It is so incredible to me how Solas and Lavellan have their own code to communicate to each other. I'm talking about Lost Elf and the music that plays in the "Atonement" romanced ending in Veilguard. Two instruments having a dialogue while time is running. How the tune changes when Lavellan appears in the scene, shifting from the big Dread Wolf vibes to a new arrangement (dialogue?) of the Lost Elf. The music even stops for one second.

I'm obsessing over this little detail, I know, but I think it shows, even if you don't understand Solas or Lavellan body language to each other in the finale, what is happening. They're having the same debate all over again but it is different, the music is telling you it's different. More elements influence it. Lavellan knows better now, the violin is different and it doesn't have this desperate vibe to it.

I always admired Hans Zimmer since I was a little kid and getting to play Veilguard, save Solas from his worst fear and Hans Zimmer taking his time to do something specific for the solavellan ending makes me feel like it was my birthday.

i think immediately after the act 3 ending they are. inconsolable. for a little while. theyre scared about dying, first of all- but also just freaked out about how much it. mustve. hurt, yknow?

and probably theyre trying to explain this to the others… explain that everything hurts and theyre scared and they dont know what they want or what to do and no one really gets it. (save siffrin, of course, whom is seeing this and Definitely Not panicking that some damage was actually carried over. but also who understands how theyre feeling, as someone who at that point has died dozens of times).

havent got too much to say on this one, but yeah. bonnie has a freakout afterwards, probably gets left behind in town for that loop (the party might assume the freak out is due to stress about confronting the king, and they dont exactly have the Time to figure that out when theres a country to save). also worth noting this event is what puts siffrin in his “i need to do this alone, for their sake” mindset where he will do his best to Not involve bon anymore.

i watched the time quangle before i watched neverafter and i remembered how pinocchio hinted he might have a bit of a crush on red, so i was looking for it during the campaign.

and there are a lot of really good moments you can build on, but i found a lot of it really was just from pinocchio's side as he seems to point out how cool ylfa is a fair amount: he says more than once that one of the first things she ever did was save his life, and after the jester bit he does, she makes that buoy of destiny joke and pinocchio talks about how much funnier she is than him. in return though, ylfa doesn't seem to really consider him overly much, always more preoccupied in her spare moments with authority figures or awestruck by older women like rosamund, or the princesses, or the baba yaga, or the fairy with the orange hat.

and then for her to drop in the very last five minutes of the entire campaign that she had a lil diary where she wrote "nocchi" in hearts around the name, and everyone had to take a moment to realize she meant pinocchio and not like, gnocchi the pasta or something, was hilarious. peak moment. perfect way to end it tbh. 😂😂 what a great campaign!!!

Yes, Choji has three starter pokemon evolutions on his team. I couldn’t help myself and neither could he, apparently. Choji’s definitely been abroad a fair few times, both before and after becoming his town’s gym leader, and it’s like he’s got a sixth sense for finding the pokemon in each region that are going to give him the biggest challenge. The rarest and most difficult to catch have all been starter pokemon so far (and Castform, which he may or may not have stolen/liberated from a weather research facility in Hoenn). Cinderace is his ace (ha) pokemon, and it’s… totally because he’s got the kanji for rabbit in his name (correct me if I’m wrong but that’s why everyone uses the rabbit emoji for him, right?). Also fire types just felt fitting for Choji. Bright and burning like the sun, just like him! Hence why Castform is perpetually in its Sunny Day form. Monferno matches his acrobatics in a fight and Torracat is for Shishitoren!

As for Litleo… gonna be totally honest here, I briefly forgot Torracat existed and thought this was the closest I was going to get to a tiger. And then I did find Torracat, and I thought about dropping Litleo from the line-up. The eyes, though. Litleo’s damn eyes reminded me too much of Choji, so I kept it. Also it’s cute and I can very vividly imagine Choji play-wrestling with it. And probably playing soccer/football with Cinderace. Choji would dominate in a lot of sports but I’m partial to soccer, so. Might as well tack that headcanon on.

(Also, hey. If my very tired brain is misfiring at the moment and shishitoren’s animal is a lion, not a tiger? I did Litleo on purpose)

Last but not least, Charcadet. I said this in another post but I literally have no idea what goes on in Scarlet and Violet. I don’t know if this is a rare pokemon, or one Choji could feasibly have without completing some plot-relevant quest. But we’re throwing logic out the window for this one because I took one look at Charcadet and said, yeah, that’s Choji’s. No need to look for a backup sixth pokemon, that’s him all over. Tiny fire child warrior!! No regrets.
