first time i watched 'no exit' i was 100% in jo's corner like oh great it's sexist dean time . wheeee let's all watch her learn a lesson about hunting and he can be 'right' in a factual way but he'll be as obnoxious as possible about it the whole time . now i think what's happening here is that he has pretty much instantly samzoned her, as a college dropout from a hunting family who has a contentious relationship with her one surviving parent. EXCEPT that she's a five-foot-something twiggy barely-out-of-her-teens woman who has a crush on him and has never been on a serious hunt before, and he's dismissive/over-vigilant enough with the actual sam, a powerfully-built man with clairvoyant powers and over a decade of experience. bearing that in mind, his behavior towards jo is barely outside his normal realm of bossy and overbearing, and since he knows a little something about how sams will respond to direct orders, he still tells her mother she's not on the hunt with them so as to avoid the fallout until it's over. basically i think the whole dean thing, his most consistent characterization over the course of fifteen years, is his tendency to express even genuine protectiveness through the medium of 'bossy older sibling', and this makes him come off like the worst person on the planet. he frequently IS, but it's actually because of other things and has nothing to do with that habit in specific

K Bakugou -

Since he was a baby, he always did the most. He had a huge ego, but one that was more fragile than large at the same time. The littlest things set him off, as soon as his quirk developed, nothing was too small for him to take care of.

He expressed himself in (literally) explosive responses, it could be screaming, physical threats, or even using his abilities to blast any assumed threat to him or his pride away.

It wasnt something he realized at first, but he found himself getting the most violent with people who were nice or just didn't seem intimidated. This first manifested in Izuku, whose kind personality and relentless care for someone of Katsukis rank pissed him off. It took him a decade to stop pushing him away, and he was the first one he started using to test the abilities of his quirk on people.

And while 'that damn Deku' pissed him off the most, Icy-fucking-Hot was definitely 2nd place. While Izukus pure intention hurt his perception of his rough demeanor, it made him insecure about him at his core. But the youngest Todoroki son had a similar, yet unfamiliar effect on his ego. When he didnt respond to his threats with fear or a challenging stance, he felt even weaker. As if he couldn't get himself across, or wasnt being taken seriously. It hurt him, even if hed rather die than admit it to any soul.

Eventually, through everything UA and, more so, the League of Villains threw at the training students, an understanding and bonding happened with Bakugou and the 'extras' while he now knew and could somewhat accept how close he was with Izuku now, a closer relationship with Shoto Todoroki scared him a little.

So when in his second year at UA Hero Academy, when he only expected Hitoshi Shinsou to be singular student added, he couldnt get used to the presence of what seemed to a rock wall next to him.

A surprise student was added, and you were a bit hard for the now very bonded students to get used to. Sentences were kept short, you stayed direct and quick. Rarely could small talk or room to really think be an option with you.

And fuck, did this piss Katsuki off. He had a surface level grasp of his peers, but now a completely new face was thrown into his mix. Still, he couldnt find himself even getting a basic idea of you. He'd never really noticed the looks of people in terms of being pretty or attractive. Everyone had basic features, of course, raccoon eyes, shitty hair, dunce face, freckles. But he'd never considered or noticed anyone who made him look twice in terms of pure beauty.

Until he looked over to the new face in his class. You were sitting in the seats next to him, your demeanor alone cold. Your posture was held alert, while your face showed no distinct emotion beside sharp eyes. He'd never stared at people for much longer than needed, but he found himself studying the way your eyes were focused, seeming to have quickly taken in their surroundings before piercing into the front of the class as you digested the small bits of info.

Fuck. How annoying. Another person he may have to worry about beating. He found himself mad at the thought, mad that with just one look at you, he felt himself fearing you could be better.

Shota Aizawa, who stayed the homeroom teacher of the now class of 2-A, already had a precise reading of his students. Especially his trouble makers. Noticing how the classes rabid dog of sorts, was eyeing you with nothing but the urge to rip you apart, prove how he was the strongest to someone who didnt understand who he was. He sighed, while he'd usually put away interpersonal feelings for his lessons, he didnt want anything escalating on the first day. Besides, he wasnt totally against pushing the heros in training to fight early.

A sudden 1v1 class battle sparing was set into motion. He didnt bother reading through every single match, as theyd be taking place simultaneously in different sections. Aizawa stressed the fact that he wouldnt analyze every small detail within each fight, rather focusing more on the ones that were especially talented and worthy of "catching a pros eye", and more specifically would be ranking by how quickly the fight had a distinct winner and loser. This was important in the sense that, the quicker you are, the higher you rank, regardless of how flashy your attacks were. But this turned out to be worse for the opponent, as the quicker you lost, the lower youd be graded.

