Sugishita’s Team:
Greavard
Weavile
Heracross
Tangela (gifted)
It’s the boy! Umemiya’s number one stan and his most feral guard dog! I went into this with no clear picture for what he’d have, except for what I mentioned in another post regarding guard dog characters getting dog-like pokemon to match the vibes. Stumbled on Greavard and almost skipped over him except—
Tumblr media
I haven’t read the latest chapter yet so I don’t know how he met Umemiya but this seemed too good to pass up in terms of this AU. Umemiya picked up a puppy dog who just. Never left him again.
Also I liked him having a ghost type since he comes across as a little gloomy in canon.
Weavile is… almost purely because of the little smug face he makes sometimes with Sakura. You know the one. I wanted Sneasler originally and then realized that’s from the Arceus game and therefore probably isn’t obtainable in the present. So Weavile it is! Plus, like, it’s just fitting. I don’t know I see it.
Heracross is based on the fact that Sugishita looks like the kind of person who would’ve collected stag beetles as a kid. Also ramming people with its horn is Sugishita-like behavior and you can’t change my mind.
And finally Tangela! Tangela was hatched from an egg that came from a Ditto and Umemiya’s Tangrowth mating. Sugishita — self-proclaimed apprentice who gets up at the ass-crack of dawn to check on the pokemon — was the one who found it, and by Umemiya’s logic that means he was the one to decide what to do with it. And because it’s Umemiya’s Pokémon’s child… Sugishita had to raise it himself. Obviously. (Kotoha thinks this is both the cutest and cringiest thing in the world; Ume just appreciates how dedicated Sugishita is to the daycare).

Blossoms
cw: PLA Ingo, talk of his amnesia, fluff, short
pairing: Ingo/Reader
Spring had hailed within the wilds of the Hisui region, bringing forth new blossoms and a verdant green that welcomed life once more. It was a positive change after the harsh winter blew through and laid waste to all. Those used to the wintery climate of the northern point seemed more than capable of coping and even thriving, but those from sunnier places within Jubilife struggled.
Particularly, you, of the modern day and lifestyle, felt humbled by the roughness and uncertainty of it all. But, you were not alone as Ingo, too, seemed to be at an impasse. It all mattered not now as the sun warmed the earth despite the chill of the wind. Snow melted and was replaced with a small beauty of nature reborn. You had taken the day off from your duties to enjoy the seasonal shift. Cyllene approved with little wonder. You had more than earned a day away from your duties after what you did for the region.
Finding a few wild Pecha blossoms out within a part of the Crimson Mirelands, you invited Ingo out to join you. Something of a relationship had taken shape between you both. It was only natural as two pulled from far away to this place, you supposed. Yet, despite the beauty of the flowers in the air and pokemon flying around tending to the pollen, something seemed solemn within him. His voice was still as loud as ever, but his movements seemed even more muted.
His gaze drifted out in the distance, unfocused and dim. You felt concern pang inside you. A hand upon his did little to draw his attention out of whatever stupor he was in. For a moment, you truly stared at his face. The heavy bags under his eyes and beginnings of wrinkles around the corners of them. His goatee springing forth from his chin and the beginning of a scar hidden under his mock neck undershirt. How long… had he been here? It could not have been that much longer than you, as the portal had only been recent development. You brought his calloused hand between yours.
“Is something on your mind, Ingo?” You finally asked, desperate for an answer. Ingo blinked, coming to solid mind. His pale eyes landed on your face. Something soft crossed his face for a moment before being hidden by his usual expression. The hand you held suddenly grasped your own.
“… I wonder if where I came from had places as beautiful as this,” he finally spoke, voice levelled, “Did I enjoy spring as much as I do now?” You turned your attention back to the flowering trees for a moment. Due to his ability to speak Galarian naturally and his accent, Laventon had posed that Ingo was originally from Unova. Where in Unova did he originate, though? You sighed. The region was fairly green from your knowledge, but some parts skewed my tropical, with one even being more a mesa.
“Do you feel like you did?” You tried to think of a good reply. Ingo closed his eyes. His expression became focused, as it always did when he tried to recall anything. Nothing ever came. Only distant visions of blurry figures and confusing, lost feelings. His descriptions left you disheartened. What had taken his memories? Perhaps the fall had caused a head injury, but you had heard a theory from Laventon about Uxie perhaps being the cause. A soft wind blew through the valley you two sat in, shifting blades of grass and flowers in the wind.
“… I remember feeling exhausted…” he mumbled, “I don't know why, but I suddenly feel light-headed and heavy…” You let him move to rest his head on your lap instead of sitting. His cap laid on his chest in a tight grip. You stared at it for a moment. It was a certain type that you felt unable to place exactly. Your hand moved to rest on his cheek. The skin felt oddly soft. His eyes gazed up into yours again. “… I don't think I liked spring.”
You laughed a little at the bluntness of his statement. Unconsciously, you smoothed the hair that always cupped his face so handsomely. It felt horrible to be unable to help him. If only you had known him before all this had happened, then you could explain every little detail of his life to him. Maybe that spark of recognition would flicker in his eyes, and everything finally could return to him. Instead, all you could do was offer him your lap.
“… Do you think anyone misses you back where you came from?” Ingo asked suddenly. His attention slowly moved to the hat on his chest. “I… I wonder if there is anyone waiting on me,” his finger circled the blue and white emblem on the front of the item. It was worn and damaged like the rest of the accessory. The design was familiar to you, too, but just like Ingo, you could not place it. There was so much that you wished you could do.
“Without a doubt,” you told him, thinking back to those precious to you. They must have been worried sick, but you had yet to devise a way to return to the world that you left. If you had, you would have certainly offered it to the man in a heartbeat. You leaned down to press a chaste kiss to his forehead and then bumped your nose against his playfully. “That man you described… He's probably waiting on you, surely,” you smiled at him, “One day, we'll return to those who miss us.”
A soft smile stretched his lips. For a moment, it felt as if you two were the only beings in this world. Ingo closed his eyes while you observed the beauty of the clearing and the one laid out on your lap. A Starly's song played across the valley with a few Petlil doing a spinning dance. Spring was truly a magical time, it seemed.
“Ingo,” you softly told him, “I'm glad that I met you. I really do love you.”
His hand reached to hold yours again.
“… I love you, too,” he told you with a gentle tone, “You truly have made my life brighter, dear.”
The beauty of spring blossomed a more profound relationship between you and the Warden.

