Tumblr media
i don't think it happened this way but i keep laughing over this crack interaction in my brain...
Tumblr media
junko: i've slowly corrupted several students from class 77 to be part of ultimate despair... soon i'll have enough people at my beck and call to enact my plan and drag this world into the depths of despair
komaeda (hope fanboy) out of nowhere: enoshima-san! i've noticed that you're plotting a large-scale conspiracy to spread despair across the globe and have already corrupted some of my classmates
junko: ---
komaeda: can i join :D
junko: huh?
komaeda: i want to join you :)
junko: ...just like that?
komaeda: yeah :D
junko: i thought you were all about hope and stuff
komaeda: i am! that's why i want to help you spread despair :)
junko: ...well damn alright i guess that works

Danganronpa: 10th anniversary outfits review!
So…quick thought here…I have almost no context for any other character outside of dr1, so if u like some of these characters, and I say something construed as mean…sorry?
(Under the cut):
DANGANRONPA 1:
Tumblr media
Makoto Naegi: 7/10
It’s fine, really. Nothing extravagant, nothing stupid
Kiyotaka Ishimaru: 7/10
The only thing I have to say is that I like the color scheme: it takes from his school uniform, and that palette looks great on him!
Byakuya Togami: 8/10
I like it. The fur coat works for his personality, and the color palette works as well.
Mondo Ōwada: 9/10
I’m not exactly sure what this is supposed to be, but it looks great! The palette looks nice and the coat & pants have a really cool design on them.
Leon Kuwata: 7/10
The plaid looks nice, but in all honesty, I don’t really think it fits his character well.
Hifumi Yamada: 9/10
Not gonna lie…I’m actually loving the pinstripes! He kinda looks like a mobster from Guys and Dolls, and considering that’s one of my favorite musicals, it gets an instant high score from me!
Yasuhiro Hagakure: 9/10
That color combo looks really good on him! I’m kinda glad Spike Chunsoft loves putting Hiro in bright clothes, since they fit so well on him!
Sayaka Maizono: 8/10
It’s fairly basic…but it’s cute at least. Also, I like the little detail that she’s holding a yellow rose, since those mean both friendship, and more commonly, jealousy
Kyoko Kirigiri: 7/10
It’s fine. I don’t hate it, but I think they could’ve done a bit better. In all honesty, I think it would’ve been cool if they put her into a “little black dress” like the one in breakfast at Tiffany’s: simple, but elegant nonetheless.
Aoi Asahina: 9/10
I am fully willing to admit I’m biased, so I will. I’m in LOVE with this dress, and Aoi’s rockin’ it!
Tōko Fukawa: 9/10
I really like this dress! The colors, the accessory, the design, her hair, it’s all great!
Sakura Ōgami: 10/10
YESSS QUEEN FUCK IT UUUPPPPP
Honestly, I love this Kimono! The bright pink and yellow, the (I’m assuming) Chrysanthemums, her hair and the decorations, I love it all, and she looks stunning!
Celestia Ludenberg: 7/10
I…kinda like it? The palette’s nice, and the general feel of it is regal-esque, but I personally kinda don’t like it. I feel like they should’ve gone with something more Victorian or Rococo style for her
Junko Enoshima: 10/10
I’m in LOVE with this dress, and it looks gorgeous! I especially love the little masque that pays homage to Monokuma, and the crown being used as kinda like a hairtie! It really looks like something a fashionista would wear!
Chihiro Fujisaki: 7/10
WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE A LEPRECHAUN AHAHAHAH
I don’t hate it, but they could’ve been just a bit more creative, I think.
Overall: 0/10, no Mukuro outfit
Jk, 8/10
Danganronpa 2
Tumblr media
Hajime Hinata: 8/10
I like the white tux, but it looks like a lot of his palette was just eyedropped from his uniform
Rat Man (more commonly known as Nagito Komaeda): 9/10
I love the way this tux looks on him! The white jacket looks great, and so do the designs on it!
Byakuya Togami: 7/10
It’s alright. Nothing bad, nothing new. Maybe if they gave him a different tux design I wouldn’t mind, but as it is, it’s just fine
Gundham Tanaka: 9/10
I really like the accent colors, and the boa is a nice touch as well
I love the hamsters’ outfits! They’re adorable!!
Kazuichi Sōda: 6/10
This isn’t bad, but it just, once again, looks like they just eyedropped his normal uniform colors onto a tux. It’s not bad, but it does feel a bit lazy
Teruteru Hanamura: 9/10
This might seem like an unpopular opinion (and it is)…but I love this outfit! It’s cute, the accent colors and accessories themselves are cute, and Teruteru’s the only boy wearing a cummerbund (fun fact!)
Nekomaru Nidai: 9/10
I’m in LOVE with this guy’s design
I really like the double-breasted jacket (that’s actually what it’s called, I’m not being horny), and the colors look great on him! My only complaint is the fact that he’s wearing boaters. They’re not bad shoes, but I just don’t get why he’s wearing them
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: 7/10
I like his color scheme, but if there were any place to put pinstripes, it’s this guy, due to his title. Also, what’s with the rolled up pants? Is he wanting to wear shorts? He does look like a kid…
Akane Owari: 10/10
I ADORE THIS ONE. The pants, the blouse, the color, the CAPE…HOO BOOOYYYYY
Chiaki Nanami: 8/10
I like the color scheme, but, again, the dress seems a little plain. She’s the ultimate gamer, and you’re telling me you can’t reference a video game dress? Really?
Sonia Nevermind: 10/10
I am IN LOOOVEEEE WITH THIS DESIGNNNNN
the way this dress looks is GORGEOUS, and the palette is, once again, beautiful
Hiyoko Saionji: 8/10
It’s a very cute design, but I feel like the colors could be a bit more matched
Mahiru Koizumi: 9/10
GORGEOUS. I have no other words.
No thoughts, head empty, only GORGEOUS
Mikan Tsumiki: 5/10
Eeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I…don’t like this one
The way it shows so much skin feels a bit weird, considering fanon states some kinda physical/sexual abuse for Mikan. The only thing I like is the color scheme
The pillbox hat & color scheme makes me think of Jackie Kennedy, so why not put her in something like that? Something a bit more conservative, but still pretty
Ibuki Mioda: 9/10
I really like this one! It seems a bit avant-garde, & I respect that for a character like ibuki
Not to mention it just looks pretty in general
Peko Pekoyama: 8/10
I love the monochrome color scheme and the way her Kimono looks, and her accessories look great as well!
Overall: 8/10!
Danganronpa V3
Tumblr media
Rantaro Amami: 8/10
Meh, it looks good, but I think it’s kinda bland
Kokichi Ōma: 7/10
The outfit looks great, but this dude’s HAIR…DISGOSTANG
Like…it’s long enough to put into a rat-man ponytail, so why not do THAT?
K1-B0: 10/10
You know I’m right.
Gonta Gokuhara: 9/10
I like the color scheme a lot, and the chequerboard looks great on him! What a gentleman!
Shuichi Saihara: 5/10
I’m just not a fan of tweed…but also, this just doesn’t look good on him. What they should’ve done was give him something in a different color palette. Maybe reference a 1940s suit for extra levity!
Korekiyo shingūji: 7/10
Idk…everything’s’ fitting together, but at the same time…not. I do like the hakama, tho, & the color palette is once again, eyedropped
Ryoma Hoshi: 9/10
I love the color scheme, the pinstripes look great, and I love both the gloves and the fedora!
Kaito Momota: 7/10
He just kinda looks, once again, like a formal version of his school uniform. It doesn’t look bad, but there’s gotta be something more creative than that
Kaede Akamatsu: 8/10
I really like the color scheme and her decorations, and the ruffles look adorable! It gives off a very “goddess of flowers” vibe, and I love it
Miu Iruma: 100/10
BAHAHAHA WHY DOES SHE LOOK LIKE JEANNE FROM BAYONETTA?
NO SERIOUSLY LOOK:
Tumblr media
In all seriousness tho, I do love the dress, it’s so sophisticated and the color palette/ accessories only complement the outfit
Tsumugi Shirogane: 8/10
Meh, the dress is cute, and the color scheme looks nice, but I just kinda wish they swapped the colors of the boa and dress. I think that’d look better
Tenko Chabashira: 9/10
She looks like Willy Wonka……but it works. I like the short skirt-pants, the hose, and overall, it looks great!
We need more people wearing cummerbunds!
(Number of kids wearing cummerbunds: 2)
Kirumi Tōjo: 8/10
She kinda looks like a character from……Genshin, I think? Either way, it looks pretty, but I think they could’ve done better.
Maki Harukawa: 6/10
I don’t really understand the color situation: why is the bodice pink, but the bottom a gradient from eggshell white to egg yolk yellow? If they’d chosen better colors I think I might like the dress better
Himiko Yumeno: 10/10
I love this dress. It’s so cute, and the use of translucent, glittery fabric really makes it look whimsical! She looks like a magical girl, which I guess is the point
Angie Yonaga: 9/10
I’m not exactly sure what she’s wearing, but I do love the colors. They fit really well, and it looks good on her!
Overall: 8/10

Remember my antagonist time loop au? Remember how canon Kokichi is pretty attached to Shuichi? The second timeline, Kokichi fucks up enough that Shuichi gets killed and damn near shuts down.
He talks to his fellow timetravelers and they manage to break him out of it, and he ends up leading the trial because someone killed Shumai and now they must pay. Kaede is confused by his suddenly helpful behavior, but the timeline gets reset when no one believes him and they vote wrong.
The second timeline goes very wrong for Nagito though. He walks into the room, surrounded by people he knows are Ultimate Despair but, what if it was a dream, even if it was painful?
Then he finds the communication app on his monopad and everything is repeating. He's pretty smart, but he probably just shrugs and goes along with the party idea but ends up stabbed by Teruteru because he made sure that Imposter was out. He wakes up in the void, and finds his monopad in his hands. He can then calm down Kokichi.
Byakuya is not having a good time because he doesn't care about most of his classmates. He finds himself near Maizono and Makoto, but fails to stop her attempted murder and death. He ends up dying after witnessing Chihiro's death because Mondo panicked.
Now let's talk about Byakuya's time after the loop. He still has all his memories, but he never manged to take a step out of the door before. When he actually manages to leave, he's so relieved. He almost wants to message Kokichi, as Nagito stopped responding some time ago.
He can't though, as he needs to focus on helping his friends. Yep, all of his classmates are his friends by the end, because he went through so many different combinations of survivers. Even Mukuro, albeit reluctantly.
Mukuro is clinging to Makoto as they're greeted by the future foundation. It's pretty clear that they want to kill the people behind this, but it was made clear doing the last trial that Mukuro was manipulated from a young age, and they can't shoot her without accidentally hitting the newly titled Ultimate Hope, who is also trying to convince them to let Junko live.
They VERY RELUCTANTLY let both live and class 78 basically have to babysit them until FF is sure they're reformed. Mukuro isn't babysat for that long, even if she didnt have many complaints as being alone for too long makes her uncomfortable. Even after she's free, she tends to follow her classmates around like a duckling waiting to be given something to do.
Junko is still being babysat when they find class 77. Byakuya instantly recognizes them as Nagito's class, and goes along with Makoto's plan with zero resistance, even if Kyoko had a few complaints in the beginning.
Byakuya watches, completely unsurprised by the way Komaeda is acting and that everyone stays alive. He is kinda surprised when Nagito pushes to do the shutdown, before he remembers that Nagito managed to keep everyone alive twice, but the first time they didn't do the shutdown and Nagito got looped again.
When he opens his eyes, Nagito let's out the most relieved sigh possible, and then notices Byakuya. He perks up and the first words out of his mouth are, "Time Travel Buddy!"
Given that Nagito was the last person awake, and everyone was in the room (including Junko) was there, this raised some questions. Class 78 already knew that Byakuya occasionally timetraveled and had no control over it, but this cloud head did too?
He explained that Nagito was one of the two people he would occasionally talk about, which sparked an uproar because he knew the killing game would happen, but he also knew they would make it out alive so it's ok they guess. Then Hajime brings up the question that neither wanted to think about.
"So, what about the third time traveler?"
They both shrug helplessly. Byakuya goes to the meeting in dr3 future arc because he physically couldn't not go, and then what happened there is in the other post I think. Anyway, no one dies because time travel and hindsight.
They just pretend it didn't happen.
A few months after Nagito wakes up, they find... Somewhere I dunno with a bunch of teenagers hooked up to machines. They take the teens and machines to the island because Byakuya insisted where TVs reveal that they are also stuck in a killing game.
Que everyone slowly turning to Byakuya and Nagito as Nagito scans the screen before finding the little purple gremlin. Byakuya had found his unconscious body back... Before they were brought to the island and leads Nagito over to his body.
When the game ends, the machine tries to force them into another killing game, but Hajime disables it and they rush all of the teens into hospital beds.
They were around seven when the tragedy happened, and I personally think that it lasted around five years, so they'd be around 12-14 now. It's kinda weird because in the killing games made by the machine, they were always 17-18. These poor children.
The first to wake is Shuichi, who quickly figures out what's happening, even if anxiety is a bitch, last is Kokichi, who behaves much like Nagito did. Only Shuichi had believed Kokichi when he "joked" about being a time traveler, so he's happy to be proven right.
They adjust to their new heights, (Gonta, Kokichi, and Ryoma didn't have to adjust much) and have a lot of tramua because they're children who shouldn't have had to go through that Junko.
She at least looks sorta ashamed after being with them for so long.

