One of my mutuals opinions is the "bro code" thing, that Curly is one of those guys who wouldn't care about the victim because the perpetrator is his friend and I'm really banging my head on the wall like that other anon. I've only played through the game once but Curly's behaviour/reactions etc read completely different from the "bro code" thing and I have to wonder if my mutual and I even played the same game.. like the constant digs at him from Jimmy, his body language in his face reveal and so on like you mentioned in your post. While this game is a little different obviously, it kind of reminded of a point in Alice Madness Returns that makes it very clear that Alice's pain blinded her to the abuse of the other children and her failure to act earlier because of it. Curly is guilty of a similar inaction but it doesn't change the fact he was a victim of Jimmy too. I don't think I can look at it any other way because both of these games have really stuck with me.

I genuinely think it really is the idea that people want a simple easy to blame problem and the idea that the only relatable victims of abuse are those that "surpass" it or do a lot to help others. When it comes to victims, especially those that don't fit the typical demographics, who either accidently perpetuate it, enable it or aren't ideal in some way shape or form, people jump to ignore what they went through as it's easier than dealing with those conflicting sentiments.

The bro-code conversation in Mouthwashing stems from a concept I generally dislike that there had to be something about Curly that made him meet or keep being friends with someone like Jimmy. I think people genuinely underestimate how many like decent and good people just know an asshole or are friends with someone who is really bad outside of their view/established dynamics. The game makes it clear none of the inaction against Jimmy is because of a lack of care, it is a lack of understanding from the privaleged postions they have as men to not have to worry about what Anya does/went through and the type of extremes men like Jimmy will go through to cover it up. They are all too preoccupied in their own strifes.

Another thing I see being oversaturated the idea that you have to be a freak, misanthrope or have a disorder to do the thing Jimmy does. The game is an escalation, it's a spiral that I don't see people comment on that Jimmy was not likely having the mood swings and episodes of rage/frustration we were seeing in the game. This is after they all start experiencing the worst moments in their lives that he got THAT openly bad. Of course, this is just my interpretation but much like in real life, people that go to extremes like that usually live mundane lives. It's a pressure cooker affect to where the stress made them pop. It's self inflicted but still the case.

I really think people need to be more willing to acknowledge that not everything needs to be an extreme or in black and white or easy to understand. It doesn't need to be happy or have an answer or solution, especially in the cases where the abused sadly helps perpetuate what they experience. It's not he should've known better from experience or shouldn't he have known what could've happened because victims tend to not like to think in matters of the worst. Not to mention, especially in cases of abuse where it feels so personally directed that you don't expect to happen to someone else.

I can imagine the first cycle after moving. They've spent years with this being their more closely guarded secret, and that's going to be really difficult to give up.

But it's really not a secret they'll be able to keep for long.

They're in a completely different environment, with far less space and privacy. They're both stressed as hell and Donnie WAS on birth control and taking all sorts of vitamins and supplements to make sure he didn't eggbind again and now he's suddenly not and it's not only messing with his body, it's fucking scary. It literally keeps them both up at night. Neither of them know how to wash blood out of clothes or sheets. There's no private en suite bathroom they can sequester themselves away in. They're both literally making themselves sick with anxiety trying to deal with this, and they're used to handling this on their own, this is routine for them, but they're not used to all of this.

They'd probably metaphorically limp through a few cycles before their family puts it together and gently confronts them.

Venus probably figures it out first. She's pretty smart, and incredibly observant, and after all-- she quite literally experiences the exact same thing. April may not lay eggs, but I think she'd be able to get the idea after a bit as well. And while I think Splinter would realize something was wrong pretty quickly, Draxum would probably realize what was wrong first. Splinter has April, so he has a little bit of experience in this realm, but Draxum has Venus and so he has far more experience.

And so when they do sit them down and talk with them, it's going to be really scary at first. And then they get to, "you're safe, you're fine, we can handle this however you feel the most comfortable. It will be okay. No one will hurt you."

Wonderland of Love-Mr. And Mrs Smith levels of insane chemistry but he loved her way more than she loved him and it was obvious to the point where it made it not fun. She was kind of self centered, he came second and usually third.

19th Floor-one of the top of the year. It's this year's Reset. It did get a little shakey towards the end but that because it had so many episodes. Still great.