Her lore is inspired by Anne Jefferies and the fairies but I decided to make it darker and bloodier hehe 😝.
[The Lore] CW: Blood, Death.
Across the north where the wind from the south meets the northern sea of Ma’chilga town as if they were lovers from different parts of the world, There, was a happy little girl called Layla Buyunni, She works as a florist and a caregiver to an old lady called ‘Granny Mira’
Layla is known among the people as a happy and carefree girl, let alone a very beautiful and popular girl in the town too. Every day, she finishes her morning chores in Granny Mira's house then she goes to the market to buy groceries so she can cook and prepare a meal for herself and Granny Mira.
This was her daily routine for years until one day, she was cleaning the backyard with a broom, when she heard a rustling in the bushes, at first she didn’t care at all, she continued to clean the backyard until the rusting became more frequent and annoying, she decided to go and see what is hiding behind the bushes and she saw nothing at all, confused, she decided to head back to the yard and continue cleaning it.
This time, she heard a lot of voices and more rustling in many bushes near her, she was beginning to freak out. She clenched her hands onto the broom as if it were a weapon, she gasped with utter shock when she saw 6 dwarves dressed in green and white garbs coming towards her way. They stopped when they came face-to-face with Layla. They looked at her and smiled.
“Hello, Fair Maiden,” The leader of the dwarves greeted her.
Layla was so shocked that she didn’t reply, she kept looking at them and said nothing, at first, she thought she was dreaming or something. Until one of the dwarves climbed on her feet and she yelped in shock as she backed away from them.
“Worry not, fair maiden,” Their leader said, his tone genuine and soothing, Then six dwarves dressed in green and white outfits came to meet her. They all stood in a row in front of Layla and smiled up at her.
“A-a-a-are you r-real?” Layla finally spoke, she was stuttering and her tone was scared and shy. She was in disbelief, still not believing what she was seeing, she rubbed her eyes with her hands and looked at them and they were still there.
The dwarves laughed at her; They nodded their heads while doing so.
“Of course, we are, fair maiden,” said their leader, It is a dwarf who wore a white hat while the other green ones.
Terrified, she fiercely swung her broom at the dwarves, They dodged her attack and looked at her in complete confusion, Their leader, Mattan, raised her hand at her in indifference so that he could explain the situation to her.
“Layla, stop it!” Mattan declared with a firm tone.
In complete bewilderment, Layla dropped her broom, she lifted a surprised eyebrow “How did you know my name?”
“We know you, but you don’t know us,” came his vague reply.
Layla only blinked twice or thrice at this, she didn’t know what to do or say; Dwarves appearing in your garden isn’t something you see every day or something you can barely process. Layla swallowed hard, trying her hardest to understand the situation she was in.
“Okay? And what do you want?” Layla inquired.
Mattan stepped closer, he gently raised his hand and touched the hem of her dress. He didn’t say anything in the least, He only did some hand gestures. A thick white fog like a cloud in a clear sky enveloped them and in fear, Layla covered her eyes.
It didn’t take long for Layla to take her hands from her eyes and see what happened. She is in a different place now – a jungle — a forest, She is in a forest-like place, full of thick trees and green grass. As if she is in a perfect forest in some fairytale.
The dwarves started to walk and Layla trotted behind them. Mattan was talking about the history of this glorious forest while Layla was eagerly looking around the place. She smiled as he mentioned something about ‘willow trees’ she loves them so much.
In a flash, Mattan and his dwarves came to a halt, Mattan looked directly into Layla’s eyes as he pointed a finger at her.
“Layla, You are the daughter of the mother forest,” Mattan announced suddenly.
Layla, bewildered at his claim, she calmly shook her head. “No sir, I’m no such thing,” She replied.
Mattan, still determined to prove himself right. “You are!” He said determinedly.
Layla shook her head. “No, Sir.”
“You are!”
“No, Sir.”
Mattan breathed to calm himself. Layla is as stubborn as a mule to accept the truth.
Mattan sat on a big rock. “Haven’t you asked yourself, where are your parents?” Mattan asked.
Layla’s eyes fixed on him. “I have, many times to count,” She said in a quiet tone.
“Both of your parents are gone, sadly,” Mattan told her, his tone is soft and mild. He paused then after long moments. “But, You must know your heritage, You are a verdant, a being of the forest and we need to protect you until you grow up into a powerful Sylvan!”
The dwarves nodded as they looked at Layla.
Layla was still in disbelief and she refused to believe any of this. “No, I’m no such thing.”
Suddenly, five dark creatures rushed towards Layla but Mattan easily blocked their path from Layla.
Layla gasped in utter shock and horror. From the look of them, they are dark dwarves, evil beings of chaos and evil. They are dressed in black and red clothes and they carry axes with them.
Mattan looked at Layla, He used his abilities to transported her back to her home. Layla was thankful to him for saving her life.
After days of this event, Layla discovered that she has some abilities, she can grow plants, flowers and everything that is plant-based. She told Granny Mira and the latter was shocked and scared.
“Please, Do not let the king know of this!” Granny Mira begged.
“Why?” Layla asked innocently.
Granny Mira breathed. “He hates magic, Because ‘magic’ is the reason for his wife's death,” She answered then she paused as if to remember what she was going to say. “Also, He will punish anyone that is doing magic or complicit in it!”
Layla was shocked, she didn’t know about this at all. No one in town said such a thing about magic.
“Okay, I got it,” Layla muttered as her head hunged down.
She was so happy about her gift, she wanted to help everyone and make their life easier, but now? She has to keep her gift a secret or everyone she knows will suffer.
Layla decided to look at the bright side. Granny Mira is right, she needed to keep this secret. Because if not: everyone she cares about is threatened with death. She decided to use her gift in secret and she won’t tell anyone about it except for Granny Mira, she already knows.
Days go by, and the dwarves finally come again to see Layla and to talk with her. They brought with them food and bread.
They sat in Layla’s room and surprised her. Layla smiled at them, it was the first time she smiled at them and she greeted them.
“Hello, Friends,” she greeted them happily.
The dwarves smiled and greeted her too, both were happy about their friendship. They decided to celebrate at little and the food they brought.
Layla took a bite of the bread, it was delicious and sweet, It was as if angels were singing in her mouth, she never tasted something as delicious as this. She thanked them for the food, she ate slowly and with manners, savouring every taste of it.
“This, this is delicious!” Layla spoke after she swallowed the bread.
“Glad you like it, It is called fairy bread,” Mattan exclaimed happily.
Then, The dwarves left, they brought with them so much food that Layla decided to put it on the hall table.
Later that day, Granny Mira invited her other friends, who were all older women just like her, she offered them the food that the dwarves brought to Layla. They took a bite of it and they were happy, they were praising Granny Mira for the delicious food she offered to them.
“This is delicious!”
“I have never ever tasted something like this!”
“This is out of this world!”
Granny Mira's smile flickered with a hint of bewilderment as she listened to their enthusiastic claims about the bread. Doubt crept into her mind, but curiosity got the better of her, with a determined nod, she reached for a piece and brought it to her lips. The moment she took a bite, her eyes widened in astonishment. The flavours exploded on her tongue, sending waves of delight through her senses. In a frenzy of hunger, she devoured the rest of the bread, savouring every delectable morsel as if she were a ravenous beast.
All her friends nodded. “See?” They chuckled at her display of hunger.
Granny Mira chuckled in agreement. She was embarrassed by her own inability to control herself. She is a well-mannered lady and she must show it.
When Granny Mira's friends left. She told Layla about the delicious bread and the food that was on the table, she laughed at how her friends, devoured it all, as if they were starving for days.
Layla smiled at this, she was happy but she was a little concerned since Granny Mira mentioned they ate the food that the dwarves gave her, and she was terrified that her caregiver friends would ask more of that food.
“Wellness, Granny,” Layla chuckled, trying her hardest to push her nervousness and concern away.
“You made it right? You always make delicious food,” Granny
Layla sighed. “No, I didn’t make it,” she confessed.
Granny blinked her eyes in pure confusion. “Y-you didn’t make it? Then who?”
Layla sat on the sofa. She looked at Granny and smiled “The fairies, or the dwarves, whatever they were,” she shrugged her shoulders. She was nonchalant and she didn’t know why.
“Layla, Tell me the truth,” Granny said as she sat beside her on the sofa.
“I told you the truth, It was the dwarves who made it for me.”
“That’s ridiculous!”
“It is the truth!”
Granny crossed her arms. “Layla! There are no such things as ‘fairies’ or ‘dwarves’”
“Fine! You want me to prove it to you?” Layla stated as she got to her feet and went to a different spot in the room and she started to move her hands as if to summon a paranormal creature.
It didn’t take long as a green glow sparkled in the room and six figures emerged from it. They were short and dwarves-like, unlike dwarves who were known for their green skin and ugly features, these dwarves had fair skin tones and good-looking facial features.
Granny placed her hands on her lips in pure astonishment. “Oh my! You are right! They are real.”
“See?” Layla grinned at her.
Granny Mira nodded and smiled. “Of course, But you must not tell the people about them Let alone the King,” Granny declared.
Layla nodded at her. “Of course, Granny.”
Times go by, and The dwarves continue to visit Layla and bring food for her, Granny’s guests enjoy the food and tell Granny how talented her daughter is for making the food, They were unaware of the dwarves or the fairies or even of Layla’s new gifts.
Unfortunately, One day, one of the King’s advisors heard some voices in the house of Layla and her Granny, They weren’t human and they didn’t belong to Layla or Granny, He heard of local stories of witches and glowing creatures, etc; he decided to take a permit to investigate the house.
He took a permit and he is heading to investigate Layla’s house. He saw things, He didn’t wish to make accusations without evidence.
Layla and Granny welcomed the King’s advisor. At first, He didn’t find anything regarding the ‘witches’ or ‘the glowing creatures’ that he heard or saw.
Unbeknownst to Layla or Granny, The King’s guards were awaiting the advisor's word so they could enter and capture Layla and Granny. but he didn’t give his signal at all.
The King’s advisor still didn’t see anything out of the ordinary in the house. He is still looking for clues and he sees glowing green spots on the floor. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at Layla and her Granny.
“Oh, that? That is some rare herbs I found deep in the forest!” Layla lied. She smiled as she looked him in the eye.
The King's advisor nodded. He didn’t know that it was a lie, her tone was genuine and sincere. and her body language didn’t show nervousness or lack of expression.
But the unexpected happened and one of the dwarves blew his cover as he fell from one of the top drawers of the kitchen.
The King’s advisor looked at Layla and Granny, He immediately lifted his finger and gave a signal towards the King’s guards. They came by kicking the door open and arrested Granny and Layla.
“Please! Please let us go!” Layla begged. “It is not what you think!”
His reply was a slap to her left cheek as he looked at her with disgust. “Silence! You witch!”
The guards took Layla and Granny to the King’s Yard for judgment.
At this moment, Hadi and Arouj were walking around the town, They heard people talking about a girl named Layla and her Granny, and that they were accused of witchcraft and magic.
Hadi’s interest was piqued by this. He knew there was more than meet the eye, He decided to do a rescue mission for Layla and her Granny, So, He pulled Arouj’s hand and they were running towards the King’s yard.
By the time Hadi and Arouj reached the place, the judge had said his final verdict and he saw Layla and her Granny were tied and ready to be executed.
His hand already glowed with green magic, With a snap of his fingers, the ropes on Layla and her Granny loosened, Layla quickly saw her chance and used her chlorokinesis, she shot out her palms, Thick hard vines curled themselves around the guards’ ankles and they were thrown away as if they were stones thrown by a catapult.
People gasped with horror and shock. They were scared of Layla’s powers, They ran at the sight of it. The King ordered his guards to kill Layla and The Granny.
So far, The King’s guards couldn’t get closer to Layla at all, until the King himself took Granny by surprise and killed her by decapitating her head with his sword. Layla gasped in shock and anger. The King’s sword is coated with blood, her Granny’s blood, She used her Chlorokinesis once again, she killed all the guards as her ravenous and scary monster plants killed the complicit in her Granny’s death.
Hadi magically pushed the guards away while Arouj used his lashers to kill them quickly, He didn’t want to but they forced his hands.
Layla growled with anger as she shot her palm against the king and his remaining guards. She commanded the ravenous vines to attack the evil King and his guards.
The King fought for his life till the end, But Layla decided to finish him quickly, One of Layla’s plant vines pierced him his heart, He yelled and gurgled as he placed his hand on his heart as if he was trying to lessen the pain but he couldn’t and died.
Hadi decided to intervene now. He slowly and carefully walked towards Layla. “We need to go,” He said urgently.
She smiled at him and nodded. “Let us go.”
Layla, Hadi and Arouj left the town, Hadi’s hands wreathed in a green glow as he conjured a portal to his home. Layla, Arouj and Hadi entered the portal before they were followed by the King’s guards.
Layla thanked Hadi for saving her and offering her a new place to stay, one where she could freely express herself and be herself.
She knew that she had fallen in love with Hadi Because he was the only guy who didn’t look at her as the guys would. He saw her as a friend and a great one. Layla fell in love with him and she likes him.
Aliyaa, Hadi and Arouj welcomed Layla and thus she stayed with them, as her new family. Layla also decided to look for answers about who she is and what happend to her parents.

