I too am disappointed that we didn't get a big full-on pillow fight. 😔 but he DOES battle by throwing his pillow, so at least we get some cushion action in there!

it looks like this round of birthday cards aren't going to be interviews/conversations, at least not for most of it -- the first part was Jamil talking to Ortho (who he duos with) about what his dormmates are doing for his birthday (they're setting up a surprise party/parade (because Kalim) but they're doing an extremely bad job of it and he's having to go around making sure that they don't screw it up) (being Jamil is suffering). second part was Jamil talking to his (unvoiced mob) roommate and answering Crowley's School Improvement Survey (he wants bigger bathrooms) (also a fridge in his room) (actually, make that a whole kitchen) (but mostly bigger bathrooms). then third part was his ~morning routine~, aka talking to himself about his hair and makeup, as one does in a visual novel. it's less cohesive than the previous birthday stories, but it's all pretty chill and there's some fun stuff in there! (Najma sent him hair stuff for his birthday that's way too fancy and he can't decide if she did it to annoy him or not. truly, being Jamil is indeed suffering.)

if all the cards are going to be about nightly/morning routine though, we're going to absolutely melt when we get to Vil, brace yourselves

The Council of Optimuses: Pleasant, generally positive, they exiled Bayverse a while ago but they still check in once in a while to make sure he's ok/out of curiosity, Earthspark enables One's 'I can fix him' delusion to the point that Prime is falling into it too, IDW does NOT want to add to the delusion pile so he shuts up, Cyberverse kinda doesn't want to be at this meeting it feels too much like a party, IDW keeps making calls to somebody but he won't tell anyone who, they used to have 'bring your Bumblebee to work day' but Skybound had a breakdown over it so they can't do that anymore, everybody is suspicious of Skybound's new arm but the only person who actually brought it up was Bayverse whose solution was 'kill him' so now everybody thinks they are getting paranoid and should maybe start seeing a therapist (they should start seeing therapists, but they ARE right about the arm).

The Council of Megatrons: They are having a great time even if it looks horrible from the outside looking in, Prime constantly wants to fight IDW for his spot as the strongest Megatron but IDW is not about that, they tried to kick out Earthspark but he somehow keeps getting in (IDW leaves the door open), One has like 5 devils on his shoulder telling him to escalate and two fallen angels who are desperately trying to get across that maybe total destruction isn't the move, IDW is trying to hide his redemption arc in order to keep the situation under control (only Earthspark is aware of it, though Skybound has his suspicions), Cyberverse always tries to kill the others to take over their universes and it's the highlight of everybody's month, Bayverse is mocked for being killed by Optimus but secretly everybody is kinda jealous about it (Prime especially), one time an unidentified Starscream (it was Animated) broke in and it was on sight (he got away because every Megatron wanted to be the one who killed him and they fought each other over it), IDW keeps taking calls from somebody but he won't tell anyone who, Skybound can listen in on his Optimus's meetings due to being his arm and reports back, there is an ongoing debate about whether Galvatrons should be included.

The GIW have found out about Danny being half ghost. However, due to the dangers of getting caught Danny has a plan.

Danny some time beforehand manages to successfully figure out how to duplicate himself. Each one is just as strong as the others and the last duplicate remaining becomes the real Danny. Any duplicate the disappears will have all its memories return to the other copies.

The plan is simple: the Dannys all split up and set themselves up in different parts of the world, far away from one another. Should one get caught, it will simply vanish before the GIW can do any serious and traumatizing damage. Plus, Danny won't have to try and build another life for himself should he need to abandon one.

However, what Danny didn't consider is the fact that the copies don't have any kind of mental connection aside from when their memories are redistributed. They also don't keep in contact, as that would defeat the purpose of having them split up.

When the various superheroes around the globe find a child with incredible power who is all alone, they tend to try to help them. And since Danny doesn't want the GIW to find him, he tends to pick a different hero name than Phantom.