Love Like the Galaxy-I DID NOT like this and Idk how anyone else did. But it has plenty of fans, it wont miss me. She "settled" for him and he loved her to the point of insanity. Idk what he saw, she kind of sucked. He had to watch her love someone else for waaay too long.

Forever and Ever- I didn't watch the prequel show because I didn't want to put myself through the sadness. This could be considered boring but it was a comfortable boring. I enjoyed it. She LAID THIS BOY DOWN EVERY CHANCE SHE GOT. lol

As Beautiful You-It was okay. The business parts are so long and boring. Xu Kai was so fine.

Okay so first off, I do NOT see Paul as the one who called off the whole thing with him and darry, nor the only reason they had issues. Which they didn't really have but that's a whole other thing.

I like to see him as someone who mirrors darry sort of on the opposite side. Darry is seen as Soc like even tho he is known as a greaser. Shorter hair then ur average greaser, no hair gel, actually follows most laws (he needs too but yk) and doing very well in school and academics in general. But still having many greaser qualities and being a greaser in general.

Meanwhile Paul, a Soc, has longer hair, breaks a few more laws (many socs jump greasers, drink and smoke underage ,and that's it. But Paul would steal, vandalize, etc) but wont jump greasers. Rumbles sure but jumping them in general is a no go for him. Considering his best friend is one.

He also does just well enough in school to pass classes and stay on the football team. Not trying all that much. If it weren't for his parents forcing and pressuring him and his (I hc him to have one) little sister encourageing him he would have probably failed everything then get kicked out. His father is also just an asshole and his mom was so emotionally neglectful it was crazy

I see him as some of the socs safe person for if anything happens similar to darry. Hiding from whatever? Paul. Want a party? Paul. Just wanna hang out that isn't out or at your house? Paul.

His house is basically the hangout spot bc his parents are barely home and when they are they don't pay to much attention bc they act good with them around. Even tho it was rare socs would go there anyway.

Now to Paul and darry. Darry was pauls safe person. If his dad beat him or threatened to kick him out, Darry was the person he would go too. And they were close for years. But It was darry who called off the whatever they had. Paul was the one who was fine with what they had. He was fine keeping it a secret. And he's probably given up a thing or too just for Darry. And darry did care, but he just couldn't do it anymore. In fact, he had kissed many girls when they were dating, claiming its just to hide what they had but realistically he just wanted to try to “get rid of his homosexuality” as its against god. (he literally went to church in the south in the 60s..) but Paul ignored it. Ofc it bothered him but Paul didn't really see it as bad to do bc maybe darry really was trying to hide it?

Darry didn't hate him but when he broke up with Paul. Paul began to dislike him a lot more. Ofc still not jumping greasers but just hated darry. He felt like darry never really cared and everything he did was useless. Ofc darry said they could still be friends like they had been for years but Paul just wanted to leave.

This is why Paul looked visibly angry at darry during the rumble and why darry had no reaction during the rumble. Paul was pissed and he had every right to be. And darry knew this. They still fought, fist to face, body, whatever. But secretly, even though Paul wanted to refuse, the second Darry would make any motive to wanna get back together, Paul would have dropped anything in a heartbeat.

And in prev episodes we had to wait for like 3 months or more until the next One come in SOMETIMES TWO OR MORE MONTHS ONLY FOR A GIF(full moon episode lmao) 😭 so it makes sense Why the writing is flawed in some ways ..cuz they have to keep the tension so the fans wont get bored waiting the next episode for months ( ı know it relases monthly now but it wasnt like this before).

I actually think that Helluvaboss was never really suited taking a whole season slow character arcs and relationships yeah ı also love shows with more then 4 seasons and at least have 30 minutes episodes or more though ıts not really possible to do that with indie animation ..Helluva only has 4 seasons and SO MUCH to tell in its story YES hb again has flawed writing but ı am just tired Twitter talks about it like ıts the WORST writing in a show .

but ..ı want to know more of their dynamic ..like Why Does Octavia cares for her if they are not so close. Does she thinks she has to love her because stella is her mom ?

Well in octavia's drawings when she was a kid shows us that she was more close with her dad since she never included drawing stella on them.also having similar hobbies and interests with stolas..( where they both like stars ..plants..well drawing. Singing to cope with their emotions ..)