Remaking "Fire Emblem: 3 Houses"
Tumblr media
(Spoilers ahead, obviously)
The time has come for another rewrite! I'm an amateur (re)writer, and I KNOW people are gonna be picky about this rewrite since many consider this entry the Holy Grail of the "Fire Emblem" series, but I hope you'll still be open to my changes, anyway! This is purely subjective and not something that reflects the fandom's opinion or me saying how to make the game objectively "better" (even though the term itself is subjective). I don't remember every single aspect of the game, so if I mention something that I wanted from the game that they actually DID do, be sure to mention it!
General
Tumblr media
DON'T RUSH US!--From the get-go, you're on a fixed schedule. Once you become a professor, you've got one day out of the week to explore the grounds, fight battles/do paralogues/xenologues, or another activity. Every Monday, you've gotta do instruction for your student, and the other days literally breeze by until you get to your next story arc. Letting us go at our own leisure would be awesome, particularly since it'd give us more time to get to know our characters via more missions and xenologues. Between school and war, it can get a bit monotonous.
Tumblr media
2. Give us impactful dialogue options instead of the illusion of choices--I have the same issue with "Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon." Throughout the game, we're given dialogue options, but most of the time the choices are identical or offer no affect other than a character's approval/disapproval. It felt annoying to have the option to tell the Flame Emperor that you'd join them, only for them to say they could tell you were lying. It's annoying stuff like that that makes it feel like you don't really need dialogue options at all, just cutscenes with Byleth speaking for themselves.
Tumblr media
3. Those Who Slither in the Dark being keeping us in the loop--It's wild to me that the people who did the most damage are the most underused in the game. Someone said that making their deeds more pronounced/known would ruin the point, but I disagree. In Crimson Flower, their role in the Tragedy of Duscur is revealed, but Edelgard defeats them offscreen before restoring peace. Dimitri never learns the full truth of this in Azure Moon, and if I recall, the organization does get more attention in Silver Snow (for like 2-3 chapters) and Verdant Wind, but I can't recall for certain. Either way, I feel like each route should feel complete, given that you're playing completely different stories, rather than it feeling like you're missing some information depending on the route you play. Not to mention, Kronya deserves better, even if I'm retconning her actions (more on that in a second)...
Tumblr media
4. Don't make us forget about marriage--having to find a ring sucks. After Jeralt dies, you have a certain amount of time in order to find his marriage ring (which I completely forgot about in my first playthrough) that you NEED if you want to reach S-supports with anyone. I'd prefer if Jeralt just gave it to Byleth rather than us having to go to his office and find it.
Tumblr media
5. Change the confusing Byleth bloodline--I'm fine with Sitri being either Rhea's daughter or (if you wanna romance Rhea and Sothis without ethical concerns) simply working at the church where she met Jeralt. The family tree above makes things a lot more confusing than what it needs to be.
Tumblr media
6. Marriage to (mostly) whoever, whenever--In the game, you have to wait until after the war is over to be married, and out of them, you only have 5 romantic same-sex options for female Byleth--2 of which are route-exclusive--and 3 options for male Byleth--2 of which are either DLC or route-exclusive. I'd rather make it a free-for-all, save for Gilbert and Alois, who are married, and should've never prevented you from a romantic relationship with another character.
Tumblr media
7. Keep Jeralt alive--I'm just...I'm just TIRED of the "dead parent/evil parent" storyline that "Awakening," "Fates," and "Engage" have done, along with "3 Houses." I'd enjoy having Jeralt kept alive, in this version. Nevermind, this is probably the longest a protagonist has gotten to keep their parent in one of the recent FE games. Having him stand by Byleth similar to "3 Hopes" would be awesome.
8. Let us have Child units--As someone who got into the series via "Fates" and "Awakening," it disappointed me greatly that child units were removed. While I prefer "Fates" using the Deeprealms, I think an "Awakening" approach fits best here. Perhaps Sothis' time manipulation is more powerful than she knows, having sent the child units from the future to avoid their dark fates. Since it's story-related, perhaps it's Byleth's child who comes from the future first, referencing Chrom's daughter Lucina coming to save him and Emmeryn in "Awakening," only the child comes to save Byleth and Jeralt. Personally I made a lsit of fanmade child units almost a year ago.
Tumblr media
9. Recruit Jeritzia outside of Crimson Flower--"3 Hopes" allowed us to do so as long as we had Mercedes in one of our routes, and I'm confused on why that couldn't be done here. Recruiting Mercedes would be the wakeup call Jeritzia needs to join our side, rather than being the opposition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. Keep Byleth's hair color--This is a nitpick, but I'd like being able to change Byleth's hair color back to the way it was before becoming one with Sothis. I'm fine with keeping the hair color, though.
Tumblr media
11. A 3 Houses United Route--I mentioned in another post about a route where Jeralt survived, TWSITD as the main antagonists. What'd make this route unique (since I'd want the other two changes to be changed in all routes) is that the almost-death of Jeralt would inspire Byleth to leave the church and become a mercenary again, only getting involved years later once they see how the war has affected their students, and they can still recruit others based on their stats, and since they're not tied to a particular "side" in this concflict, they could recruit the house leaders and their aides rather than having to kill them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
12. Fix Dimitri's turnaround (Azure Moon)--It's probably just me, but it felt like Dimitri's vengence and sudden change of heart following Rodrigue's death felt...too quick? I know this is a hot take, but I'd have thought Rodrigue's death would've fueled Dimitri's anger. Plus I didn't feel like Dimitri's redemption (so to speak) was earned. It was just kinda "sorry for being a jerk, guys" even though the whole team seemed to back him. I'd have enjoyed seeing more moments of his sanity and morality kick in amidst the chaos rather than being one-track-minded. I feel like a lot of poorly done villain arcs do this (even if he isn't the villain of this route, per se). Since in my rewrite we learn about TWSITD, it's quite possible that Dimitri's anger is focused elsewhere in any case. Maybe Rodrigue didn't even have to die...