Needless to say, its a very interesting meeting at the Watchtower when they belatedly discover that several new heroes that had were being mentored by several heroes were all the same person.

Thinking about how different Ben acts in "It's A Mad, Mad Ben World" once he's separated from Rook + his own dimension.

Initially, Ben is relaxed and his normal, joking self. He opens the episode playing video games. He takes the piss out of himself a bit. He's not in a hurry to get to the crime scene, really, or even to give chase — not in so much of a hurry that he can't joke around with Rook and Ben 23 a bit, anyway.

But once in Mad Ben's dimension, Ben's tune changes drastically. He gets much more serious, taking charge not only of Ben 23, but also taking responsibility for the sorry state of this world as a whole.

He's very upfront the whole time about wanting to help people, even if it "blows his cover."

When one of the exhausted slaves is denied water, Ben doesn't let the chains or the lack of Omnitrix stop him from trying to help.

"You'd be surprised what I can do."

"Hey, Rook. In my world, we're partners. You're one of the most decent guys I know. Look around — you're on the wrong side here."

"We're not going anywhere yet. We need to fix the mess Warlord-Me has made of this world. Grandpa Max taught me to always leave a camp site cleaner than you found it."

(Interesting to note here that Ben brings up Grandpa Max's camping lessons from when he was younger, presumably something that Ben 23 has also experienced. He's calling on Max's wisdom for himself, yes, but also for Ben 23's benefit, because Ben is supposed to be teaching him about being a hero, and he takes that job very seriously.)

And then when Ben gets back to the dig site, instead of immediately hunting down his evil-self, the first thing that he does is give water to the dehydrated slaves working away in the desert.

He rallies the ex-slaves to fight, and ends up taking down Mad Ben almost singlehandedly. He leaves these people with some hope, and props Rook up as a leader for them.

After all of that, what's Ben 23's take away?

"I'm only worthy of my hero-watch when I'm making other people's lives better. There's a lot riding on what we do, and we better not blow it."

An admirable lesson/sentiment, to be sure.

But now that Ben is in front of Rook again?

"I was going for 'no chewing on Azmuth,' but this is better. Can I mentor or what?"

Mask back on. Business as usual.

The interpretation of Rise Raph as a 'perfect responsible soft boy uwu' is so BORING I'm sorry, Raph is a rowdy adrenaline junkie with anxiety and I won't take this slander any longer

Raph secretly kept an enemy soldier in their actual literal house as a sparring partner. Raph glued his brothers together and dragged them out to fight crime. Raph once asked Leo to punch him in the face to prove he 'takes damage like a boss.' Raph tried to lift a school bus, twice. Raph offered to help his favorite wrestler beat his little brother up. When Leo suggests evacuating Bullhop, Raph says no bc the best defense is a good offense babey. Raph's idea of a 'friendly chat' with April's upstairs neighbor is to put on a black ski mask and go stand menacingly at their door. It takes Raph 10 episodes to conclude that they should MAYBE start training. Raph's plan to get a potentially priceless (and potentially FRAGILE) museum artifact is to punch a car in the middle of a busy street and also cut it in half with his brother still inside.

Raph's never met a problem he wouldn't try to punch in the face and does not know the meaning of the words 'excessive force.' He roughhouses with his bros and drags them out to fight villains and thinks any plan that doesn't involve an all-out brawl is boring and lame. He'll do anything to protect his family from harm and be a hero, but also he eats wet salami off the floor and once single-handedly destroyed a library.

I just adore how, at his core, Rise Raph is such a classic Raph—impulsive and stubborn and caring and passionate. He is a very sweet, strong, honorable guy who has a very powerful sense of personal responsibility... and he is also the exact kind of jock who throws you in the pool at a party without checking if you have your phone in your pocket first.