..but again ı REALLY want to know Why she said.."you don't love mother" to stolas .Does she even know her parents didnt marry with love and it was actually an arranged marriage Does she thinks her dad ruined everyhting when he cheated on her mom ???

So watched Legends of Vox Machina season three, some changes I liked, so I did not.... But I want to hear your opinion.

Okay, I finally finished watching it.

Overall I like it. There's a reason it's getting so many views on Prime and I'm glad it's doing well. I guess it's been like a week since it all aired, so I wont do a cut for spoilers, so if that's something you care about, scroll away now. This is your final warning.

Are there things I wish they hadn't cut? Sure. But also, this is an adaptation and there's no way that everything could have fit into this show. Like, Bard's Lament? I missed that. But with the way the show is structured, I doubt it would have had the same emotional impact. Kash's death? Yes, I am personally bummed out, but the casual viewer won't really know or care why it bums me out. I think it was overall fine. And this is a magic world. Vesh could have other plans for him and he could show up again. But I don't know that he will. Ummm what else. I feel like there was one other main thing that I wasn't a huge fan of, but it doesn't really matter.

I do love the way they adapted Percy's death and resurrection. That was 10/10. It has to make sense for people who just don't get it and they're working within the constraints of a certain number of seasons. I assume 4 now, because they don't really have a ton of story left to fit. They COULD stretch it to two more, but they don't really need to.

OH YEAH. Tary. I hope they don't totally cut Tary out. However, would I be shocked? Not anymore. His arc wouldn't get the time it would need to be impactful unless they do stretch it out to five seasons and realistically the story wouldn't suffer without him. Sorry to say it lol but it's true. I also don't really agree with Travis that the people who watched the campaign also need to be surprised, but I don't mind the changes they've made.

Anyway, overall, I think this is an excellent adaptation. If you think about the fact that they've crammed like, hundreds of hours of content into 12 hours of television, it's WILD actually. And honestly, while I know what story pieces are missing, I don't actually miss them until after I think about what I've just watched. I give it a 9/10.

He walked up to you and the makeshift gramophone and put the disc into the circular platform. This use of the machine definitely made more sense than what you previously thought it was. Ekko took the spiky spoon thing and placed it onto the black disk and spun it and after a moment of some weird noise, a song started to play from it. You did hear some music in your lifetime, but right now you felt like it had been ages since you last listened to something. For a moment you just stared at the device and let your brain process it all. The thing that finally brought you back to reality was the leader’s hand placed on your shoulder as he looked down on you with a smile on his face. “So, I was thinking, and since you spend a lot of your life in prison, you probably never got to experience a lot of stuff, buuut I was wondering if maybe, you wanted to learn how to dance?”

He took a few steps away from you and offered you a hand, his other one hidden behind his back and he bowed down a little. You stared at him in awe for a good few minutes and he just let you process it all, patiently waiting for your answer. Finally, you shook your head and took his hand with a grin painted onto your lips. “Don’t expect me to be good at it.” You warned him as he pulled you closer to him and put his free hand on your waist. Obviously, you didn’t expect this and your eyes widened as he did so, your mouth left slightly agape. “I taught you how to fight, I think I got this.” Ekko rolled his eyes and raised his eyebrows at you, even if you hadn't meant it that way, this was now a challenge in his eyes, and he wasn’t going to fail.

“You know, you have to put your hand on my shoulder right?” “How could I? I never danced with anyone.” The boy let go of your waist and grabbed your arm, helping you put it into the right position and when your hand rested on his shoulder, he returned his arm back to where it previously was placed. “Excuses is all I hear.” He poked at you back and shrugged, then he looked down at both of your feet, thinking about how to best explain to you how to dance. “So there’s like a lot of traditional dances, but I think you’ll be fine if we start with Waltz, not even you can mess that up.” You nodded in agreement and followed his gaze, looking down too as he lifted one of his feet up and tapped it against the front of yours. “Keep your expectations realistic Ekko, please.” Ekko chuckled a little at your comment and tapped your foot again, now realising it might indicate that you have to do something, you picked up your foot too.

