An indepth analysis of various Spocks using scales of Cuntiness and Bitchiness
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TOS Spock
A category 10 quake on the Cunter-scale, has a PhD in cuntology. So cunty it breaks the meter, levels of cunt unimaginable to the ordinary man it cannot be categorised. The needle is spinning out wildly because his cuntiness cannot be measured by the usual metrics.
Highly Bitchy, but in a controlled way. Will lash out when put in situationsTM or placed with Doctor McCoy. Will tone down on bitchiness when comforting his Captain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AOS Spock
Serving cunt but as a side and not the main course. Is highly cunty but not as much as Spock Prime. Has not has enough screentime to unleash his full Cuntology expertise. I recon he can serve more cunt but I need another movie to prove my theory.
Severly Bitchy, so bitchy it breaks the scale. The first time we see him on screen he is already bitching. Has a Bs, Ms, and PhD. in Bitchology. Putting him with his Captain or the CMO will increase bitchiness to levels that can't even be measured as our scales do not go that high. The bitchiest Spock yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SNW Spock
Still a young man and has not completed his studies in the art of being Cunty. In his compulsory heterosexuality fuck boy era but I see potential. Mildly cunty when he is allowed to be. I am confident that his cunt will increase when he learns about eyeshadow, eyeliners, mascara, lipstick and billowing robes.
A moderate bitch, generally nicer and more mild manner than the other spocks but he certainly has his momments. When placed with Sam Kirk bitchiness will increase exponentially over time. I am confident that overtime as his exposure to humans increases his bitching abilities can be properly honed and weaponised.

For some reason my comments don't come through on your posts, but I want to first say I absolutely love your writing and I'm so happy your requests are open!! 🥰😭 So I've had this idea of a fluff mixed with spencer angst where reader is maybe interning at Diana's facility (not a dr yet, studying) and becomes close with Diana by reading, chatting, etc and Spencer over hears it from time to time and the dialogue between spencer and reader gets too close for Spencers comfort, but Diana wants her around more. Thank you again for your hard work okay bye!
A/N: I've never written a fic with Diana in it before, so this was a bit of a challenge for me, bit I enjoyed writing it a lot! Hopefully, this is somewhat like what you wanted!! ❤️
Warnings: Spencer is a bit dense (real) and puts his foot in his mouth (metaphorically, of course).
Tumblr media
Diana Reid's son was exactly the way she described him, down to the tiny curls at the base of his neck and the glimmer of intelligence in his eye.
After four weeks interning at the care facility while working on your medical degree, you'd spent a considerable amount of time with your favorite patient, and her stories about her son were legendary.
At first, you weren't sure whether to believe the woman when she said her son was a genius with an IQ of 187, three PhDs, and a job in the FBI. She wouldn't be the first schizophrenic patient to muddle up her facts, but she certainly was the sweetest.
So when you recalled your conversation with the head nurse later that day, she laughed and confirmed every story about Doctor Spencer Reid. Your mouth hung open in shock because surely nobody that incredible could just be out walking the streets.
Another month of conversations about the man, and you were half in love with him. He wrote his mother letters every day - hand wrote them, even - and she's shown you a few. He'd talked about his friends, his team, his jobs, and how he was saving lives. And when one of the latest ones dropped in the news that he'd be free for a visit soon, you found yourself overflowing with anticipation.
Of course, you felt like you already knew the man. You knew what his first words were, what his favorite toy was growing up, and even about the exploits of his first date, as pitiful as it was. What you didn't know was if Diana was passing along similar information about you.
The day Spencer Reid finally showed up, he took your breath away. You were mostly in awe of Diana's ability to describe her son perfectly, though you'd grown fond of her perfectly professional English Lecturer tone of speaking over the last few weeks. She was practically lyrical when talking her son into existence.
“His hair curls beautifully. He's my little adonis. He keeps it too long though, I'm always telling him he needs to cut it because it hides too much of his face,” she'd told you one day before picking her book up and ignoring you for the next half hour.
“My Spencer is delightfully tall. He's a little bit spindly like a spider. He's not the most grateful, that's for sure, we used to call him crash because he was always bumping into things. Poetic, right?”
You knew from the second he walked through the door that this man was him.
Tall, slightly hunched, clutching his satchel strap in his hand, terrifyingly handsome and making your hand jump into your throat. Definitely him, and definitely a problem. You'd have to check the code of conduct about falling hopelessly for a patient's beautiful son.
If you had any doubts, this was Spencer in front of you though, when he bumped into a chair just as he was about to reach his mother, it was confirmed.
“Diana, I believe your Crash is here,” you smiled and giggled, watching her turn quickly to greet her son.
You, too, gave him a warm smile, but he seemed a little hesitant to return it, instead greeting his mother softly and sitting with her while you retreated slightly to give them some privacy.
You hovered in the space, as Diana had been talking about introducing the two of you all week, and you didn't want to distress her if she couldn't find you close by.
But though Spencer was closely attentive and soft with his mother, he took brief pauses to stare almost frustratedly at you. You weren't sure what it was, but something about you was setting Spencer on edge, and that in itself was unsettling you as well.
“Oh, Spencer, you must meet our Y/N. Y/N, come here, this is my son, Spencer.”
Slightly more apprehensive now, you held out your hand to shake his, “I've heard so much about you  it's nice to finally be seeing you in person, Doctor Reid.”
He didn't shake your hand, though, but awkwardly waved it off quickly, leaving you to awkwardly replace it by your side.
“Nice to meet you. Are you a new attendant? I asked all updates about my mother's companions to be confirmed and passed on to me, patient and carers included.”
His tone was business-like and clipped, and you could see a gentle annoyance settling on his features.
“I'm sorry, Doctor Reid, I thought Diana would have told you in a letter, or the administration would've passed it on. I'm a medical student on an internship.” You felt like you'd been chastised by an irate parent though he'd at no point raised his voice or indicated in his words any sense of anger at all. His eyes burned across your skin, though, and you felt a flame heat your skin under the weight of his stare.
“You're mother has told me a lot about you though, she reads me your letters sometimes, between our discussions of Marjorie Kempe.”
“My letters? Mom, we've talked about this. Those are private.” You looked at the quiet disappointment on Diana's face and felt protective over the woman all of a sudden.
“Please, I'm sorry for overstepping, but your mother is just very proud of you. She talks about you a lot actually, and your job-”
“With all due respect, Y/N, the last time my mother talked to a new friend about me, he traveled to Virginia and shot one of my friends, so this really is a conversation I'd rather not be having.”
Your heart dropped into your stomach as he turned back to his mother and started talking to her gently again about personal security, effectively dismissing you from the conversation.
You'd had stupid hopes for Spencer Reid, and that's all they would ever be.
Reid talked on, and you left him alone with his mother, though she seemed distracted by your departure.
“Spencer, that wasn't nice. Look at that poor girl. She's close to tears.”
“What? Mom, are you even listening to me?”
“No, and I likely won't until you go and apologize to Y/N. She's a pretty girl, Spencer, and she was very excited to meet you.”
“Pretty…. Mom, please.”
“What, do you disagree? You think I don't know you well enough to know when a girl would suit you well? Or do you think I'm blind to the fact that you were stealing glances at her before she introduced herself.”
Spencer went quiet at having been caught, and he hated to accept that maybe his mother was right.
It was true as well that the care facility had informed him of medical interns coming and going in the next few months, and really, she wasn't to blame for his mother being fond of him.
He was glad, though, that neither of them had noticed the ten minutes he'd spent just outside the large sitting area watching them talk. He'd been obviously taken aback to see someone new so close to his mom and his mom similarly comfortable. He felt even worse for the fact that for a solid minute and a half, he'd stared at the girl with no other thought in his head than the sound of his heart skipping a questioning beat.
He'd pulled himself out of it eventually, but only when another nurse had come along to ask him if he'd actually be visiting his mother today or just dropping in to check on her.
And then he'd bumped into that infernal chair when he was so fixated on getting to them, and she'd opened her mouth and called him crash, and his heart had sank.
He reminded himself it was neither of their faults and inwardly cursed himself for being so unfriendly with someone who'd taken such good care of his mother recently.
He promised himself that he'd talk with his mom and then go and find the woman, and apologising for being such a brute.
“Spencer, are you listening to me, or are you busy daydreaming about my nurse?”
“Mom!”
“You're plain as day, kiddo, you'll never get anything past me. Now please, leave me be, I'm reading. Come back later if you must, but for now, take this to Y/N for me, please. She left it with me to read this morning, but I'm not in the mood for Medieval Romance right now.”
It was a blatant lie, but a dismissal nonetheless, and Spencer quietly took his chance to search for you in the halls.
The head nurse humorously pointed him in the right direction without him asking, much to his annoyance, but he persisted and lightly tapped on your shoulder to greet you.
“Oh, Doctor Reid, hello again.” You smiled a little smaller this time, still polite, but he watched the way it didn't reach your eyes and felt like a jackass all over again.
“My mom told me to come return this book to you.” He held out the book, and you quietly took it, folding it into your arms and hugging it tightly against your chest as you both stood there silently after the exchange.
“I'm sorry, as well. I wasn't exactly very friendly back there, because-”
“It's okay, Doctor Reid, you really don't have to explain. I overstepped, it's my fault and it won't happen again.”
“Are you kidding? My mom hasn't looked that relaxed in years. Please keep overstepping.”
Your smile widened slightly at the compliment, and Spencer's tongue kicked into hyper drive immediately at the sight, even as his brain powered off.
“You're pretty,” he blurted out, stopping only as his brain caught up with his tongue before firing off again. “My mom said you're pretty. I agree as well, though, you have a nice smile, and it's better when you don't force it. Not that I'm telling you how to smile, though. I don't know why I'm telling you this, but my mom made me come over here and talk to you, even though I'm pretty sure that's her book and not one you loaned her.”
He took a moment to catch his breath as you blinked at him in confusion, heart beating rapidly even as you heard the blood rushing through your ears.
“If you're free now, would you want to grab a coffee? Unless you have a boyfriend. Or husband. Or girlfriend or wife, I guess, I don't mean to presume. But if you're free, as in time, and free as in, like, relationship wise, I'd like to buy you a coffee to thank you for listening to my mom.”
He finally stopped, and you stared wondrously at the reddened skin of his cheeks as he held his breath, waiting for your reply.
“You want to take me out for coffee to thank me?”
“Yes.”
“And on a separate note, I'm pretty, and you want to know if I'm in a relationship?”
“I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me, I'll just see myself out. It was a stupid idea anyway-”
“No, wait, Spencer! Let me… let me grab my coat. My lunch break is in half an hour, and I'm sure it'll be okay to take it early.” You held his arm for a second, stepping slightly too close for comfort before realising yourself and taking a tiny step back.
He stood and blinked in your direction, as though wondering seriously for a moment what your lunch break had to do with him.