It gets lonely as hell at the top of the world.
Lucky for Fuyuhiko, he’s never really alone.
Or maybe it’s not luck, because he’s found himself sat on the edge of a skyscraper with the two craziest fuckers he knows. And who’s luckier than Nagito, anyway? Or Servant, Fuyuhiko guesses, because that’s what his friend keeps insisting he goes by now. Fuyuhiko thinks it’s fucking weird, but Nagito likes weird, and who is he to judge anyway?
But Kazuichi isn’t anyone to judge either, but he’s still got shit to say about it, “But for real, what the hell is with that collar? I can’t say I get the whole ‘servant’ thing, but it’s not like you’re their pet. It’s even got a leash for crying out loud!” It’s not like Fuyuhiko disagrees though, the chain linked leash is pretty fuckin’ weird.
“I’m certain it would make you feel better if I told you it were to sell the bit, but the truth is I’m rather fond of it!” Nagito sighs as he twirls the chain in his hands, the far off look in his eyes like always, “You don’t have to be here visiting me anyhow, you know? I’m sure it’s absolutely boring and a waste of time to be hanging around trash like me.”
“If it was boring, you know I wouldn’t even fuckin’ be here.” Fuyuhiko barks back, and it’s true. He can’t sit around wasting his fuckin’ time being bored. It’s honestly one of the reasons he’s here anyway. Peko’s gone off on a mission with Ibuki, but only after making sure a million damn times that it was okay with him, that he knew she’d be back. Of fucking course she’ll be back, but she kept insisting she would because she belongs to him. It drives him fucking crazy to do that constant back and forth with her, but she’ll always insist she’s a tool, and he’ll always insist she’s not. Honestly though, they need that fight just to keep from being bored. Just to feel shit.
Everything is so fucking boring if it’s not on fire or bleeding, but that’s what makes it so damn delicious to finally see everything go up in flames. Still, that’s why he couldn’t just sit around and wait for her to come back, so he dragged Kaz along to Towa City. He knew Kaz was bored as hell without any more executions to maintain, without that damn killing game, and Fuyuhiko wanted to make sure a certain lucky bastard hadn’t gotten himself killed yet. So, here they are.
It seems like Kaz really is just as restless too, because he twitches impatiently while they sit up there, “You know, I really thought you would be up to something crazier. You’re just making milkshakes while you watch kids murder adults. And Makoto’s damn sister is running around with a Megaphone as a weapon?! It’s weird for sure, but is it really fun for you?” Fuyuhiko doesn’t know why Kaz even asks. At least Nagito has the decency to make his hope-fucker speeches new and improved every time he gives one, but it’s easy as hell to tell that’s where this is headed.
Of course Nagito is predictable as he always is, it’s somehow real endearing and real fuckin’ annoying all at once. But at least it’s interesting, “Well of course you have to go through all the ridiculous set up in order for the grand finale to play out! If I want hope and despair to clash in a show of beautiful fireworks, I have to do my job and be patient. When Miss Komaru aids this city in rising from the ashes, it will be a most wonderful hope! I can’t bear to miss it.” Nagito wraps his arms around himself tightly in the way that he does when he gets real lost in himself. His eyes get so vacant, like the only thing that exists inside his head is the constant crashing of waves of hope and despair, and Nagito is just riding his lucky lil’ surfboard.
Looking at Kaz though, it’s plain on his face he’s just as lost as ever, “I mean, I guess, but you didn’t really answer my questions. Is it fun?”
When Nagito turns to look Kazuichi in the eyes, Fuyuhiko can already tell that pressing the ‘fun’ factor was a big fucking mistake.
“Ah, so it’s about fun for you, is it? You indulge in horrible crimes against humanity as a fun game? I see,” Nagito chuckles to himself, getting up to fully stand on the ledge. He grabs two backpacks and throws one in each of their directions, “Well, then let’s have some fun!” He grabs one backpack and looks at it, contemplating it for just a second before looking between his two friends. His eyes land on Fuyuhiko, and he throws the backpack at the other’s chest.
Then, Nagito just winks at him before dropping backwards, falling from the skyscraper.
Kaz, being the dumbass that he is, scrambles trying to get up and get on his backpack, “You’re such a jerk, you know that?!” And he immediately jumps off right after. Fuyuhiko just sighs, throwing on his backpack as he throws himself off along with them.
It’s a tall ass skyscraper, and a long way down. Fuyuhiko falls and falls face up through the thick fog made of pure pollution, feeling it fill his lungs to blacken them. He just stares at the sky, endlessly red and looking like it could swallow him absolutely goddamn whole. For a moment, he feels like he’s falling up. The sky calls to him, pulls him in and threatens to consume him in its crimson. It’s the same way the crimson of blood calls to him, reminds him he can’t live without it’s constant spill. The sky calls, promises to him he’d never have to spill himself again. If he just drowned in this, then he would forever be in a euphoric despair. If he just let himself fall, the split crack of his bones would sing his ass to sleep.
The sky’s voice sounds just like Junko’s, and that’s not at all surprising. He’s sure as shit she can see it all through her eye that had been forced into his right socket. She can see it, and she wants to fucking feel it, and she wants him to feel it all with her. She wants to watch him fucking give up what little he has left, wants him to die next to his dumbass friends. She wants Peko to tear herself apart looking for him, and when Peko finally does find his broken body, blood dried a long ass time ago, Junko wants to envy the all consuming despair that will come from that. Fuyuhiko doesn’t want to leave Peko, he’s never fucking wanted to leave her side, but if he could give her this.. If he could let himself crash and give her that despair, would he finally have been worthy of her?
All of that stops dead in its tracks when he finally catches up with Kaz and Nagito. Fuyuhiko suddenly remembers himself and springs into action, grabbing Nagito mid air and forcing the parachute on his back, “You’re a fucking asshole, you know that! This ain’t luck, you’re only gonna get out of this shit alive thanks to me!” Fuyuhiko tries to scream over the wind, but Nagito just gives him a cheeky ass look and shrugs. Fuyuhiko just rolls his eyes as he pulls the strings to release Nagito’s parachute, before him and Kaz pull their own.
They all just hang out in the air, drifting down the rest of the way while Fuyuhiko fantasizes about all the ways he could absolutely fucking kill Nagito. He doesn’t know if that’s enticing because he’s furious at the bastard, or because he cares about him so damn much. Maybe it’s both.
Once they get to the ground, safe and laying on their parachutes, Fuyuhiko stares up at the sky again as he catches his breath. It doesn’t say anything to him, just watches. He kinda wishes Junko would say something, but she’s gone now, some of the only pieces left of her kept by two of the most fucked up bastards in the world just laying here on the pavement. But Fuyuhiko can’t see out of his eye, and Nagito can’t move his hand, and even that’s so damn despairing in its own way.
Suddenly, Nagito starts laughing hysterically, and Fuyuhiko turns to face him. He’s laughing, but his eyes are swirling again, and tears are running from his eyes too. It’s honeslty a beautiful fucking sight, seeing how overcome and torn apart Nagito is by hope and despair constantly at war in his brain. Nagito is always pretty but… but this is so damn breathtaking.
“Well? Wasn’t that fun?!” Nagito asks after his laughter dies down. Kaz looks like he’s about to commit a fucking murder right then and there, but he just starts screaming at the bastard instead. Fuyuhiko watches the scene for a moment, before rolling his eyes and rolling back over to stare up at the sky.
In its own horrible and fucked up way, it was fun. But that’s the only kind of fun Fuyuhiko has these days anyways. It’s the only kind he wants, he craves this feeling, which is why he shoots and cuts and burns just to fucking feel something. He doesn’t know if he’s happy or not that all he had to do this time was fall from a building. He didn’t even fucking break anything.
“Well,” Fuyuhiko snaps out of it when he feels Nagito nudge him, “You look like you had fun!” Nagito beams at him, but his eyes are still puffy and a tear rolls down his face. Suddenly, he’s moving towards Fuyuhiko, and brushes his thumb against the other’s face. It’s only then Fuyuhiko realizes he was crying, too. When the hell did that happen? He can’t really think about it too hard, not when Nagito is staring at him so damn intensely while he waits for an answer. His eyes are clear for the first time in.. well who fucking knows how long, and Fuyuhiko can’t make himself look away. Nagito’s hand is still on his face.
But then Kazuichi breaks the moment, squawking at them both, “Hey! Can you guys please not be weird right now, we seriously almost just died!”
Shoving Nagito away, Fuyuhiko yells right back, “Yea well it’s all fucking thanks to me this bastard is even alive.” But he’s ignored as Kaz keeps yelling at them, and Nagito just laughs. God, Fuyuhiko really can’t fuckin’ stand his friends.
He doesn’t know what he’d do without them.

HI BABE NUMBER 4 FOR THE CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE PLSSSS
Tumblr media
HELLO SOPH! NO WORDS CAN EXPRESS HOW I’M SO HAPPY THAT I GET TO SHARE MY OC IMSUCHANERD-
Full name
Nakajima Fujita  (Breathing form: Breath of Art)
Preferred name/nickname
Fujita (for the lOVE OF GOD, DO NOT CALL HER FUJI SHE HATES IT)
Generally referred to as
The one with the brother complex HAHAHAHAHAH
Appearance.
Speech.
Sex: Female
Height: She’s gonna kill me for this but she’s 5 flat :’)
Weight: Somewhere around 55-75 kilos hehe
Build: She used to be thin but when she became a slayer, she started developing curves.
Hair: Her hair is long, it reaches up to her waist and is jet black in color. Maria (another OC from this universe) once suggested she should cut her hair but she refused because her brother likes it long. HAHAHAHHA
She used to bun it at all time but it becomes a hassle during missions so she buns half of her hair instead, the rest on lose.
Skin: Described as ‘porcelain and smooth’ by Amida (another OC from this universe) and is prone to sunburn so she hates travelling at day which is inevitable lol.
Eyes: Her eyes are crimson red in color. Maris likes to joke that she has ‘bloodshot eyes’. As for shape, they are round, almost similar to a doll.
Mouth: Thin.
Hands: Smail and slim. They used to be very smooth but she started earning callouses the longer she is a slayer.
Feet: Small.
Scars: None.
Other features: None.
Noteable features: Amida, Maria, and Junko (the other 3 OCs) kept on saying she reminded them of Japanese dolls.
Mannerisms.
Accent: None
Verbal Ticks: None
Language: Let’s assume they speak Nihonggo.
Articulation: She loves to use poetic words. By poetic, we mean words that are not familiar to Amida just to piss him off. For some reason, explaining herself is a difficult task for her. She just expects anyone to immediately understand her.
Laughter: She mostly scoffs, especially when she mocks Amida and Maria (lmao she has no guts to mock Junko. I mean, who does?) for doing something stupid. But when she’s genuinely happy, she laughs so loud and it’s very contagious, she’d even snort.
Grump: None
Breathing: Fujita is usually composed but when she finds something new or interesting, you’d hear her gasp like a child and it’s cute.
Health:
Face: She squints her eyes as if she’s reading whenever she tries to think. Also, she always has this scowling face and Amida, Junko, and Maria are convinced that she’s just disgusted with everything. kinda true.
Hands: None.
Legs/Feet: None
Habits: She likes to run her fingers through her hair or to play with the tips of her strands. It’s a coping mechanism.
Posture: Very poised! ‘Lady-like’ the way she was taught to pose.
Walking posture: Very poised as well.
Sitting posture: Very well-mannered (especially in Japan’s way of sitting? Where your knees are folded?)
Personal space: She hates people who stand or sit too close to her...well, except her brother and her husband :))))
Spacial awareness: VERY MUCH AWARE! She’d flinch at almost everything she finds disgusting. A slight brush of your skin would send her yeeting!
Personal.
Diet: Picky-eater. She loves sweets, tho.
Sleep: She sleeps early! Her maids always made sure she slept early so it became a habit.
Excercise: Nope. She hates physicaly activities despite being a demon slayer.
Activity: She does not like to move a lot. She even lets Maria do the chores. She expects everyone to work for her, similar to how the maids work for her all the time. Ik it's weird because she's a slayer, she's supposed to be very active but nah
Cleanliness: SHE HATES GETTING DIRTY. Which is a problem since she slays demons for a living.
Odour: Amida once said she smelled like home :’))) Maria said she smelled exoensive and Junko said she smelled like water.
Medical drugs: None
Narcotics: None
Addictions: None
Illness: None
Injuries: None
Parasites: None
Other:
The Past.
Introvert/Extrovert: I would say an extro. She’s from a wealthy family and is very confident on everything she does. In fact, she approached Amida and Maria first (the reason why they became friends)
Optimist/Pessimist: in between? She doesn’t really care of what happens.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: She knew she was straight. Then she met Amida, a bisexual. And that...kinds of blow her off to this day.
Romantic: She’s never tried it and she feels like she would never. bUT SIKEEEE she is now married.
Memory: Depends. If it’s about her brother, then yes. It’s sharp. But if it’s about her friends, kind of sharp. But if it’s about things she doesn’t give a fuck, no. Her memory sucks. If it's about her husband, though...she remembers every little thing about him which I find cute.
Planning: No. She goes with the flow most of the time. Maria and Amida does all the planning in their missions (they do missions together).
Pensive: No. But if the actions has been done...she’d overthink of it whether if it was too much or stuff.
Intuition: Kind of...good of making right decisions at the same time no. She’s very spontaneous, I can’t tell.
Goals: TO KILL ALL THE DEMONS.
Insecurities: None. She’s ‘perfect’.
Achievements: She killed the demon who killed her brother. Well, we’d like to think of it that way. She raided the demon den where her brother was assigned to raid and she killed every single one of them successfully.
Anxiety: Back when her brother was still alive, she’s always anxious if his letters during missions wouldn’t come. But know, she's afraid of losing her friends, especially that they separated ways after the defeat of demons.
Overwhelmed: During her brother’s death, she felt everything was too much she actually ran away from her own home. She was also very overwhelmed when a cErTain sOmEonE asked for her hand in marriage
Self-help: Dealing with her own problems, she kinds of let the others do it for her :))) (she used to order Amida around and she’d pay him with her money lmao)
Comforts: Her brother. Unfortunately, he’s gone. But now, she finds comfort from Maria, Junko, and Amida (especially Amida).
Philosophy: OOOOH I haven’t thought of that.
Triggers: Mention of her brother, death from demons, demons, Amida getting hurt (this is rooted to the fact that she kinds of see her brother on Amida or something) and her friends getting hurt.
She also thinks it’s very important for her, Maria, and Junko to marry someone wealthy after they retire which Maria and Junko objects as they had their experiences with men. She'd eventually take this back though as no rich man has given her the happiness and contentment Amida was able to offer.
Parents/Guardians: Her father is old but is very supportive of his children. She’s very close to his brother so when she found out about his sudden death, she did not take it easy. She ran away, swearing that she’d kill the demon who killed him.
Along the way she found Amida, Maria, and Junko. Spontaneous as they can be, the four became demon slayers and they had to return to her home for temporary refuge.
School: No. But she was pampered well by her household.
Adolescence: She actually tried to shape herself into someone her brother would love.
Leaving home: She swore she’d kill the demon who killed her brother, resulting to her suddenly running away. Though she came back months after, wounded, along with Maria, Amida, and Junko as they came from a bloody mission and they needed temporary refuge. Her father was surprised and somehow upset but was more glad that he finally knew what has happened to his daughter.
Further education:
Life events: She ran away from home, went to different villages and she eventually met Amida (I’m not gonna describe too much since this is a huge event for Amida), she eventually met Maria who is a Demon Slayer which enticed her to join as well.
Worst day of their life: When demon slayers went to her household, bringing along with them his brother’s blood and torn uniform.
Lessons: She learned that though her brother would never come back, she can at least avenge him.
Looking back: She never regretted the things she did. She never regretted staining her hands for the sake of her brother.
Relationships.
Interactions.
Family: Redundant but her brother is very important to her but now, she gained new friends she consider as family. As for Amida, she finds him very special. It’s either because he reminded her of her brother or it’s because of how Amida looked like when they first met.
In the future, Fujita would return home after the demon's defeat and she'd have surprise visits from Amida who was looking for "solace". These visits became something she anticipates, almost similar to the feeling when she awaits for her brother's letters. And before she knew it, she grow more fond of Amida each visit. She fell in love.
Friendships: She had lady friends from different household but she never felt the sense of friendship not until she met Maria, Fujita, and Amida.
Friends in need: Fun fact: When she saw Amida for the first time, she was horrified and so, she treated him with good clothing and good food.
Annoyance: Dealing with arguments, expect Fujita to SCREAM a lot. She wants to prove her point. She wants everyone to understand her and she thinks screaming is the best way to extend her thoughts.
Romance: She liked the thought but dismissed it anyways as she cannot imagine herself living the rest of her life with someone who is not her brother. She does see herself marrying someone wealthy once she retires.
SIKE! SHE MARRIED AMIDA.
Marital problems: None so far.
Adversaries: -
Enemies: DEMONS. And anyone who hurts her friends and brother.
Strangers: She does not hold back when she’s with strangers so people who do not know her think she’s actually very arrogant (which she is) and bitchy. It’s just her personality, though.
Fun stuff: SHE LOVES PAINTING, HENCE HER BREATHING FORM (BREATH OF ART). She likes Haiku and paintings!
Dating: None because she's married.
Best friend: Amida, Maria, and Junko
Love: She considers her brother her love of her life. Whether it is romantically or not, I have no clue. This was her thinking not until she fell in love with Amida.
Respect: She respects no one but her friends and her brother. Especially Maria, she respects her so much.
I’m not gonna include Life ‘cause most of it don’t apply to them hehehehe
Mingling: She does not go along with others well due to her personality.
Comfort levels: She does not feel anxious or bothered when talking to people. It should be the other way around. How dare they bother her-
Physical: No she doeesn’t like affectionate actions.
Group: She’s fine with groups. She doesn’t feel anxious. It should be the other way around.
Jealous: She’s jealous of those who still have their brother on their side.
Temper: SHORT. She likes it when she annoys others but annoy her once, she won’t hesitate using her breathing form on you.
Empathy: She surprisingly empathize to those who lost their loved ones from demons.
Affectionate: She shows her affectionate like a tsundere would do. She’d be subtle and like, defensive when caught in the act HAHAHAH
Distaste: I know that she use to emphasize how she is disgusted with Amida but it’s her Tsundere self kicking in. When she really dislikes someone, she’d ignore them completely.
Responsibility: The only responsibility she knows is keeping herself alive and keeping her friends safe. That’s all.
Self-esteem: HIGH. VERY CONFIDENT. You can say she is the spokesperson of the group.
Honesty: She’s very honest with her thoughts. But if you want her to speak of something personal, now that’s difficult. But surprisingly, she opens to Amida very easily.
Leader or follower: Follower. She admires Maria and thinks Maria knows what’s best especially on missions.
Praise: She loves praises! She likes it when people point out her well-done hair, her beautiful clothes, her beautiful breathing form. But let Amida compliment Fujita and you’d see her blushing as she tries to diss him >=}}}
Criticism: She will only accept them if they came from Maria or her brother.
Insults: She takes it hard! She’d think of that all the time and she’d try to prove it to you that you’re wrong. She’s basically a royalty! How dare you insult her?
Embarrassment: She takes compliments well....if they aren’t from Amida or his brother.
Flirting: This is a lowkey Tsundere, Ma’am. We know no flirting!
Attention span: Very short lived if she does not take interest in it. But let Maria speak and she’d be all ears.
---
I know no one asked but I have 4 OCs from Demon Slayer universe and I'd love to create this with them but I'm confused on which OC do I make one first.
So pick a number between 1 and 4 :) (Number 4 is out-)