13. Utilize 3 Hopes designs--This may not be a popular opinion, but I think some of the characters looked better halfway in 3 Hopes than in 3 Houses. It would be nice to have the option to switch their costumes to their 3 Hopes looks instead (even though I know they're older in the 3 Houses timeskip than they are in 3 Hopes).
Tumblr media
14. NO IGNORANT BYLETH--Instead of other installments that use the amnesia subplots, Byleth is simply kept in the dark about their parents' pasts, the world, and the church (which is kinda the same thing). I'd alleviate this entirely so we can have a mature and well-learned protagonist rather than a teacher who's just learning how the world works and about the tension in the land.
Hope you're not too upset with my version of the game! Lemme know what you think and if you have any questions. The next FE rewrite I do (whenever I get around to it) will be "Engage," which is the last FE game I've played.

I saw that you have a Pokemon Trainer!reader in your 'Anon Submission Master List'
If it is open, then as a biggest Pokemon fan or nerd I am
I wonder if the Chain met Pokémon Trainer!reader's Eevee plus all the Eeveelution?
Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon
Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokemon
Jolteon, the Lighting Pokemon
Flareon, the Flame Pokemon
Espeon, the Sun Pokemon
Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokemon
Leafeon, the Verdant Pokemon
Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokemon
Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokemon
And also them finding out about Eevee's Pokedex entries?
Like:
Pokemon Legends: Arceus Pokedex Entry:
Harbors the potential to evolve into manifold forms. Within Eevee lies the key to the mysteries of Pokémon evolution—I’m certain of it.
Pokemon Scarlet Pokedex Entry:
It's ability to evolve into many forms allows it to adapt smoothly and perfectly to any environment.
Pokemon Violet Pokedex Entry:
It's genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element stones.
Especially the Gigantamax Eevee Pokedex:
Pokemon Sword:
Gigantamax energy upped the fluffiness of the fur around Eevee’s neck. The fur will envelop a foe, capturing its body and captivating its mind.
Pokemon Shield:
Having gotten even friendlier and more innocent, Eevee tries to play with anyone around, only to end up crushing them with its immense body.
If it is closed, you can ignore this if you want
omg
can you imagine?
Each of the chain being interested with Eevee and wanting to just share pets and- THE CHAIN GET THEIR OWN EEVEELUTION? O.O
(I know you sent other asks- I'm so sorry this has been taking forever ^.^* I have no idea if you mentioned that already)
I think Wind would get Vaporeon.
Sky gets Espeon (because sun. <3)
Legend gets a typical Eevee because like the pokemon, he has a little bit of everything but also- give him some normalcy please DX He can do literally everything because he's been through so much. He should get a partner that has the potential to be so much but hasn't gone through anything. I'm calling poetic justice (is probably using the term wrong)
Twilight gets Leafeon
Wild gets Jolteon
Hyrule can have Slyveon.
I'm not sure about the remaining 3. But I can and am willing to defend these choices if asked. :D