Katsuki was ecstatic as he motioned for the pairings to be whoever was next to them. He was ready to take you down, and achieve a perfect victory by making an example of you with his more than noticeable attacks, while also making it quick. He couldnt wait to humble you.

You two were now in a relatively small space, it felt oddly intimate in the sense it made it feel like it was just you and him. He made sure to remind himself that he still had plenty of space to move, and most importantly, Aizawa was watching.

He planned on making the first attack, not just before you, but before any other student. But as he started to excrete the nitroglycerin from his pores, you quickly made a swift attack, immobilizing the use of the entirety of his arm. Your quirk, bone manipulation, twisted the areas of upper arm, and wrist into a full 180°. As he stood, his right explosion couldnt reach you as his wrist faced his back and his full arm was stuck reaching behind him in a unnatural way.

The sound of cracking echoed through the fuller, much large training ground. The other students who hadnt even started their preparations, watched as one arm of the arguably strongest student flew back and exploded in a new sort, flashes of red and blue bruises painting its way across the affected areas. Quicker than a beat of his heart, he launched his free fist, embedded with what was a physically glowing power, reading to blast everything in its path into bits.

You stood there, still unscathed, and watched as a second fist reached out to your face. It wasnt anything new. You barely thought, funnily enough, muscle memory seemed to enforce the bones in your arm, gradually strengthening towards it went to your fist.

Despite still looking small and fragile, your body became unbreakable as you blocked the Katsuki Bakugous explosive fist.

His eyes widen with a mix of something hard to read, but still possible.

If you had to decipher the look in the Katsuki Bakugous, itd be a mix of fury, but curiosity. This would be a long match.

Much to Katsukis dismay, he did not beat you, or quickly for that matter. You two were the last on the field, meaning no matter what youd both be at the bottom of the list. He still kept fighting, even as the pores in his palms began to burn, and his muscles felt as if they were ripping apart. Still, he kept screaming, boasting about his superiority as each blast got stronger and stronger, even if he was weakening. It only made him more determined.

And even though you weren't in much better shape, your joints cracking loudly with every small movement, your bones growing unsteady and almost soft as you used your quirk to its fullest. What really pissed Katsuki off though, was how silent you were. Even though your bones had broken many times, and just about your whole body was bruised, every time he was about to become unable to move due to bone damage, you used your quirk to reposition him, so the match could continue. You were fucking with him, without even saying anything or looking at him. He couldnt wait to fucking destroy you.

Little did he know, despite the total lack of emotion or any pure human expression on your face, you were having the most fun you had for a while. This man was giving it his all, keeping the rush and adrenaline flowing throughout the training grounds even after a number of injuries that would send most sane people running away, holding back tears. You loved this. You didn't care about winning anymore, you cared about how much fun you could get out of this fight.

But much to both of your dismay, the time limit ran out. Aizawa erased your quirks, scolding you for taking a while.

"In a real fight, the collateral damage would be unforgivable. Imposing irreversible damage to your opponent when not needed isn't acceptable. While taking training is important," He paused, looking at you both intensely before becoming more harsh,

"This was unacceptable. Even in a real battle this wouldn't work. You both have hypothetically killed a countless amount of bystanders."

Both of you stayed quiet this time.

'Fuck this bitch'

'Fuck Katsuki Bakugou.'

And at that same time, that's the only thing you two could think about.

But even so, what still was irritating Katsuki the most, was the way he kept glaring at you, almost desperate for you to pick up on his hateful message. And still, after an over hour long fight, you stayed looking ahead, nonchalant of anything and everything around you. Especially him.

S Todoroki -

While it could be argued that maybe his cold demenor was just an ironic extension of the ice quirk in his genes, a lot of class 1-A grew to understand a lot of it was due to his upbringing. Shoto Todoroki, although undoubtedly dense, aloof, and simply nonchalant at extreme times, is still one of the most kindest, caring, and unintentionally funny students at UA. Not to mention strong as fuck.

During your first year, you and Katsuki Bakugou were offen placed in the same category. Though you both had many differences, (the main one you being just a bit more popular since you were nothing short of stunning), while Bakugou often would threaten and warn people, you earned the classes "#1 Crashout Title" because of just how quick you were.

One time, Denki and Mineta tried a prank on you in the beginning of class. It was early into the year, and you'd wasted no time proving to be on par with the strongest students. You're rough, but sweet when someone managed not to piss you of personality made you someone people wanted to get close to, but werent entirely sure how.