Underground Travels; Part 2
We walked for half an hour, according to my watch. (We woke up at around 7:30PM, it was 8PM now.) There didn't seem to be anything in the tunnel, so we were just walking with seemingly no aim.
“Do you think we’ll be out of here soon?” I asked. William shrugged.
“Dunno. Hopefully!” He said.
“Th-that’s fair.” I replied.
As we kept walking, Kailyn stopped, squinting.
“Hey, hey Boys. See that?” She pointed forward. I looked forward and saw a small light a bit in the distance.
“H-hey, there’s the end..! Let’s go!” I said, speeding up a bit despite the aching in my legs. We all made our way there, finding a door cracked open a sliver. A room lay inside, which we walked in to.
“What is this room?” William asked, looking around. The room had two doors leading off them, one labelled ‘Eagle Eye’ and the other labelled ‘Precision’.
“No clue...” Kailyn said, walking up to one of the doors. Eagle Eye.
Before she reached it though, something fell out of the roof. Or rather, someone.
“Hahahahahaha!! Welcome, you fucks, to the Challenge Chamber!” They exclaimed, cackling. I stumbled back with a yelp.
“Wh-who are you?!” I asked. William put a hand on my shoulder.
“I, you unfortunate unclefucker, am Nerezza Enoshima!! Self-proclaimed Ultimate Despair, at your service.” She grinned. Her teeth were oddly sharp. Kinda scary.
Tumblr media
“U-unclefu-??”
“Now, glad you made it!! Me and the boss almost thought you wouldn't leave the room. Or hell, not even wake up at all!” She said.
“The boss? Who’s the boss?” Kailyn asked. She didn’t seem intimidated.
“None of your business, sweetheart. Besides, whoever survives is gonna have to figure that out themselves!”
“What do you- ...whoever survives..?”
“Uh huh!! Sorry to tell ya, but only one of you is making it out of this place! Well, probably. Just guessing since, ya know, the challenges are hard as balls. Hehehe!” She chuckled, hands proudly on her hips. ‘She’s demented.’ I thought.
“Now, let me explain. Two of you are going to attempt a challenge first; one in Eagle Eye, and one in Precision. We’re gonna pick who doesn’t have to do it outta a hat, so good luck!”
She suddenly pulled a hat out of seemingly nowhere and stuck her arm in, moving it around until she finally pulled out a name.
“And the person who doesn’t have to compete issss... Ah, old unclefucker! Ryo Togami, you’re safe.” She said. Kailyn and William looked at each other somewhat nervously.
“So... what do we have to do?” William asked.
“Simple! Enter your room, complete the task, and leave! Simple as.”
“But you said it’d be hard?”
“Ohh, did I? Sorry, I have super short fucking memory!” She laughed again.
“S-so what do I do..?” I asked, tugging at my sleeves.
“Well, you just wait for someone to finish. When someone does, go through their door and move on to the next challenge!” Nezerra said. I nodded slowly as she turned to the others.
“Now then, I’m gonna give you plebs the option of which room you wanna take each! Choose wisely, because you’ll both do better in one of the other.”
And with that, Nezerra left, locking the exit behind her. We all looked around at each other.
“So..?” William started. Kailyn looked at the rooms, then back at us.
“I’m thinking Eagle Eye for me. Sounds like something to do with good aim or good vision, and I have both.”
‘Right! And I need precision for surgeries, so that sounds good for me.” He said.
The doors clicked open, signalling they were ready. The two looked at each other, then Kailyn stuck out her hand.
“Good luck, William. May the best player win.”
William nodded, shaking her hand.
“And to you! No hard feelings either way.”
“Of course. Be ready to follow whoever wins first, Ryo.”
“A-ah, I will! Be careful, you two. G-good luck..!” I told them. They gave me a smile, before entering their rooms.
Two screens came down from the roof, displaying two rooms; the ones with Kailyn and William in them. Kailyn’s room seemed to be aim, like she’d thought. William’s looked like an oversized version of Operation.
“Now, the game will begin shortly!! Kirigiri, your goal is to hit every target from the red spot you’re standing on. There’s a gun and ammo beside you. Just don’t shoot yourself, that’d be no fun!! And Tanaka, your goal is to remove every piece without buzzing! If you buzz, every piece returns and you start all over. Boo hoo! Now, 3...”
The two looked nervous.
“2...”
“Good luck, you guys...”
1! Begin!!”
The two instantly sprang into action. Kailyn loaded her gun quicker than I could follow and started firing, hitting a target or two. William instantly buckled down and got a piece or two out. They had a while to go though.
Nezerra walked back out.
“This is gonna be fun!” She said, smirking.
“N-no it isn’t! Is- are they gonna be OK?” I asked. She shrugged.
“Probably. I didn’t make the reward, I just made the game.”
“You... you’re Junko Enoshima’s child, right..?” I found myself asking.
“Kyahahahaha! Smart fucker, aintcha? Yep, that’s my mom. Not much of a mother though, I’ll tell ya that!” She said, totally nonchalantly.
...well, as nonchalant as she could be.
“D-do you have a dad?”
“Probably, but not like I know him. Mom slept around, you feel me? Never knew who dad was, and I don’t really care to either. I’m happy being demented on my own, thank you very much!” She declared.
‘Well, at least she knows she’s unstable...’
“Got any other questions? These fucks are getting boring, and I love talking about myself.” She asked. I hummed. I had made it my business to know about the other Ultimates my age, so knowing about another couldn’t hurt. Especially since she’s the child of someone so scary...
“Ok, well... you said you’re not the boss, right? Why not?”
“Hmm?”
“I mean, considering your mother, you seem the type to run something like this. Who would be able to control an Enoshima?” I asked. She smirked.
“Good question, nerd. Well, my mom can’t exactly do despair’s work anymore, because everyone already left the sum, yeah? And besides, she’s getting old. So when she noticed this person one day just writhing with whatever the real life version of despair is, she sent me to go... well, slip ‘em an idea. So, they agreed to run it as long as I helped. I agreed, obviously. This sorta shit is fun!” She explained. Kailyn continued firing on screen as I heard a buzz from Will’s side. He didn’t seem deterred though, as he simply restarted and continued.
“Goodness...”
We didn’t say anything else for a bit. I continued watching the screens in fear, because the Enoshima family always spelled trouble. After a while, I sorta zoned out. I had to wonder where the exit led. Where would we end up? It was an unusual thought that kept me wondering for a bit, trying to think of anything that could have told me where we were. Were we at some weird version of Hope’s Peak? That couldn’t be possible, right-
“Done!!”
I snapped my head up to see William standing triumphantly, every piece beside him. Kailyn froze, obviously having heard. Her gun clattered to the ground.
“I... I see.” She said. “Well, good match William-”
As she was talking, four sorta pipes with clamps on the end came out of the walls, grabbing her by her arms and legs. She let out a small yelp before closing her mouth.
“Kailyn!! Nezerra, let her go!!” I cried. Nezerra shook her head, smiling.
“Nuh-uh! Congrats, William! Your reward is life. For now, anyways!! And, Kailyn... your punishment is... well, I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Now, are we ready?!” She announced.
“NO!” Me and William both cried, William looking around his room frantically.
Kailyn sighed, then looked up at her camera. She smiled softly.
“Well, it appears I’ve lost, mother. However, I am not a sore loser.”
The clamps stretched her a bit more, making her wince.
“T-to the... v-victor go the... the... spoils...”
*Pwish!*
*Splat.*
The last I saw was Kailyn’s limbs being torn from her before the camera was splattered with blood. I screamed, falling backwards and onto the ground.
“Kailyn!! Kailyn!” I yelled, grabbing my head in my hands. I hadn’t known her for that long, but she’d been my friend. And seeing her die like that was... was absolutely horrific.
“Hah, pussy. This sorta thing is normal for me! Anyways, I’ll unlock those doors for you now, Willy! See you in the next challenge, boys.” And with that and a laugh, she left again, William’s door unlocking. William, as soon as he got out, ran over to me.
“Ryo! Hey, Ryo, hey! It’s gonna be OK, I promise. Come on, breathe.” He told me, rubbing my back as I sobbed into my hands. “Come on, breathe in for four seconds, hold for seven and exhale for eight. Yeah, that’s it.”
I did as he said, still crying but steadying my breathing. After a moment, I was kinda calmed down.
“K... Kailyn...” I murmered helplessly. I should have gone in there instead. Maybe if I had, she could have survived. “This is all because of my rotten luck. Of all the talents to have...”
“Hey, hey no... None of this is your fault. It’s that stupid girl’s. It’s gonna be OK... she isn’t trapped here anymore. She’s free now, and we will be too soon.” He told me. I sniffled and nodded, sitting up a bit.
“I-I... thanks, William... how are you so g-good at comforting..?” I asked.
“A lot of people get emotional over pets. I’ve gotten used to comforting people.”
“A-ah...”
After a moment of silence, he stood up and offered me his hand.
“Come on. Let’s go get some revenge for her.” He told me, smiling softly. It was oddly comforting, honestly. I nodded, taking his hand with a shaking hand and standing up.
“Ok... l-let’s go.”

Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls Playthrough
So yeah, I finally got UDG and now I’m playing it. Will give thoughts after each session.
Okay, some of these shots of Komaru are pretty uncomfortable. The moment we get a female protagonist, the camera has to perv on her. It’s... uncomfortable.
This game definitely has a more brutal tone. We’re seeing dead bodies and violence everywhere. It’s... a lot.
I’m not exactly into the constant format changing for cutscenes and dialogue? Like, we get some as 2D anime, some in the game’s 3D style and then we have in-game stuff with the 3D models but with the character sprites next to the dialogue. Oh, and then we get stylised 2D in the vein of Danganronpa executions, and flashbacks that play out like in-game stuff from the other entries. Granted we end up getting less of the anime, which sucks because that’s the best looking format. I’m not really a fan of the 3D animation style, it just doesn’t look fully realised? Like, it reminds me of a parody or something people would make on YouTube, especially the way they move as they talk. And I mean, them moving as they talk while they have a sprite on screen conveying their emotions more effectively makes at least one of them redundant, right? But yeah, there’s a lot of style switching and I’m not a fan.
Yay, Byakuya! Our favourite prick is back to save Komaru... but apparently he gets kidnapped on the way after she escapes her prison. Kinda surprised they didn’t have it be Makoto given he’s Komaru’s brother, and it would raise the stakes, but then I guess they needed to get Toko involved too so I’ll see how it plays out first (or they kidnap both lol).
Towa City sounds interesting, the idea of a place that escaped the worst of the tragedy from their advanced tech and being wealthy bastards, except now the Warriors of Hope (which TOTALLY aren’t with the Remnants of Despair... I mean, they have an army of fucking Monokumas) are causing trouble there.
I think I’m getting used to the controls and kind of game this is? I’m managing fine at least. Fire rate is slow though lol
Komaru, even for someone isolated for 1.5 years (so I guess this is six months after Trigger Happy Havoc) can still have some pretty dense moments. Runs in the family? :v
Fucking Nagito Komaeda is here and is a servant to the Warriors of Hope. Even as we know he’s a Remnant of Despair, you can tell there’s more to him than just being a slave salivating over Junko. Wonder if he has his own thing going on, or he’s just gonna be a slave to kids. Also... that is such an edgy look for him. Seriously. :v The freaking chain especially. And gosh, even here we have to hear him call Komaru boring and uninteresting.
The Warriors of Hope I’m not sure on yet. Monaca despite not openly the leader is clearly the one in control with how theye look to her, thought also god I HATE the “disabled villain” trope. Unless she’s faking, which also sucks. Jataro and Kotoko have potential I think even if they’re currently a bit one note, Nagisa already seems more complex which is cool especially with the more serious attitude and obvious affection for Monaca, but Masaru is annoying. Not really into the loud boastful extrovert type. Also IDK what this Hope’s Peak Elementary thing is all about.
So the Warriors of Hope have taken over and are killing adults to make some paradise for kids, and Komaru is released back into the city to be hunted. Also when they were saying how great it will be with no adults, I believe Kotoko saying that it will be great because there’s gonna be no paedophiles got a legit laugh out of me.
Genocide Jack/Toko coming back in was pretty cool, and given we’re more focused on her I’m getting into her character more than before. That being said... WHY? To whoever decided to add the Byakuya fantasies... WHY? WHY???? What if someone in my house heard me and I had to convince them it’s just a weird perverted video game and I’m not actually watching porn on my TV? WHY????????????? Also... the white splatter as the fantasies fade out just makes it even worse.
IDK if it’s just me but some of Komaru’s design reminds me of Kaede’s? The face at least.
Toko is still gonna be Toko I guess, lol. Also makes sense she can’t properly be in the Future Foundation because of Genocide Jack. Also lol, she even referenced Hina and Hiro even being in... albeit not in the most flattering way.
Look, as... whatever the fuck the Byakuya fantasies are, the pig thing kinda got a laugh out me be because of how ??? it was?
Finding books is a cool mechanic actually, especially how it ties to the characters. Also gives the chance for fun interactions. Also... Toko calling out that book for making light of DID? Is this Danganronpa poking fun at itself? Just because you make fun of it doesn’t absolve you. :P The thing with Komaru being an anime fantasy certainly was.
Speaking of poking fun at itself, they’re definitely self aware here lol. Even here it’s still constructed like it’s a game. Also WTF are the Monokuma headed kids.
Why is the save mechanism... that? I guess it’s for the kids, but... still? Why???
Hotel was actually a pretty cool setpiece.

Trial 6 - (Fifty)Third Time’s the Charm, Post-Accusation (3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is that all we are to you? Just a vehicle to solve your cases for you?! ... you know what on second thought don’t answer that -
Trial: 1 / 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello darkness my old friend
Tumblr media
What an interesting reaction. Despite the weird back and forth she’s been having with Monokuma, he still had the Monokubs jump in to defend her - though with that said, the desperation of it all probably backfired in Shuichi’s eyes. The point is, her first reaction wasn’t to protest - I mean, she will, and she did a bit weakly earlier, but it’s to withdraw into herself and think. Isn’t that how we first came across her? Thinking deeply to herself and completely ignoring Kaede and Shuichi to the best of her abilities?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A-are you attempting to plead ‘power of friendship’ right now -
Tumblr media
“There is no time for friendship in the court of law!!!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clinging to that idea is the only thing he had to keep himself going all this time, too.
Also, after pushing behind the scenes for him to condemn three of the most well-meaning people in the class (and, y’know, Kirumi and Korekiyo lol), it’s interesting that she seems to think that this line of defense will work - especially considering what he’s accusing her of doing. You’ve managed to do something way beyond just murder, Tsumugi! Aside from Rantaro, you set the groundwork for everything that followed! And I feel like this game, more than the others, really pushed the idea that the survivors share some of the blame when the ‘blackened’ dies. I don’t agree with that mind you, but survivor’s guilt is very real and very powerful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite all of this, he still wants to be wrong and is happy to be wrong. Being awfully, painfully right seems to be a running trend with him, with the one glaring exception hanging over his head.
BUT SHE STILL ISN’T SAYING ANYTHING -
she’s just sitting there with this worried, anguished expression and I don’t know what I was expected but it wasn’t this?? Is she trying to frantically brainstorm a way out or -
Tumblr media
Seriously Monokuma do you actually hate her??? Despite working with her? Despite being intrinsically linked to each other???
Anyway whatever that just means it’s cute comic time, nice.
Tumblr media
“gdmt do I have to do everything myself -”
They kept her glasses on! Oh, they kept her glasses on it for this! I don’t know why that makes me so happy.
Tumblr media
Aaaaw look at Miu tinker away! The animation is really cute for it, tbh. Also something about Korekiyo eating all by himself with Kirumi waiting on him is kinda hilarious to me...
.........
I just realized that everyone in the dining hall were killers/wanna-be killers of the game lmao. Also, if only the nosier people had been in the room, this could have been prevented. 8′\
.... Now I really wish we knew where Kokichi had been at the time.
Tumblr media
i just have this screenshot because Shuichi and Kaede are cute here
Tumblr media
What was the signal that clued Tsumugi in on leaving, I wonder? Maybe she waited a certain amount of time after seeing Rantaro leave with the others? Would she have been willing to wait longer if she needed to for Kaede’s plan to either work or not work, or was she counting on it happening in that five minute span?
Tumblr media
This was a pretty damn good set-up by Kaede.
Tumblr media
I
CANNOT
BELIEVE EVEN NOW -
Tumblr media
!!! New Act 5.
Also no shit he would’ve been surprised. Actually, I’d say that was an understatement. What a great expression by the artist - that is definitely the look of someone whose life or what he remembers of it is flashing before his eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
RANTARO
RANTARO DAMN IT
I GET YOU’RE IN PSYCHOLOGICAL SHOCK BUT
oh god I was gonna say ‘did he not hear Tsumugi right behind him’ but 1) the video was still blasting 2) no, seriously, he was probably in shock and still processing that he nearly died and was a sitting duck
Tumblr media
WOW LOOKING REALLY CREEPY THERE MISS MASTERMIND
okay now the glasses still being there is kinda hilarious but I love it
Tumblr media
SHE REALLY WAS.... RIGHT THERE....
Tumblr media
This is another redundant picture because.... I’m not sure. I like this group together. We didn’t know anything about them at this point in the game, but they really did try so hard - and hell, Tenko, who I never got to know that well, was already putting aside her own bias this early in the game to work with Kaito for everyone’s sake. aaah now i’m getting sad
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which was so believable because even Kaede thought it was the truth! I’m so torn. I really like Kaede, and honestly? I like the fact that she was willing to go after the mastermind so aggressively. Tsumugi did twist the truth, sure, and we convicted the wrong person - but I don’t want to lose the fact that Kaede only didn’t kill Rantaro because her calculations were slightly off and Tsumugi cleaned up after her. I keep going back to it, but that line of Kokichi’s, telling Kaede she lost the moment she let murder into her heart, does still ring true to me...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THAT POSE.... I’d been waiting for her to make that type of pose all game. IS THIS WHY IT NEVER HAPPENED? BECAUSE YOU WERE SAVING IT FOR THIS DRAMATIC REVEAL?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Damn I love this picture, and I love how we’re finally getting to see the first hints of menace in her expression (outside of the ‘backflip into a minefield and die’ lol).
So.... now what....?
Tumblr media
DO IT I’M BEGGING YOU PLEASE PRESS THE BUTTON
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aaaaw, even K1-b0 is willing to hear her out. :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKI ON THE OTHER HAND LMAO
“I’m giving you 5 minutes. Oh, we’re down to 298 seconds now. Tick tock, motherfucker.”
And... she has nothing. Pretty much nothing. I mean, I guess she manages to throw the word ‘plain’ out one more time - literally just, “it’s plain to see I didn’t do it” - and that’s... it. Not exactly what one would expect of the mastermind who was able to throw this all together...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NO NOT THAT THING
Tumblr media
“Tsumugi I swear to god -”
Tumblr media
THAT’S NOT A GOOD REASON AT ALL!!! THAT’S THE OPPOSITE OF A GOOD REASON!!!
Tumblr media
;LKDFJAS;KJ
SDKFLJ
kalsdjfsljf;sfj
f m l    that’s actually
amazing
thank you based tsumugi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Where are you going with this????
Tumblr media
???????????
Tumblr media
I think everyone who‘s played the game has this scene seared into their memories and for good reason.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME AGREE WITH MONOPHANIE DRV3 -
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh thank god
Tumblr media
Wait no, Tsumugi. Wait. No, we’ve had something good going on between us, right? Right? Tsumugi please - please don’t -
Tumblr media
TSUMUGI I AM BEGGING YOU
Tumblr media
NO
TSUMUGI
TSUMUGI WHY
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS
Tumblr media
FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
......
WAIT DID YOU LITERALLY JUST CHANGE IN THAT CLOUD OF DUST
HOW -
Tumblr media
YOU’RE DAMN RIGHT shit she really is the Ultimate Analyst
Tumblr media
Wait, the 53rd???
Tumblr media
THE 53RD??? THERE’S BEEN 53 OF THEM??? HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN UP YOUR MANTLE -
Tumblr media
NO FUCK YOU IT’S TSUMUGI GIVE HER THE CREDIT SHE DESERVES
Tumblr media
HOW DARE YOU
Tumblr media
U-UM
UM WHAT JUST HAPPENED
Tumblr media
first of all BITCH -
second of all HOW DID YOU
SWITCH BACK SO FAST WHAT IN THE WORLD
third of all, which is really just an expansion of first of all, I actually still managed to keep liking her despite everything! Even that damn love hotel scene! DESPITE ALL THE ODDS I STILL EXIST -
Tumblr media
“I’m pretty sure Kokichi copyrighted that. You gotta wait at least 25 years before you can use it yourself, y’know.”
Tumblr media
hHGHGH MEGANE MASTERMIND SPRITE
omfg they
they’ve been holding back on this pose for the entire game
just for this moment
just for glasses!junko
............
fml I’ll allow it but I’M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT
Also I... I still want to believe that this Junko persona was born from Tsumugi and not the other way around....
Tumblr media
Wait, does that mean Maki and the others know what Junko sound like? How? Were there recordings of the final trial or something? This just makes me more curious about the time separation between the last two games and this one! Especially with the number ‘53′ dropped - that would mean someone’s picked up the mantle 53 times, right??? So shouldn’t it be at least 53 years? but then how old was Naegi in that flashback, and that’s assuming every person that took the role would last no longer than a year, but then - wait -
No, if I’m going to stick with the idea that these students were made to replace actual Ultimates... then maybe this is a lot farther back than I initially thought...?
Tumblr media
DOES SHE HAVE A V   3 IN HER EYES
....
WAIT A SECOND
Tumblr media
Which is why she’s calling herself the 53rd... So Junko Enoshima is a title that can be passed down. It’s officially bigger than the person herself - the same way ‘Ultimate Despair’ belonged to Junko (and she pretty much defined it), but was also a title that could be earned by other people... right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You literally keep bringing out your glasses. You can’t even see us properly from over there, can you?”
Tumblr media
EXCEPT FOR YOUR DAMN EYES I CANNOT BELIEVE -
SHE’S THE 53RD JUNKO WHICH SHE HAS A V3 IN HER EYES BECAUSE V3 IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT 50 + 3 DAMN YOU DRV3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Please, Shuichi? Please? Can I do it now?!”
omfg Maki why is the answer to everything murder ARE WE REALLY GOING TO DO ROUND THREE HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING -
......... b u t  on the other hand we actually do have the confirmed mastermind here. H M M M M ....
Tumblr media
AAAAH IT’S THAT TSUMUGI POSE EXCEPT NOW IT’S OMINOUS AND SHE’S LOOKING AT US OH GOD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweetcheeks is staying on track! You’ve got her right where you want her, kiddo! :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“..... like, do you wanna go get some food or coffee after this, or....?”
Tumblr media
“I DON’T NEED YOUR STUPID COFFEE I NEED A GODDAMN NAP AND A CHANGE OF SCENERY!!!”
Tumblr media
I’m... suddenly getting a terrible feeling that things won’t be that simple. We’re definitely not far enough into this trial for it to end...
Tumblr media
W-Why do I feel like I’m facing a Tsumugi-Junko tag team right now?
Tumblr media
FML I really like this transition between her initial sprite and this menacing one!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I-I... I guess we’re just going to let her exposition-dump now? O-Okay...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ffffffuuuu where do the weird memory shenanigans mix into this and what part of this is the truth? Because Tsumugi clearly feels a deep connection to Junko (lmao inner Junko) but the flashback light machine showed us that we could literally choose scenarios where people other than us survived!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MAKI
MAKI NO
I THOUGHT WE HAD FINALLY GOTTEN SOMEWHERE ON THIS
Tumblr media
.... Whoa this sprite looks really different from the rest. It’s ripped straight from the first game, right? I don’t know if the colours quite match up with the others. 8′D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn’t realize I could hate the Remnant of Despair Kokichi theory more than I already did but then he, with the supposed talent Supreme Leader, was relegated to a mere follower. 8′D
Unrelated but I lowkey love this ^ line.
Tumblr media
... Do you ever just realize how small Kokichi was in a moment like this.
Anyway I thought we’d already drop-kicked Remnant!Kokichi into the sun but apparently we have to do it in-trial now. Or, well, soon, anyway.
Himiko and the others are trying to stay on track though - on the idea that there are viewers to the madness. At first I thought, ‘oh, that’s a bit of a tangent though’ then I remembered Kokichi was the one who gave us the tools to get all the evidence to prove that so it actually does make sense to bring it back up now!
Tumblr media
Bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An intriguing line of thought, but bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THERE IS SO MUCH WRONG HERE THAT I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN -
Tumblr media
so thank god for Shuichi, who can help us get started.