Godddamn this competition has consumed so much of a time over the past week.
Bracket H thoughts:
Both of the first ones were good so I chose "Attack at the Wall" out of personal preference.
Darla had a point, people do love things that are "Big and Loud." The reprise is better with the context of the original.
...I know everyone is gushing in the notes about "I'm the Villain in My Own Story" and "Playing With the Big Boys Now" isn't the best villain song in that movie, but I honestly enjoyed it more? Probably because of a combination of nostalgia and *Megamind voice* PRESENTATION! Also probably doesn't help that I haven't watched Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in forever.
"Marley and Marley" is a darkly awesome bop.
"Molasses to Rum" is such a weirdly cool callout of Northern hypocrisy that I voted for it, but I was really tempted by "When the Chips Are Down" because I do think that one is better musically.
After much deliberation, I voted for "One Step Ahead" because I am a sucker for the homoerotic power of swordfighting and calling someone "old friend". Also the soundtrack version of "Made in America" is better than the live performance because everyone was kind of sick when they did the Black Friday proshoot and it really shows.
The lyrics of "Why We Build The Wall" are so good, damn.
"Descole's theme live version" just sounded better to me, IDK.
Oh my god "Countdown." Dawn's singing. The hidden countdown in the lyrics. "The tick-tock of my flintlock's hangfire." The Western guitar. Vote for "Countdown," PLEASE. Everyone needs to hear Dawn sing right now.
"I Love You (As Much As Someone Like Me Can Love Anyone)" doesn't even seem that evil to me, that's just an aromantic trying to clarify the nature of her relationship with her fuckbuddy (joking). Anyway, try watching the actual Omega Flowey boss fight and tell me "Your Best Nightmare" doesn't deserve the win.
...I love "The Ballad of Sara Berry," but "God-Shattering Star" is one of the few redeeming factors of the rushed clusterfuck that is the final stages of Verdant Wind*. Anyway it's still a really badass song with a badass title.
"Friends in Low Places" is a kickass rock number. Also why are FernGully's villain songs so weirdly horny.
THAT FUCKING PIANO. VOTE FOR "BATTLE! POKEMON WIELDER VOLO."
Ok guys I know we all love PnF but "Evil for Extra Credit" is not as good as Bernadette Peters' villainous yet tragic performance in "Stay With Me."
THE PLATYPUS SONG IS NOT A VILLAIN SONG. HE'S NOT DOING VILLAINY OR SINGING ABOUT VILLAINY. HE'S JUST DJ-ING A PARTY. I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL.
The essay in the notes about "Eternity Served Cold" convinced me to vote for it. Join us filthy Homestucks in turning this one around.
*Why does nobody talk about the antisemitic implications of the eeeeevil conspiracy of underground people (who you genocide) that are secretly ruling the world with blood magic+infiltrating society and were responsible for killing Crystal Dragon Jesus. I mean, I know why, but come on guys.
Aaaa I’ve loved hearing your opinions on all these even though that probably took so much time!

Arviana Week
Day 3 - Picnics
I'm just going to accept that I'll forever be a day behind lol
Also on AO3
---
Paldea really had some crazy biomes. Just over that ridge, the ridge that formed Collonade Hollow, was Asado Desert and yet where they were was lush with verdant grass and clusters of trees. Even the breeze was on the cooler side, but that could be because of them being farther north, plus the river that ran just past the hill. Unova hadn't been like that, as far as she knew.
Well, to be fair, there had been a large desert between Nimbasa and Castelia Cities in Unova, but just the stark change was throwing Juliana off. Unova didn't have anything like the caverns out east, after all. Just some more cliffy and mountainous areas, but nothing so extreme.
Well, she supposed it gave Paldea a charm, the changing biomes, and at least this way she and Arven had a nicer place for a picnic than one of the mesas.
Their pokemon relaxed around them sans Mabosstiff, but considering he wasn't hundred percent yet, Juliana didn't blame Arven for keeping him in his ball for the time being.
After all, they had one Titan left now.
…and Juliana had the Elite Four to take on and two more Team Star bases.
At least Florian was helping her with the latter, seeing as he had helped with the Navi Squad and all. Apparently, he and Atticus had really hit it off too, so finding and getting to the last two bases wouldn't be too hard either.
So really she only had to worry about the League and the last Titan.
She plopped her chin on her palm and sighed.
"What are you sighing about?" Arven spoke up and she stuck her tongue out at him. "Oh, wow. Real mature, little buddy."
"I'm sighing over the fact you won't let me play with your hair," she remarked and laughed at the hand he held protectively over his head. "I'm joking, I'm joking! I'm just...nervous about the League and all."
"Why? You're super strong, Juli," he said and for some reason, him calling her Juli made her heart race. "Heck, Titans aside, you took down all eight gyms in, what? Two months? I think the only person who has you beat on that time is the Student Council President and she's some kinda pokemon battling machine."
Juliana really wanted to argue with that, she did, but he had a point. As sweet and kind of clingy as Nemona had been, she had crazy stamina when it came to battling.
"To be fair, I only beat Florian to Grusha because he pissed off a flock of Delibird," she pointed out and grinned at Arven's exaggerated eye roll.
"We're not talking about Florian," he sneered and she had to fight the giggle down as he tried to correct his tone. She should probably tell him he didn't have to be so jealous over Florian, but there was something cute about the way he got all huffy when the other boy was mentioned. "We're talking about you and your amazing battling skills, little buddy. You have nothing to worry about at the League!"
"Thank you," she said. "I do mean it. I just…maybe it's less worry about actually battling the League and more that…I feel guilty?"
"Guilty?" Arven tilted his head just like a confused Growlithe. Oh, that was so cute. "Why?"
Juliana plucked at the grass, scattering the blades into the wind. She pressed her lips together and felt a little like she might cry.
"Well, there's still one more Titan? Mabosstiff isn't…one hundred percent yet…so I…I don't want to leave you guys hanging to go off and-and challenge—"
A big hand fell onto her shoulder.
She hadn't realized she had pulled a whole clump of grass out, leaving dirt on the edge of their blanket and sad blades to flutter listlessly. Unsurprisingly, Zuzu was toddling over with a frown on her face. Putt-Putt wasn't far behind, his engine revving worriedly.
"You know, it's okay to be selfish, right?" Arven said and Juliana felt the tears she was trying to fight bubble up. He smiled at her and it didn't help. "Little buddy, Juliana, I think you're…the most selfless person I've ever met. Take it from me. I've been selfishly using you this whole time, haven't I?"
"You…You just couldn't…trust me at first," she mumbled and rubbed at her cheeks. "I-I wouldn't trust some-some new kid from Unova either with my p-p-precious partner. P-Plus you've been-been sharing the Herba Mystica."
"Yeah, in sandwich form," he remarked and began patting nervously around himself. "Where… Ah! Here!"
He held out a relatively clean handkerchief to her and only grimaced a little when she sniffled. Still, he sighed when she took it and she chuckled at that.
"Sorry…" she mumbled.
"It's okay." He tentatively patted her shoulder. "…but really, it's okay. I have to do some research on the last Titan anyway, so… Go take on the League, little buddy. Mabosstiff and I…we can handle waiting a little longer. Besides, it's probably better not to…y'know, eat too much of this stuff too quickly."
"I guess so…" Juliana worried the cloth between her hands. Her team was pretty strong…so taking on the League… "…are you sure it'll be okay?"
Arven bumped her shoulder and she couldn't help leaning into the touch. Surprisingly, he didn't move away.
"Yeah! It'll be fine!" he insisted. "…besides, all I know is that the Titan's somewhere…northwest so…"
He gestured around them, more so towards the river than the desert.
"Could be on Socarrat Trail. Could be somewhere on the Lake. Hell, maybe even somewhere closer to Glaseado." His shrug rocked her. "It'll take a bit, so you have some time. Mabosstiff is holding pretty strong so…it's fine."
She sniffled again.
"…you're sure?"
"Pretty sure."
"Positive?"
"Positive."
"Absolutely po—"
He bumped her again with a grumble.
"Yes, mocosa," he snapped, before his voice was much softer. "I'll be waiting just a phone call away, okay? I better be the first person you call when you make Champion Rank."
"Nemo already called dibs."
"How dare you."
Juliana laughed and the sight of his smile made her heart soar.
"No, you'll be the first after mom. Nemona will probably be waiting in the lobby, anyway." She grinned and leaned her head against his shoulder. "…thanks, Arven."
"Any time, little buddy."
---
Juliana's team is based off my own team from Violet so it's:
Habanero the Skeledirge
Zuzu the Azumarill
Flamma the Flamigo
Portobello the Toedscruel (matching with Arven)
Putt-Putt the Revavroom
Godzilla the Baxcalibur

Chapter 2: You should head back
Tumblr media
Wally Darling / GN Reader Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 7 | Chapter 8
Rating: M
Summary:
The city is full of people. Then why did it feel so lonely? Memories of clinking bottles and dazzling neon lights flickered through your mind. Misty, car filled streets with humans, but no humanity. A bridge and a phonebooth. And a sweet voice that wanted you to come home. You’ve wandered too far, and you don’t know how to get back. But don’t worry! You’ve made some friends from a colourful town that can help you!