Shoto remembered thinking that same day how it aggravated him. You were another strong student, one he needed to push past to become even stronger than All Might himself. But while he kept everyone at a distance for that, he found himself resenting you for more personal reasons.

When you sat down, a small device stuck to your chair with a telltale purple ball, gushed a wind of air, attempting to push your skirt up into the area above where your panties wouldve been exposed.

The half and half hero watched as you quickly stood, and made your way to Mineta in an almost scary time. Not a single word was said, but a thousand were about to be shown. A low, but fierce kick smashed into the small mans cheek, his much weaker body rapidly excelling through the same air he wanted your clothing to be in.

He was propelled towards the closed window, most of the class assumed hed splat against it and fall to the floor, but still within the classroom. To quite a few people's surprise, the window shattered and glass bits scattered through the floor and against shoes. Mineta screamed as he began to free dive out the window.

Shoto's face remained neutral in the crowd of concerned expressions, but found his head going light. Most of the twerps in the hero course just simply weren't on his level. A lot of them hesitated, or worried on loud words to start a battle. You havent even said a word, but in a real battle, youd be victorious within 30 seconds.

Everyone was now sure youd stop, but an uncomfortable atmosphere of pure rage seemed to seep out your skin, you still werent done. The second Mineta started falling, you braced an arm on the now exposed window sill, and maneuvered your whole body out the entrance with ease, still chasing after the beat up boy.

About a minute later, the shocked silence was broken with what finally seemed to be your voice chewing out Mineta. In-between exploits and vile, detailed threats, the sounds of skin being beat in and whiney screams echoed throughout the campus.

After a brief scolding from Aizawa, things went back to normal, besides the missing student who was most definitely in the infirmary. The U-A staff was starting to get used to the ugly actions of one of 1-As prettiest students.

Shoto almost wanted to admire you. The small glimpses of intrigue really blossomed the following week, during the USJ attack.

While everything went to plan at first, you and Katsuki picking fights with each other, then snapping at whoever tried to break you too up.

At one point, he tried making a comment in-between you and Katsukis argument, just as you were about to start throwing hands.

He watched as you huffed, and shoved your face close to his to inspect him. He knew he should have felt scared. He knew the face of someone who was about to get violent, and he saw you express every minor discomfort through violent outbursts. But even so, even though your fist was balled up in a perfect form, inches away from his right cheek, he didnt recognize that familiar face.

Although you were clearly pissed, you scowled when you noticed no fearful reaction from him. You wanted to punch that scar off his face so bad. You let him know that too. You grabbed onto his face and pinched it, before pulling it and forcing his head to bop against the (soft so it didnt do much) seat of the UA bus.

He knew he should have been ready to fight, but all he could think was how when your face dropped for only a second when you didn't find any worried expression on him. Even though you still got a little violent, he just remembered thinking how when you werent so angry, you sort of looked like the deep blue Rindou flowers at his home garden.

When the villains attacked, rightfully so, a lot of students were terrified, some hesitating on whether it was a part of the training or not.

But you quickly scouted out who seemed to be the main boss, the lousy blue haired man who smelt kind of weird. You wasted no time speeding towards him, landing a blast of physical attacks towards his face, and vital body areas when he went to defend against those.

For a minute, you were going so fast, he was physically unable to block or attack you. While no one knew this at the time, this also prevented the use of his quirk. Kurogiri, looking from the sidelines, promptly teleported you and the others at random to hold off the rate at which Shigaraki was already getting wounded.

You and Shoto found yourselves together, he saw you still attacking at the air, screaming for whoever to let you back at him. He looked away from your antics when noticing a strange shift in atmosphere, upon noticing a wave of lower level villains swarming your way. He spread a sheet of ice to stop the attacks, enclosing you in the process.

"Fuck ! Ill kill you too, you burnt up bitch !" You yelled it in a way that lowercase doesnt do justice, but Shoto decided to ignore it and keep going on to help the others.

He found you suddenly behind him, locking him into a chokehold. He spit quickly that you didnt have time to throw another tantrum, and slapped your hand away before encasing it in ice.

He began running to the center, before you appeared infront of him. Was that what your quirk was ? Despite being one of the top in your physical assessment, you hadnt used your quirk once. He noticed the ice was gone. Damnit.

"We really dont have time for this."

"Oh shut up ! Ill send your ass to the stratosphere !" He sighed, running off anyway. Even when you were loud and angry, you never reminded him of anything bad. It was just like a strong breeze thrashing the Rindou stems around. You remained beautiful in a way, just unstable.