Sorry that this is sudden but reading your canon rebirth thoughts made me think for Seishi handling his talent young, I would like to imagine it’s because of his family that he just learns how to be a hitman at his age. If his family is rather shady that they teach Seishi how to kill at a very young age. I imagine because of that, Seishi doesn’t get fazed when it comes to death or sees his talent as bad since he’s so used to it and sees it as normal. Just thought of sharing this lol
no it’s okay, lmao don’t let the late ass response fool you i’m always down for talking about seishi (especially concerning his backstory hdkfskd). tbh my headcanons fluctuate as i need them to for certain aus god help me but his family being the reason why he’s Like That is actually something i haven’t really entertained? but yeAH THAT WOULD EXPLAIN A BIT THOUGH WOULDN’T IT SKFLSDFDSHFJSD
oof, that’s kinda?? really sad though cuz i imagine that being exposed to death (particularly in being made to kill) at a young age really fucks someone up lmaO. not to mention that people who train their children to kill and not think of death as a big deal are probably uhhh, not good people haha. i mean, what would be the motivation for doing something like that, anyway? is it a family business kinda thing? is it just a desperate way to make money, and if that were the case then why your child? is it just a sick game to them? idk man
also honestly i never really thought of him seeing it as normal. i always kinda assumed/written him as knowing at least subconsciously that he was doing something Bad but. just flat out not realizing it man that carries a weird, pitiable naivete to the whole situation, doesn’t it? it’s kinda weird that i’ve never really thought about that much considering….well, everything about me dsjfkasdf but i do admit it kinda bugs me that people may see him as evil for being sent to kill ayumu like? rant time here but he’s not just doing it for funsies it’s not like he’s a serial killer. those are his orders. that’s his job, a horrible job, yes, but a job nonetheless. it’s a case of blue-and-orange morality here, and that’s what makes his character so interesting and dangerous and honestly pretty sad. and i know i keep using that word but thAT’S REALLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE SITUATION IT’S MESSED UP Y’KNOW? god he’d probably be genuinely confused when people react to him with disgust when his real talent is found out because he’s just killing people? it’s not like he’s doing weird things to the bodies or anything why such a visceral reaction?
okay but back to the topic at hand dfasldfj
that also opens up a lot of doors though for redemption/character development though (my mind keeps going to “morality lessons/teaching” a la the good place lmao). it’s not like he’s junko, he’s not necessarily getting a sick pleasure out of his work. nothing i can find from these translations indicates that, as far as i can tell? it’s just work for him, y’know? he’s prideful yes but just because you’re proud of something doesn’t mean that you enjoy doing it y’know? idk man i’m just weak for villain turns ya feel
this kinda meandered aldsfjsdlkf sorry but!! thanks for the ask you’ve given me something to think about :’)

8. Least favourite character: teruteru makes me so uncomfortable, sorry if you like him but like, stop harassing women gremlin fgjhgfhnnbh his execution was satisfying (also haji who he doesn’t exist pls)
9. Least favourite class trial: I don’t love the chapter 6/final trials from any of the games that much? I ended up getting into them eventually!! but my attention span kinda didn’t care about reading all the exposition worldbuilding stuff at the end, esp for ndrv3
10. What would be your Ultimate Title: shsl lesbian. shsl dumbass. shsl gender confusion. shsl what the fuck. shsl croc wearer. HFJHGFN NO FOR REAL I’d probably like to be the contortionist or actor? idk I’m untalented

27. Least favourite execution: wild west insecticide was… weird? I didn’t feel like it was fitting for our boy gonta!! and in ndrv3 the monokubs being included in the executions was always distracting, I just didn’t like it much
34. Best character design: this is tough because character designs are like my favorite part of all the games and I think they nail almost all of them!!! the first one I thought of was chiaki, because I think it suits her personality and purpose for being created really well. it looks like someone chihiro would design, the colors are soothing and I feel like I can hug her
36. Character who looks amazing but you don’t like: himiko and kirumi you’re gorgeous but kinda boring and undeveloped I’m sorry-
46. Unpopular headcanon: all of my gender/sexuality hcs arent as popular as I’d wish— also a lot of weird sibling hcs—
77. What do you think of the fandom: I joined it recently compared to most people and I know there’s uhh. cough cough sides of it that aReNt gReAT BUT all of the people I’ve personally met and talked to it about are very sweet and wonderful!!!!
90. Do you like Junko: YES okay not because I think she’s redeemable but I’m SUCH A SLUT FOR A GOOD ANTAGONIST. the way she’s supposed to be a villain with no reason to do what she does and no way to reason with her is so fun, and psycho-analyzing her like. YES. SO INTERESTING. also fucbfkin hot
95. What do you think of Gundham Tanaka: WONDERFUL CHILD I have lots of hcs for him and I think he deserves all the good things in life. his trial was heartbreaking. boyfriends with kazuichi

Dusty’s Plot Wishlist
Apparently I didn’t have one, or at least not one up to date on this blog, so I figured I’d fix that! Here’s a list of wanted plots that I’m absolutely interested in carrying out with anybody. Some of these are super muse specific and others are generic, but if your muse fits the criteria for any of these, by all means hit me up and we can discuss it! More will be added to this list when I can think of ‘em.
General
Music Session with Leon. It doesn’t matter what sorta style your muse likes. Let ‘em play around on instruments, sing alone or jam on headphones.
Prank Wars. Doesn’t matter if they’re between Leon and your muse, or if they team up to cause mischief around the community. Just. Let. Them. Be. Devils.
Clothing-Related? I don’t even know what to say about this but... Leon is completely down for dress up selfie shoots or just trying on the weirdest styles. Hell, he’ll buy whatever looks good on either him or your muse.
Competitive Sports. By all means, challenge Leon to a game of something. It doesn’t even hafta be baseball; He’s gonna agree to it anyway and they’re gonna go ridiculously hard even if it’s something as simple as thumb wrestling. Just gotta be enthusiastic.
Sibling-like Relationship. Leon’s cool with friends, romantic partners and bros, but where’s the relationships where he just bonds with someone so well that they may as well become honorary siblings in each other’s family? Leon’s an only child for the most part so y’know, let him have an honorary sib.
Cooking. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH THIS MOTHERFUCKIN’ MICROWAVE MASTER HOW TO COOK PLEASE.
Carnival Outing. Oh fuck yeah. Leon would love any sort of amusement park or carnival. Of course he’d also win every single prize at any carnival game booth that involved throwing, but y’know, all’s fair.
General Text Threads. Not exactly a plot, but I don’t really have a lot of texting threads, and for good reason. I would sorta wanna see some goofy relationship building in text format though. Since Leon does love social media and his phone.
Working Out/Locker Room Shenanigans. Pretty much his home territory. Let him be a ridiculous fool where he feels natural.
READING WITH LEON. Teach the boy to appreciate a good book, please. Your muse can read comics and manga with him as usual, but he really needs to appreciate any book sometime before he becomes an independent adult.
Post-HPA Verse (’After Graduation’)
Literally any hanging out/catching up threads. ‘Oh we haven’t seen each other much since graduating from HPA, but we still sorta keep in touch and now we’re actually making an effort to rekindle our relationship.’
Leon’s Professional Baseball Games. Go out and accompany him to a game. Let him perform for you, whether you’re a platonic or romantic companion, he’s gonna make each game special for YOU alone.
Interviews. Post-HPA Leon’s a super successful athlete after all. He’s gonna be doing interviews. If your muse wants to come along, maybe even somehow get roped into the interview alongside Leon, that’s absolutely rad.
Travel Threads. You wanna go someplace? Let’s do it then. Doesn’t matter where, just up and go. Leon’s down, he’s got the money, just pick up and go on a week’s trip to wherever the hell you want. All he asks is that you let him take a ton of selfies while he’s there.
And of course, develop a full relationship that carries on into his adult life.
Survivor Verse (FF Verse)
Excursions into the apocalyptic cities. Sure there’s gonna be some risked lives, but... Why not actually go out there and achieve some of the FF bureaus’ goals? Leon’s game is public relations, but aside from a bodyguard or accompanying moral support, the sky’s sorta the limit for creativity otherwise.
Despair Information Session. Leon doesn’t and wouldn’t know everything anyway. He’s not really the most information-savvy guy, but he’d want to know what happened with his older classmates.
I’m gonna list these two in here as well, because like, I don’t REALLY have a specific verse for these but they’re closer to survivor than anything else so.
MEETING MASARU. That’s... That’s the plot. Let Leon meet his mini-me.
I dunno, I always sorta wanted a Komaeda-esque relationship with Leon and the WoH. Leon’s probably able to serve them and entertain them. In a weird way, despite the whole killing thing, he could see it as amusing enough. Hey, if he’s living, all’s good, in his mind. It could be fun to see how he interacts with each of the WoH I guess, y’know? A demon, but not the worst demon.
Muse-Specific
Leon and Sayaka/Kaede/Ibuki discussing music. Leon would be more attentive to what they hafta say, and it’s kinda a big deal for him to learn from them.
Leon defying Ishimaru. Oh please. Ishimaru can try to write Leon up all he wants, but that doesn’t mean he’s gonna listen. Leon doesn’t hate the guy, but he’s gonna tease him about being uptight, then try to understand him, maybe.
Leon and Junko discussing social media/interviews/fan life. Y’know, if she isn’t completely despair-ridden at that point, it could be a good point of conversation.
Goatee Bros. That’s... That’s the plot. Kaito where you at dude.
Leon and Amami traveling. Where the fuck to? Who knows? Who cares? They’d look great doin’ it, and they’d both be adventurous af.
Leon and Amami talking fashion/accessories. Also, I mean, there IS that one picture of Amami ‘jokingly’ painting Leon’s nails... Hmm...
Leon cool-mentoring the dweebs. PRETTY MUCH gonna be Naegi/Saihara/Souda(?)/Hajime(?) among other muses. Leon’s super outgoing and as long as they give him the time of day, he’s gonna break ‘em outta their shells and comfort zones and make them a little better socially.
Leon and Komaeda fucking destroying the carnival/arcade. Between their luck and skill, they’d clean the place out so easily wtf.
Leon and Saihara/Kirigiri/Chihiro/Byakuya/Toko/Kirumi/??? There were others, but mainly... Educate the boy. Please. Figure out a way to make the boy smarter without destroying his will to be in school completely.
Leon and Tsumugi Cosplay Hour. Hey, as long as he looks good and cool, he’ll wear literally anything. Considering the amount of times he’s changed his look, he’s pretty chameleon-like. He’ll find a way.
I’m still 1000% down for Leon and a bro roommate. Specifically a dude to room with though. Any in particular? Nah.
TBD??? More???