“Are you going to stand there staring at me, or are we going to go out?”
“You're serious?”
“I guess…. I guess I am.”
“And you're… you're single.”
Your mouth went dry as his skin finally completed its transformation from vampiric to tomato red. You desperately hoped your own embarrassment wasn't equally as readable on your face.
“Quite single. Medical students don't have that much time to date.”
“Neither do FBI agents.”
“Perhaps a subject we could talk more about later?”
“Definitely.”

two geniuses (don’t get along)
enemies to lovers;; spencer reid x fem reader!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
masterlist!
note; in this fic lila’s episode happens after elle’s departure to make the story have more sense. (S1 E18). also there have been some changes :))
synopsis; spencer reid; doctor spencer reid. some of them (mostly of them), would say he’s a genius. but if he was, then so you were. maybe that’s why you hate each other. maybe that’s why you can’t stand him.
cw;; +18 content! minors dni!, reader and spencer’s competitive asses, talk of murder, graphic scenes, weapons, guns, blood, shots being fired, lila flirting, spencer kissing lila, lots of fighting, lots of tension, teasing, apologies, reader getting hurt (mentions of stitches), threats, murder of secondary characters, talk about kinks and trauma (spencer being a smartaas), mention of spencer’s childhood and her mom… ( i bet there’s so much more but i can’t remember rn) angst, fluff and smut in upcoming chapters!!!
“another coffee, pretty boy? you wanna die?” morgan inquired the puppy eyed profiler, whose right hand held a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
“actually, the caffeine in coffee has been found in animal and cell studies to protect cells in the brain that produce dopamine. in a large prospective cohort of more than 500,000 people followed for 10 years, an association was found between drinking higher amounts of coffee and lower rates of death from all causes.” he easily spat in less than a mere minute, making morgan scoff.
“it’s not considered coffee if a 99% of it is sugar, reid.” you barged into their conversation, taking a look at the files of new cases.
“sugar is one type of carbohydrate, as are fiber and starch. carbohydrates are essential macronutrients.” he defended himself, taking a sip of his coffee-sugar.
“wrong. although carbohydrates are essential macronutrients since the body uses them in large amounts, something wrong about your thesis is that sugar is not one of those macronutrients. the body doesn’t use it. in fact, the effects of added sugar intake which are higher blood pressure, inflammation, weight gain, diabetes, and fatty liver disease, are all linked to an increased risk for heart attack and stroke. so yeah. technically, morgan was right. you might die.” you nodded towards the man, who smiled at you, walking towards you and taking your face in between his hands.
“have i told you how much i love that brain of yours?” he inquired, leaving a kiss to your forehead. “brilliant.” he smiled, raising his hands in victory since for once he had won spencer and his extensive knowledge. the profiler simply rolled his eyes.
“thanks.” spencer spat at you, to what you smiled.
“you’re very welcome, agent.”
“it’s doctor.”
“yeah, yeah. whatever.”
spencer reid. with an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, and the ability to read 20,000 words per minute, he was considered a real walking genius. maybe that’s why the two of you seemed to despise each other so much. people say geniuses actually like each other. well, you and spencer were the exception. it was easy to get on his nerves. he was not used to having someone smart enough to actually suppose a threat to his intelligence. yet there you were. you had been jumping your way up to college since you were twelve, and at the ripe age of 22, and numerous phds later, you had found yourself working at the BAU.
you had been hired after elle had left the team, and everyone had seemed happy greeting you. you had specially made quick friends of penelope and morgan. something reid didn’t seem to like. well… he didn’t exceptionally like you. something that seemed stupid ‘cause you two were the perfect pair. there was nothing the two of you didn’t know, nothing you wouldn’t catch or realize. maybe that’s why spencer despised you. ‘cause now they had you too, not only him.
it was actually a pity. you liked smart people. you liked to share opinions and learn new things you might not know with the help of others. but spencer was borderline narcissistic, and that made your body cringe in disgust. and worst of all, he was really attractive. curly caramel hair, hazel puppy eyes, full lips, small straight nose, tall stature, pretty hands… also his voice…
well, anyways. you were losing focus.
so you’d decided to match his energy. and that only seemed to make the situation worse. sure, you two worked together, but only because you had to, if you could you’d much prefer to do everything alone rather than have to share office with reid.
hotch caught your attention as he pushed a file on your table.
“and what’s this…?” you sung as you took it, inspecting it.
“training program in los angeles.” you looked at him. he was leaning against your table. “want you to go with gideon and reid.” you let out a single chuckle, tossing the paper on your table.
“no.” you simply said, watching the man sigh. “tell jj to go! or prentiss!” you offered.
“can’t. jj is helping penelope to trace an unsub and prentiss is new, need someone who has been on the ropes longer.”
“then what about morgan? he’s not doing anything.” you pointed at the man who played with a mini football.
hotch looked at you. “please? you are the only one who gets reid. you know how he can be…”
“a narcissistic, egocentric, babbling, childlike, fourteen looking mess? yeah, i know.” you smiled. “but what do i win in this situation? i mean i must gain something if i’m gonna spend more time than necessary with him.”
“a free weekend.”
“done.” you gave him your hand. “a pleasure doing business with you, sir.”
-
“spencer! spencer reid!” you hear someone call for your work-mate, a tall smiling man approaching him and shaking his hand just as the three of you entered an art exhibition. “look at you. you look just the same.” he chuckled as he gives him a quick hug. “nothing changed… spencer was the only 12-year-old in our graduating class. just the same.”
“thanks.” spencer awkwardly says, giving the man a tight smile. “these are special agents jason gideon and (y/n) (l/n). this is parker dunley. we went to high school together as you can probably gather.” he introduces all of you.
“hey. it’s a beautiful gallery.” jason gives him his hand in a shake.
“oh, thank you, thank you. parker smiles, later on turning towards you.
“contemporary art… right?” you inquire offering him your hand, to what he nods. “contemporary modern art includes a wide range of mediums and genres. it is often characterized by its use of new media, such as video and installation art, as well as its rejection of traditional art forms. contemporary modern artists often experiment with form and content, and their work can be highly conceptual.” you say, making the man chuckle.
“i see you brought your computers.” parker jokes with gideon about spencer and you. “another genius like spencer?”
“oh no, men are just smart. woman are the geniuses.” you smile, making him chuckle.
“and funny, huh? i see, i see.”
spencer coughs to grab the man’s attention. “jason’s a big contemporary art enthusiast.”
“well, we’re exhibiting four up-and-coming artists in this show. everything is for sale. and i could definitely swing a nice discount for a friend of…” he loses focus as a blonde beautiful woman enters the exhibition. “lila! hey. guys, come on.” he invites you three towards his friend, coming up to her to say hello.
“do i look 12-years-old to you?” spencer inquired gideon, to what you scoffed, thanking the waiter that offered and served you a glass of champagne.
“oh, totally.” you said as you took it, taking a sip as you heard spencer crack a fake laugh.
“real funny.”
you three made your way towards parker and… lila. she was a beautiful blue eyes-blonde young girl. the basic american beauty standard.
“spencer. you ever met a real movie star?” the man asks, to what the girl beside the blonde scoffs.
“movie star? please. she has a supporting role on a television series about beach volleyball. totally blue-collar.” your eyebrows slightly rise.
“what a friend…” you whisper to your glass, taking another sip of the champagne.
“i’m lila.” the girl gives a sweet smile to spencer, and you almost roll your eyes.
it’s only a matter of time.
“hi, im doctor spencer reid… i’m spencer. you don’t have to call me doctor.” he corrects himself.
lila chuckles. in 3… 2… 1… and tucks her hair behind her ear. there we go.
“cool.” you say, turning around without even introducing yourself, it’s not as if she’d pay attention to you. she’s too focused on spencer to care as you make your way through the gallery, taking the artwork in, trying to scape the probable flirting that was about to go down.
later on you found the two of them chatting in front of a picture in which the blue and green dominate.
“does it make you feel anything?” the blonde asked him, and you silently expect an answer from spencer.
“like what?” he asks. god he sucks.
“i can’t tell you how to feel.” lila chuckles at his frown.
“right now i feel pretty good.” he smiled and you roll your eyes.
“lila? can i talk to you for a moment?” parker interrupts their chatting and the girl nods, quickly glancing at spencer.
“excuse me.”
“sure!” he gently says, and you make your way towards him.
“feeling pretty good, huh?” you inquire him, teasingly, and he groans. “you totally suck.” you take a sip of your glass and he looks at you. “poor girl seems desperate.”
“desperate for what?” he inquires, frowning.
“oh come on, reid. and you call yourself a profiler? it’s obvious she likes you. she was trying to flirt with you.” you obviously state. “she was trying so hard and you were not catching on…” you laugh, and he sighs.
“you know ogling on other’s business is rude, right?” he questions you.
“we’re the fbi. we’re on everybody’s business. that’s our job, reid.” you ignore him, taking a look at the photograph lila and him were staring at. “calming, isn’t it?” you say and he looks at the photograph as well, taking it in.
“sometimes, the color blue is associated with loneliness and sadness. it usually happens when you combine it with specific elements, like rain.” he spits and you chuckle.
“i know that, genius. the thing is not how it’s supposed to make you feel, it’s how it really makes you feel.” he looks at you as you sip from your cup. “with lila, you might feel good, ‘cause you enjoy her company, with me on the other side, you might not even want to be here, staring at a photograph that you’ve probably seen before. that’s because you focus on everything too much. you need to see what the picture actually tells you, not focus on the person you’re staring at it with.”
spencer’s hazel eyes go back to the picture, trying to focus on it, not on your presence, or the amount of voices that surrounded him.
the exhibited photograph shows an empty gas station, lights of green engulfing it as the nightlight blue sky surrounds it. it takes spencer back to his childhood. to those days in which even if he loved his mother, he couldn’t spend another minute by her side and left his house late in the afternoon for a walk. it helped him get out of his head. he remembers watching the sun go down as the night took over the sky, studying and calling out the constellations above his head, trying to find a solution to his mother’s illness. the stars never worked, and he was always left…
“it makes me feel alone.”
-
“you know, we really can get ourselves to the airport.” gideon said, reid and you trailing behind him as the police officer guided you to his car.
“i didn’t invite the fbi here to let them make their own way around town.” he says, never minding gideon.
“we really appreciate it.” reid says and you whistle.
“so you have manners, huh?” to what he groans.
“oh, shut up.”
“hey, i can’t thank you guys enough for conducting the seminar.” kim smiles.
“well, don’t hesitate to call if there’s anything we can help with.” gideon offered, putting his bags on the trunk of the car.
you stretched your arms after having pushed in your own. “can’t wait for that free weekend.” you muster happily, to what spencer frowns.
“free weekend? what are you talking about?”
“a special thanks from hotch for coming all the way here and putting up with you.” his mouth falls open at your words.