He pushed you out of his mind as he saw you teleporting into different various spots, getting closer and closer to the main defendant. Even with the wind mercilessly pushing at you, you stayed upright, and kept pushing and thrashing back.

When the students went back to UA, most people were shocked and scared when Aizawa ominously said the fight wasnt over. You, however, started screaming frantically about how youd 'kill the bitch' scratching deep marks into your desk. Aizawa stayed silent as Iida scolded you for breaking school property, but the anger still fresh inside you had him skedaddling back to his seat once redirected at him.

"You will be participating in the UA sports festival."

He looked over to you, who was now stabbing holes into the desk with a pencil. He wondered what it'd be like to actually fight you. While he brushed it off as a good chance to prove to his father how strong his ice was without him, a part of him looked forward to possibly seeing that just slightly shocked face you'd wear when looking at him for too long.

Okey so sadly we don't have a lot of info of the full group dynamic besides some clues and what we know is them literally at their worst thinking they we're going to die in a meteor,after a full one month campaign in the game they had won yet was taken from them being chased by an undefeatable enemy that destroyed their planets and probably their lusus too. And at the end three of them going on a rampage and killing the rest of the team

So not the most reliable info of how their normal dynamic as a friendgroup would be, but tbh it could never be "healthy friendgroup" in a human sense because, well, they live in Alternia.

But even in hell, the flower of friendship can blossom, so lets talk about the fucked up friendship between these kids:

We know little about how their friendship started, contrary with the Beta Kids that we know because of June's birthday presente for Jade arriving in the past to young Jade with her pesterchum and her probably looking at the clouds in Prospit and seeing there the pesterchum of Rose and Dave following suit

Because the Beta Trolls are a much bigger group and we dont really know if they actually celebrate their wriggling days, as none of the trolls mentioned it but it could also be in part because of Karkat's disdain for the celebration or them maybe not knowing because he is a very private kid after all

Maybe Kanaya was the first troll that befriended all of them, like Jade was and both of them being the assigned Space player of their group and the first ones to wake in Prospit, but i also doubt that considered she didnt went through the birthday gift shenanigan that young Jade went through

So what most likely happened: The trolls who we're closest to eachother (Equius and Vriska, Eridan and Feferi, Aradia and Tavros, Terezi and Vriska* (not totally sure about that one) and maybe Sollux and Aradia/Feferi) befriended eachother first and meet the rest (Karkat, Nepeta, Gamzee, Kanaya) online and just shared their info between eachother.

I honestly wonder who thought of the idea of all sharing their Trollian between eachother, maybe Feferi? maybe it just happened overtime? but what matters right now is the

F R I E N D S H I P

So today we will talk about the underrated friendships between the group

Starting with Aradia and Tavros! Both members of Team Charge, i see very few people talk about them as friends even though they were obviously very close considering they we're part of a Flarp campaign together.

Both seem to match pretty well personality wise, both adventurous and wanting to have fun in the game, Aradia knows that Tavros picked a hard class for himself yet she still encourages him and tries to cheer him on and advice him in the case of Vriska trying to get under his skin.

When Vriska starts to surrond him, she tries to communicate with her first, but sadly she and terezi where distracted by Doc Scratch, so he gets paralized

Side note: After Aradia and Terezi, his third option for asking for help is Karkat, which is...interesting, they dont talk a lot but when they do its Tavros trying to get advice/help from him (2 out of 3 convos), so either Karkat and Tavros have more convos besides the ones showed (very likely) or Karkat just having a reputation of helping with issues that he is the first one who comes to Tavros's mind

also Karkat calling him bro is so fucking funny cdbhd, idk if its sarcasm or if its genuine like with Eridan but he seems worried for a little before going on a rant about how stupid this is, only to come back trying to advice him to do this in private (also he winks at him as GTavrossprite but thats smt for the Tavkat shippers)

Anyway, back to Aradia, after her death we dont know about their relationship that much, we know that the whole reason that this whole revenge cycle was because Aradia wanted to avenge Tavros

But after her death, we don't know if they talk or if Tavros even knows she is dead, as it was mostly secret that only Sollux, Vriska, Terezi and Equius seem to know,

What we know is that Aradia keeps Tavros close to her heart, as the only reason she didnt straight up kill Vriska is

Because he was there to see it

And thats all the info we have of their relationship while Aradia was a robot, is more than likely Tavros confronted Vriska (besides creating Bec Noir) because Aradiabot had just exploded and he was blaming her for that too (especulation)

Their post-death/revival shows them having the same relationship pre-aradia's death, after they find eachother in the afterlife

