Danny as Fenton takes a hit that no human boy should survive while in a different city (im going crossover here) and just transforms into phantom and pretends to be all sad that he died. Just for a moment. He then proceeds to kick the baddies ass. Claims he got ghost powers and fucks off. Imagine if Captain America or Batman saw this while failing ti protect him, hell or any hero type. Danny doesn’t think much on it and just goes on with his week. Continues being Fenton of course but what if he runs into whatever hero, but out if costume, saw him do that.

He just shrugs it off and goes about his day. It isn’t until he finally gets some sleep later that night that he wakes up in a cold sweat realising he now knows their secret identity. “Oh well it’s neat I guess” starts to go back to sleep only to bolt back up “oh god now they know my secret identity”

Meanwhile said hero is too busy trying to figure out how to help this random kid to even be worried about the fact that they outed themselves. Someone else probably points it out to them and has to explain it twice before it gets thru.

i just think it's sooo interesting how every time someone needed to be the butt of a joke that subtly othered them within a group of masculine men or to get sensually pinned down and/or tied up or otherwise emasculated by a villain (almost always morgana which is also very telling) it was always closeted gay metaphor the titular merlin™️ or known arthurian bisexual g(a)waine. they really don't do homophobia like that anymore these days. which is probably for the best but when you add everything up it sure does paint an interesting picture of transgressive masculinity (and femininity in morgana's case)

Yk it really bothers me when I see people talking about eurylochus and the crew like they were the problem. It just feels like everyone is just missing the point. Yes they stopped listening to ody, yes eurylochus opened the wind bag, but that's what makes them so human.

Picture this, you leave your home to fight in a war. It takes literal years for this war to be over. You've lost friends, you miss your family, you've been through hell. You're starving and your captain tells you they found food on this island.

And then the cyclops happens. More friends die, you barely escape with your life, and your captain gives his name to the creature that killed your friends.

And everything after that is a direct cause of that decision.

So you hesitate to trust him. Yes he's smart, he's capable, he always has a plan. But he would do anything to get home, and you know that. So when he comes back to the ship claiming to have a bag full of wind, and when he refuses to let anyone near, refuses to trust his own crew, you get suspicious.

Its been about a decade by this point, and your captain seems to get more and more desperate to get home. A god is after you. Odysseus is forcing himself to stay away, all to make sure nobody touches that bag.

Its human, it's realistic, it makes sense that someone would open the bag. Because odysseus stopped trusting you, and so you stop trusting him. So you open the bag.

I just find it frustrating that people look at the crew/eurylochus as bad guys because of this, as pawns for ody to get home and thats it. The point of the show is that ody has become a monster, has dealt with and left behind his humanity. We, as listeners, root for him. We give him grace because of his circumstances. Because he's the main character.

But for some reason, people don't give that same grace to the crew. They're human, their circumstances are awful too. They have no idea if they will get home, they aren't sure then can trust their captain anymore. They question things. They make mistakes. They cause the deaths of others. It's human, its that feeling you get when you think that maybe hope is lost after all, it's what this story is about. Mistakes and loss and blame.

People dislike Eurylochus because he opened the bag. But odysseus gave the cyclops his name. And polites trusted the lotus eaters. And Athena told odysseus to be cruel to a fault. Nobody here is innocent, not really. And none of them knew better either. They were working with what they had, with the terrible circumstances at hand. It's no wonder they made mistakes. It's no wonder people died.

Why are we ignoring the humanity of the crew? Why are we arguing that they, or that eurylochus, deserved it? If the story was about them, odysseus would be seen as the bad guy. But he's the main character, so the others are stupid and wrong, right? All that matters is that odysseus gets home, right? Even if it costs the lives of his crew. His crew who stopped trusting him when he stopped trusting them. His crew who he sacrificed to get home.

I think we're missing the point here. Odysseus did become a monster, and although we cheer for him getting home and Penelope and Telemachus forgive him, we have to acknowledge that he did do terrible things. Those men will never see their families again. Why are we erasing that humanity in them?

Humans do bad things for the sake of saving themselves or the ones they love. That includes Odysseus. That includes Eurylochus. That includes the crew. And that includes every other character in this musical.

The idea of the boys still being the same under the curse but just misconstruing everything is so painful. You mentioned before that part of Leo was horrified at hitting him, how Raph cried when killing him. I’m just like, imagining how angry they always got whenever he cried or went nonverbal. Leo often describe the feeling of the curse as feeling like a kind of “getting even” situation. Imagining the agony of seeing his baby twin cry and beg, feeling that horrible twist in his gut, and thinking “This is what I’m getting even for. How dare you make me feel this way.” Leo knowing those feelings are caused by Donnie and the way that he’s acting, but that’s where his perception ends. Donnie is doing this to him. And under the curse, he forgot the only reason he felt so pained with every little sob is that he loved him. And eventually all Donnie does is cry, and all Leo wants to do is make him pay for that.

:') the fact that this is the first time leo hit him and this is the first thing he thinks. the way that he quickly recontextualizes the HORROR he felt hitting him as anger because this didn't magically get rid of his empathy. i dont think leo is a super high empathy person but he cares so much about donnie that the sight of him in pain or distress still feels like a skewer through his heart. its not unlike the moment where raph stops himself from hurting him after breaking shelldon tbh

it makes "its like i cant even recognize you anymore" even more of a gut punch because its kind of meant to communicate that like,,, there is a moment where leo's actual care for him shines through and he thinks that he wouldn't have actually hurt the donnie he thought he lost. up to this point he's been rationalizing things by telling himself that donnie's always being shitty and he just put up with him, but this is a moment where the "truth" he's been avoiding really surfaces. but donnie is different now, he's a complete shell of himself, so it creates a feedback loop where leo can continue to convince himself that he's still deserving of retribution.

calling it a "victim complex",, treating it like he's guilt tripping to get himself out of trouble. saying he's spinning stories, using his fearful shouting to act like he's hysterical. its all just the ways they rationalize it to themselves because they still do hurt to see him upset. its funny that their logic requires him to be both uncontrollable and intentional, but such is the nature of irrational hatred.

i also think about leo's shitty aborted "apology" through text after he screams at him, acknowledging that it's a boundary he's crossed and saying he's not feeling like himself ,,,, leo was so casual about it and donnie was too upset to notice but. he knew for a moment there. man :')

sorry but im actually really hoping that sofia doesn’t return in season 5. ik people would go off their heads and everything but i genuinely think that season four should be the last we see of her i mean she came out of no where and it feels like they started to rebuild rafes character around just for the sole purpose of him having a love interest (hello kiara is right there and has been from the start😅😅😅) it is SOO forced i genuinely cannot with any scenes of them like for one she is far too nice for him and she doesn’t fit his real character whatsoever. ignore that im mega biased and just want rafe and kiara but i think now he has sarah back in his life hopefully they get rid of the whole idea that sofia was the only person to show him love and just let her go

funniest answer for "what happened during Jason's fight with Krios" is, rather than Jason having a physical one-on-one unarmed fight with Krios, Jason just tears Krios a new one re: legislation by chewing him out for unauthorized activity in a state park. Because one of Jupiter's big aspects is law!

Jason sends the entirety of the Titan Army forces in California marching out of Mt. Tam State Park with their tails between their legs with one strongly worded argument and some threats to inform San Francisco Fish & Wildlife. And he gets made praetor for it.
