Imagine you are a Hogwarts student, and the Marauders come to play a prank on you. What would you do?

When I was about 14, one of the boys in my class played a prank on me by throwing a bunch of fake spiders at my head. He said that since I always dressed in black (I had a phase where I wore nothing but black for about two months back then—I don’t really know why, I guess I was going through one of those phases, lol), I looked like Wednesday Addams, and the spiders were to complete the look.

That day, after class, I grabbed one of the trash bins from the school yard and dumped it over his head, with all the garbage inside. I told him to take it as a way of returning the favor by complementing his "trash boy" outfit.

He never bothered me again.

If the Marauders or anyone like them tried to prank me, I’d make it very clear that the best thing they could do to preserve their physical well-being would be to never mess with me or breathe the same oxygen as me within a ten-meter radius ever again.

Serendipity should be required viewing material before anyone tries to analyze Homestuck; not only is John Cusack a universal constant, but the themes and vibes of Serendipity are so fundamentally woven into Homestuck's DNA that several of Serendipity's thesises and conversations could be lifted directly from one to the other.

In particular, the way Serendipity utilizes coincidence and circumstantially simultaneous events in order to suggest - nay, decree - that the two leads belong together, is highly reminiscent of the way Hussie uses foreshadowing, and not just for romantic couples. It's also a major window into the ultimate stance Homestuck takes with regard to romance, fate, and destiny, and also more specifically, a really good look at Karkat's own personal philosophies of romance. There's a running theme in his movies of meeting someone that perfectly matches your freak, someone you don't ever need to compromise yourself around, who brings out the best in you.

I know why people don't like Turnabout Bigtop. I am among the people who dislike Turnabout Bigtop.

But I GET why people like the case. I'm not going to be one of those annoying people who just blindly dump on it because I hate those mfs too.

Thing about Bigtop isn't that it sucks. Thing isn't the weird grooming stuff (though that is a huge part of it). It's not that it could've been good.

It's that - in my personal OPINION - it could have been *great*.

I think it had the potential to be one of the best third cases in the trilogy. It had everything; a fun and goofy setting fit for a pretty dang goofy lawyer game - where the environment itself had jokes and quips and one-liners and mishaps and tomfoolery written all over it, it had the previous case introducing a very interesting and important plotline that gave background for one of the more well-loved characters while also introducing an equally fucked up and lovable new one who was a child forced into a shit childhood of naivete in a CIRCUS with another character who was very naive and childish - whose interactions could have been funny and cute and reflective of said shit from the previous case (seriously she becomes such an important character in the 4th case, WHY would they not include her in this one for some character development? How did they fuck up letting a CHILD explore a CIRCUS?? That would have made the interactions flow MUCH better).

They had a pretty good, sympathetic killer imo, a morally dubious victim, an asshole of a client (who was pretty flat admittedly in-game, but I like his weird, topsy-turvy reasoning for it in the anime. Also, I think Max being kinda a dick would have bode well for the themes of Farewell since most of his clients up to this point have been like...nice? Not nice, but sympathetic, but him having to defend someone who's innocent but a prick would have shown him that just because someone is an asshole, doesn't mean they deserve to suffer for it and that they have the potential to grow as people, which is almost a complete foil to what Matt was. Ultimately, I would have loved the contrast of them as clients and I think it would have also served as character development for Phoenix, especially with his low-empathy tendencies).

They just didn't think that far ahead. They just didn't execute it well enough. They just decided to make three of the adult characters fight for the hand in marriage of a teenage girl. (Bat's part of the story was actually kinda good if he was just YOUNGER, I think him doing that for Regina would have been a stupid thing someone in the circus would do to impress their crush. Damn you Ace Attorney and your weird treatment of underage girls!!)

It just flopped and that's ok.

Even though it kinda sucked, it can still mean something to me.

I offer a clownbo headcanon

Evbo isn’t one for physical affection but doesn’t mind the contact even if it isn’t his preference. Rarely initiates physical contact other then usually a pat on the shoulder, a handshake or on the rarer occasions a hug by himself but he’s willing to hug or do anything else when asked too since he would feel bad about rejecting them. Pretty much would lay stiff as a board in bed if you cuddled him type of thing because it’s not something that is a need for him unlike for other people and he just ends up feeling a bit awkward about it. He has more of a preference for vocalising things rather since he views that as something more grounded and solid without implications unlike physical contact, something feels different when you vocalise things in his head.

