me: and his character is so sad. there are so many reasons why he fantasizes about bad love and men treating him horribly. it could be about the way his dad possibly treated him or his mother. what if he was so desperate to believe that his father was a good person that he only seeks these traits in other men to feel “loved” again? or maybe since his dad treated him like that then he thinks he deserves it? like since his father hated him so much other men must hate him too, because he was “a bad son”. or maybe he had secret relationships with other men and they treated him like a secret so he now believes that’s how he should be treated. a gross secret to hide. a reason to be ashamed. and who treats diseases with kindness?? or maybe he just wants to feel. he’s so desperate for a story, anything to actually feel more than just numb. even if the love he got was rotten, he’d be feeling something by someone who cared enough to look in his direction. he just wanted that but if care and attention, even if it only made him worse. there’s so many possibilities and it just makes his character so much more fun to play with and write. he’s so-

Thinking about the fact that, to pull Gale from the stone and get him in the game at all, you have to decide to try to touch an extremely dangerous looking swirling mass of unstable magic. Something that is, objectively, a terrible idea

Like, the options it gives you are to either touch the sigil or leave, and if you leave you just... don't get Gale in the party

You have to take the risk. You have to let your curiosity override your common sense. You have to look at this unstable, possibly dangerous malfunctioning magic sigil and go "...Ok, but what if I poke it?"

In short, to get Gale in your party, you have to do exactly what he would in that situation, and indulge in a moment of reckless curiosity. And I just think that's delightful

I just thought about this -- Crowley had planned out everything he was going to say, but it wasn't supposed to be sad. It was supposed to be this big revelation, this wonderful step together in a new direction.

He was nervous but this was supposed to be a good thing.

This was supposed to be boozy brunch at the Ritz.

And then Aziraphale said what he said, and Crowley knew. He could see it all slipping away from him. He knew, and he tried anyway, and he almost cried during it, but it wasn't supposed to be that way.

It wasn't supposed to be sad.

He wasn't supposed to cry. But he did, because he knew that it was already too late, and he had already lost.

Kinda want to write a Spock POV post-fal-tor-pan fic where Spock sees Jim and is instantly whammed with the fact that he's in love with him, but still has no idea why or what that means, so he just goes around with a knot of love tangled in his mind, utterly baffled as to why it's there or how to figure it out. He can't ask the kolinahr adepts, because it feels un-vulcan, so instead he's just. confusedly pining the entire time.

Jim smiles sappily at him and Spock's like "My Heart Is Beating Faster. Why Is My Heart Beating Faster. There Is No Cause For My Heart To Be Beating Faster. Do I Have Tachycardia."