“i didn’t get any free time and i had to put up with you!”
“that let’s you know who’s the problem in this equation.” you falsely smiled at him, patting her shoulder, and you relished on the way his jaw tightened.
your conversation ends as the three of you watch officer kim end a phone call with a not very enthusiastic ‘great’.
“everything alright?” jason asks.
“double murder at hollywood bungalow.” he informs. “a celebrity. a young movie star, natalie ryan, and her fiancé shot to death.”
“very romantic.” you mutter.
“it’s gonna be a major pain in the ass. hey, you guys care to take a quick look before i drive you to the airport? it’s on the way.” he asks, and gideon accepts the offer.
“absolutely.”
you sigh as you get on the back of the car along with spencer.
“seems like that weekend is gonna have to wait.” he happily and teasingly smiles and you send daggers in his direction.
“i’ll choke you with my bare hands.”
“did you get that kink by exposure or trauma?” your mouth falls and your eyes widen.
“what?” you almost yell, watching him ponder.
“maybe it’s because you like to have power and control. have you talked about this with a therapist?”
“you’re gonna have to see a therapist after the torture i’m gonna put you through if you don’t stop that fucking nonsense.” you warn him, and he raises his hands.
“i’m just saying, there’s nothing bad about seeking mental help-”
“spencer!”
-
“no sign of forced entry.” reid points out as the four of you enter the murder scene.
“same weapon.” gideon informs watching at the two bodies.
you stare at the female, getting closer. “the girl was shot execution style, once in the head. the male three times in the torso.”
“so you have two different MOs.” jason wonders before going back to officer kim, talking about the case. you crouch down to take a better look at the man’s corpse.
“what? you found anything?” spencer inquired from behind you, to what you shook your head.
“nah. just fantasizing.” he frowns.
“fantasizing. what the- what would you possibly be fantasizing about in a murder scene?”
“oh you know… you… in that position… you know? it’s really sexy, you should try it. here don’t move let me get my gun.” you offer while getting up, and he just rolls his eyes, leaving you behind.
“what do you think?” gideon asks the officer about the case, wanting his insight.
“i’ve had a couple other cases recently, past few months. same type of weapon, 22 caliber handgun, both shot in the head.” you look at the bodies. “the first was an established film producer, wally melman, and the second was chloe harris, another young actress. though not as well-known as natalie here.”
“any forensic evidence?” reid asks as you step away from them, taking in your surroundings.
“no, and the guys have been going through this place all morning and haven’t come up with anything.”
“so he clearly knows how to cover his tracks.”
“or hers.” you mutter to yourself.
“twenty-two’s are small but efficient. they bounce around inside a person like a pinball.” jason said.
“preferred weapon of the mafia.” spencer added. “you know, there’s no obvious sexual component to these crimes, which is usually the case with serial murders.”
“so you’re thinking this is a serial killer?” kim asks.
“well, it’s certainly a series of murders. we don’t know enough yet to call them serial.” you step into the conversation.
“would you consider hanging out in LA a little while? let me lean on your expertise until we do figure out what we’ve got?” the officer inquires and gideon nods.
“yeah, just cancel the flights. we’ll have the rest of pit team out here ASAP.”
-
the unsub seemed to follow his victims, since he knew their schedules. there was not a single witness, he knows how to blend in and hide in plain sight. he’s meticulous.
and everybody is watching.
just like everybody was watching spencer and lila.
after finding out that the unsub was actually stalking the blonde, and killing people to help her with her career, she had somehow scurried her way under spencer’s protection. it actually bothered you. ‘cause spencer seemed so distracted. and it was totally unprofessional to get involved with a target being their agent.
you were on her studio, studying everyone surrounding her. but it was one person that caught your attention.
“who’s that?” you question prentiss.
“that’s maggie, maggie lowe. for what i know she just works here.” she answers you. “why?”
“they seem pretty close, don’t you think?” you ponder, watching her physical language. “she also seems nervous, she avoids lila’s eyes.”
“maybe she’s just shy.” she shrugs, but knows what you’re pointing out.
“maybe…” then, jj appears.
“what are you guys talking about?”
“lila and possible unsubs.” emily fills her in, accepting the coffee she offers her, you take the one she handles you too with a thanks.
“talking about lila… look who’s approaching her.” she devilishly smiles. you almost groan at the sight of spencer talking to the blonde. “they seem to have hit it off.”
“ugh don’t start. he’s so focused on her when in reality he should be focused on his job…” you sip at your coffee, not realizing the shared look the other two girls send each other. “so unprofessional.” you shake your head.
“are you really mad because he’s distracted from his job or by the fact that a pretty girl is distracting him?” jj asked you, taking in your frown and confused expression.
“what?”
“oh come on, really? do you really not feel it?” emily pushes in too, and you look at them.
“feel what? i-i don’t understand.”
“there’s this weird tension in between the two of you.” the brunette explains, being backed up by the blonde.
“it’s like when two little kids like each other and they don’t know how to show it so they just mess with each other.” you scoff.
“you’re saying that spencer and i are attracted to each other?” you inquired them both and they looked at the other. “come on guys, have you seen him? have you actually worked with him? he’s a fucking narcissist, he makes my life impossible just because i’m as smart as him. i don’t like him. at all. i can’t even stand him!” you rant. “he does this thing when he’s focused, playing with his hands and pencils, it’s so distracting. and when i state a fact, he just has to find something to actually make it wrong. every single time. and let’s not talk about how fucking childish he is, if you guys had been here for the training program, i swear to god he said this stupid things about kinks and me having trauma, oh my god i wanted to fucking kill him. he diminishes me, and thinks he’s better than me. and it just makes me sick…” you take a deep breath when you notice how much you had actually talked and your friends’ looks. “what i mean to say is, no. i don’t like spencer reid. and if he wants to fuck his job up, i’d be more than happy.”
morgan suddenly appeared, hotch right behind him.
“guys. there’s something you have to know…” the first talked.
“michael ryer’s dead.” the second finished.
“oh shit.” emily cursed.
“does lila know?” jj asked.
they shook their head.
“she’s gonna be devastated.” jj said to what you sipped at your coffee.
“well at least she has spencer, right?”
“oh, yeah. can we talk about that real quick?!” morgan inquired, astonished.
“no, morgan!” the girls stop him and he raised his hands.
“okay… but the kid has game.”
-
“woah. i like your house.” spencer said as you two entered lila’s house.
how had you managed to end up with the two of them alone, you didn’t know, and you didn’t like.
“i rent it.” the girl smiled.
“nice.” he nodded.
“lila, you should probably change all your phone numbers.” you said, messaging your team, they’d found something concerning nude photos of the young artist.
“i’m unlisted.”
“anytime you call an 800 or an 888 number your phone number’s put into a data bank that’s then sold to telemarketers. if someone gets your phone number they can go online and research all your records.” you actually responded.
“woah, are you a genius like spencer too?” spencer.
“no. i’m actually smarter.” you gave her a small smile, making her chuckle.
“uh… you should probably carry a piece of paper and pen with you wherever you go in case you see any suspicious license plates that often reappear.” spencer tries to change the conversation as you two followed the blonde towards her kitchen. “and a security dog too.”
“allergic.” she simply answered. “do you guys want some tea?”
you shrugged. “yeah, sure. thanks.” spencer nodded as well. it was already getting late, the sun leaving the city’s sky.
“i’m gonna go change while the water boils, make yourselves comfortable.” she said while making her way upstairs.
you went back towards the salon, your eyes wandering towards a collage on lila’s wall. spencer got your left side, his white stripped button up shirt’s sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
“feel anything yet?” you asked him.
“there is something definitely appealing about this one.” he said and you nodded.
“like lila?”
he looked at you, his mouth falling open to say something, but just as the words were to fall from his lips, the blonde returned in a a more comfortable outfit, making her way towards the patio of her house, beside the pool.
“what are you doing?” spencer inquired her.
“i just need some air. the tea is on the kitchen.” she responded.
“what? no, lila…” your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you watched him go after her.
you could hear them talk and spencer beg her to come inside since there was a psychotic killer aiming at her. you made your way back to the kitchen just as fast as you saw the blonde lean into him, one of her hands tugging at his tie to pull him down. great.
your hands took the cup of steaming tea that lila had prepared you, your eyes on spencer’s as you took a sip. but the warm liquid was poured all over the floor of the kitchen, your head spinning at the blunt trauma that stroke you. your hands went to the side of your forehead as you fell, taking in the sight of your blood. you groaned as someone took you from your hair, pulling you and dragging you across the floor, your hands getting cuts from the smashed cup of tea.
“come here.” the unsub said, taking away your gun, and… you knew that voice. your eyes met the blonde’s.
“maggie lowe?” you muttered to yourself. so you were right. she was the killer and stalker.
you got dragged all the way to the salon, where you could see lila and spencer kissing from the distance. but the kiss quickly broke when maggie fired a shot up into the ceiling, capturing their attentions. spencer quickly pulled out his weapon, pointing at maggie, whose gun’s barbell was right against your head.
“maggie?” lila inquired as they slowly made their way towards you two.
“why’d you have to bring these people here?” she asked lila. “put down the gun.” she ordered spencer, clocking the weapon that kissed your skin. he quickly lowered it, calling out for the killer. “don’t call me maggie! you don’t know me!” “come on lila, let’s go. we gotta go baby, let’s go.” she ordered the actress in a soft yet hurt voice.
“maggie don’t hurt her, you don’t need to hurt her.” you didn’t know if he was talking about lila or you. or maybe both.
“you don’t know anything. i would never do anything to hurt lila. i created her.”
“no, you didn’t.” lila said.
“yes, i did!” you closed your eyes when the barbell dug harsher against your temple. “i did everything for you! and you betray me by bringing these people here… to our house!!!”
“so ungrateful…” you say, loud enough for maggie to hear you. “look at you… you gave her everything and you saw what she did to you… she kissed him. she told him she loved him.” you lied, looking at spencer. he caught on.
“what?” maggie incredulously said.
“i heard them. i saw them kissing each other like animals!” you yelled. “he abandoned me… and now i’m here. about to be killed because of him!” you spat, meeting maggie’s eyes. “you don’t have to hurt me. they don’t deserve us. i’m on your side maggie… i know how you feel. i know how it feels to be betrayed like this…” you nodded, seeing her eyes change. “give me my gun… i’ll kill him for you. and then you can have lila back. i’ll let the two of you go.” you promised, slowly rising up to your feet, extending your hand.
and just as she pointed her gun down, you tackled her, taking the weapons from her and throwing them aside as she fought against your hold.
“reid!” you called out for your work mate, who quickly came to you and handcuffed maggie, who just started crying and begging for you to kill her.
“i gave her everything…”
you looked at spencer, wiping off the blood from your eyes.
