There's so much to think about this lil guy. While he's like, ofc, not my "main blorbo" (that belongs to Penelope <3 ) he's still such a fascinating fella.

Like, okay, like from the beginning, I personally like the idea that Deidamia and Achilles were dating and/or at least friends. And I like the idea of Thetis being a very spoiling grandma. :3 So many presents. Also he prefers salt water like his dad though he's not as upset about freshwater touching his skin as Achilles is.

For his age, it's always been like... WILD. because oh my gosh the timeline. Where is it? Why is it? HOW is it? I don't really plan to write and/or think about his age too much because that would throw so much into funk... :')

Either way, idk, I think he's complex like his dad. He's almost a mix of "powerful warrior" but still so young. I weirdly think it'd be neat that if he's a bit like Diomedes in a way, in how he had to start fighting so young, his dad is well known (both for very different reasons) but unlike Diomedes, who had Sthenelus, Thersander, Promachus, etc. during the Epigoni. Neo has no one really who is close in age to him to support him in the same way during the Trojan War. If you know what I mean? He also doesn't have Athena constantly often beside him. (idk maybe a weird old brother thing for Diomedes and Neo)

I also don't...really think I want to necessarily go with the "hyperviolent" boy? possibly angry and scared but not like "bloodlust" and just murderous. Especially when idk, Neoptolemus was raised more...MORTAL than his father was xD As Achilles also got Centaur treatment while still being a demigod xD

While I do plan for the "Neo is the one who kills Astayanax" instead of Odysseus (I think it makes...the most narrative sense with how Achilles killed Hector, and he kills Astayanax. It's a "Father kills this other father, his son kills the same father's son" sorta of thing.) but the drop from the wall. Not the fucked up one where he kills Priam with him 😭

I...don't ship Neo with Hermione though. :/ idk I think she'd hate him tbh lol. Also the whole

Bill is Billiam Siffer (cuz cipher but with s),Bitchass triangle,Pathetic meow meow,Billy boy. Fidds is Fiddly didly,Fiddly ford,Fiddly. Stan is Stanny boy. Dipper is Dippor. Ford is old man mad scientist. Also Soos is gopher man.

Complaining abt Suicide Squad yet again but the fact that they have Waller exposing the alien community to space racist attacks and talking abt how she got to her position through deceit and being a terrible person and stuff is just. Ahsfiwueh JUST SAY YOU DONT KNOW WALLER.

Anyways literally the 3rd mission of the Squad ever (and the first framed as smth Waller picked and not orders from above) was the Squad discrediting and stopping a rogue vigilante who was only arresting POC and funneling white people into white supremacy groups (of which he was the most prominent member) in SUICIDE SQUAD #4. and it's explicitly framed as this mission being personal for Waller that she's hiding from the government bc its illegal like. Guys. Please why are we having her incite (space bc comics) racist attacks now

Also the whole "Amanda got her position through deceit and being a terrible person" NO. she KEPT her position through being shitty and playing complicated political games!!! She wasn't always that way like there is a difference and it is IMPORTANT ppl PLEASEEEE. In Secret Origins #14 we learn Amanda's backstory and she used to be a normal, caring person! Like even after she entered into working in government and politics she wasn't automatically morally bankrupt like please people. She was originally given control of the Squad by Reagan (*sigh* 80s comics...) to distract and get rid of her because she was so successful at pushing progressive social policy in Congress. Acting like she's this static pillar of evil is such a waste of her character and so fucking uninteresting and disrespectful to her arc it drives me MAD.

Like I am NOT saying Waller is all sunshine and rainbows, she fucking SUCKS (said w love <3) but like there's a human being there. It's a progression, she has a character arc like please, DC, please!!! They've fucked up Waller so bad and made her so opaque and uninteresting she can't even be the protagonist of her own story for fucks sake!

Like I don't know how many times I have to scream it until DC hears me or remembers but WALLER IS THE MAIN CHARACTER OF SUICIDE SQUAD. ITS HER BOOK. yet right now she's a cutout to be used as the villain wherever the writers please. Even in her book we get none of her perspective really displayed, no exploration of her thoughts with any kind of understanding of the role she traditionally has played and was made to play in the story.

“Someone help me dress these!” Eddie screams over his shoulder. His hands are pressed so far into the wounds on Steve’s chest that his fingers squish against something warm and wet. Steve winces at the pressure, and more blood pours from his mouth.

Eddie turns around to find Nancy still standing behind him. She should be running to grab the gauze and bandages from Steve’s pack, tearing her clothes into strips like the last time the bats ripped him open. She shouldn’t just stand here, motionless, dread and acceptance scrawled across her face.

Robin would kill her if she wasn’t dragging Dustin away into the trailer after Nancy agreed to help Steve. Now Eddie understands– she just didn't want them to watch this.

It wasn’t supposed to go like last time. They were defenseless. Steve didn’t even have a shirt or shoes when they traversed this hellscape. But this time they wore their War Zone gear, Eddie and Robin prepped molotov cocktails, and Steve had hammered nails into a shield ’to match my bat, Robs, how cool is that?’. 

They agreed it’d be more dangerous at the trailer, so of course Steve volunteered. He’s the fighter, sword and shield. He’s the goddamn babysitter and if Dustin’s here, then so is he.

But Steve promised Eddie a date, he promised not to do anything cute. Now–

“Eds,” Steve coughs, dark red blood seeps out from between his teeth, trickling down the corners of his mouth. It soaks his hair. Out of everything, that’s what rips the first sob from Eddie’s chest. “Please, Eds, you have to go. Get them out of here.”

“No, no please, Stevie– you promised me, remember? Enzo’s, a movie at the Hawk, and a goodnight kiss.” Snot drips from Eddie’s nose into Steve’s chest wound, and he swallows the vomit that floods his mouth.

Steve chuckles, the sound so wet it gurgles. His lips are blue, his eyes unfocused. “Don’t remember promising a goodnight kiss, Munson.”

“Let a guy dream, big boy,” Eddie sobs through a fake, comforting smile.

“You’ll be in my dreams, Eddie. For always.”