Clown, on the other hand, is much more the one that actively desires physical contact and seeks it out in either small or big ways like putting a hand on people shoulders to draping himself across them. He’s extremely more proactive in initiating contact and that’s definitely because he hasn’t physically touched another person for years as he was locked away in his prison so it makes him feel grounded, makes it feel that he has actually escaped from it when he touches another breathing person that isn’t himself. Basically it allows him to feel real and not trapped in the end while speaking feels more like empty promises and lies in the end. To many implications with words while there’s something more honest about physical touch.

So you get the nice visual of Clown draping himself over Evbo’s back while the other is just chattering along about something, anything really.

Just when I thought I was done with TOH... the pilot and Hunter's original design draws me back in

I love this alot, mostly because it destroys the argument anti lunter weirdos made about Hunter being a last minute add in. Which was like, never actually true because SAI implied foreshadowed alot of... interesting stuff... the whole Lunter kiss. Hunter was also in alot of early production stuff as well... like someone on the production team literally said Dana had him in mind since early Bible days LMAO (ricky cometa over on instagram)

The other thing I like is that this confirms Hunter being related to Belos wasn't a last minute add in either.

NGL I'm frothing at the mouth over the implication William was put into an eternal sleep by Obron/Belos because he fell in love with a witch... Like Williams whole thing with being a witch-hunter who lost his memories is the perfect set-up for that kind of reveal...

Do you ever think about the fact that like, we know NOTHING about buggy? Yes of course we all know the devil fruit thing and how he was on Rogers crew, but the sheer amount we DONT know? Insane.

1 How the frick did he get on rogers crew?? Did roger kidnap the poor the kid? Did buggy just stowaway or something? Roger wouldnt take on anybody so there has to be a reason.

2 No one else looks like buggy except maybe vivi. Is buggy some long forgotten race? Is he actually royalty but their whole race was wiped out? Is it just a genetic mutation? I NEED ANSWERS ODA

3 WHO ARE HIS FAMILY?! Who are his parents or if he has siblings or cousins??? Did they disown him or did he runaway????

4 This is a personal preference but there is NO WAY buggy is as dumb as he plays. You can’t be that stupid and still be a successful captain/businessman/leader/yonko. Whatchu hiding buggy???

5 Where did the circus act come from? When he was on rogers ship there was no circusy makeup or any mention of things related to the circus, the only thing we have about that is that buggy wore bright clothes, but ROGER wore bright clothes. So did he join a circus after he and shanks broke up?? Is there a backstory there??

6 Last one I promise. Does anyone else think it’s a little strange that there are only two people in the series that wear clown makeup and one of them has nothing to do with the circus? Rosinante and buggy have extremely similar makeup, did they know eachother? Rosinante had no reason to wear clown makeup except maybe as a disguise, what the heck was that about???

7 Okok, last one last one. Did Oda say who he based buggy on? We know that almost every character in one piece is based on someone in real life or a myth. But we don’t know who buggy, an OG of the story, is based on. Little strange don’t you think? Oda?? HMMMM?

Mmm, I agree with you in the fact that we actually lack A LOT of information about Buggy's story (and also Shanks', but that's wayyy more plausible to be told in more detail than Buggy's) and I wish we knew more about where he comes from. But I think I can answer some stuff you mentioned!!!

4. Buggy is not playing dumb in any moment. He is directly not dumb at all and he has been shown countless times being of the most strategic characters in the manga. The one thing that holds him back is not being confident in himself because he still keeps the burden of living under Shanks' shadow on his shoulders so he often acts cowardly and seemingly without any goal at all but to survive. After chapter 1082, though, I think we will see wayyy more of him acting like a boss and following his dream and showing his true abilities. It's not that he's playing dumb, it's that he doesn't let himself be brave and now that he's on the same level as Shanks, he can do whatever he wants (if Mihawk and Crocodile let him lmao). And the reason why so many people follow him despite Buggy constantly saying he doesn't want to be seen this way because he sees himself as a loser who keeps pretending to be great, it's just that he's... Great. He just doesn't see it but he has an inherent effect on people when he gets serious. Being a failguy doesn't make you any less of a genius.

5/6. Actually, I believe we won't really get an answer to that. Perhaps we do if we get another flashback but maybe it's just character design and that's pretty much it. There must be something about wearing clown makeup as a mask of their true personality and yadda yadda yadda but that's for another day.

And about Buggy's past and the theory about him being a Nefertari: It's a pretty good theory and I actually really like it, keeping in mind how much influence both Buggy and Vivi's family are having lately in the manga. But I am not really sure about that being true and I am not even sure either if we we'll get any Buggy flashback at all. So I guess we will just have to wait and see what Oda does!!!