V3: The RPG
Everyone knows Junko loves playing high-stakes games with her classmates, but sometimes even she can enjoy something for the more casual player.
I wrote this a couple months ago as a late birthday present for @jinjojess, but since V3 just released in English, I decided to post this. Warning, this has MAJOR V3 spoilers, so don’t read if you haven't finished the game.
Words: 2241 Rating: Teen (like honestly, it's general but there are swears so) Characters: Tsumugi Shirogane,Shuichi Saihara, Yasuhiro Hagakure, Junko Enoshima, Touko Fukawa, Hifumi Yamada, Sakura Ogami, Kyoko Kirigiri, Makoto Naegi, Mukuro Ikusaba, Byakuya Togami (mentioned), Leon Kuwata (mentioned), Maki Harukawa (mentioned), Himiko Yumeno (mentioned), Ki-Bo (mentioned), Chihiro Fujisaki (mentioned)
The atmosphere was tense as a terrible realization was looming among everyone’s minds, it had finally become clear to the ‘students’ of Gifted Inmates Academy that their belief that they were the last survivors of humanity and former students was just a lie that had been implanted in their minds by the Ringleader of the Killing Game they were forced into, the girl with the Super High School Level Cosplay talent known as Tsumugi Shirogane. The truth behind everything had become apparent to the student, but it was a truth that seemed so impossible to them that they couldn’t quite grasp it, even with how obvious it had become.
"If what I had said about my inability to cosplay real people is true, then what does that mean about Hope's Peak Academy?" Although Tsumugi had lied about many things, she remained steadfast that she was unable to cosplay as real, living people and yet there she was, disguised as Makoto Naegi, the supposed Super High School Level Hope of the Hope’s Peak Academy Killing Game. Any possible options were wiped out by the fact that she was able to dress this way without getting sick, there was only one answer for here question.
Elsewhere, far away (in a manner of speaking) from the trial that was happening with the students of Gifted Inmates Academy, a voice whispered ("Wait... Enoshima-chi, am I reading this right?")
("Yeah, just read it already,") another voiced responded hurriedly.
"Could it be that it's... fictional?!" the Super High School Level Detective Saihara Shuichi finally responded to Tsumugi’s question. Almost as if it was a direct response to his answer, Shirogane changed costumes. Her speed was remarkable, in the blink of an eye, she managed to completely change her look from Naegi to Byakuya Togami, the Super High School Level Scion.
"That's right, the Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History never actually took place in reality. Yeah, Hope's Peak and the Future Foundation and the Remnants of Despair, they don't exi-"
"A-all right, I've heard enough of this!" Another voice from elsewhere broke through the scene that was going on, completely disrupting it.
"HUH?! Aren't you supposed to be dead?!" Junko Enoshima said testily, clearly annoyed by the sudden intrusion.
“Y-you know that’s not what I-I’m talking about!”
In Hope’s Peak Academy’s Rec Room, Touko Fukawa was trying her best to look confrontational towards the group of six that were huddled around a table filled with notes and drawings and character sheets. Hifumi Yamada, Sakura Ogami, Kyoko Kirigiri, Makoto Naegi, Yasuhiro Hagakure, and finally Junko Enoshima turned in their chairs to look at the girl who had been lingering about listening to their roleplay.
“You’re weird meta narrative was b-bad enough, but I won’t have you dragging Byakuya-sama’s name through the mud with that terrible impression of him!”
“Hey, don’t blame me, I’m just following Junko Enoshima-dono’s instructions, being the Ringleader isn’t as fun as you’d think it’d be with the DM basically breathing down your back,” Hifumi Yamada sighed. As the Super High School Level Doujin Writer, he’d just wanted to play as a character that shared his love of fiction but that was pretty much pinned down when Junko revealed to him that he was the Mastermind and had to try to blend into the background. Now that they were at the forefront of everything, he barely had any control over what she did.
“Actually, that’s a genuine point of criticism for me as well,” Kyoko spoke up, “Quite honestly, I haven’t really been putting any effort into playing for a while. I wasn’t expecting much challenge from the mysteries you set up, so that wasn’t an issue for me but… Forcing my character into a romantic subplot with Kuwata’s wasn’t the direction I was hoping to take Harukawa.”
“Hey!” Junko pretended to snap, she knew that her friends would get pissed off like this at the last minute but honestly she had too much fun fucking with them in the game and this final outburst was almost entertaining even with how predictable it was. The feeling of being frustrated at not being allowed to play how you wanted and the feeling of being totally cornered by your friends in a heated argument, they were despair, they might’ve been a mundane kind of despair, one that wouldn’t normally satisfy her, but they were definitely despair.
“I wouldn’t have had to force you guys into so many weird spots if you’d break out of your comfort zone. Look at Ogami, she’s roleplaying as a tiny magician girl who barely puts effort into anything, her total opposite, and how many times have I pushed her into a weird spot? Basically zero.”
“I don’t appreciate being used as an example like this,” Sakura said, “While it’s true that I took our game as an exercise to try to put myself in a different mindset, I don’t feel that everyone else should be forced into a characterization that feels alien to them or makes them feel uncomfortable. Besides, my character has barely had any major effect on the overarching plot.”
“Yeah, I haven’t really spoken up about this,” Makoto started to speak up, “But that whole shift that Ki-Bo did earlier in the chapter was kinda the opposite of what I was going for with him. And to have it turn out that the character that I’ve been playing as it completely dependent on some inner conscience before turning into someone who’s as disagreeable as that…”
“Naegi-chi, you’re completely overreacting, all of you are,” Yasuhiro laughed, “Enoshima-chi has been fine about controlling out character, sure sometimes she needs to keep things on the rails, but she’s been a great DM. I have literally no complaints about how my character has been handled at all!”
“W-what are you talking about?! You’re literally the worst out of all of us!” Touko shot out.
“Yeah, Junko Enoshima-dono has basically been sock-puppeting your character from that very beginning,” Hifumi joined in, “And you’ve just been taking credit for solving all the mysteries by yourself!”
“Hey?! What are you guys talking about? Everything I’ve done has been totally all me! Enoshima-chi hasn’t given me any direction at all!” Yasuhiro waved his hands panickedly in a dismissive notion, accidentally revealing the notes that Junko had told him to follow.
“You’re h-holding the script in your hands right in front of us, you moron!”
“Well… Why do you even care about all this anyway, Fukawa-chi?! Fujisaki-chi killed your character off two whole chapters ago!”
“I-I’ve already invested hours of my life into this stupid game already, there’s no way I’m not going at least see the dumb ending,” Touko said, “Besides, I couldn’t find where Byakuya-sama wondered off to… A-actually, I haven’t seen anyone else all day except all of you and I’m having some writer’s block so I don’t really have a choice but to listen in.”
“Come on, Hagakure. You really haven’t been paying much attention,” Makoto said, “I mean, you didn’t even pick up that everything we’d been told was a lie and even I was able to piece together that much. Although, I’m sure Kirigiri had pretty much figured everything, right Kirigiri?”
It was then that everyone realized that Kyoko had slipped out of the room while everyone was caught up in their arguments without any noticing. The realization of her sudden absence tripped the conversation, causing a silence in the room.
“Well it seems that we won’t be able to finish our game today after all,” Sakura spoke up, “Enoshima, given the discussion that has been inflamed, perhaps you could share the ending that you had in mind for the conclusion of your campaign since I don’t think anyone seems to be interested in continuing with this storyline any longer.
Junko was bored. She should’ve expected this (in fact, she did expect this) but the charm of that mundane, everyday despair she felt had quickly worn off and her excitement had waned to nothingness. Junko quickly glanced at the clock and wondered where Mukuro was. Knowing her useless sister, she’d gotten cold feet and Touko’s inability to find anyone was just because everyone was avoiding her gross smell.
“Well…” Junko explain in intricate detail exactly what she had planned out: about how this was DanganRonpa V3, DanganRonpa 53; how she didn’t know roman numerals fucking worked; how those who survived were at the mercy of their audience and how they’d sacrifice themselves to give the audience an ending they didn’t want by destroying the school with them inside; and how they’d miraculously survive through the falling rubble while Tsumugi and Ki-Bo perished, “And then the campaign would close with you questioning if what Shirogane told you about your personalities being fake was even true in the first place.”
Junko looked around the room at everyone: Touko and Hifumi both had dumbstruck looks on their face in disbelief of the terrible ending Junko had in mind for their characters, Makoto rocked back and forth in his seat slightly with an indecisive look on his face, Sakura’s front was readily readable but Junko knew that she thought the ending was bad but was keeping her criticism to herself. She noticed Touko take a look around the room herself. Upon seeing Hifumi’s shared expression, she spoke up.
“O-okay, when you make me share a literary opinion with a hack like this who only writes immature garbage, then it sh-should be obvious that you cannot in any way or form craft a story. The e-ending was fine enough even if it was a little rough until that epilogue j-just completely destroys what you were working for.”
“Not to mention this campaign feels like the sequel to a game that doesn’t exist yet. I mean this is the fifty-third Killing Game and yet we don’t know about a single one other than that one of them apparently involved alternate version of us? In fact, I don’t get what you were going for with that at all, why did it use some alternate history where we were locked up into Killing Game instead of safe in the bunker? This whole game it just doesn’t work at all, Junko Enoshima-dono.” Hifumi added to Touko’s criticism and Sakura silently nodded in agreement.
“I don’t know…” Makoto said, coming to Junko’s defense, “I kind of liked it a bit. It’s a little hokey, but I’d really prefer that everybody not die in the end. If I had one criticism, I’d probably have Ki-Bo turn out to be all right after all and be able to function without Team DanganRonpa’s interference. Like… Maybe one of the upgrade Iruma gave him ended up letting him be able break their control and be free and they found him, still alive in the rubble. Something like that. It’s like a surprise plot twist, but in a happy way.”
 Everyone stared at Makoto.
“Yeah, you get totally get what I was going for there, Naegi! I just wanted an ending that made all the dreary despair leave you heart. To let the players know that from there on out everything would be okay. It’s an ending where hope wins,” the words that came out of Junko’s mouth physically pained her and she loved it before dryly adding,”…Again.”
Almost as if on cue, a small round canister rolled into the room and clinked against the table where everyone was gathered.
 “Huh, what’s-“
“Ugh, finally she’s here,” Junko said as she quickly pulled out a gas mask from under the cushion of the chair she was sitting on and strapped it over head, “It’s about time you arrived, Mukuro!”
The canister exploded into a gas cloud that started suffocating Junko’s classmates and slowly caused them to become sluggish and lose consciousness.
“Junko-chan, I’m here,” Mukuro Ikusaba, the Super High School Level Soldier and Junko Enoshima’s twin sister, muffled through a mask as she walked the cloud of gas that was overtaking the room. Mukuro hadn’t talked to her sister since her character was murdered in the game, but today was the day that they had set to finally put their plan into motion and so, after waffling about whether she should start to go through with it or not before talking to Junko, she stuck to what they had arranged.
“I’m sorry that I’m a little late… And for killing you in the game.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll pay you back for it later, now shut up and go find Kirigiri since she slipped out of here while you were off being useless, I’m gonna speechify here.”
As Mukuro left the room to hunt down her last remaining classmate, Junko cleared her throat to speak with her semi-conscious classmates, “None of you guys need to worry about how fucking terrible that roleplay was (and yes I know it was fucking terrible for you guys to play through, do you really think anyone with a basic grasp on the ability to DM would godmod characters that much and lead it to such a mediocre ending), for when next you wake, you will have forgotten everything… Well not everything everything, more like everything since we first came to this dump three years ago. Oh and don’t worry, I’m taking all of your criticisms of New DanganRonpa V3 into account for our next campaign: DanganRonpa: The Academy of Hope and the High School Students of Despair. Think of it as a prequel!”

alright. ok. i’ve calmed down enough to talk about drv3 now. definitely a lot of spoilers under the cut so don’t even think about looking if you care about spoilers
overall impression: holy fuck.
just. holy fuck.
alright, for real, the game starts off really fuckin’ good with a super strong ch1. the “the killer was you all along” reveal as well as protag switch was done SUPER well, the hints sprinkled throughout the chapter that kaede had something going on immediately fit together like pieces of a puzzle. i also really liked that the layout on the student handbook immediately changed with the protag switch, something i only noticed because i’m a spastic saver. it was really good and i understand now why kodaka’s been so proud of it for so long, stating it’s his favorite case that he’s written so far. it was really well done and i was delighted.
then, chapters 2 and 3 were kind of... less satisfying. i don’t know if i’m just slow and didn’t really understand the reasoning behind everything, but the culprit reveals kinda fell short and their motivations were... less interesting than any other culprit’s. i did think it was funny how obviously there was gonna be a locked-room mystery in ch3, what with the sudden access to a room that could only be locked from the inside, but it was kind of easy to figure out. i will say that the only execution that had me in tears was kirumi’s, for the simple reason that she TRIED SO HARD and her struggles were rendered completely meaningless when it turned out the outside world she struggled so hard to reach wasn’t accessible. it seriously pained me to watch someone who tried so hard not be able to reach their goal, for some reason. it really affected me.
ch4 really picked it up again, though. i really felt for gonta who had to accept that he’d committed a crime that he had no memory of. i think it might even be my favorite case of the entire game. it’s also the case that really solidified kokichi’s place as my favorite character in the game. it’s ALSO the case where i feel like the lying gimmick was done the best, since in every trial there is at least one point where you’re required to lie, and the previous lies had kind of fallen short imo. ch1 did it alright enough - i don’t really remember the lie you were required to tell anymore, tbh - but in ch2 and 3 it kinda felt like the game was trying to make you feel bad for telling a lie you were required to tell. i didn’t take any of the opportunities to lie willingly, mostly because my brain isn’t wired to figure out where lying would work or not and figuring out the truth is just the easiest way to solve things for me, so i don’t know if the game treats you the same in those cases or not, but when the game’s just pointing at you like “haha you lied! and everyone believed you!! don’t you feel bad??” it just doesn’t hit home imo. but in ch4, where you’re lying about kokichi’s lie to his face, it just feels so SATISFYING. like, this is the character whose lies have been twisting everything around all the time, and using his own lie against him that way just feels good. like, kokichi, i love you, but come on.
ch5 was interesting in its own way, too. your own theories on what happened kept getting thrown around throughout the trial in a way that made you doubt the truth up until you actually saw it for yourself - that kaito survived and that kokichi was the victim - and the conclusion was satisfying in its own way like that. i also really liked kaito’s execution, what with him dying before it’s actually finished. it was a sort of bittersweet moment; on one hand, it’s sad that he died, but on the other, it was a great victory that he died before the execution was finished, thus beating monokuma at his own game... kind of?
ch6...
ch6.
i just beat it and i honestly still don’t know what to think.
on one hand, the entire last trial was RAVING. INSANE. i’m only feeling so drained right now because it was so crazy. i’m really glad my flatmate left so she wouldn’t have to be exposed to my bouts of crazed laughter over just how absurd everything is.
on the other, what the fuck? what? how? who gave you the right
for serious, that ending was so weird and unexpected. i mean, it’s brilliant? but i’m also still extremely lost in all the lies and truths and what’s real and what’s not.
like, i’m just. i don’t know. it’s so crazy i can barely put it into words.
for starters, i’d kind of jokingly thought to myself stuff like “what if tsumugi’s the mastermind, wouldn’t that be crazy”, but i never.... actually..... expected it. to happen. it was just so totally and completely out of nowhere, but still made perfect sense. so revealing her as, actually, the mastermind just kinda... broke me? and i just sat there laughing at the ceiling for probably a solid minute.
second, acknowledging danganronpa as fiction just.... wow. i never, ever, in my wildest dreams, would have expected that. like i can’t BELIEVE kodaka did that. it’s GENIUS but i never would’ve expected it.
third, JUNKO. KODAKA. SERIOUSLY. YOU JUST FUCKING HAD TO. people have been joking about this sort of shit for YEARS and you just UP AND FUCKING DO IT.
but, okay. the insane points isn’t what really gets to me. it’s the LIES. the knowledge that EVERYTHING’S BEEN A LIE. or, has it? how much is lies and how much is the truth? i already figured in ch5 that the flashback lights may not contain the truth. at least when everyone started thinking that kokichi was a remnant of despair. i didn’t believe it for a second, mostly because my understanding of the nature of the remnants of despair has been that they’re a leaderless group, only kept together by the common desire to spread despair and carry out junko’s will.
so, the personalities and memories of all the characters were all lies. right? everything they were was part of their new, written, fictional personalities that they received through the fake memories from the flashback lights, right? the world of danganronpa is fictional, right?
i think i lost my train of thought. i swear i was going somewhere with this, but the lies are still twisting around in my brain.
actually, maybe i can figure out something from this. tsumugi’s comment on being a “cosplaycat criminal” just really bothers me. my overall impression’s been so far that people in dr are the most genuine when death is almost upon them, which leads me to believe that maybe, maybe there is something behind that comment. since it’s one of her last lines before getting executed by keebo. it’s been a pattern i’ve noticed in many other characters’ deaths, what with junko dropping her cheerful facade seconds before getting crushed to death in dr1 and nagito dying with a fearful expression (which i still continue to interpret as him regretting choosing death for whatever reason, reasons i have multiple theories on but no confirmed answer).
anyway, my personal theory is that tsumugi may be a copycat criminal basing her crime entirely on a fictional setting. inspired by danganronpa, she chose to infiltrate the next season and set up an actual, real killing game within the fictional setting, involving all the previously willing participants. the watchers, made out in-game to be cruel and indulging in despair, may be completely unaware of the fact that the people dying are dying for real.
ok this has gone on long enough. the twist ending was just so twisty, i’m still trying to untangle it in my brain and figure out what’s truth and what’s lies. it’s absolutely brilliant but also so crazy and insane that i can’t really wrap my head around it. hopefully some days’ recovery (and free time events and dating minigames) will put my overheated brain at peace.
long story short, it’s a really good game, but also infinite times more crazy than the previous titles. kodaka’s really gone all out in the “what can i get away with doing” department and it really shows. i can’t help but wonder if kodaka meant for the finale to call out the audience for being cruel and reveling in despair but hey, he’s not wrong so, y’know. also i’ve heard he really got to do stuff he’s dreamed of doing in danganronpa games before, which i suspect is referring specifically to the themes of “you were the killer all along,” the locked room murder (i don’t really think nagito’s murder-suicide in sdr2 counts as it’s pretty clear throughout investigation that his wounds are self-inflicted), a culprit who’s unaware of their own crime and the unknowable victim/culprit. at least those are all themes that i figure must’ve been a lot of fun to come up with and write.
it’s just. it’s crazy and insane but it’s so satisfying. i have started considering the sdr2 ending to be a bit anticlimactic, what with the whole “everybody lives” message (which feels cruel when you consider that the deaths in the first killing game, where the participants just happened to be involved, really died, while the participants in the second killing game, who were all followers of junko, were allowed to live), but this ending is just... mad. three survivors out of 16 and an open conclusion, similar to the conclusion of dr1, where you don’t really get to see what the outside world is like at all.
okay i seriously need to stop rambling i don’t even know what i’m talking about anymore. i very much enjoyed my time with this game, is the bottom line. i’m gonna make a screenshot compilation of some of my favorite screenshots now, probably