Staying with Tavros, another friendship people dont seem to talk a lot about is Kanaya and Tavros, which tbh, we dont have a conversation on screen between them, but we know they talk and Kanaya tries to mediate to help him when Vriska is bullying him

And also, even after she cut Vriska out because of the whole ''Having a crush on her but finding out she has a crush on Tavros'' (probably because she was sulking) she seems to have a fine relationship with Tavros, as she made a Tinkerbull plushie for him

To other friendships, Kanaya and Feferi! Another group of trolls with very few coversations, but we can easily tell in those that they cared for eachother

They have a lot in common, being of the few trolls who woked up in their moons before the game, having a huge responsability as their lusus can either kill or revive their entire civilization, being in a unhappy moiralliagance (with their cases kinda mirroring eachother, with Feferi not wanting to be in any quadrants while Eridan wants to change them, while Kanaya wants to change quadrants while Vriska seems to be fine with where they are) and knowing their lusus were going to die when they were 13

Feferi and Kanaya seem to have very a similar relationship as Karkat and Eridan, where they advise eachother about their moirals + possible romantic relationships. And their very contrasting personalities helps them balance eachother out

Feferi is even comfortable enough to invite Kanaya to the horn pile and knowing Kanaya's expressions enough to guess that she is nervous about coming off as meddling with them

After Feferi gets killed off, Kanaya is already ready to attack, only waiting to see what Eridan is planning to do, attack her first or trying to escape

If it weren't for Kanaya distracting herself with the matriorb, and Eridan inmediately picking on this opportunity

To piss her off enough to set her off and attack him first

So she is an easier target that he can kill her off without a fight

Speaking about this two, next time we will to talk about the complicated (annoying) friendship between these two, why next time? because this post is already getting to fucking long!

Sometimes I get frustrated with how oblivious arthur was to merlins magic with the whole dream talk and merlin literally doing magic under his nose, but then I remember how arthur grew up thinking magic is awful and evil and that this all just shows how much he not only trusts but cares about Merlin.

Not only does he not even question merlin having magic bc he trusts him that much, everyone else he once in a while questioned but merlin he didnt even think about it until merlin himself said it, but he also cares for merlin that much that he doesnt even want to question it. Doesnt want that an option and simply would rather let situations slip than consider his closest companion doing something hes against. And I think thats because arthur knows for sure he could never kill merlin, but hes also not ready to know it was always around him. So he simply lets everything slip by.

I dont think he ever sat and thought about it, about those situations, it was always a straight instinct of ‘merlin doesnt have magic’ and that was the end of any kind of thought because not only did he not feel he had to question merlin and his loyality, but he didnt want to.

tbh i dont think i write happy endings so much as i write hopeful, bittersweet, or open-ended ones-- i tend to like catharsis more than fluff when it comes down to it. but out of my fluff fics i think honey it's starting to storm (HC) is one of the genuinely sweetest ive written. my runner-ups on that would probably be when the smoke does finally pass (TMA) and or we could just have conversation (MSA) :]

not typically, and ive never published any, but i am definitely not immune to them 😂😂😂😂 i think my most niche crossover ive actually written (never to see the light of day) was a Nine Lives of Chloe King and Supernatural fic that was the definition of self-indulgent rot. only a little less niche than that was a Mortal Instruments and Supernatural crossover (theres a running theme here lol) lying in snippets on an ancient google doc in my oldest gmail acct. reread that one recently and its shockingly coherent for being written in like. 2016. id even call it decent (though theres a lot id change up if i were writing it now)

What are your writing weaknesses?

i tend to get a little too funky and abstract with my descriptions sometimes-- that can work for some scenes, but grounding everything so that it feels more real and makes actual sense to the reader is something i often have to do on the second, third, and final passes

OKAY CAUSE LISTEN. (till character analysis let’s go) (apologies in advance this is LONGG)

if till is actually in love with mizi then there is literally no outcome in which him and ivan are happy.

because 1) he’ll never love ivan as long as mizi is alive, and 2) even if he thinks mizi is dead, ivan will only ever be a rebound, the second choice he turned to when mizi wasn’t an option.

however, i would like for you to consider that maybe, instead, the problem is that till doesn’t know how to properly process or identify his feelings. i would like to propose that maybe he misinterpreted his feelings for mizi as love when in actuality he views her as some unattainable idol to covet but not actually connect with (like parasocial relationships).