Tumblr media
A low buzz of static hummed throughout your living room.
You were alone again.
It wasn’t new to be alone.
Your mom worked multiple shifts, and your teenage sister was often out late.
Your dad had been out of the picture for a long time.
You sat on the verdant shag rug as you leafed through the spines of old VHS tapes on your entertainment centre. Tempting titles such as Pokemon or Doraemon called for you to pick them, but there was one that you always meandered back to.
There was a worn, yellow plastic tape, the sticker long faded from years of use.
Welcome Home.
Your mom picked it out at a second-hand shoppe - probably to get you off her back while she shopped for other things.
It quickly became one of your favourite shows.
It felt like a nice little respite from the world. A home away from home.
You also loved the fact that the artist segment changes every time you watch it!
It must be a new feature for VCR players, because none of your other tapes did that!
You popped the VHS into the player, the gears winding the tape.
The rainbow show lit up the room, like a beacon of life in this dreary existence.
The opening title of the show rolled. You hummed to it as you got comfortable on the floor, your tiny legs kicking in the air as you lay on your stomach.
The segment started, the main character behind an easel peaking out, paintbrush in hand.
“Hello, neighbour!”
----
Your heavy eyelids blinked as consciousness pulled you out of your deep slumber. You sucked in a deep breath of air as you stretched your sore limbs.
What a day, yesterday.
You rolled to your side as the reality of waking up connected in your brain. You tiredly stared at the rows of storeroom shelves, internally cursing yourself.
Guess it was all real.
You fumbled out of your blanket cocoon and wobbled your way to the door. You were greeted with the same towering, multi-limbed creature from yesterday. There was something comforting about him today, though. He felt more realistic. Kind.
He was stocking his shelves dutifully before looking up to you. He held in a chuckle. “Good morning! You look like you slept well.”
You gave him a groggy ‘huh?’
He responded simply by pointing at your hair.
Your hand went up to touch the literal bird’s nest that sat on your scalp. You hurriedly ran your fingers through the locks, flattening out whatever imperfections. An embarrassed blush crossed your features.
He chuckled once again. “If you want, you can use the shower. I can find you a fresh pair of clothes.”
“You sell clothes?” Your sleepy voice cracked in surprise.
“More like I special order clothes for Julie. The only thing is that silly little girl always forgets to pick up her orders.”
You rubbed the sleep from your eyes. “Wouldn’t she be mad if you looked through her orders?”
He gave a dismissive wave of a hand as he moved his way to a few boxes behind the front counter. “If I told her that it was for you, she’d probably assume it was for ‘dress up party’ purposes. So I don’t think she’d mind.”
You tried not to think about the ethical and legal implications of going through your customer’s stuff. Arguing probably wouldn’t help you in this case.
He pulled out a pair of high waisted flare jeans and a muted rainbow top. He offered them with one set of hands, while the others went to seal the boxes back up.
Dang, multitasking to the extreme.
You gratefully accepted the clothes. “You sure this is okay…?”
He gave you a caring smile, dismissing your concern, “Go get washed up.”
You bowed your head in thanks, padding your way to the bathroom.
**
A shower will help you feel human again in this insane puppet world.
Turning on the faucet, hot steam clouded the tiny washroom. Dipping into the warm waters, you felt your woes and worries wash down the drain.
Your mind wandered to Howdy. He sure helped you a lot. His generosity knows no bounds. Maybe you should help him in some way? Maybe pay back your debt by cleaning up the bodega a bit?
Yeah, that sounds good. It must be hard being the only worker.
You stepped out of the shower, wrapping a spare towel around your body. You swiped a hand across the clouded mirror, giving a good look at yourself.
That husk of a human from last night looked more alive. Colour was back in your face, and the fine lines around your eyes seemed to have lightened.
Those retinol treatments you were doing probably helped a lot with your complexion.
Despite everything, you’re still you!
Tossing on the retro styled clothes, you embarked on the new day.
**
”What can I do to help?”
“Really, you don’t need to do anything.”
You released a stubborn sigh, arms folding across your chest. You stared at the bug man from across the counter. “I really want to help you, Howdy. I want to help pay off my debt.”
The salesman weighed the options. He gave a resigned sigh. “Alright, but you have to follow the price guides of the bodega!”
You quirked a brow. “Price guides?”
He gestured to the ‘100% off!’ sign on the window pane.
Your brows furrowed as you scoffed. “How does that even work?”
“Well, people pay in jokes, ideas, or observations!” He then pointed to an apple display adjacent to the front counter. A sign on it read ‘1 Apple for 1 Joke’.
There’s no way these silly Muppets live in capitalism-free town. “How does commerce even work, then? How do you pay for goods being imported to your shop?”
Howdy put a finger up to his lips as he smirked. “Trade secrets! Maybe you’ll find out some day, young Grasshopper!”
You released a defeated huff.
“Besides, there’s more to life then pointless currency. Sometimes the most valuable things are your friend’s company and wise words!”
They really did live in a commune. In a sense, you envied them.
The morning tolled on, and he instructed little things on how he ran the bodega. You helped by stocking some shelves and sweeping the floors. Before you knew it, it was midday.
The door chimed as a pair of customers sauntered in. Your breath hitched as you saw a 7 foot, bumbling blue dog plod through the doorway. You were tempted to hide behind a shelf,… that is, until your eyes landed on the shorter man walking behind him.
A smile stretched across your face, “Hello, Wally!”
The cardigan-clad puppet gave you an all-encompassing grin, “Hello, neighbour!”
“Oh, is this the kid you were talking about?” the dog rumbled in a deep baritone.
Your skin prickled at the term ‘kid.’ You were quite obviously not a kid.
Wally regarded the towering puppet with a nod. The giant mockBlue’s Clues character offered a wave, “Welcome to Home! The next Big City this side of the forest! I’m Barnaby, by the way.”
You assuaged the temporary anger and introduced yourself with a little wave. Howdy, who was behind the front counter, called out to the new patrons. “What can I get for you fellas?”
Barnaby put up two fingers, “Two hot dogs, please!”
“Two dogs wrapped in yellow and red bow ties, with all the fixin's, comin’ right up!” The caterpillar’s limbs went to work as he swiveled around to the hot dog machine. He loaded the dogs up with whipped cream, onions, ketchup, mustard, and a cherry.
Imagining the taste made you shiver.
He offered the food to the pair, while another set of hands punched in the order on the cash register. “And how will you be paying today?”
Barnaby gave a smug smile. “Why did the baby cookie cry?”
A pause.
“Its mother was a wafer so long.”
Howdy erupted in a boisterous laugh, one of his hands going down to slap his knee. Even you smirked at the atrocious dad joke. He rubbed a tear away from his eye as he regarded Wally. “And how about you?”
Wally gave his signature hum as he rolled his head to the side. “What do you call an insect who can’t get out of bed?”
You peered at him expectantly.
“A bedbug!”
Howdy offered a sympathetic chuckle, the joke not landing as hard as Barnaby’s. He punched the jokes on the register, the receipt screeching out as it was printed.
“You tried, fella,” Barnaby put a big paw on Wally’s shoulder.
“Can’t top the town jokester, after all,” the smaller puppet winked up at his friend and they both chuckled.
With hot dogs in hand, they started to make their way out. As Barnaby ducked out of of the tiny doorframe, Wally stood in place for a moment.
It felt like minutes pass until he finally regards you. “Would you like to come with us? We can introduce you to the rest of the neighbours.”
You bit the inside of your cheek as you considered. You still felt guilty about not paying back all of what Howdy has done for you.
“Go meet everyone, Grasshopper,” the voice next to you pulled you out of your thoughts, the new nickname cooling any form of anxiety that you harnessed. “You can’t figure out how to get out of here without friends, right?”
You offered Howdy a kind smile. “Thanks.”
He shooed you off with your new friend, allowing you to step free into the rainbow world of Home.
Wally and you caught up to Barnaby, who was happily snacking on his treat.
**
The three of you trekked throughout the colour radiant town, making pit stops in front of each of the townsfolk’s homes.
The first person you all ran into was the mailman, Eddie. He curtly greeted himself, but just as quickly excused himself to get back to work.
You watched him run off into the distance before regarding your friends. “You reckon he’d know the roads out of here?”
Wally tilted his head as he observed you, still just casually holding his hot dog. “I think his route takes him further from the City.”
You gave a sad, thoughtful hum before Wally and Barnaby, the persuasive of friends, convinced you to meet with every one of the neighbours.
Poppy, who lived in a barn, was elated to see you again. She gave praises and crooned over how you were a ‘poor lost duckling.’ She vowed to cook for you if you ever needed food for the trip.
The next new person was a literal star who lived in a theatre. Sally was an eccentric puppet who was working on a set for an upcoming play. When you spoke to her about your story, you can tell she was taking internal notes. Please, Sally, don’t make your lost voyage into a Shakespearean tragedy.
Julie was as excited as ever to see you again. She complimented your outfit, stating that it looks ‘oddly familiar.’ Hm. You wonder why. She offered if you needed anymore clothes, she’s always willing to play dress up.
Frank was out in his lawn, taking notes on a butterfly perched on a flower. You all decided not to bother him. Butterfly watching seemed stressful, as is.
Now you all stood in front of Barnaby’s doghouse. He was hungrily staring at Wally’s hot dog, who, to your humour, was carrying the snack around like it was a show and tell specimen.
“You going to finish that, buddy?” Barnaby rumbled.
Wally shook his head and offered the undisturbed snack to his friend. The dog practically wolfed the food down in a blink.
The yellow puppet clapped his hands to get the remaining crumbs off his palms while Barnaby wiped the remnants on his own forearm.
“I think this is a wonderful day to sun bathe,” Barnaby started before dipping into his yard. “You guys comin’?”
Wally hummed at the offer before shaking his head politely, “I still need to show them Home.”
Barnaby gave a carefree shrug, “Suit yourself. Y’know where to find me.” With that, he sauntered into his littered yard and found a nice batch of grass to plop down on.
You regarded Wally with a quirked brow, “’Home’? Isn’t that just the town name?”
He tutted with a tiny smirk, “Silly, silly.” He didn’t explain, instead marched up the hill to the centre of town. A red house sat on the crest, it’s windows watching you.
Wait… watching?
You stumbled back as you stifled a yelp, the giant windows blinking at your reaction. You tried to scramble behind the short puppet man.
He simply shook his head with a chuckle. He gestures to the sentient house, “This is Home! This is where I live!”
Home made some thumping noises in greeting.
You sucked in a breath as you watched in horror. Your hand came up to grasp your forehead. “Okay, I finally accepted puppets. Houses now? I must be dead. There’s no way this is real.”
“If you’re dead,” Wally looked back at you with sleepy eyes, voice nonchalant, “then this must be heaven!”
You swallowed thickly, not sure how to process his words. You sucked in another big breath to calm your trembling body and forced a weak wave at Home.
Home waved its shutters in greeting.
Well… it’s not trying to eat you like Monster House. Maybe it really isn’t that bad?
Wally broke his barrier between you and Home, making you feel exposed and vulnerable. He maneuvered his way to an easel that sat just outside his home. He placidly began to pack up the art supplies that was left outside. A half painted picture of an apple lay on the canvas, probably abandoned this morning as he opted to hang with Barnaby.
The tension you held in your shoulders ease as you watch his easygoing pace.
There really is a charm about him that can ease your worries.
He briefly glanced back to catch you staring, a soft smile gracing his plush lips. “Penny for your thoughts?”
A blush shot to your face as you looked away, embarrassed. Your heart hammered as you focused on anything but him. You cleared your throat as a thought began tumbling out, “It’s nice here, but I’m wondering if… maybe you have any suggestions on how to leave?”
Wally noticeably tenses. He was quiet for a few beats, his lazy eyes never leaving yours. “I suppose I can paint you a map! But…”
He paused, his expression softening, tone becoming more sympathetic. “It must have been pretty serious for you to get lost like you did. Do you really want to go back? You wouldn’t be a burden here in Home! You’re always welcome.”
It felt like time stood still as his words washed over you.
There was a heaviness to it all, something akin to scratching at a mental scab. A truth that you didn’t want to uncover the band aid of.
You stood in silence as you mulled over the implications.
He watched you as your thoughts clouded your features. He observed the storm in your brain get cloudier before deciding to intervene. He extended a hand out to caress your arm, the felt touch anchoring you back to reality. His voice was low and pleasant, “Take your time. It’s a big decision, and there’s no need to rush. I’ll be here for you if you need it.”
The pressure from your jaw released, the tension that built up now toppled like building blocks.
He really was a good person.
“Thank you, Wally.”
He only offered a cute feline-like smile. **
It wasn’t long before the sky became a vibrant array of pinks and blues. The sun was settling just over the horizon as you and Wally decided to part from each other.
You made your way back to Howdy’s Place, giving the caterpillar a quiet greeting. He was starting to close up shop, and you decided to help him - much to his dismay.
With the two of you, the shop was closed and cleaned in record time.
He wiped the sweat off his brow, his face bearing a proud smile. “You really help a lot, young grasshopper.”
You shrugged. “It’s the least I can do.”
He shook his head with a chuckle. “You should eat some food. I think I have a spare salad in the back.”
You blinked at the thought of eating. Come to think of it, you didn’t feel hungry at all today.
How strange.
You decided to chock it up to stress from a new environment.
You thanked him for his generosity before wishing him a good night. You dipped into the backroom to locate the fresh greens. Chomping on the leaves, your mind wandered to the day.
The day felt… nice. Almost surreal.
You almost felt like you belonged.
But… you really should head home.
… Right … ?