“Look at that, you can read my mind too. Okay, okay, so, at first you’ll have to watch your feet, like a lot, but once you get the grip, you can look up. But for now, just follow what I’m doing okay?” “I can definitely try to do that, yeah.” He nodded and slowly started to drag the foot he had previously tapped yours with against the floor in your direction, and so you did the same, but instead of going in his direction, you went backwards. Ekko made sure to tell you when you did something right and when you did something wrong, and also to have a firm grip on you, since he knew that balance wasn’t your strongest forté and the possibility of you losing it was almost as high as when you were learning to hoverboard. Of course you stepped on his foot more times than you could count, but Ekko didn’t seem like he minded at all, in fact, it almost looked like he was enjoying himself.

When Ekko felt like you had gotten a pretty good grip on how to do the basic steps, he decided to mess with you a little and incorporate a simple spin into it. Which definitely threw you off your balance, just like he suspected it would, and if he wasn’t holding you, you would’ve fallen onto your ass. Not that you’d mind since you were pretty much used to it by this point. But Instead of falling back, you were pulled closer to him, your chest pressed against his. “Careful.” He warned you in a low tone, almost whispering it into your ear and in that moment, you didn’t even register what his words were, your mind busy with concentrating on something completely different at the moment. Ekko seemed to know that, it was like this was his full intention. Or maybe he was just saving you from your clumsiness.

The boy patiently waited for you to snap out of it yourself for a few moments longer, but when he felt like he gave you quite enough time to think, he stepped away and gave you a look that you could only describe as a winning smile. “Right, okay. Again?” You stared at the ground for a little longer and then you finally looked at his face, creating eye contact with him. “You haven’t had enough yet?” Ekko chuckled a little at your words and raised an eyebrow at you. Part of him was surprised that you wanted to continue as he had never painted you as someone who likes things like this, but the other part of him knew you were stubborn, determined and persistent, well in some cases at least. “You know me, I don’t give up easily.”

Phil: Like we've felt what it's like to have you guys dissappear from our grasp, right? you've like- you've dissapeared from this world briefly, and we know what it's like. Like i-i've personally know what it's like, for you guys to fucking dissapear entirely like, the nightmare happened and i thought that was it, i was like "fuck well, it's done" and i felt so empty, right?

Phil: I-I genuenly felt like i lost a hardcore world, like- the 5 year world that i lost? that's what it felt like, i was like fucking miserable. And then bad uh- lost dapper like- like in a weird glitch type thing, and that got reverted. But when it happened, you can hear it in his voice like, he was distraught like- theres like a bond that we share even if is playing block game, you know?

Phil: we're just hanging out like, i wanna protect you guys with everything i can. everything i have i wanna protect you with, you know? but... i understand that i can't protect you for everything, so i just try to protect you from that i can, so... (and ooc out-of-character, i think everyone watching is incredibly invested also -laughs-, we're in the same boat)

You can't tell us, you dont have like a button to press, you don't have- there's like nothing to indicate that you're extremely low on health or in peril, alright?

Phil: So it makes it more stressful for the players and the people watching cuz we dont know, so i have to just be super fucking careful... And just treat it like you're on like barely any heart all the time, just in case

Chayanne - Starting off strong, they both like potatoes and avocado toast, and Sunny wanted a supervisor chair just like Chayannes. I feel like Sunny might be intimidated by the older eggs at first and try to stake her claim to Tubbo by being really defensive, but I also dont think Chayanne will care too much about that. He'll probably just tell them about Tubbo being his egg, and she'll join him in bullying Tubbo lmao

Tallulah - I think after some initial confusion theyll probably get on okay. They have very different personalities, but they both like flowers and music so I think they'll be alright. Having a "good example" might be good for Sunny to show her that you dont need to have everything to be happy but I kinda feel like it won't make much difference to our little diva <3

Ramon - oh boy where do I start. I genuinely really think these two will end up becoming close- they live really near each other and their parents are both morning crew so theyre gonna end up spending time with each other a lot. Sunny will probably be jealous of Ramon knowing more create than them at first but i also think they'll get on really well. Ramon doesnt tend to spend a lot of time with other eggs comparatively, and Sunny could do with somebody in her life who doesnt bend to their every whim, which Ramon definitely wont. Bonus points if Ramon takes one look at Sunny being classist and forgets Everything Fit taught him, to join in with her