meanwhile, ivan was always there for him and slowly became a support system till didn’t even know he had. because even if he didnt feel LOVE for ivan, they definitely had a REAL relationship—arguably more real than anything he ever had with mizi. all of their interactions are just like. much more RAW than anything till ever had with mizi if that makes sense. because all we’ve ever seen him doing with her is admiring from afar and sacrificing things for her in secret that she never asked for, nor wanted from him. while with ivan they actually hung out with absolutely no expectations of anything between them (on till’s side at least. it wasn’t a performative relationship to be this self sacrificing person for ivan like it would’ve been if he were talking to mizi. which is ironically a much more healthy basis for a relationship. to fully see the person as being equal to you without putting them on a pedestal)

i think till’s way of coping with everything was finding someone else outside himself to live for and idolize. his entire life was built around mizi, every choice he made committed with her in mind (like when he chose to stay in the garden rather than escaping for her sake). and once she’s ripped away, he’s left feeling empty and aimless—the center of his very world is no longer there.

HOWEVER.

this is shaken by ivan’s death. even though mizi was always his center, he can’t exactly not be affected by someone who’s been at his side for YEARS. and, unlike with mizi, their bond was definitely real and very much tangible for BOTH sides (despite meaning different things for each of them). but when ivan died FOR him, till felt something that was very real and very confusing which was very much a mixture of raw emotions he wasn't prepared to face feeling from anyone apart from mizi. because while mizi is his ideal, i think his feelings about her were always accompanied by a sense of disconnect because they didnt have any actual basis for this bond beyond till simply yearning for her. but with ivan. they were friends. they trusted each other by this point, and ivan has shown that he cares for till REPEATEDLY throughout them knowing each other. and.

i think till subconsciously acknowledged that ivan was important to him, even if just as a background support in his life. someone he hung out with without thinking about it too much. and i think that sense of care came very gradually too. because ivan is a weird mf but he still managed to worm his way into till’s world, and now he’s a staple there, even if till himself isn’t aware of that.

mainly just my vibe here is that his feelings surrounding ivan are very messy and complicated (as real life emotions tend to be) and that wasn’t what till was looking for when he was younger. he needed something stable, something he could look at and idolize from afar. something he could dedicate his messed up life to without having to worry about other complicated feelings. and that was what mizi was to him. a purpose to live that was unchanging because no matter what till himself did or what happened to him, it didn’t affect HER. and that was comforting. but ivan existed outside of his little ideal. and he was a real person who (unfortunately :/ ) made till feel real things that were outside of his control. which wasnt what he needed when he was younger—he needed stability. but i think in the end he had the most chance of an actual developed, healthy, and consistent relationship with ivan.

chaos lords tend to take a few traits after their familiars.

klarions pupils work the same way cats do. slits when hes relaxed, big and round when hes excited. he may purr on occasion but its usually only directed at teekl when shes snuggled into him. he likes to push things off of tables but thats not a familiar trait thing, he just saw teekl do it once and thought it looked fun.

child is cold to the touch and if the light hits her right her skin seems opalescent. her bones are partially transparent and looks like its made from opals and white quartz despite being solid bone

chaos lords need their familiars to be concious to stay properly on the mortal plane. thus, they need to sleep when their familiar is asleep. e.g. klarion wont ever discorporealize from teekl taking a catnap but he has the option of phazing in or out of the mortal plane for a while (annoying but harmless), waking her up (worse) or taking a nap w teekl (best choice)

in fact pretty much all chaos lords (and lords of order if the shoe fits) revolve their daily schedules around their familiars sleep schedules, despite familiars sleeping far less than normal animals

lords of order generally dont have to be on the mortal plane very often and actively avoid it, unlike chaos lords who delight in being able to go, so its rarer for them to need anchors or familiars. nabu was basically their get out of work card

chaos/order lord language is mostly consistent of loud humming, hollow noises, and clear tones. the way electricity sounds, ice cracking, thunder rumbling, tuning forks, and so on also appear on occasion, and its easy to compare the noise they make to the sound of a planet spinning. there is a mild telepathic aspect of it used to convey mood and feelings as well. its like body language but psychich, and no actual words, thoughts or images are spoken psychically

its common to choose what noises are used based on favourite sounds and tones, hence the need for the telepathy. telempathy?? yeah thats a word now. gender is also linked to noises.

gender isnt really a thing the way it is for humans. sex as well, but genetics are. lords of whatever reproduce by deciding "i want a kid actually" and then manifesting a soul for that child. ideally you want between 2-5 lords manifesting at once so theres a variation in the powers used to bring them to life, if you only manifested a child from one lord youd just get a badly made copy of that lord.