“and that’s why we need to stay professional.”
-
“are you okay, pretty girl?” morgan came to you as the paramedics wiped clean your wound.
“yeah, they say i have a light concussion. a couple of stitches and i’ll be alright.” you gave him a small smile.
“what happened in there, huh? we only got what the paparazzi had on camera, which is…” you nodded.
“yeah. well, maggie got into the house with lila’s spare keys, and basically almost killed me. it was good luck that spencer kissed lila, or else i don’t know what i would’ve done.” the rest of the team had gathered around you.
“you did good. spencer told me how you got into her head.” gideon said.
“thanks.” you responded.
“make sure you’re on the clear before getting up. we’ll be right back, gotta fill in the other officers.” hotch informed you, to what you nodded.
they all left except spencer, who silently looked at you.
“i’m sorry.” spencer said, looking at his feet. “this shouldn’t have happened, if i hadn’t…”
“… played barbie?” you finished off for him, catching his attention. “look spencer. i don’t really care about it. it’s your life and you make your own decisions, just… make sure to not put any of us in danger while doing it. even lila. one of us three could have died tonight.” he nodded. you reached on your back pockets, pulling out the films of the paparazzi’s camera. “i guess this is yours.” he called out for you once again, probably to apologize one more time, but you were still pretty shaken up and you were still pretty mad at him. “would you mind? my head is killing me.” you asked of him and he nodded, silently turning around and walking its way towards morgan and emily. your mind went back to her words the moment the needle punctured your skin. oh ‘come on, really? do you really not feel it?’ ‘there’s this weird tension in between the two of you.’. and then back to jj’s. ‘it’s like when two little kids like each other and they don’t know how to show it so they just mess with each other’. you couldn’t help but chuckle.
you liking spencer? no way.
if there was anything you felt for spencer reid that was hate.

Dw hahahaha I'm still alive just dying over ( why did I chose to study a PHD 😭 ) But im on a break from school so except so a lot more brainrot from me lmao, also sorry if this is jumbly kinda just put my words out there hahaha
I know we always talk about fragile reader during the illness but what about after? Fragile reader was plauged with this illness for hundreds of years so they deffinently adapted. Like typically when walking then would shuffle their feet a lot cause it took less energy so sometime they shuffle their feet and don't even realize. They didnt have the ability to do tasks such a pouring liquids into cups so whenever they're about to pour themselves a glass of water then to do collect themselves because what if their illness comes back? What if there dreaming and they'll suddenly drop everything. All of Zandik's work is reverted. So often times segments will just find reader staring intensely at a simple task. And of course they'll go comfort reader. Whilst they wish they could do it they know how much reader wants their autonomy back after such a restrictive few centuries.
But let not ignore the segments and Prime cause they've picked up a few habits also. They've gotten used to treating reader as fragile as glass so whenever they fall or trip post illness they freak out. It would require some comfort from reader to bring them back to earth and remember that reader is no longer ill. But you KNOW that they're pulling out every healing treatment they've got. They're all evil and sadistic doctors but for you they'll be good. <4
But regarding Zandik himself... Well he was so excited to finally have cured his lover that he completely forgot about the effects you'd suffer after. So when a few segments report of you not being completely free of your curse he's immediately trying to figure out how he can help you. He decides that the best thing to do is to be there for you. It typically is unusual to see the Doctor away from his work but now it's the norm for Il Doctors to be with his lover.
- Jellofish Anon
After being sick for so long, one would think you'd be ecstatic to finally be cured, to be free of the illness that plagued your body and life so much. And well, they were right, but the happiness still came with its anxieties. Change was never an easy thing, even when it was the good type. After dealing with this for so many years, you were bound to still be nervous about doing certain things. To not have the confidence in yourself to carry out the task. You worry that you'll mess up or fail and waste your time trying to do so and just end up making more of a problem for yourself and others. Even though you know that's illogical now, it's hard to get out of a mindset you've been stuck with for so long. Of course, your inner conflict doesn't go unnoticed by your lovers, and each segment would provide their own kind of comfort based on who they are, whether gruffly or soothingly, to give you the courage to take back your life.
You can't exactly blame Dottore and the segments for being overbearing, after all, they've witnessed your weak state for numerous centuries, and they've seen you hit your lowest many times too. They can't help but worry about their darling too. It's endearing at first but you have to hold them and help them realize that was the past you, the new you is someone different thanks to them. You can be strong and safe and independent without them now, even if it sort of makes them crazy knowing the situations you put yourself in now. Still, they observe you very much even when you least expect it.
Of course, the cure is not without its drawbacks - you still have to deal with the lingering effects of your illness sometimes. Which definitely aren't as bad as before, but they still serve to remind you of your old life. But you know that regardless of what the future may bring, you'll always have Dottore by your side to ease whatever pains you have.
(Dottore post-illness would be such a cutie. It's such a rewarding feeling, to see the one he loves no longer burdened and free to pursue what they want just like he does. He would sit and listen to all the stories you have for him each day, all the exciting things you can do now, the days of pain in the past. Of course, the segments would be extremely excited to finally have a worthy assistant - you - but there's only one of you after all. Unfortunately, they have to share, and bear the painful curse of having you to themselves once nearly every two weeks.)
(I've been planning to make this a full fic for like a year...)

mutant file (logan howlett x fem!oc)
Tumblr media
name: michaela isabella fiore
alias: natura
day of birth: june 22nd, 1968 (32 in X Men 1)
height: 5'6
category: mutant (alpha level)
abilities: chlorokinesis, toxikinesis, toxic immunity, genius
residence: xavier school for gifted youngsters
occupation: doctor and biology teacher
affliction: x-men (since 1990)
state: alive
Tumblr media
history
"early life"
Michaela Isabella Fiore, born on 22 June 1968, daughter of Paul and Francesca Fiore in the borough of Brooklyn, New York. Both are children of first-generation Italian immigrants to the United States. Working class, they ran a flower shop in North Brooklyn. Currently retired.
The first mutant gene samples are demonstrated in a biology class during primary school. According to the teacher's reports, during an experiment where students were asked to grow a bean in a beaker, Fiore's plant grew "abnormally". Other school reports state that, during high school, girls who were picking on Michaela reported to the teacher that Fiore had planted manure in her lockers. It was never proven.
Michaela continued her studies and was awarded one of the Xavier Scholarships for Gifted and Talented Youth at New York University, where she graduated with a major in Botanical Biology and Toxicology and a minor in Genetics, where she met Sara Kinney. She later obtained her PhD at Oxford, with a thesis on assisted mutation in various plants for medical purposes.
"xavier school for gifted youngsters and X Men"
Since her doctorate at Oxford in 1990, Michaela Fiore has been a registered biology teacher at Xavier School for gifted youngsters. She is also a member of the X Men team, along with Scott Summer alias Cyclops, Jean Grey alias Marvel Girl, Ororo Munroe alias Storm, Kurt Wagner alias Nightclawer and Hank McCoy alias Beast.
However, Fiore's work is more oriented towards laboratory work and the development of new ways to treat the injured mutants who come to the school.
Some field missions are recorded. Despite little hand-to-hand training, Fiore's skills allow her to get the upper hand in a ranged fight.
During the 2000s, the X Men had several clashes with the notorious ex-terrorist Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. As well as battles against the government against the Mutant Registration Act and the "Mutation Cure". Both Dr. Fiore and Dr. Grey advocated against both of these in Congress.
During this time, new members join the X-Men: Remy LeBeau aka Gambit, Anna Marie aka Rogue, Piotr "Peter" Nikolaievitch Rasputin aka Colossus, Robert Louis "Bobby" Drake aka Ice-Man, Katherine Anne "Kitty" Pryde aka Shadowcat and Logan Howlett aka Wolverine.
...
2006➜ ERROR, FILE NOT FOUND
ONE SHOTS SET AFTER DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Currently, the X Men grouping is still unleashed by Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Ororo Munroe aka Storm and Logan Howlett aka Wolverine. Michaela Fiore does not take part in the field missions and shares the position of deputy director with Dr. Jean Grey.
The Sentinel menace was stopped in 1973 by a mutant named Mystique, who saved the president from Magneto.
currently, 2024 (nobody's dead, we're all happy and forgetting the timeline, FUCK TVA)
The school remains the same as it has been all these years, but the threats don't stop. Recently, records came in about a trafficking of mutant children being experimented on by an illegal organisation on the Mexican border.
The X Men are working on it at the moment.
character analysis
Michaela is a kind and optimistic person. Over the years she has gained more experience and control over her powers, which makes her a confident person. At first she was reluctant to be introduced to the X-Men, but her colleagues convinced her.
She spends much of her time in the underground lab at X-Mansion, alongside Jean Grey and, on occasion, Hank McCoy.
Her first encounter with Logan, aka Wolverine, was not a pleasant one. The mutant awoke from his coma (induced by the Professor) altered and confused, so he attacked Michaela and scarred her back with his claws. Michaela, in response, put him to sleep with chloroform, until the Professor arrived.
The two slowly, slowly worked out their differences.
For their personalities clash quite a lot. Logan is a lone wolf, while Michaela is all about teamwork. But according to Cyclops, they're both equally annoying.
Despite appearances, constant bickering and "mutual hatred", there is a pact of respect between the two. They will never say it to each other's faces, but they are very fond of each other. (Everybody knows it, except them).
now some headcannons
The X Men affectionately refer to Michaela as Mickey or Dr. Mickey.
Logan refers to her as "kid".
Mickey refers to him as "old dog".
Mickey wears a necklace with a St. James medal, a legacy from her paternal grandfather Jimmy Fiore.
Mickey doesn't know that Logan's real name is James.
The children shipped their biology teacher and the history teacher (i.e. them).
Michaela was upset after Logan's departure after fighting Magneto.
And when he left again.
And again.
He has commitment issues (no shit).
Apparently he always fixes it when he comes back.
The X Men always party when he comes back, they go to a bar a few miles from the school.
Our girl can't stand alcohol (she's given Logan endless lectures on the problems of alcohol), but on these occasions she has a margarita or two.
Bad idea.
She's a lightweight.
Very funny until she throws up.
Logan always ends up looking after her.
But not without laughing the next morning, delivering her own sermons against her.
Again, children SHIP them.
Bobby tried to lock them in a classroom. It was fun until Logan chased him all over the mansion.
Logan offers to teach Michaela how to fight.
She has improved a lot.
He always ends up in a cold shower.
Sometimes they are found in the kitchen at night, or in the greenhouse or laboratory.
Logan suffers from chronic nightmares, about his past, about Weapon X, PTSD...
Michaela is only used to little or no sleep. She lives in a mansion with hundreds of children, there must always be someone awake.
They do not normally speak at these meetings.
The next morning it's back to normal.
Michaela lives in coffee.
Logan hates coffee.
Logan always makes Michaela coffee.