Suo’s Team:
Mienshao (Partner Pokemon)
Dragonair
Mawile
Vulpix
Plusle
Suo’s another rookie taking on the Gym Challenge in the same year as Sakura, and his party is (I think) a pretty good reflection of who he is as a person. Or, anyway, who he wants people to think he is. (With the exception of Plusle but we’ll get to that in a moment)
Mienshao as his partner pokemon hit me like a slap in the face, not gonna lie. Like, it was the first concrete thing I had for him and the image of them pulling matching fighting poses would not leave my mind. So it had to happen. And if you can look me in the eye and tell me they weren’t made for each other — then we’ll duel at dawn, I guess. Bring your switch and we can go at each other in Sword/Shield.
The rest of the team is what prompted some enterprising magazine to dub him “Most Elegant Rookie,” with each one more beautiful and stylish than the last. He’s likely not interested in evolving his Dragonair at this point, and Dragonair’s more than fine with that. It gets around fine whether it’s on land, in the water, or in the air. Mawile’s a charming addition with a very literal “hidden side” so you know I had fun giving it to Suo. Vulpix is the little princess of the team, and the one Nirei dotes on the most. You can usually find it on Suo’s shoulder or cuddled in Nirei’s arms, or poking out of one of their backpacks as they travel together. It’s Suo’s youngest Pokemon, having hatched from an egg (which he obtained from winning a contest he chose to join on a whim) fairly recently.
Plusle is a match to Nirei’s Minun! They caught them together on one of Nirei’s research expeditions he asked Suo to join him on, and on the rare occasions they double battle with another set of trainers, Suo always brings his Plusle out so they can support one another. Y’know, the whole hand clapping deal, because it’s cute as fuck and was the second suo-related thing I couldn’t get out of my head.

