. I feel so embarrassed that I didn’t notice what everyone else was seeing.

I was feeling like Stede when he called himself a “terrible pirate” after surviving getting stabbed and hanged by the Spaniards. I was feeling like I can’t be queer if I couldn’t notice that Ed and Stede liked each other.

But after I thought about it, I figured out that I was blocking out the scenes of them flirting with each other. I rejected thinking about Ed and Stede’s relationship like I’ve been doing with my own sexuality. I didn’t want to think about myself being queer, so I didn’t think about Stede and Ed being queer. Even when I knew that the show is gay, I still mentally blocked out any gay-coded scenes.

My initial viewing of the show made me realize that I was in denial about my own sexuality. I figured out that I was bi a couple years ago when I found a female cashier physically attractive, and I started flirting with her. But I second guessed myself. I thought that if I was bi, I would’ve figured it out as a teen. And even if I was, it doesn’t change anything in my life.

Watching the series caused me to confront my own sexuality like Ed and Stede. A part of me knows that I’m bi, but the other part doesn’t want to think about it. Ed wants to be Ed, but Blackbeard is all he knows. It’s easier to be Blackbeard. It’s easier to see myself as straight.

When I read AO3 fanfics, I’ve alway preferred same-sex pairings ie: Leon/Krauser (Resident Evil) or Guillermo/Nandor (What We Do in the Shadows). But when I write my own short stories, I default to my characters being straight and cis. I’ve always consumed queer media, but I could never bring myself to make my own queer work.

Watching OFMD made me realize my own unresolved internalized biphobia. Last year, I googled “internalized biphobia” after finishing my rewatch of the series and I ticked off almost every box. I thought I wasn’t bi, because I’m married to a cis man and have only ever dated men. I thought that I can’t celebrate pride month since I’m not dating another woman. I didn’t want to be bi. I didn’t want to think about all of the girls I found attractive but never acted on. I didn’t want to regret not realizing I’m bi. Just like Ed in denial about being heartbroken over Stede.

Relating to Ed and Stede scared me. How could I relate to gay pirates realizing that they’re gay?

I appreciate that the show was able to bring out my unresolved feelings. Being homophobic to myself is a hard thing to admit. I hope to one day be comfortable with myself and my sexuality. But for now, I’ll just write this:

Tezra-14 & Trophy fic I whipped out real quick about his “second resurrection”. They talk, and start a new beginning.

His ghost is gone, he’s sent her off to find someone better, someone who’s not a monster like him. He enters a clearing with sparse foliage. He drops to his hands and knees. He’s weak and broken. His heart aches and his nerves and subsystems are firing off, warnings of an imminent shut-down. He won’t fight it anymore. He lays himself in the grass, and grips his woven necklace. He prays to the Traveler that will see Monarch again soon.

Tezra awakens with a jerk and a cough- Calamity scans him once, twice, then floats staring like he’s supposed to say something first.

There is silence before he decides to ask;

“Wh- why am I here?”

The ghost’s pupil narrows. “I’m done, I’m not letting you sulk in the dirt anymore!” Her shell expands, making her look like a puffed up cat.

She’s mad at me?

He sits up and surveys his surroundings, he remembers this and doesn’t. The clearing shows the passage of time evident with new growth.

“How long?”

Calamity spins her shell as if searching for an answer, as if she lost count.

“Centuries at least. I-it’s been so long for me Tez…”

His heart pangs, he remembers before his death, for him seconds, but for her? Centuries. He holds out his palm and after a second of hesitation she falls softly into his grip. He clutches her to his chest, the memory of his pain floods back, Monarch, the village, the warlord. A strained feedback emits from his vocal cords, “You should have left me dead Cal.”

There’s another pause before she responds, “I had to bring you back Tezra, there’s just so much going on and I can’t just leave y-“

Tezra cuts her off, “I don’t have anything for me here, stop”

Calamity flares her shell and flies into his face, “No, you stop! I get it Tez, I do. I get it hurts! What do you want?! A trophy? Boohoo, you are officially the saddest bastard around!” Her shell droops, resigned, “But do you really think this is what he would have wanted? For you to rust out here while there are people out there- innocent people- who need help? That you have the power to help!?”

Tezra sits stunned, in all their years together he’s never heard Calamity yell, that and…

She’s right.

Monarch saved him and together they devoted their strength and light to helping people. His heart aches, a fresh wound of loss. But Calamity is right, he wouldn’t have wanted this- wouldn’t have wanted Tezra to give up while there was someone out there who needed help. To do that would contradict everything they stood for together.

What feels like years of silence pass in the span of a minute. Clarity.

He reaches for her, draws her close and presses her to his forehead, “you’re right”

She sputters, “w-wait, what?”

“You. are. right. He wouldn’t have wanted this, and I need to do… something”

She floats up and her shell dances, spinning around her. “Okay, okay, repeat that first part again?”

“You are-“ his eyes narrow, “no, wait I know what you’re doin-“

“No no this is great! Please continue- hey hey you know, this is great! This is growth! I thought you were gonna be more stubborn than a bull and I’d have to beat it into you!”

Tezra swats at her softly, but the ghost dodges as giggles erupt from her.

“We should go, it’s been a long time, there’s a city now, the Last City. Lightbearers and civilians built it! It’s HUGE!” She spreads her shell to emphasize, “In the city, the lightbearers are organized! They made the Vanguard, Guardians who work together to help people! They have a lot of familiar faces! Like Lord Shaxx and-“ Tezra’s focus breaks from her words and more to her actions, she’s spinning and bobbing through the air excitedly, all the while he notes scuffs and dents on her shell that definitely weren’t there before.

“And then! This crazy cool warlock made light duplicat- you aren’t listening.” Her pupil narrows as she straightens her gaze at him. Tezra’s hands fly up in mock surrender, “I was! And then I was watching… a little more than anything else.” he sighs and softly runs a finger across a particularly deep dent.

She laughs nervously and her look softens, “oh- this is all nothing, Tez! Honest, it’s- it’s just been a while and accidents are bound to happen!” She’s turns away shyly and floats off.

Tezra huffs and begins to stand, his joints creak and the stiffness pulls at his paramuscles. He groans from the pressure, but stretches out his limbs. Tezra turns to look at his surroundings; trees and overgrowth are scattered around him and in the distance looms a giant wall. He removes his cloak and folds it, laying in to rest in the dirt. He grips the pair of rings on the necklace above his heart as Calamity busies herself with scans of the nearby flora.

She brings over two small flowers, a simple but hardy plant, yellow dandelions. He takes one and places it above his cloak and she follows.

“You think I can pull it off?” The yellow?”

She snorts in response and bumps against his shoulder, “if you get a paint job, then I get a new shell!”

“Of course, and during our trip, you can tell me how you scuffed this one so bad.”

He tugs at a point and she scoffs with false offense.

“These were all accidents! I told you before!”

“Yeah, here’s a trophy, most accident prone ghost.”

“Oh real nice Tez, SO original!”

He studies her, trophy. Trophy…

“Trophy.”

She tilts curiously, “Trophy?”

“Yeah I- it’s just been so long, and this is a… fresh start?”

She only contemplates for a fraction of a second before nodding, “Yeah- Yeah I like that, that sounds good.” She spins all the way around before spinning only her shell, a wave.

“Well, My name is Trophy, I’m your ghost! And you are gonna be a great Guardian!”

Tezra chuckles and gives a playful bow, “Well Miss Trophy, it’s a honor to meet you, my name is Tezra-14.”