*As Kyoji walks through the halls, he hears the announcement that Karma has been defeated*
Karma-San….it’s okay. We’ll get through this…and I promise I’ll help you.
—-
*The day after the party*
Kyoji is hard at work doing science
Karma: KYOJI!
Kyoji: GYSHI!
He nearly drops a vial before it hits the floor, but catches it in time.
Karma, hey! Haven’t seen you in a while.
Karma: How is my good friend doing?
Kyoji: Well, current circumstances are….less than favorable. Although I did have a nice reprieve last night.
Karma: I dunno what that word means but good for you.
Kyoji: But a word of advice? Don’t ever mix alcohol, drugs, and candy. You will regret it the next day. Anyway, how goes things with you?
Karma: Well, I don’t seem to remember much of the party. I think Orochi and I had an interesting conversation of some sorts. And then I think Naomi and I… kissed?
Kyoji: Hehehe, really now? I don’t remember too much either. I think I was talking about Junko, then threw up. Or maybe it was the other way around.
Karma: I seem to remember you vomiting. And what was with that laugh?
Kyoji: Just kinda funny is all. I mean, you’ve been wrapped up in this love triangle with Junpei and Orochi for some time now. How’d Naomi get involved?
Karma: She just started making out with me and I went along with it!
Kyoji: Ooohhh, now I see. When did the higher-ups start letting you kids have booze?
Karma: People at the Agency actually considered me an alcoholic and put me in rehab. Same goes for marijuana.
Kyoji: I’d say something about that, but…I may have some oxycodone last night, so I’m not really in any position to judge.
Karma: Oxycodone?
Kyoji: Pain med. Seiko gave me some after I got my upgrades. I take it with a shot of morphine everyday so I can move without screaming in agony.
Karma: Hm.
Kyoji: You ever crush your finger in a door?
Karma: Duh.
Kyoji: Imagine that feeling all over your body. That’s how I’d feel on a regular basis without the stuff.
Karma: You’re an idiot for doing that shit to yourself.
Kyoji: I’m not gonna spend this event stuck in a lab. If I can go out on the front lines to help people, I’m going.
Karma: You can learn do front line things naturally. Hell, I spent 13 years trapped in a basement and I’m already in the top ranks.
Kyoji: ….*sighs* I don’t want to fight anyone.
Karma: …eh?
Kyoji: I just want help people. That’s all. But why is that so hard to accomplish? Why does every tragedy lead into another?
Karma: Because life is bullshit and is meant to torment us.
Kyoji: Pff. I wish that were the case. At least then things would make sense. But hey, no use being morose about it. Just gotta keep at it.
Karma: Life doesn’t have to be morbid to not make sense.
Kyoji: You don’t have to tell me twice. *He looks away* Innocent people go to death row, but I get to go free.
Karma: Dude that’s just how life works. I torture people for my own pleasure. Going so far as to fucking chew off people’s heads like a wild animal, and I get to work for the future foundation.
Kyoji: You ever heard of Operation Paperclip?
Karma: No
Kyoji: It was an operation conducted by the United States to recruit over 1,600 former Nazi scientists, technicians, and other specialists to help them against the Soviet Union. One of them provided the details on rocket technology, and that’s how they got the first men on the moon during the Apollo project.
Karma: Your point?
Kyoji: Life is weird like that. People who’ve done terrible things can end up contributing to society in some of the most meaningful ways.
Karma: Sure, sure. That’s not what I’m here to talk about though.
Kyoji: Sorry, I got really philosophical again, heh. What did you need?
Karma: …could you do the examination?
Kyoji: Huh? Oh! Right! Of course, of course!
Karma: Like… now?
Kyoji: Absolutely. If you’re comfortable with it.
Karma: Mhm.
Kyoji: Alright, please follow me. *He leads karma to another lab. One with a large table in the center and a large metallic ring on the ceiling*
Karma: Oh wow this brings back memories.
Kyoji: It’s a biometric scanner. Basically, it’s like a 3D MRI, but far more accurate.
Karma: Huh. So do I just lie down? Do I need to change?
Kyoji: A hospital gown would be preferable, yes. There’s a changing room right over there.
Karma: Oh. You’re actually giving me a changing room. They didn’t give me one last time. Made me change in front of them and shit.
Kyoji: Well, no need to worry about that here. Take your time. And no cameras in there, I promise.
Karma: I didn’t even think about cameras…*they head off to change*
He turns the machine on. It emits a low humming noise
Karma: *they come back in the gown, still wearing their hat*
Kyoji: Alright, all you gotta do is lay down and this shouldn’t take too long
Karma: You’re not gonna make me take my hat off? :DDD
Kyoji: nah, it’s fine
Karma: Thank goodness. It keeps my hair over my ey- Kyoji this won’t show you any burns or cuts right?
Kyoji: Only on one layer. This is designed to differentiate different body systems. But I promise I won’t look at it if it bothers you.
Karma: That’s still gonna show… I may as well say it myself instead of cowering. My right eye is severely burned, and I have… self harm scars on my thighs.
Kyoji: I have the names of all the friends we lost carved into my forearm.
Karma: What? Dude the most I have is a tattoo of the numbers 203 on my ankle what the fuck?
Kyoji: One of those people…was my creation. She’s the closest thing I had to a child. I can’t let myself forget that. Nor any of the others.
Karma: …can I see?
Kyoji pulls down his sleeve. The names are all there in prominent scar tissue
Karma: *they kiss their fingers and then run them along the carvings*
Kyoji: Um…personal space?
Karma: Er- sorry.
Kyoji: He laughs Its alright. The best thing we can do for all of them is to keep moving forward.
Karma: Y-yeah.
Kyoji: Now come on, let’s finally get the examination done.
Karma: *they hop up onto the table and lay down*
Kyoji: Alright, let’s get started.
He hits a few buttons and the table turns upward a bit. The ring, which is mount to a set of robot arms, comes down and encircles the portion of the table around Karma’s head. Blue lights on the interior light up. The ring moves down to the end, then back up before returning to the ceiling. On the other side of the room, a 3-D image of a human body appears on a computer screen
Karma: Well?
Kyoji: I’m taking a look and…what the….
Karma: Yeah it should be weird. Seeing someone have male and female sex organs isn’t supposed to be normal.
Kyoji: No, this goes beyond just that. I’m seeing sets of multiple digestive and endocrine organs as well.
Karma: Huh?
Kyoji: And there’s….a second heart as well…now it makes sense.
Karma: I have two hearts?
Kyoji: Yes. When you told me you have both male and female reproductive organs, I thought maybe this was the actual cause. You see…you’re not really intersex.
Karma: ….I’m not?
Kyoji: You’ve heard of conjoined twins, right? When a fertilized egg fails to full separate into two babies, the fetuses end up merged together. There’s a step down from that. Where one twin can end up subsumed by the other. A parasitic twin.
Karma: What are you saying?
Kyoji: *He sighs* When I tell you, I don’t want you to think too much about it, okay? It’s not something you had any control over. It was an involuntary biological function you had no conscious awareness of.
Karma: …..
Kyoji: Basically, you could’ve had a twin. Whether brother or sister, I can’t completely say. But the two of you ended up merging together in-utero. Those additional organs aren’t supernumerary congenital mutations. They’re from your sibling.
Karma: …I’m two people?
Kyoji: No. I don’t see a second brain anywhere, so it’s unlikely your twin would have survived even if they were born. You’re still you. You and your twin just ended up merged together.
Karma: I- I killed them.
Kyoji: No, you didn’t. I don’t see any traces of brain tissue outside your skull. It’s very unlikely your sibling would’ve survived even if this didn’t happen. It’s quite the contrary, actually. You’re keeping their organs alive.
Karma: You’re lying I killed them. Or- or maybe they killed me.
Kyoji: Why would I lie to you about this? Just listen. Sanju Bhagat was an Indian man who had a very prominent gut for 36 years. In 1999, he went in for surgery because doctors thought it was a tumor, but that that’s when they found he actually had a parasitic twin. It had fully-formed feet, hands, hair, and even fingernails that were several inches long. The twin survived in this state by feeding off the nutrients Bhagat consumed.
Karma: What is your point? Your lying because you don’t want me to freak out. Well that’s too late.
Kyoji: Listen to me for one second, okay! You asked me to provide you with an examination. I did. Now I’m giving you the results and telling you what they mean. You really think I’d lie to you about all this? I’m not.
He turns the screen toward Karma
Here it is, clear as day. These are the results. You have additional organs, including a secondary set of genitals. That’s the truth. But you didn’t kill your sibling. You were a non-sentient mass of cells that merged with another, less complete mass of cells.
Karma: The other doctors lied to me. You’re surely doing the same. This is why I refuse to speak to Miaya.
Kyoji: Really? After I’ve tried to help you, turned you away from Maverick, granted you a power to help protect you, wanted to make sure you got out of Hope’s Peak safe, helped you back at the mansion, and offered to help you understand something about yourself, you really think I would lie now of all times?
Karma: I’d lie to me.
Kyoji: Well I wouldn’t. If I wanted to lie to you, I would’ve just said you had supernumerary organs. That’s a lie. But this isn’t some big dramatic reveal on how you’ve been a killer since before birth. That’s a load of bullshit. This is just a thing that happened. You had no conscious control over any of it.
Karma: You’re lying. You’re not my friend. You never were my friend. You want to hurt me. You want to make sure I’m never happy. You hate me. You’re trying to use me for some purpose. You want to take me back to the Agency and make me work there again. You’re here to hurt me and I can’t believe I didn’t realize this!
Kyoji stands up, walks over, and hugs her
Karma: Let go of me! You want to hurt me!
Kyoji: No, I dont. I just want to hug.
Karma: You’re going to stab me. You’re going to stab me with your weird body horror shit!
Kyoji: I could’ve done that at any time. But I’m not going to.
Karma: Why are you hugging me? You want to hurt me.
Kyoji: No I don’t. I wanted to hug you because I thought you needed a hug.
Karma: I don’t- Kyoji I’m fine. I just- I don’t-
Kyoji: Please. Just let me hug you, okay?
Karma: *they simply start to cry*
Kyoji: It’s okay. It’s okay. Just let it all out, alright?
Karma: I- I’m sorry. It’s my- It- It’s my- My Disorder- I- I can’t-
Kyoji: I understand. You’re talking to a medical expert, after all.
Karma: I hate it. I hate everything. I hate myself.
Kyoji: I feel that way sometimes. But it’s okay. You just need a little help is all.
Karma: Please don’t leave me alone.
Kyoji: *hugs her tigher* I promise I won’t.
Karma: I’m supposed to be a fucking adult in Canada and here I’m crying like a small child…
Kyoji: You’re allowed to cry regardless of your age
Karma: That’s the first time I’ve been told that.
Kyoji: Well it’s true. Especially here.
Karma: *they take some deep breaths* You sure I didn’t kill them?
Kyoji: Of course. It was a non-conscious biological occurrence. If anything, you’re keeping the last vestiges of them alive.
Karma: What am I?
Kyoji: You’re Karma Graves. You’re a human being.
Karma: I don’t even know what gender I’m supposed to be. Humans have genders right?
Kyoji: Yes. But it’s not a 50/50 split. You can be whoever or whatever you want to be.
Karma: I don’t know who I am or what I am.
Kyoji: It’s okay. I can help you figure out.
Karma: You’d do that?
Kyoji: Absolutely!
Karma: ….thank you.
Kyoji: You’re welcome. Miaya would be more than willing to help you as well, you know.
Karma: yeah…
Kyoji: She’s helped me a lot. She can help you too.
Karma: I may see her. I’m not sure yet.
Kyoji: I can go with you if you want
Karma: …that would actually help a lot.
Kyoji: Good. You wanna go now or later?
Karma: …later.
Kyoji: Alrighty. So…what do you wanna do now?
Karma: Fuck if I know.
Kyoji: Hmmm….you wanna go watch a movie or something?
Karma: Uh- sure. Why not?
Kyoji: Then let us be off! We shall watch Government Witches from Outer Space!