Dapper - again, i think theyll get on okay. Tubbo didnt tend to hang out with dapper much before the eggs left, so realistically I dont know how much to expect them to interact with each other. Dapper will probably just love showing Sunny her massive collection of animals and items, and Sunny will want Tubbo to get all of them for her

Leo - lmao i think theyre gonna be a really funny pair together. Tubbo rarely saw Leo before she disappeared, but he has already mentioned that he thinks Sunny would get on with Leo so he'll probably make an effort to introduce them. Sunny and Leo are either going to be instant besties or rivals, no inbetween. Theyre either gonna bond over all of their things (Sunny once again being jealous that Leo has a nice house, i bet) or constantly try to one-up the other with expensive items (Leo's winning this one, hands down, but it'd be funny to watch regardless).

Richas - ngl i feel like Richas is probably gonna be busy with Pepito and (maybe) Em so he wont see Sunny as much, but I also think those two are gonna bond over their morning coffees and general disregard for their parents wishes <3 also if Richas is up early enough hell get dragged into the morning crew shenanigans too so he may end up spending a pot of time with Tubbo and Sunny

Pomme - honestly pretty similar to 'llulah, except possibly more of a parent-based rivalry (Tubbo and Pierre/Etoiles). Both like flowers and music, Sunny will probably be jealous of Pomme's 5 (6?) parents as opposed to her (current) one, but I think theyll get on okay. Again, Pomme was one of the eggs Tubbo didn't see as much, but he did make the effort to go say hi when she was alone so I mean maybe Sunny and Pomme will be closer than I think

I have another AU idea that i want to bring to life someday, its not as fleshed out as Stories Untold but its already following a story so it doesn't really need a plot except for a few changes.

Whats your guys thoughts on a Brother Bear AU? focusing on Sonic and Tails, a little bit of knuckles. Characters aside from Sonic and Tails are still to be decided.

So if any of your bones creak like mine, Brother Bear is an old disney movie with beautiful native and inuit representation. Back when disney wasnt just trying to find a pretty buck and actually made their movies visually appealing along with a detailed story.

It follows 3 brothers, the oldest dies from a bear attack unintentionally caused by the youngest going after it to recitify a mistake. The youngest being Kenai or Sonic in this AU.

Kenai or Sonic, decides to seek avenge his brothers death by killing the beast. This is the beginning of where i change things around, i want to be as close to the source material as possible but my changes wont fit realistically so your gonna have a dire wolf sized fox. The movie is based on inuit culture and i cant use inuit representation 100% so this is a FICTIONAL native AU. Not based on any real cultures, inspired but not based.

That being said, Sonic goes to hunt this dire fox much to the dismay of the 2nd brother. I cant decide whos who aside from sonic.

Sonic kills this fox after an aggressive battle and the spirits, gaia, punish him for taking an unnecessary life by turning him into a mobian.

Forgot to mention 😅 sonic and his "brothers" are human and there are normal animals, but the beasts are mobians. Catch my drift on this? Okay.

Okay so Sonic kills the fox and is turned into a what? Hedgehog mobian! Because at the beginning, when a tribe member comes of age, they receive a totem of who they represent. Sonics was a cute little Hedgehog, the Hedgehog of love.

The 2nd brother comes last minute to see a changed Sonic and the aftermath of a fight. Thinking the random blue hedgehog killed Sonic, now thinking he lost 2 brothers he goes to attack. Sonic narrowly escapes and is separated for now.

Ive explained enough of the movie at this point, but Sonic comes across Tails who is a lone mobian. Born amd raised. Tails is Koda, the little bear Kenai meets.

Sonic at first is not liking the company of Tails, but while they travel across the land, they start to bond and Sonic begins to feel attached to the kid. His moralites and perspectives beging to change

Tails is a little shit in this btw, exactly like Koda. Does not shut up and is glued to Sonic in an endearing sort of way.

They become like brothers until it gets to the point of the movie where Tails is talking about why hes alone and his separation from his mom. Sonic breaks his own heart telling Tails that before changing, before the knowledge he has now about the mobians, he killed Tails mother to avenge his brother.

Honey there is so much unbreakable bond material with this movie, i even made an AI voice generated clip of Tails singing "im on my way" by phil collins.

Its getting pen to paper is where im stuck, im still working out how to present my idea visually. Id honestly adore seeing ideas from you guys.