manifesting a child is not seen as sexual, its more like witnessing a birth, so its not uncommon for children to just pop up out of nowhere in public. generally this has few reactions from others beyond congratulations. the knowledge of how to do it is still kept from children and young lords to prevent bad copies or irresponsible duplications from inexperience. not to mention that parenthood is kind of a big deal, you dont want a lord who was born last millennia try to make a shit duplicate, fail, and essentially rip themself in half, erasing them from existence

it is seen as. vulgar. to ask someone to help create a child. you generally say out loud "i want a child and need help" and suitors will offer their help. after that its pick or choose.

biological sex isnt a thing due to the way children are created, but gender still is there to some degree. some dont have one at all, while some have very strong feelings of it. its linked massively to noises and is seen as an accessory, like wearing a favourite bracelet or a cool tshirt. for some only hollow and humming tones is the perfect gender, for others low thundering rumbling with highpitched tones is excellent, and some might prefer using all the noises or stick to just one, and some may change periodically

chaos lords are always red and lords of order are always yellow but the hue and saturation varies. some are more pink, some are kinda orange, some are blood colored, some have specks of different colors or ombres or stripes, some are very light or very dark, and so on etc etc

klarion has more than once refered to lords of order as "piss rocks from space"

i literally have so much to say about q and toey and we are and im sitting here like AAAAA. i had to write it down.

i see people being upset about the jealousy thing and the way Q acted and how he started teasing Toey about the kiss: but it was very clear that no feelings were talked about or cemented at the amusement park. Q asked Toey if he understood Chain was hitting on him, unaware it was a ruse for him to admit feelings for Toey. he did admit those feelings, but not in a "claiming toey as his bf" way, in a "i need you to know im an option for you and my feelings are real" way. (He literally said "what if i hit on you too?" the unasked question beside that: "how would you feel about me if i did?") Q was actually giving Toey the choice to react however he wanted to when he kissed him.

Honestly it was a really good way for Q to approach the subject bc he didnt get mad at Toey OR Chain for their "potential" feelings. He was jealous but he tried to figure out how they both truly felt about each other before acting. (and Chain lied to Q and said he had feelings for Toey.) Toey didn't actually lie, I noticed. He just said Chain had been very nice to him. If Toey had given blatant confirmation that he had feelings for Chain, Q would have backed off, I'm certain of it. But instead of lying, (or admitting he actually liked Q,) Toey made it seem like he was considering Chain as a possible romantic interest, and Q heard that and chose to let Toey know that he could also be a possible romantic interest.

He gave Toey the choice to say no to the kiss. Toey kissed back. But that was not them becoming a couple! (Notice that later, Toey never said he and Q were together, only that he believed he had a chance with Q.)

I actually find it similar to what Phum and Peem are going through atm. They are not officially dating yet!!! they havent talked about that at all! theyve kissed twice, but they dont know what they are, and they are taking their time figuring it out, and there's nothing wrong with not labelling their relationship immediately.

So that's what I saw the teasing scene as. As Q being like "hey, remember that time we kissed. and you kissed back. im here as an option for you to date, are you gonna do anything about that? how does that make you feel? are we gonna talk about it? hope you figure it out soon <3"

and i dont find anything wrong with that! WHAT MADE THINGS MESSY WAS THE REVEAL OF THE RUSE.

Which was confusing because it wasn't revealed that the group had planned for chain to pretend-hit on toey. What WAS revealed was that the whole group knew that milk frappe boy was Toey, and Q didnt. That's what made Q explode so bad. Like, i think that scene was meant to be confusing, because Q kept saying "explain it to me" as well as "i dont want to hear it". I think all he really saw in the moment was his entire friend group in the know about something important to him that he'd never told them, while faced with learning Toey was the anonymous boy from his past, and had known, and had kept it from him.

Like yeah, I can imagine the kind of betrayal Q must have felt! He had just kissed Toey! And it slowly made more sense as to why Q reacted as strongly as he did bc more was revealed while Q was trying to come to terms with milk frappe boy and Toey being the same person.

Because it isnt until after the explosion that we learn Q had had it BAD for milk frappe boy. That he'd even talked to Toey about it and how bad he felt for disappearing on the mystery boy he'd liked so much. This scene was really complicated bc we were seeing it from Toey's perspective, as him learning that Q had had feelings for him and then advising Q to try and find milk frappe boy to find out the truth about his feelings, without Toey telling Q it was him all along.

But I think from Q's perspective, that scene was about trying to admit to himself that he'd made a mistake and should have done better by the anonymous boy. I think he was also trying to express that he was past it now, and trying to move on. Pairing that interpretation with the conversation between Q and Peem that was like "well this is how you felt about milk frappe boy, how do you feel about Toey?" and you get the impression Q considered his feelings for milk frappe boy a lost cause, but he was okay with that because he had found Toey, and started liking him instead.