They will end up together. For sure. But there are bets hanging around.
Even Magneto, in his plastic prison, asks the Professor for updates.
"Any news on...?" "Not that I know of." "For God's sake, Charles! You're a mind reader!"
ONE SHOTS

JACKFORD MOMENTS I THINK ABOUT
JackFord is just @dcrkcrama/@sonxflight/@plxsmius and myself just goofing around over the past six years. Art is done by Dari [@dcrkcrama] whom you should also follow to see how gay this all gets.
Tumblr media
Jack and Ford are timestuck/portalstuck buddies. But in the Samurai Falls AU, Ryou [aka Jack] is a humble doctor who might be a reincarnated hero of light. He meets Ford in college and the two have a nerdy romance for the ages.
They get married in the late 70s. A few years later, Ford still builds the portal and is lost for thirty years-- resulting in his brother, Stanley, having to pose as Ryou's husband for the next thirty years while they work on trying to fix the portal.
Tumblr media
In Stanford's Samurai Jack AU-- he's fallen into a dimension of breathtaking views-- plagued by a dark master. Ford joins up with the rebels, seeing a lot of Bill in this 'Aku' fella. He crosses paths with a samurai named Jack-- a man out of time.
Tumblr media
Ford speaks to him in his native tongue-- a dead language thought lost to time. The two grow close and Ford learns that Jack is just what everyone else calls him. His name is Ryou. He was brilliant and didn't seem to mind Stanford's clumsy accent. Love blooms and Ford remains at Jack's side as long as he can.
Tumblr media
PHANTOM FALLS is another AU/crossover which slaps Samurai Falls with Danny Phantom. Vlad, Ford, and Jack [Ryou] are a throuple. Godfathers to Maddie and Jack [Fenton]'s kids. In this AU a few neat things happen:
Stan and Ford make up earlier on. Ford met Jack [Ryou], Vlad, Maddie, and Jack [Fenton] in college. Ryou and Ford were roommates-- and eventually combined their dorm with the one next door-- Jack [Fenton] and Vlad.
The boys loved playing DD&MD together. They take turns being DMs. Jack [Fenton] does his best but often does his best but forgets the rules.
Ford helps the College Trio with their Paranormal studies, since he's an upperclassman by comparison. He's considered some sort of prodigy.
After Vlad's accident, Ford is forced to ask Stan for help breaking into the hospital Vlad's in. It's crawling with government agents. Stan helps and the brothers are forced to make up and apologize to each other.
Ford still eventually goes to Oregon to do [another] PhD assignment. But he briefly lives in Amity Park after college. His husband, Jack [Ryou] is a doctor in town. Vlad is an upstanding citizen [and ghostly crime boss] while the Fentons are legendary for their ghost hunting abilities.

I had this idea ages ago for a Professor Layton sequel/spin-off centred around Luke called
Doctor Triton
Set about ten years after Lost Future.
Luke is back from America, studying zoology at Gressenheller and is completing his PhD.
Layton is semi-retired. He still lectures but has decided to leave most of the mystery-solving behind so he can (finally) focus on his students.
Luke now solves mysteries with Flora in his spare time.
Flora is always calling Luke Dr Triton, to impress their clients, and tease Luke, and Luke always tries to correct her that he’s not a doctor yet but he just gets flustered and embarrassed.
Katrielle exists in this universe, but she’s not related to anyone. She’s a massive Professor Layton fan and believes she is a better ‘heir’ to the Layton legacy than Luke.
As a result, Katrielle forms a one-sided rivalry with Luke.
She’s always popping up when they least expect her, like Chloe in Touch Detective.
Emiliana replaces Chelmey as the Scotland Yard representative. Hastings is her Barton, though he outranks her since she is a newer member of the force.
Emmy reappears, perhaps with a mystery for Luke to solve.
Clive is out on parole (I realise due to his crimes he probably wouldn't be but let's pretend ok), but he’s unable to find work after the whole trying to destroy London thing. So, he turns to Luke and Flora to ask if they’ll give him a job at their mystery-solving office thing or whatever. Luke accepts since a true gentleman always forgives others.
Clive will have his colour scheme be mainly green since blue (Luke), orange/red (Layton, pink/red (Flora) and yellow (Emmy) are already taken and purple won’t suit him (though maybe it could…).
Flora has learnt fencing from Layton.
Flora is feisty and tough, but still has her cuteness and sweetness.
Luke is more mature and he tries to act like Layton would, but is still a bit of an idiot. He tries to avoid going to Layton for help if only because he wants to prove himself
Clive is the one who balances the group and is usually the one who stops arguments between the two.
Alternative idea:
Layton has taught Flora his mystery solving skills and decided to retire from mystery solving.
Flora, unfortunately, ends up with a case she is stuck on.
Luckily, Luke is back to complete his doctorate in zoology at Gressenheller and Flora forces him to help. It turns out that Luke’s ability to talk to animals comes in handy and they make a breakthrough.
Luke ends up becoming an ‘animal detective’: his clients are animals who lead him to mysteries that need solving.

Round 1: Greggor Handson vs Mercurial
Tumblr media
Image ID included, click to see the full image please!
(Only an image of Mercurial was submitted for this poll)
More about each NPC below the cut!
Character 1
Name: Greggor Handson Party: The Bomb Squad Relationship to party: "Healer"
What makes them the best NPC: Every party need a healer. If you don’t have one, you need one. And if you are on a budget, Greggor Handson can be yours! Greggor was exiled from polite society and lives in an abandoned castle, but his rates are low low low and his survival rates are high high high! Better yet, he wont ask you any questions! Are your burn marks related to the explosion at the Duke’s palace? Does your description match a group wanted by the law? Greggor doesn’t care! Greggor just wants the opportunity to work on your body and maaaybe make an improvement here or there. Don’t worry! All new eyes have dark vision and the risk of infection is minimal.
Greggor prides himself not only in the quality of his work, but also his service. His appearance IS off putting, there is absolutely NO getting around it. But be assured all alterations to his body were made by Greggor himself. That he is somehow still alive is a testament to his abilities. Could a “sane” but only moderately talented healer make such radical modifications and survive? No! As Greggor himself would say, when given the choice between sanity and ability, “thanity is grothely overethtimated, theheheh”. His contagious enthusiasm for his work and frank bedside manner is what sets him apart. As Greggor would say, “I gif mythelf four thumbth up! Any more ith medically unnethethary – and I thould know! I’m a doctor.”
Quote: "You were more than my paithenth, you were my friendth," Greggor's last words.

Character 2
Name: Mercurial Party: The Fosters Relationship to party: Friend, ally, strategist, arcane scientist
What makes them the best NPC: Mercurial is a drow divination wizard who loves his girlfriend and studying magic very much. He’s so incredibly anxious and semi-unintentionally goofy at all times, but he ultimately has a steel will and the determination to back it. His girlfriend and he helped lead a drow rebellion against the high elven monarchists, and they’re both currently elbows-deep in helping to set up a more equitable but still stable government to replace the emperor. He’s a skilled diviner and she’s an incredible tactician, so they’re incredible strategists.
He is both so incredibly cool and just some guy. He'll do just about anything you ask. Once, a PC told him to go get "as many lemons as [he could]" and he brought back hundreds. Every time we drop in on him, he ends up nervously making like, French toast or bruschetta or something. He’s also an incredibly competent wizard who is going for his arcane PhD. He got into biochemistry when one of our PCs (an old friend of his and his girlfriend’s) asked him to do some blood analyses. When he realized one of the party NPCs's blood would confirm a hypothesis he had but she wouldn’t give it to him, he (for the first time) used his unassuming and nervous demeanor to trick her into letting her guard down enough that he could stab, grab, and run like hell away with the blood. He talks like Eeyore. I love him so much.
Quote: "Wait, don't tell her, I don't want her to be more mad at me than she already is..." -Mercurial, after tricking the party NPC.

Adam Watson, the Scottish biologist, ecologist and mountaineer was born on April 14th 1930 in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
From an early age, Watson showed considerable academic prowess. He was Dux of Turriff Primary School and of Turriff Senior Secondary School in Latin, English, Higher Latin, English, French, Science, lower History and Mathematics.
His education continued at the University of Aberdeen in the 1950s, gaining a first class honours in zoology and also the department of natural history's MacGillivray Prize. He gained his PhD in 1956 for his thesis on the Annual Cycle of Rock Ptarmigan, and a second doctorate in 1967 for scientific papers on populations and behaviour of northern animals.
The scientist studied and wrote extensively about plants and animal life in the Cairngorms. RSPB Scotland described Dr Watson, who research included studies of various upland birds, as "arguably the most knowledgeable Scottish naturalist and ornithologist of the last century".
Dr Watson was a well-known figure in Scotland's climbing and hillwalking community. He climbed extensively in the Cairngorms and in Scotland's other mountain ranges. He also climbed and skied abroad, including in Norway, Lapland, Canada and Alaska.
A John Muir Trust Lifetime Achievement Award was among other honours given to Dr Watson. The man dubbed Mr Cairngorms also received the Fort William Mountain Festival's Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture.
Watson’s research centred on grouse, his magnum opus on the subject, co-written with Robert Moss called Grouse, was a runaway bestseller.
A dam, a natural communicator in speech or the written word also appeared extensively on TV and radio in Scotland, his first broadcast was back in 1948 – Dr Watson’s enthusiasm for the sciences was never less than infectious, and he described his work in simple terms without resorting either to jargon or dumbing down. What made him loved by editors was his ability to read standard situations from a different viewpoint.
Watson’s literary output from the age of 14 runs to an astonishing 475 items including 22 books, hundreds of scientific papers and reviews and 175 unpublished technical reports.
In 1971 he was called to represent the Crown as expert witness at the fatal accident enquiry following the Cairngorm disaster in which six schoolchildren died. His quiet evidence drew not only on law, but on science backed by practical experience of the very worst of mountain weather. He surprised the Forestry Commission when he successfully opposed a particular development not merely on the expected ecological argument, but by astute demolition of the business case.
Doctor Adam Watson died after a short illness on January 23rd 2019, aged 88.
There's a great article taken from his journal that you can read at the link here https://www.ibsc.org.uk/thirty-miles-on-ski-adam-watson-april-1951/#

Hi....
This Spencer Ried guy that i see on your blog a lot... sorry haven't watched criminal minds yet.
Tell me something about that character. Why do you love them so much
… well, Anon, grab a chair and make yourself comfortable!
The first thing I actually liked about Spencer Reid back in the day was the fact that he’s played by Matthew Gray Gubler, so he’s definitely the perfect example of non-toxic masculinity to me.
The character is almost immediately introduced as a genius - by his own admission he’s got an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, can read 20.000 word per minute and has three PhDs (Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering) which is enough to make me go “yes, give me more of this guy, pls”. Later on it is also revealed he holds BAs in Sociology, Psychology and he’s studying to get a third one in Philosophy. Need I say more?!