7,12 and 16 from the video game ask!
7) A series you’ve lost interest in
Pokemon, at least in playing it myself. Nowadays I just watch Chuggaaconroy's let's plays online and laugh at the current state of the franchise.

pokemon x fe3h golden deer
Many people associate Claude with deer but if you play VW and GW you find that birds and dragons suit him better. I was considering a poison type as well since Claude is associated with poisons and would use the status and tricks poison pokemon are known for. Grass was also considered for the associations of Verdant Wind. It came down to Noivern and Decidueye and Decideye was chosen for the archer imagery as well as being a plant bird.
Lorenz loves roses and wants to appear a classy elegant noble so Roserade fits him.
Raphael I wasn't sure, I almost went machamp but that felt plain, I liked the idea of a fighting type for him although a bulky pokemon would have also worked like wailord.
Ignatz was also hard I eventually went with smolive for part 1 Ignatz because I thought gentle grass types were a good match for him, smolive is small and nervous like part 1 Ignatz and its green.
For Lysithea I was torn between a sweet themes pokemon and whatever had a massive base special attack. I did eventually choose the cake pokemon which also has good special attack.
I was looking for a ghost or water pokemon for Marianne, something elegant but also with a dark atmosphere.
Hilda is cute but will wreck you. I was initially looking for a fairy type for her but bewear was too good, its pink, cute, and will crush you to death just like Hilda.
I had trouble with Leonie, no pokemon really seemed to fit, I considered electric pokemon but none seemed to really fit. I chose talonflame because it was bold and swift like her. I liked the idea of flying pokemon with Leonie too so Pidgeot was the runner up.

Meet Busheep, the Grass type Bush Pokémon. Busheep are curious Pokémon that live deep in verdant woods. They rarely interact with humans and thus, when they see one, they will go up to them to investigate. The berries grown on the foliage covering their bodies is said to be sweet and nutricious.
Busheep evolves into the Berry Bearing Pokémon, Berreepush. These Pokémon are very timid, spending most of their time alone tending to their personal gardens in the foests they inhabit. When confronted, they will strike their opponent with their hard horns before retreating back into isolation.
Berreepush evolve into the Grass/Fairy Type Bountiful Pokémon: Berramyth! Berramyth are jolly and mischievious Pokémon that live in secluded grottos away from civilization where they plant berry trees. It is said that songs they play with the wind instrument on their wrists help plants grow. They graciously bestow these berries to smaller Pokemon. Berries grown by Berramyth are said to be delicious and nutritious, however, if a human tries to sneak into Berramyth's orchards they will be victims of its wrath and pranks. The berries Berramyth wields in battle have the remarkable ability to explode on contact.
Abilities: Overgrow / Harvest (HA)
Signature Move: Berry Bomb - Grass Type (Physical) 150 BP Uses up the holder's berry.

Note
BTW I tried clarifying a bit on the latest FGO update. On another note what do you think about Three Houses from a story standpoint? I honestly felt like it was carried entirely by the characters themselves being engaging apart from one route I liked.
Yeah, looking back on Crimson Flower and Verdant Wind- it was definitely a 'character drama' kind of deal. I can remember the supports well enough and how the time skip affected everyone. I cannot remember for the life of me what the fuck the actual plot of the routes were.
I remember specifically trying to kill Dedue before he could transform to spare Dimitri as much pain as possible. And Hubert being a badass from beyond the grave in Verdant Wind. Beyond that and Nemesis- I don't remember shit.
Kind of reminds me of Pokemon Scarlet to be honest (outside of the Titans and the final route). Not an insult because I think an intricate plot might not work when your cast is all likely to die at any moment. But the characters ARE the main appeal.

Dear Candy Hearts Creator,
I am WalkingthePlankonaSinkingShip on AO3. Thank you so much for creating for me! I’m sure I’ll love whatever you come up with!
General Likes:
AUs (pirates, fairytale, Pokemon trainers, and reincarnation are personal favorites)
Hurt/Comfort
Fake dating
Mutual pining
Angst with a happy ending
Mild or implied NSFW
Do Not Want/DNWs:
Ship or character bashing
Incest
MCD (aside from the canon ACOC and RWBY deaths)
Explicit NSFW
RWBY
Blake/Sun, Ren/Nora, and Jaune/Pyrrha
An exploration of how they feel after the fall of Beacon would be interesting. Particularly Jaune grieving Pyrrha and using his emotions to drive him to be a better huntsman.
Ren and Nora looking back on their childhood together in a childhood friends to lovers situation is adorable.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Caspar/Ashe/Linhardt, Caspar/Linhardt, Caspar/Ashe, Lorenz/Leonie, Dorothea/Ingrid, and Dimitri/Sylvain
Azure Moon and Verdant Wind are my favorite paths, but I do enjoy Crimson Flower. Please no Silver Snow. Mentions of Rhea and Catherine in passing are fine, but please don’t have them as major characters. Please stick to Three Houses canon, I haven’t played Three Hopes yet but would like to when I get the time.
Seeing their first meeting once everyone gets back to the monastery is always cool.
Lorenz and Leonie learn over time that they aren’t as different as they once thought.
Glimpses of clarity from Feral Dimitri where Sylvain can see that his old friend is still there.
Dimension 20
ACOC:
Saccharina & Ruby, Liam & Ruby, and Liam & Jet & Ruby
Any exploration into the feelings of grief after Lapin, Preston, or Jet’s deaths are super welcome.
Ruby and Saccharina trying to build a bond as Saccharina gets a crash course in how to run Castle Candy.
Coffin Run:
Drago/Wetzel
What the hell happens during the long walk from Transylvania to Cairo?
Fantasy High:
Gilear & the Bad Kids
Gilear putting up with any and all Bad Kids shenanigans is god tier content.
Pokemon Sword/Shield Video Games
Raihan/Piers and Leon/Sonia
I haven’t watched the anime since gen 1 and don’t intend to start any time soon. References/spoilers for the anime are fine, but I won’t understand specific references unless they’re from the games.
I LOVE the idea of looking back on either pair when they were Hop and Gloria/Victor’s age challenging the gyms themselves. Or either pair navigating both a new relationship while also going through the major changes they see at the end of the game (Piers leaving the gym to Marnie to focus on his music, Sonia becoming the professor, etc.).