So learning that they were the same person was really complicated for him! Q's got a lot to work through! a lot of conversations and interactions to reframe in his mind. And of course he's hurt that Toey never told him who he was, but what made that hurt more was learning Toey had told the rest of the group first.

I think that's also what's beating Toey up the most - that his real feelings for Q had turned into a real lie, by choosing to play along with the ruse their friends invented. He was someone who, before, was always content to give Q space and just be near him, so manipulating his feelings the way that they all did, and Q discovering his identity as milk frappe boy in the midst of that ruse is something I don't think Toey ever imagined or wanted to happen - that he was and would have been willing to let things unfold naturally - even admit to his identity later if there'd been a more honest chance for it.

for literal years (i have no sense of time, its honestly probably just half a year but i could be horrifically wrong—i blame covid for destroying it), i have had this... au. where i just. put nanami. in hsr.

like—instead of caelus or stella being the mc, nanami is and thats whats hes been doing all those years when he was away from sorcery. i do hc that he spent at least one year as a salaryman to get that signature "my soul has been sucked out by capitalism" look and "we should reform society to be better" mindset lmao

i imagine that like—the way it works is that everything happens roughly the same in the main story, its just the little minute differences that change kinda like how everyones playthru of hsr is slightly different because we chose diff dialogue options or whatever

so like—he goes thru belobog, goes thru the xianzhou, goes thru penacony, and then all the side quests, and thats when he decides to go back home (did i base it off my own hsr progress? haha... yeah. lmao)

i dont know who exactly he goes down back to earth with but i do have this one scene in my head where he meets up with himeko. and as much as i like the idea of him going down alone, i dont think the express is gonna let him lmao. best i can imagine is march and welt. welt because this is the most similar to his old home of hi3 (which i want to play so bad but alas i have a life), and march because she serves as a nice contrast to the low energies of nanami and welt AHAHA

i did consider benching her since shes been going to expeditions nonstop but like—the contrast gotta b there honey, thats what you call good writing and good character dynamic lmao. but yeah—he goes down, calls up gojo, and welt and march go off to fuck about.

i imagine that gojos fuckin stunned to see him after so many years because like—he was working a dead end job and then one day he fucking disappears. and it would scare gojo too since like, his entire thing is being able to see things, to percieve things, and as op as gojo is, im p sure he isnt able to see far enough to find nanami in the cold and dark depths of space. all he knows is—he was there, and then, his cursed energy disappears like a candle that went out. all he can assume is that he died or some curse users got to him. but if he died, a sorcerer of his caliber would produce a CRAZY curse spirit. and if curse users got to him, there would be some sort of trace or destruction left behind as a trail because nanami wont go that easy and if he did turn into a curse user, he would be able to pick up the curse energy residue.

so now here he is, back infront of him like some kind of disappearing act AND with some strange and crazy energy inside him. like a fucked up star or black hole or something. somethings obviously happened to him, and if the weird disappearance and reappearance or the weird-ass thing inside him didnt clue him in—he would rip out his own eyes. and he KNOWS that is this nanami because the Six Eyes never lie. (hehe kenjaku prison realm moment)

so now hes tasked with figuring out what the fuck happened to nanami and what the fuck that pulsing thing inside him is—but hes conflicted about it because jesus christ, it was just him and ieiri for so long and theyre both so desperate and so happy to see an old friend again and—and they don't know if they can disregard whatever the fuck happened to him and if hes a threat, because god they missed him so much (hehe geto moment)

MEANWHILE march and welt are snooping around and they find a curse, which they easily defeat obviously and welt has... a WEIRD feeling about these "curses". like hes experienced facing this kind of energy before... so they go curse hunting a little bit more and holy shit. thats when welt realizes.

the reason why the curses and curse energy is so familiar is because he REALLY DID face this sort of energy before—and he faced that energy in the form of rAIDEN MEI WHEN SHE WAS WAVING AROUND HER NIHILITY ABILITIES. so now the express HAS to start meddling because the fucking NIHILITY is HERE and this world has been drowning in the powers of the nihility for actual fucking CENTURIES and at this point, and its going to be too goddamn predictable if theres a fucking stellaron causing it. (there isnt but theyre so used to it at this point lmao)

8/10 composition is gr8 but details like the shirt & the yellow flowers are wrong, also the stick is backwards. i literally looked up what that thing is called and forgot already tee hee