Note
2-10, 15-20, 26-29, 31-33, 37, 45-48, 51, 52, 59, 60, 63, 67-73, 81, 97, 99, 100
puttin under a read more cause it got long snksnksnskn
2. Favourite protagonist?
i’m gunna be real, i like playing as hajime a lot plus theres some moments where he’s being ridiculous and you’re powerless to stop it so you’re just there, face in your hands, losing your shit snickering.
3. Favourite antagonistic character?
points at my url gently...i know i’m an izuru kinnie but i think he has a lot of nuance espec cause he can fit an antagonist role while still being generally neutral on the havoc he wreaks
4. Favourite character?
i’m very bad at choosing but taka was my first fave and the first character i ever grew attached to that was ripped from me so i’m gonna say taka
5. Best girl?
hina, sakura, ibuki, peko, miu!!! i think my “type” is the girls who are either super stoic or super energetic pffft
6. Best boy?
i already talked abt taka earlier so kazuichi and leon are my beloved weenies
7. Favourite class trial from all the games?
the last class trial in the first game where you as makoto get to earn the title ultimate hope and the mastermind is finally revealed after the 20+ hours of grief and struggle you’ve just been put through and you get that satisfying ending of the mastermind paying for their crimes and everyone getting to go free is just...so good and so climactic i adore it
8. Least favourite character?
if i was in a room and my choices were to delete hifumi yamada from existence and die or survive while having hifumi yamada remain in this world i would choose to sacrifice myself
9. Least favourite class trial?
probably the second one in the first game, because it had all the things i was upset with. the way the genocide jack/jill and toko situation was handled was awful even with it taken in consideration that the game usually uses very trope-y characters, and the whooole thing with chihiro is uncomfortable for the entire trial, and then it all ends with an execution where if you think about it too much it makes your stomach whirl
10. What would be your Ultimate Title?
hmmm something like ultimate tarot card reader or ultimate divination/psychic maybe!!!
15. Your absolute OTP?
oh god i ship everything...i like komahina a lot though even tho i have another handful of ships for hajime
16. Your absolute BROTP?
fuyuhiko and nagito obviously
17. Do you have an OT3? Which one?
none that i can think of rn even tho i’m definitely open to a lot of them...i support gundham dating both sonia and kazuichi while sonia and kazuichi are best friends tho
18. Favourite rare ship?
i’m rly fond of fuyuhiko/nekomaru [hikomaru???] and kamuegi
19. Who do you think is an underrated character?
i feel like toko doesn’t get nearly enough love oh my gosh...i see her dismissed as an accessory to byakuya or “the girl w the serial killer” so often and it makes me so upset...also mukuro generally gets outright ignored even though there’s a lot to her
20.  Who do you think is an overrated character?
i feel like i see a lot of stuff for mikan everywhere??? but i...don’t like her that much. her personality kinda feels like the same thing all the time, under the despair disease she feels like junko 2 electric boogaloo or tsumugi the squeakquel, and her execution was underwhelming. and she also killed ibuki, the best gal :(
26. Favourite execution?
oh god definitely leon’s. the first execution of the first game and it goes hard as hell. it’s one of the few if only times you see red blood in the game, he goes out kicking and screaming in a way that you have to feel sorry for him. it’s an unbelievable way to start off the game and really encapsulates all of the wild ride danganronpa is gonna put you in for.
27. Least favourite execution?
as i said before, mikan’s was...underwhelming. as the ultimate nurse who spent her life being a doormat only to kill out of love, there’s an amazing amount of executions and ideas that would have been full of nuance and really interesting but instead she just gets blasted into fucking orbit
28. Favourite unused execution?
oh god i love byakuya’s unused execution because it’s one of those executions that focuses less on the character’s talent and more on the character’s fear. when you realize what byakuya’s future could have been, pretty much complete estrangement from the family and having to build up everything on his own with the fear of poverty constantly looming.
plus the fact that he fights because he could have condemned his half-siblings to that fate only for he, himself, to lose in a killing game and die thinking he was a disgrace is so painful. not to mention the execution itself is a slow and painful death.
it’s so brutal, so focused on breaking every fear and effort of the character, that i think it’s one of those executions that would come to mind whenever you wanted a picture definition for “despair”.
29. Which character should survived in your opinion?
leon kuwata should have lived...he was talented but he was still a normal-ish boy who couldve kept everyone at their wits in the killing game by reminding them what was waiting for them out there. lots of others but i’ve been thinking of baseball husband lately
31. Is there a character you think who shouldn’t have survived but did?
i love yasuhiro that weed smoking boy but he was too dumb to live
32. Least favourite protagonist?
uhhh hmmm i like all of them but kaede had the least screentime so she’s a protagonist where her personality isn’t 100% crystal-clear so. i GUESS
33. Character with the best clothing?
i want chiaki’s hoodie and backpack and LOOK more than i want to breathe oxygen. junko also has a fucking aesthetic
37. Favourite minor character?
taichi fujisaki i guess??? programmer dad
45. Unpopular opinion?
i dunno what other people think of this because i haven’t heard anything about it, but the closing argument minigame was better in sdr1
46. Unpopular headcanon?
i think genocide jack/jill is nonbinary but i’ve never seen anybody else who has the same headcanon
47. A headcanon you have about a character?
one of my long-time headcanons is that makoto is trans...yeet
48. Favourite OST?
danganronpa 2 has bop after bop. miss monomi’s practice lesson? bop. all the execution themes? bops. ikoroshia and ekoroshia? bops. i am constantly jamming the fuck out in this game
51. Character you thought you were gonna dislike but loved in the end?
i thought i was always gonna hate hiyoko and yeah she does have flaws but i actually like her a lot more than i used to
52. Character you thought you would like but disliked in the end?
thought korekiyo was gonna be a cool dude who was a lil weird and emo but still fun. boy was i wrong. im stealing him from spiky chunky until they learn to stop it
59. Favourite moment?
again, the final trial in the first game is fucking amazing, but also the final trial in the second game with hajime and chiaki plus all the izuru stuff and all the messages there r just. good as hell aaah
60. Saddest moment?
all of chapter 2 in sdr2 was painful. mahiru, who was a force of good, dies, the trial is difficult, the twilight syndrome murder case is terrifying, hiyoko is mourning and you have to spit it right back in her face for awhile that she’s the prime suspect...
and then the only reward you get for finding the real killer is feeling guilty as the tears run and then your final reward is getting to watch as one of your friends dies while the other gets mortally injured and barely survives and then only a bit of gametime later attempts suicide in front of you. it is blow after blow w/o breaks
63. Describe Kyoko Kirigiri in 3 words!
lovely detective lady
67. Which character would you never want to meet in real life?
hifumi because i would be wearing an anime tshirt cause im a fucking weeb and then he’d be an incel while i suffered just trying to buy a lifetime supply of panda candy from hot topic
68. Which character would you like to meet in real life?
kazuichi cause he seems p chill and like the type of person you could just hang out with or have a chat with casually and not have to worry about first impressions and stuff like that
69. Choose one character which you would take with you on a trip.
70. Character you would have a sleepover with?
chiaki because we’re both super sleepy but we could also play a bunch of games together and then pass out together with a bunch of snacks
71. Character you can relate to?
sorry to be kinnie on main but izuru, i relate to that feeling of always excelling at everything you do and as a result being constantly bored, so whether what happens is good or bad doesn’t matter so long as it’s interesting
72. Character you can relate to but you dislike them?
kokichi, again being kinnie on main but while i relate i dislike it because it’s a reminder of my tendency to lie to others and to myself for any number of purposes
73. Character who deserved better?
[sniffles softly] taka. also keebo. toko too tbh
81. Could you be the Ultimate Lucky Student?
probably??? my luck varies from being unbelievably good and unbelievably bad so hey
97. Overrated ship which is your NOTP?
toko/byakuya for sure. i don’t like the it(tm)
99. Your absolute NOTP?
junko being shipped with anyone but especially with the sdr2 cast because it is gross. let the sdr2 cast do the right thing and get to pull a knife on junko instead
100. Opinion on all the Protagonists!
makoto: a boy who has a mouth and must scream. he’s not having a good time but hes trying his best
hajime: a good, refined boy. he knows how to say and spell big words like antidisestablishmentarianism, or however that goddamn word is spelled. the most paranoid boy
komaru: a good gal, a lil anxious but very strong and ready to kick ass. a funky little lesbian
toko: a blessed gal who needs more appreciation. her time as a protagonist is extremely gay, meaning she is also a funky little lesbian.
kaede: she doesn’t have much screen time but i appreciate her. she’s nice to people and confident whereas everyone else in this series is nervous
shuichi: nervous and emo, shuichi truly represents teenage america in the years 2007-2012, possibly 2013. i adore him

So I finished Danganronpa 2 and... MY HEAD HOLY FUCK THAT WAS A LOT TO PROCESS
All the weird glitching and shit was quite eerie, it did get a bit frustrating sometimes actually.
IT’S A GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME (or rather, the Neo World is a simulation designed to undo the brainwashing of the Ultimate Despairs - the students here). Seriously, whenever Monokuma said that it was hilarious.
Hey it’s Alter Ego! Fucking Junko created her own version of it to upload into the dead students, holy shit that’s freaky.
Okay, Makoto showing up was really cool. Byakuya appeared too, which was awesome. Oh yeah, am I missing someone? Oh of course... KYOKO KIRIGIRI APPEARS TOO!!!!!! They show up because the shutdown sequence they created needs at least half of the number of students that were in the game.
I swear Junko was hot for <akoto with how she talked about him at some points... opposites attract?
So the Ultimate Despairs actually were recruited one by one and through Junko’s persuasion... now I see why people don’t like DR3′s portrayal of things, it reduces it all to “lol she made anime that made them wackos”. How it’s described here sounds much more compelling, it’s basically her just being charismatic and influencing and manipulating people to brainwash them, and her fellow despairs then used that across the world, including with the reserve suicide.
The stuff they did to the world was shocking, but themselves? YIKES. Nagito having the fucking arm of Junko, holy shit. Also... he seemed to still hate Junko even as a Despair? Also... Hajime as Izuru telling him the shit Nagito said to Hajime about how he’s worthless... ironic.
Okay honestly the stuff they did in general is pretty fucked up. Especially... NECROPHILIA???? FUCKING NECROPHILIA????? That was so Teruteru who did that (or Soda, it’s one of the horny ones, duh).
This final chapter was seriously meta, it’s wild. IT’S A GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
Giant Alter Ego Junko said her boobs are like 15 metres wide??? That’s weird. And she also mentions how it’s not a fanservice game, shit.
Junko’s voice acting was much better in this game... I actually found her kinda charismatic even as she was fucking awful instead of last time where she was just fucking awful... OH NO, AM I BEING SEDUCED INTO HER CULT OF DESPAIR???
Just as I thought, Nagito wanted to off everyone but Chiaki since they were all the Despairs... ironically, this would leave all their bodies blank, meaning Junko could hijack them. Okay seriously, the fact she wants to hijack everyone’s bodies so everyone will end up as Junko... that’s honestly pretty terrifying. It gave me freaking LOTS OF ME flashbacks.
Chiaki showed up to save Hajime after she died, holy shit. And she basically shows up to help him choose to do things his own way in the end.
All the ending stuff and the themes is something I’m REALLY going to have to process. Like... despair is defeated, but instead of hope they choose the “future”. I mean, I kinda see that as a form of hope in itself, but I guess the thing here is that they’re kinda creating their own path? I guess kinda like what Makoto decided in the first game? Just now, there’s more grey areas and every option has elements of hope and despair. Oh my gosh, I’m confused just writing this.
THANK YOU CHIAKI for telling us that it’s not important about whether you’re born with talent or not, just whether you believe in yourself. Hajime chooses to be his own person in the end and do that, and that’s what he needed to initiate the shutdown. Now we see just how much of a foil Nagito is to him.
Oh yeah Hajime was basically turned into freaking Izuru... and Hope’s Peak basically ALWAYS was researching talent to create this “Ultimate Hope”. In other words, they made Hajime a fucking ubermensch, essentially. And he killed the student council (which DR3 also contradicts, they went with the “Junko set it up” route), which started the Tragedy.
Look I know Kyoko is my big thing, but I legitimately have to wonder... since her father was the Headmaster of Hope’s Peak, what does she think of him now if he pretty much was involved in this project? I think DR3 portrayed him as conflicted or something, but I barely remember and honestly it seems like it contradicts stuff in 2 anyway so whatever lol
I definitely want to think more about the whole “gifted vs ordinary” theme. Like, it seems like the Tragedy was even able to happen was because Junko basically exploited the resentment of the Reserve Students and used that to convert them to her ideology. Nagito obviously has his social Darwinist views on this too. Junko also said something like that those who have talent end up with despair... this is kind of what she herself experiences, funnily enough. I think she said it’s because you eventually get knocked off the top, essentially. It’s certainly quite a bizarre worldview for sure, but yeah, she seems to have her own resentment for talented people in a way, but not in a sense to actually challenge the idea we even need this divide.
Chiaki’s thank you to Hajime’s, aww...
Small thing, but the ending where they showed Makoto, Kyoko and Byakuya was sweet. Makoto admiring how they were able to find a way to carve out their own futures, their nice Future Foundation outfits and Byakuya being friendly and noting Makoto’s sentimentality. They also chose to come with him even though they knew how risky it was, they had to do something even if the Future Foundation is fucked and the Neo World wasn’t fully prepared. I mean, Kyoko doesn’t surprise me that she’d work with Makoto, but Byakuya joining too really is a testament to how much he’s grown. Guess Hina, Hiro and Toko had their own stuff to do lol (I know Toko is in Ultra Despair Girls for example). Also... Kyoko’s tease about Toko to Byakuya, wow, she can show her sense of humour when she wants to. XD
But yeah, that was a pretty awesome experience. I’m not sure over whether I prefer 1 or 2, since even if 2 had a more complex and intriguing plot with its twists and turns, 1 I feel emotionally impacted me more and also had the isolated horror aspect to it. Plus, Kyoko Kirigiri. :P I found 1′s trials easier to manage overall since even on easy 2 made them more complicated, though I enjoy the brain surfing minigame 2 added. 2 also has stronger music overall. I guess 2 is more “fun”, in a sense, while 1 has that eerieness to it and unknown factor that makes you identify with the characters more? Obviously 2 had great characters too, in general I just felt more for 1′s. I guess they balance each other out in the end, lol. But yeah, overall I really enjoyed Danganronpa 2, as I did with the first game.