During the first season he’s only 23, meaning he’s the youngest member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) team and actually looks like a puppy. Spoiler alert: even after 15 seasons he still looks like a puppy to me and I just want to hug him and keep him safe. Why? Because he’s S O F T, caring and loves his mom and friends to pieces. They feel the same about him and he ends up being the godfather of both sons of Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau, his fellow team member; another team member, Derek Morgan (who affectionately addresses Spencer as 'kid') names his firstborn Hank Spencer - after his own dad and Reid, obviously, claiming he’s the best little brother anybody could ever ask for.
So, yeah… Spencer is a total sweetheart and has been through A LOT: his father left when he was very young and his mom sadly suffers from schizophrenia, meaning little Spencer had to care for her and was forced to commit her against her will when he was 18 (what’s truly heartbreaking to me is that she’s fully aware and immensely proud of his abilities: she loves him and when she’s not having a bad day she’s easily his biggest supporter). He’s also shown to be very empathetic towards certain unsubs (the “villains” of each episode, so to speak) especially when it turns out they’ve been victims of violence or abuse, because he himself has been targeted by bullies; in Season 3 he recalls the time his high school mates tricked him into believing the prettiest girl in school wanted to talk to him in private, while in reality the entire football team ambushed him, stripped him naked and tied him to a goalpost (it’s worth mentioning that he was about 12yo when this happened, because being a genius he graduated from high school around that age).
In Season 2 he develops an addiction to Dilaudid, after being kidnapped and tortured by an unsub; the authors of the show have a questionable habit of putting him through hell, just because, and IMHO the only instance when Spencer getting shot actually has a valid purpose is in Season 5 - Gubler dislocated his knee IRL so they needed an explanation for Reid walking around in crutches for a while.
Since I have a feeling this post could go on forever (and we don't have that much time), I’ll just throw in a few more random reasons why I love Spencer Reid: he wears his wristwatch over his sleeve. He’s a Star Wars and Doctor Who fan. He always wear mismatched socks (as MGG, the actor who plays him, does) and is often seen wearing Converse shoes. I’m biased and I know it, but to me he’s easily the best dressed character of the entire show. His apartment is a mood and very dark-academia-ish. He’s socially awkward and displays a lot of behavioral indicators he’s on the spectrum (sadly the authors never confirmed it and it’s one of the many issues I have with the writing on this show, but that’s not the place to talk about it) so I adore his mannerism: he loves to sit on desks/tables, he almost never shakes hand but greets stranger with the cutest hand-waves ever and when he’s excited about something he rambles/talks super fast and sometimes he has an adorable high-pitched squeal (Reid stans definitely knows what I mean).
Hope this answer works for you!!

(Same anon) That's initially what I thought JN would do: Since Gary is a researcher and Ash and Goh were research fellows, a groundwork was in place to not only meetup occasionally, but even a mini travel arc like Arceus. (And Project Mew sounded cool on paper; a band of researchers bearing the elements to go on dangerous missions to learn Pokemon mysteries? But it's very clear even before the conclusion how under-cooked it was for anyone who wasn't Goh unfortunately.)
Hi there anon! I hope you don't mind but since your ask spanned 3 messages long I'll be combining the three posts into this one (with alt text in the image description for the screenshots) Alright now onto the ask...I agree Project Mew sounded really cool on paper. The anime had done pretty well with bringing life to the gyms and especially contests. Knowing the Pokemon research is rather big in the Pokemon world and with numerous rivals and opposite-gender protagonists in game becoming research assistants it was cool to see them bring to life what kids out in the Pokemon world who are interested in research might do on their journeys. But then they kind of mangled it pretty badly and I could go on a whole tangent about how they could've made it better. A big portion of that would've been to have it start earlier and with more interaction between Gary and Goh during a mini-travel arc.
Tumblr media
So here's the thing with Gary needing a professor yet, Gary's still a research assistant (or really research fellow) and not a full fledged professor/researcher. As someone who has worked as a research assistant IRL I have to say there are a lot of parts that the Pokemon world gets right about how real life research works. And one of those is until you get to the point of being a professor (well a PhD or other doctoral degree and in some cases a masters) you're not really allowed to conduct independent research entirely on your own without someone who has those credentials backing you in some way (this goes for academia and industry). In fact a lot of what being a PhD student entails is learning how to conduct independent research with someone supervising and guiding you. Pokemon does a good job with portraying that with Gary doing things but ultimately under the supervision of some Professor. First Oak, then Rowan and now Project Mew. Since Gary isn't a full Professor like Oak is or even a newly minted PhD like we see in Sonia, he can't lead independent research entirely on his own. Sure he can go out and do field research but whether it was under his grandpa, Rowan, or Project Mew he's still reporting to someone higher up, and from what we've seen most of the research he's conducting is someone else's brainchild. Take for instance the Moltres example you brought up. Yeah, he came up with the calculations on his own but part of his studies as a research assistant is to learn how to do exactly that. But in the end, this was all for Project Mew. Going after Moltres wasn't his own idea, but Project Mew's he just had free reign to figure out how to approach the research task. It's the same thing for Goh and Ash with Cerise...they had free reign in how they caught Pokemon for Cerise but again it wasn't their project they came up with they're just helping. Now Sonia as we see with the Darkest Day...now that she's a professor she can create her own independent research (and recruit assistants to help her out). If Project Mew had of been introduced earlier with Gary using it as a way to finally graduate and become a professor like his grandpa that would've been cool to see. But for now he's still learning the ropes so he will need a home base until he's deemed a professor like Sonia now is. I think that would've been a cool thing to see and would've given us more opportunities to see Gary use Ash's ability to attract weird phenomena. Then with him finally being awarded the title of Professor Gary Oak (and who knows maybe it happens in this 11-episode series), it would really free him up to do whatever.
Tumblr media
You bring up some good points here. I will say I'm not sold that Gary could do both just by how he was portrayed in OS. Unlike his game or manga counterparts, he's not nearly as strong of a trainer as they are. He's not weak by any means and he certainly hasn't lost his touch but he never reaches the same accomplishments his manga or game counterparts manage to achieve. Research is very time-consuming and so is Pokemon training. It's really hard to do both at the same time well. We even see this played out in another context with Nando in regards to being a coordinator and trainer at the same time while Wallace being both a champion and master coordinator is implied to have done both at separate points in his life. Sycamore even mentions that it's hard for people actively involved in research to keep up with training for battling.
You bring up Alain who is one of Ash's strongest rivals and also did research...but during the time he was Ash's rival he wasn't actively pursuing research. And that likely plays a huge role in why he got so strong so quickly because his time was freed up. Even Kukui is implied to have been a trainer first long before going into research and putting his time into both, which would explain why he's so proficient in the present day. He's had plenty of time to invest in both passions of his. I'd love to put Gary on the same level as Kukui or Alain but since he never made it to the finals of any league (Pokespe!Blue) or claimed the title of champion by beating the Elite Four (Game!Blue) I can't really put him in the same archetype as them, personally.
Yes, he has beaten Ash after major accomplishments (Orange Islands and Battle Frontier) but those were one-versus-one battles which aren't really good measures of strength past the rookie trainer stage (and this is one of my huge gripes with a lot of the PWC battles). Those were, in my opinion, more checks for Ash to remind him to not get too cocky. Now as to the fandom's reaction to one last Ash vs Gary battle, I agree I'm not sure what the reaction would be. I feel like a win for Gary wouldn't be seen as too bad just because for the most part Gary as a character is well-received, he's been used as a check for Ash's cockiness in the past and I think a lot of people felt he was portrayed weakly in Project Mew and want some redemption. On the other hand, it's kind of hard to make a believable loss for the world champion outside of a one versus one, and the fact that many felt he was portrayed weakly in Project Mew might not go over well.

Hi! I'm at an age where I'm considering grad school. I read your bio and was curious what your PhDs are in and how long they took, and like what to expect from grad school. I appreciate the advice if you answer this!
Hey there! What did you major/minor in when you attended college/university, the reason I say college is because many of my friends I’ve made along the way didn’t attend universities they attended 4 year colleges that had satellite locations but it didn’t limit their ability to get accepted into Med School, Law School, or into grad programs.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry with minors in Physics and Psychology but after I graduated since I graduated a year early due to boing dual enrollment while in high school I took the 8 additional hours needed to bump my physics minor to a major.
I applied for medical school with ten different universities and I was accepted into all but 3, however right before I was set to move to attend my father passed away, my brother had just moved two weeks before to go to an Ivy League school with 4 of his high school graduating classmates so my mom became severely depressed and suicidal. I contacted the two medical schools I was most interested in and they blessedly said that they would let me get pushed to the top of the waiting list and if my family situation changed and their matriculation rate didn’t change (the two schools on average had a 15%-20% drop out rate after the first semester) then I could register and make up for my first missed semester during summer school.
However, my full blooded brother wasn’t an issue, it was our half brothers and sisters and my father’s mother that caused a world of pain for my mom legally. So I took over the role of the trust my father created and used my connections with friends who were children of lawyers to find the best Wills and Trusts attorney but by the time that was all said and done two years had passed. My friend that recommended the lawyer his two older sisters are lawyers and his father and older brother owned used car dealerships and my father was a doctor and also owned a Ford Dealership before his passing, so because I decided to make my moms life as easy for her as possible I finally after a full school year had passed and withdrew from the two medical schools I was in contact with.
I did well between 2002-2011 in the car business and made well enough money that I decided it was finally time to look into higher education again, but I was at a loss as to what. My father was a general surgeon so I wanted to be a cardio thoracic surgeon since my fathers 6th heart attack is what killed him, but he always told me I’d make a better trial lawyer because I was so fact oriented and always broke down arguments with friends, my brother or my mother by giving them irrefutable facts they couldn’t deny. So I decided on a whim even without knowing what kind of lawyer I wanted to be to sit for the LSATs without studying them, and I’ve always been an above average test taker, blame my neurodivergent level 4 diagnosis because my mind can process 10-15 different tasks at one time.
I applied to 6 law schools and was accepted to all of them but decided to attended a specific law school because I was born in a small Texas country town, surrounded by white people, I am biracial (Caucasian/Hispanic) but I had attended a university UT Austin that was diverse but I was still a majority. So I took my acceptance for law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, allowing me to be close to my brother, and more importantly educate myself and became cultural diversity immersed at the same time as I was at a school that had a 80% African American populous and I was part of the 11% minority.
