okay, but where's my steddie AU where steve wants to learn to play guitar to impress a girl he's infatuated with and he remembers that munson kid was always hanging up posters for his weird band at school, so he hikes out to eddie's usual dealing spot behind the track and asks (with far less groveling than he really should have) if eddie will teach him how to play, and obviously eddie says no because why would he want to help king steve, but of course, steve offers to pay him, $20 a week, and well, that's the kind of get-the-hell-out-of-this-shithole-town cash eddie really can't afford to refuse, so fine, he'll teach steve to play and they'll spend inordinate amounts of time together tucked away in eddie's room and they'll start to see that they have more in common than they thought and that they kind of had each other all wrong, and eddie will put his hand over steve's to help him get the placement for a tricky chord and it totally won't awaken anything in either of them?? where is it??

i wasn't gonna post today but I'm currently writing another one of Buck and Taylor's arguments and I'm having so much fun lol (there's gonna be only one more conversation between them after this haha) I keep having new ideas for the in-between of what I had planned, and I hope all of this turns out coherent, I'm probably gonna have to do so much editing lol I'm so determined to post it this month and I'm actually inspired!

“I don’t know what to tell you.” he sighs, averting his gaze, as he’s trying to think about anything to say, but his mind is blank. 

“How about the truth? I really just want to know what the hell is going on with you. Because this-” she throws her hands out, vaguely gesturing around. “This isn’t a life together, and I don’t know how many more times we can have this exact same conversation.”

“Taylor…” he starts, hoping more words would come. “I’m sor-”

“Is there someone else?” she blurts out, angry tears welling in her eyes. He feels his own eyes widen in surprise, and his cheeks burn.

“What?”

“I mean, are you seeing someone else?” she doubles down, her tone a little shaky, but still determined. Suddenly, he feels his heart in his throat, and he has to make a conscious effort to breathe. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.

A Hawks x Artist!Reader fic where you're out drawing random civilians and hoping for a chance to sketch some patrolling heroes too when you spot Hawks. He's taking a quick break, perched leisurely on the roof of a nearby shop, surveying the area when he sees you drawing him. He freezes, wings that were previously softly waving coming to a still, golden eyes locking firmly onto yours.

You avert your gaze so fast your neck hurts, and you unsuccessfully try to hide behind your little sketchbook, your face on fire at getting caught. When you've caught your breath and you feel brave enough to look back, Hawks is holding up two fingers. Then he strikes a dramatic hero pose and you gape, eyes wide with disbelief as you realize he'll hold the pose for two minutes, just so you can draw him. You do so with your heartbeat hammering in your ears.

All right I loved Twisters, too, but I have to stress that there wasn't anything in it that was groundbreaking. Nothing incredible.

Just plain good. Straightforward. Simply good. Wrapped up in a nice neat package. Not trying to right all the wrongs or check all the boxes.

Please don't put Glen Powell in every movie from here to 2029, he did a good job, but it wasn't him, it was the plain good story, and he and the others disappeared into that, that's their job, don't put them in every movie they won't FIT in every movie