During my time while I was running my dealerships I had made a few trips out to California and became involved in the medicinal cannabis industry, not the smoking getting high interest but the way that the state persecuted elderly patients for owning licenses to grow their own medications and how hospitals were denying cannabis users aid for diseases as severe as cancer when the state deemed it legal and even their state funded CalMed program, which was created in the past for low income patients, was issuing calmed funding to these patients to purchase their medical cannabis. That’s when I started looking into the Ethics of Genetically Modified cannabis and if the states legally held them to higher standards it’s what became my first PhD - Ethical Genetics, then Genetics (primarily focused on DNA Analysis, and Organic Genetic Modifications.
Come my second semester of law school however I began to freak out because I had no clue as to what kind of law I wanted to practice. It was my criminal law/criminal procedure professor who said that my extensive science background would make me a great candidate for a Copyright, Trademark, Patent Attorney and that Patent Agents alone without a law degree on average make $120k a year because of the shortage of agents, where Patent lawyers to this day have an even worse shortage, with roughly 3800 lawyers in the US being licensed as patent agents.
Then it clicked for me, I had been a professional gamer since I was 17, sponsored by Ubisoft and then their FragDolls division, then sponsored by EA and Epic as well, but I found my passion was split equally between protecting alternative medicine patients rights and their access to healthy medication and being a Patent Attorney that was also licensed internationally because some of my friends at the start of 2010 began having a hard time proving their intellectual property they created for animations and writing scripts, books were there’s as the companies whom hired them said that because they were provided paychecks they lost the rights to works they created on their own. So I sat down with my first sponsor and then with my Criminal Law as well as my Property Law professor because he was the dean and was always insightful, and I wasn’t expecting all three of them to agree that I follow both of my passions because I could become a Civil Law Attorney, protecting people and not only patients people like my friends whom were having intellectual property issues which fell into both civil law and copy, trademark and patent law.
Once I graduated I immediately moved to California, passed the bar and then I met with numerous classmates from my graduating section (they section you into 3 to 4 sections at the beginning of law school and you’re required courses are taken with that designated section) I asked them what kind of law they were practicing and if they were having issues getting work and most of them were living on being Bar Prep Tutors because they couldn’t find work that didn’t take anyone that had less than 3-5 years of experience. I pitched my idea of starting my own law firm that didn’t revolve on whether employees hit their “billable hours” quota to keep their job and they asked me how in the living “fucking” hell I would fund it right from the start.
I told them that the first call that I got to do legal work was with a very well known criminal and civil lawyer who represented medicinal cannabis patients in San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange County and that the police brutality, the district attorneys and judges in Southern California were not abiding by state law, and so due to that we had amassed a class action lawsuit against the City of San Diego, City of Anaheim, City of Orange County, City of Los Angeles as well as the City of Sacramento and that our class action class included just over 225,000 affected patients, none of which ever had criminal background, with average age range between 50-85 so they were older and even elderly, and they were victim of raids, destruction of property some so bad that it made their homes unlivable, and that the class action lawsuit had made waves in the news and into the ears of the States Attorneys Office, once she met with myself and the lawyer sharing it all with me, she was appalled, because she had been taking these city counsels and other city representative officials words that these increased raids, searches, seizures and jail time charges were in fact legitimate. However once she saw the amount of evidence we had amassed and the number of affected individuals that felt comfortable joining (so many were so distraught and felt so victimized they began showing signs of PTSD because numerous raids conducted forced the victims into handcuffs or zipties and all the while during the raid they had assault rifles aimed at their heads - thankfully well over half of our clients had security systems with video cameras that offered clear visible shots of what was going on and included audio.) while on our trip to Northern California to meet with the State Attorneys office they actually raided my home, I lived in Chula Vista which is a city on its own with its own mayor so it’s illegal for San Diego police to even enter into another city’s jurisdiction when they have their own police force, so the City of San Diego promoted the entirety of the San Diego Harbor Patrol (harbor patrols jurisdiction is only the waterways of San Diego) to San Diego SWAT. My girlfriend at the time who is a narcotics anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor and licensed therapist our roommate who is a and even at that time was a Registered Nurse were the only ones home. They used a battering ram on our front door as well as the glass sliding door, they kicked all 4 bedroom doors off their hinges and ripped the garage door off it’s tracks and left it on the ground. I got a frantic text while meeting with the states attorney and called back on speaker, our roommate was the one to talk to me because my gf was distraught. They were threatening my roommate Jessica and my gf Kelly to open my safe when they didn’t I replied to them that they had no authority to be in my home. They did they were sworn in San Diego SWAT and they had jurisdiction, in which I calmly stated to them again, you don’t, I live in Chula Vista which is not within your jurisdiction and my gf text me before this call saying that some of your patrol cars say San Diego Harbor Police and I’m accessing my security system that covers my home 360 degrees and you do in fact have X number of police vehicles that say San Diego Harbor Police, but the other reason that you have no authority or right to be in my home is because you have yet to produce to either one of my housemates a search warrant and what is detailed in said warrant so no they will not give you access to my safe that literally only contains family photo albums, and my fathers trinkets and heirlooms of his I keep in there because of their age.
Then they put the guy in charge on and he was a dick to the 1mil degree. He said my full name and said the search warrant I in your name. And so since he was rude with me I did the same back, I told him, if you don’t exit my home and tell your men I can see have my housemates on the ground handcuffed with a knee on their back and assault rifles to their heads, safety on or not I’ll be calling Chula Vista’s police department and then the Mayor. The home you’re standing in is Titled in my Mothers name as it was a gift to me for my graduating from Law School, the two vehicles your men keep trying to open are expensive vehicles but if you run the VIN #’s they are also registered to my mother as the only vehicle registered to me is not their as I’m actually sitting across from the states attorney and then he made the worst blunder of his life and said “don’t play with me little fucking girl (I was 31) are you really a lawyer and the states attorney wouldn’t give your worthless ass the time of day. And I said “well yes I’m a licensed lawyer in all 50 states as well as internationally in Civil Law, Contract Law, Business Associations Law, Corporate Law, Employment Law, Immigration Law, Human Rights Law, Wills, Trusts and Estate Law as well as Copyright, Trademark and Patent Law. And since you clearly don’t believe me about the States Attorney, she’s already contacted your superior officer as well as the San Diego’s Chief of Police and would like to say a few words to you.
The state attorney said “I was going to give this fine young woman and her legal partner some pushback on the enormous class action law suit that spans the entirety of California by now, but with what I’ve been able to witness with real time security cameras placed on her property and your lack of understanding jurisdictional law on top of your treatment of innocence living within the home resorting to violence as though they met you at the door with shotguns in hand and strapped with C4 I gave my recommendation to your police commissioner that you all be suspended without pay and that the class action suit against the City of San Diego and I’m going to include San Diego County be filed with me today and that the state court hear my reasoning why it should be rendered no contest on the states end with the County, City and City Counsel members of San Diego being responsible for physical, emotional, and mental damages as well as property damages to all listed in the class action suit, including the rebuilding or remodeling of homes that have become labeled as unlivable and that all that your team damaged today be replaced with new replacements and that damages for emotional distress come from your police stipend that would have been your retirement fund and once all is settled then I gave your commissioner one final ultimatum, that you all move from suspended to fired without benefits, and you all be charged with excessive force and be remanded to court to hear your sentencing for when and where you’ll be doing your 2500 hours of community service, and if you fail to complete said hours and move without notice warrants for arrest will be issued.
Due to the success of the entire class action lawsuit, 17 of my graduating classmates, 22 of our sections graduating class after us as well as some of our close lawyer friends looking to work for a firm that put their focus in the client we opened up our firm. After my gaming sponsors heard about what I did to shake up California with just the overly mistreatment of patients using alternative legal medicine for their ailments, illnesses and diseases my original sponsor became my first client. He founded Rooster Teeth, owned a majority 3rd of Warner Brothers and an equal 3rd of Ubisoft, his wife owns 25% of EA/Bioware but she works in EA/Bioware’s military division (they create and develop and program everything the US Air Force needs to fly, and if needed fight in war. We then signed to represent Activision/Blizzard until the former CEO of Activision had that human rights fiasco and we dropped him as a client.
Then The Coalition, Epic Games, Bungie, 314 Studios, Square Enix and Bethesda Game Studios all became clients. It allowed me to save my money and invest in purchasing an almost majorty ownership (not through shares but before it went public) of Unity Studios, and in doing so I was able to then continue to save my money and turn California and the rest of the US and the medicinal cannabis industry on its head once I finished getting PhD’s in Microbiology, Microcellular Biology, Organic and Analytical Chemistry, Agriculture, Epidemiology, Theoretical Genetic Manipulation, Immunology, Physiology of Genetics and Theoretical DNA Receptor Alteration and Application.
Because my loyal named partners at the law firm saw I wanted to change how not only patients saw medicinal cannabis but how I could remove the Federal Governments lax (let the states deal with it) ideals, I worked tirelessly with 3 scientists, 2 I met while getting my Ethics of Genetics PhD and one while getting my Epidemiology PhD. I went to every medicinal state, went to those award festivals that awarded companies for growing the best medicine and met with growers old and new as well as a company from Michigan that was family owned and operated and had been since the beginning 5 generations ago.
I noticed when taking samples from these so called “organic farmers” and “award winning growers” that they didn’t even know the origin of the medicinal cannabis they were growing. They didn’t know what it truly meant to grow and harvest everything in a purely organic setting, with setting so controlled it was literally sterile and operational like a lab a phlebotomist would use. I also found out that the test facilities they used for testing didn’t even meet Federal standards for what vitamin companies have to send off their products to to make sure the FDA gives approval. So I made an appointment with the Bureau of Alternative Health, The Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, the CDC, and The Center for Biological Evaluation and Research, all federal government agencies that insure that vitamin companies, OTC medicine companies and even pharmaceutical companies within the US follow strict guidelines. When I met with these agencies I was finalizing my final PhD in Epidemiology and Theoretical DNA Receptor Alteration and Application with UMass Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts became quite interested in providing me grants for future research because I had been working with over 360,000 individual patients by that time and I had their information that was updated every 90 days. So they told me outright they met with me because of how the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was so interested in securing research funding for what they thought was research I was going to turn around and sell. 😤 I told them that my mission was to build and provide medicinal grade cannabis to patients via treatment programs designed specifically for the individual patient based on their ailments, illness, and/or disease that after finally having a computer program written specifically for (thank you Unity) mapping the full DNA chain of any patient I couldn’t then overlay it with any number of the 157 individual F1 strains that I naturally genetically modified and patented (and yes AC/GT on the DNA helix is turned into 0 and 1 so all my strains I spent time growing have an inner tail that when run through a decoder the binary code reads that this biological organism and all it’s component parts are the property of and then it has my name, bar license numbers for here and internationally and the license number given to me by the CDC when they were ordered to double check all my research.
(yes I had friends while on trips to certain areas go and illegally cut specific strains, all growing in the wild, like the Nepalese strain in Nepal, the Jamaican strain in Jamaica, my CrossFit coach found Durban Poison for me when she went back home to Johannesburg she took a trip to Durban and she sent me a picture of a literal lake it looked like the ocean and around it miles and miles of sand dunes with DP growing wild. My uncle brought back Acapulco Gold while on his vacation with family.
On my trip to the Netherlands I paid a tour guide 3x the amount to take me on a private tour to find the wild Am Asia strain, and when he saw I had only cut off its large fan leaf, he said “you didn’t want to bring any of the flowers with you to smoke, it’s legal in the country but these wild strains are all on private property and rarely ever cut down or touched.” I told him “Nope! I’m a geneticist and all the genetics I need for a plant can be found in its leaves especially it’s water leaves as it’s a better source for information on how it absorbs the nutrients in the land it’s growing in and the environmental factors it’s gone through and it still looks remarkably healthy. From there I can extract its DNA and combine it with any of the other original strains that I have to create a pure 1st filial generation without the stress seed companies and growers use to force some of these mix strains to show just minimal characteristics of the originals. I’m doing this to create strains that will be specific for patients based on their DNA. Imagine I have a picture of a ladder and it’s missing the 4th step, that’s the patient who has Cancer X, what I’ve done is create purely organically grown and harvested strains, they are planted in 150lb burlap sacs that contain living soil and are watered with triple reverse osmosis water, inside temperature controlled warehouses that are hermetically sealed and with nano filtration air units, workers enter the first entrance, they dress down from everything, then they are allowed to enter the decontamination chamber where they are decontaminated by the same designed system the CDC uses, then they are allowed to move to the next locked chamber that contains their sealed coveralls, as well as custom shoes or boots, a short sleeve tshirt, or long sleeve t shirt, they are required to bring underwear and socks that are decontaminated and sealed in for their comfort and then cargo pants. The coveralls they put over the clothes have multiple pockets as well as a headband to hold long hair back so when fully zipped the hood which has a 360 view doesn’t have them worrying about their hair. So much is taken into account with each agriculturist because they have degrees and their work counts towards PhD research where my facilities are located in California and Oklahoma. But back to the ladder missing a step, I can take this leaf extract it’s dna have my computer program run its dna against the patient database and then tell me if it’s best grown as is or genetically modified (and by modified I only mean adding in DNA from a strain that complements or fills in what this strain is missing. Then once that is done it will be crossed with my oldest creation which is the Control Group Strain because the magic it performs is forcing out the recessive traits of strains like this Acapulco Gold, and 9 times out of 10 those recessive traits are the puzzle piece that’s missing. Or if you look at “the patients ladder aka DNA thats missing a rung is the DNA sequence of ACGT or base pairs, and depending on where it appears when the patients DNA is sequenced gives the road map as to why the patient has this particular Cancer X. Now then with the catalogue of strains available we can overlay the plants DNA and find which ones fall into place with that missing ladder rung, which means that if this were the super killer breast cancer gene that is “missing on this ladder” it means that the patients Cancer switch is turned ON, and if we can find the strain that fits that spot then its likelihood that it will cause the patients Cancer X gene to turn OFF like a light switch and the likelihood of that reaction is well over 72% success.”
So when I graduated from college I was derailed by my fathers death, I was able to create a generous living partnering with my to sell used cars, but became dragged down because I felt I needed more and education had always fun for me, so I attended college and medicinal cannabis was one of those random things that became something I was interested in because of my refocused mindset thanks to law school and because it was a way that I could go back to more science education and possibly help others. So I picked the subjects that not only were necessary but also went hand in hand with my trial lawyer ability to argue factually with proof. And in doing so I was able to build a bigger and more successful space for my law school friends to pursue their careers with no need for rivalries or animosity because everyone could be on equal footing as even the accounts I brought in I made sure were handled by myself as well as the others.
Then I was finally able to compile years (over a decades worth of patient data) and present it to the federal government as a way they could make a profit via taxes to completely legalize it and give them and their sub advisory committees the literal blueprint on how to enforce regulation for anything sold with the label medicinal, and by the time I met with them I had finally turned down The Commonwealth of Massachusetts 3 times telling them I wouldn’t be their puppet because they gave me money, when I had paid off everything long ago. Moreover, I told them that this will be continued research for several decades to come so to be able to have a part in this do so by offering these PhD programs and adding clinical hours to them and their work at one of my locations can count for their required clinical hours. Because if I’ve noticed anything the federal govt is taking notice before the laws go into effect but the increase of agricultural demand in Oklahoma, Michigan, Colorado and West Virginia is happening because the Fed govt recognized an old profiting way of life has been revived and educating those that will create a similar landscape will lead to others smarter than myself extending and enhancing my research and results while at the same time forcing those at the top to realize that pharmaceutical companies will have to get in line.”
So I listened closely to those around me who never once said I was wasting my time, to my professor, the dean, my legal partners, and my friends, business partner in Unity, and did it my way, from the beginning, and let my heart love both careers at the same time. To date our corporation Wild Rose Alternative Care Facility has assessed and catalogued 772,390 patients and have successfully what doctors had told numerous patients was inoperable cancer with no cure, we in fact cured in 100% of them. We have been able to turn off DNA Sequences that cause diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, GERD, as well as found similarities in certain patients with mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and manic depressive disorder and in conjunction with their doctors assessments have worked directly with doctors to build treatment plans that have succeeded in weaning 14 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia off the medications that were they to continue long term would eventually cause kidney failure, reduced liver function, slower cellular regrowth in simple cells like epithelial cells.
Along with me working directly with my cousins doctor we were able to cure his kidney cancer and he’s been in remission for 3 years now. My wife’s father no longer had diabetes, or diabetic neuropathy in his extremities and his heart health has increased exponentially.
I still see patients but mostly I’m the one checking to make sure no variable in the solidified patented strains have happened and I’m constantly improving the way we do DNA sequencing and reporting. I’m also spending my downtime working with my original gaming sponsor via Unity to provide help to animation and gaming studios and using my knowledge of patents, copy and trade to help these companies provide better options to their artists and writers and involve myself in projects some studios are doing because it’s an amazing career to let off steam.
I know I rambled but I felt it was necessary that you knew that each PhD I decided to pursue I did because i could apply it somewhere. Hell I’ve even helped a family member partner with a budding engineering company who has in the last year designed developed and sold rights to medical supply companies of their new IV machines that don’t require the nurse to bleed the line to remove air bubbles and waste antibiotics, portable respiratory devices as well as redesign both ambulatory stretchers to decrease the rate of paramedic injury from old stretcher designs and they are currently working on a psychiatric bed that provides humane straps and restraints not found anywhere else, with the ability to safely restrain the patient without the increase of both patient and nurse or doctor during treatment.

Engineering proteins to treat cancer

Engineering proteins to treat cancer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like many children of first-generation immigrants, Oscar Molina grew up feeling like he had two career choices: doctor or lawyer. He seemed destined for the former as he excelled in high school and planned to major in biochemistry at the University of California at Los Angeles, but as an undergraduate, he fell in love with research.
“I was fascinated by discovery. As I did it more in college, I realized I didn’t want to be a doctor,” he says. “Once I saw that I could make an impact and be at the forefront of therapy with biotech, I knew I wanted to do that.”
If the next couple of years go as planned, his parents will indeed see their son become a doctor — just not exactly the way they might have guessed. He’s entering the fifth year of his PhD program in biology at MIT and is currently working in the lab of Professor Ronald Raines, researching the potential of proteins to kill cancer cells.
Molina, who is the first in his family to attend college, also works to support his fellow students through outreach and community-building efforts. In various roles, including as a Graduate Community Fellow in MIT’s Office of Graduate Education, he sought to connect and encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds as they pursued their own graduate studies.
“I had a lot of opportunities presented to me that made me ask, ‘Why me?’” he says. “I recognize that they were super valuable, and that’s why I should deliver that back to other people.”
Unlocking protein construction chemically
The spirit of giving back isn’t just limited to Molina’s work outside of the lab. He chose chemical biology and the pursuit of new cancer therapies as his research focus partly because his grandfather has been dealing with the disease for the last 10 years. The ultimate goal guiding his research is to make all protein-based cancer therapies more effective.
He and other collaborators in the Raines Lab published a paper in June that takes an important step in that direction, suggesting a way to make fusion proteins with greater customization and improved performance. They discovered that a chemical called 3-bromo-5-methylene pyrrolone can be used to combine three proteins efficiently and with high levels of control and modularity, a significant advance given most of the techniques for protein conjugation are only able to combine two at a time in a single spot.
“Now, we can have chemical control of where we include different things, where we can kind of plug-and-play,” he says.
Researchers can now adjust multiple characteristics at the same time — for example, increasing the protein’s half-life or improving its ability to target cancer cells — while still achieving a homogenous end product. They’re also relevant to immune cell redirection therapies, which require multimeric protein chimeras to activate immune clearance of cancer cells.
“That’s the most interesting thing to me,” he says. “How do we give a biologic therapy the best opportunity to be active and efficacious?”
His upcoming thesis will center around that question as it relates to chemotherapies based on ribonuclease 1, an enzyme that is best-known for cleaving RNA.
Paying it back and paying it forward
While that thesis will likely demand more of Molina than any other project he’s worked on in the past, he’s no stranger to hard work. After his mother and father left their respective homes of Guatemala and El Salvador in the 1990s, they dedicated their lives to giving their children futures that they themselves didn’t have access to.
Witnessing their efforts impressed two beliefs into Molina’s worldview: the value of education and the importance of support. Among his family, he is the first to graduate from a U.S. high school, the first to attend a four-year college, and the first to attend graduate school. These “firsts” can weigh heavily, and as he began his studies at MIT, he knew how difficult it can be to carry that burden alone.
“I saw the need and wanted to help other people be the first in their family to do things like go to college,” he says. “I also wanted to help people with similar backgrounds to mine, like being an underrepresented minority or a first-generation college student.”
That desire led Molina to join MIT’s Office of Graduate Education as a Graduate Community Fellow in January 2022, where he worked on supporting various affinity groups across the Institute. This included helping groups out with logistics, funding applications, community outreach and cross-group collaborations. He also spent part of last summer as a pod leader for the MIT Summer Research Program, which works to prepare underrepresented students for graduate education and research.
He’s also leveraged his personal interests to volunteer with various community organizations in Cambridge and Boston. Despite his numerous commitments, he’s an avid marathon runner, and ran the 2022 Boston Marathon while raising nearly $8000 for Boston Scores, a program that provides educational and athletic opportunities for students in the Boston Public Schools system.
After graduation, Molina plans on joining a startup in Boston’s biotech scene while learning more about the venture capital firms that fund their research. Wherever he ends up, he plans on continuing to apply the core truths that brought him where he is now.
“I want to be at the forefront of creating therapies. I really like science. I really like helping others. I really like the ability to create things that are impactful,” he says. “Now it’s time to take that and find my way to what’s next.”