It always struck me as kind of funny to imagine Turaga Dume wandering around an abandoned and decrepit Metru Nui like WALL-E, slowly repairing the city bit by bit. Particularly because the noble Kiril isn't as effective as the great version, and given the Matoran had to help reuild when they got back, I imagine he didn't get all that far even in 1000 years (in his defence it is an entire city).

But yeah, Dume by himself on Metru Nui with the Rahaga and Keetongu is such a weird thing. Being stuck in an abandoned city with 6 half-animal old people and a giant orange animal thing for 1000 years and having nothing better to do than tidy things up a bit. I like to think he did a bit of soul-searching in that time.

i feel that so many people seem to take the basis of naruto and sasukes characterization and switch them…. i see too many people infer naruto is made of happiness and love while sasuke of hate and anger but i have always seen naruto as a character that is full of hatred and anger and he has to let go of that with the love of others. sasuke as a character is so full of love yet he has to follow that through with grief and anger and learn to bear others hatred.

naruto never really had the heaviness of love in his heart until he went through the process of controlling kuramas chakra and had to confront the hatred inside him. frankly it says it blatantly that he had always held hatred in his heart for the situation he was forced into and the way the village treated him because of it, until he was able to accept and move past that hatred and have love for kurama and his dad and the people of his village. so i genuinely don’t understand where this notion that naruto is just pure sunshine and happiness came from. sasukes whole story starts out with wanting revenge on his brother because he loves his family and his clan so much. it’s a constant clear notion that he hurts so bad from his brother’s betrayal because he loved his brother, and that his rage against konoha is because he loved his clan that konoha sanctioned a genocide of. it’s constantly stated that the uchiha hold intense love in their hearts.

it’s sasukes connection with the people around him that formed his love where it’s the lack of that connection that formed narutos hate…. the way they expressed their emotions is very different because they’re both in insanely different scenarios no matter how much they understand the others pain. narutos hatred makes him want to finally receive the love that the village never gave him, but sasukes love makes him want the village to experience the pain that they inflicted upon him and his clan… maybe sasuke expresses his love more negatively and maybe naruto expresses his hate more positively, but that doesn’t change the fact that sasukes actions came from a place of love and narutos actions came from hate. they just needed each other to balance the other out….

😭 joe probably didn't scream like idk it was probably like when he was yelling loud about that bug in his mouth but more serious idk. but ja'marr, babyyyy ja'marr who was like 19?? a sophomore!! who was still learning how to navigate life while being in such a spotlight!! probably had some reservations on how he interacts with joe the first few years of being together yk?? i've never actually watched their lsu games lmao just compilations of their highlights but the screenshots of joe's faceee during the ole miss game and the recounts of him being weirdly pissy that game is so 😭😭 like my guy what goes onnnn ja'marr probably had his hackles up in response to joe's hackles being up. ergo saying joe 'screamed'.

hearing ja'marr's recount on how joe touched him (🥰) and told him he won't throw him the ball at all (😔) and then looking down dejected as hell saying 'okay' and taking it off like JOE IS A BULLY??????? /joking ofc but wowww ja'marr was just COLD 😭 and joe told him to suck it up basically or he won't be playing 😭😭 god what the hell is wrong with these two. joe being his star qb and senior etc ja'marr couldn't even defend himself!! his little face when he said 'i was like okay'?? cuteeeeeee had a brief urge to fight joe burrow for an event years ago that was probably not as dramatic as ja'marr made it seem lmao.

It is well known that erza has always been a stickler for rules especially early on, HOWEVER I feel that this is a slight misconception as it implies she's a stickler for ALL rules.

In reality, erza is only serious about the rules set in place by master Makarov. If it directly affects the guild or her friends she cares, when it comes to actual laws though? Man fuck that.

Genuinely I don't think ANYONE in fairy tail has less respect for the government then erza does and the reason for that is simple, internal corruption of it is a massive part of why the tower of heaven stayed active for so long. She'll go along with their rules as long as it affects the guild because she's aware they hold the power to disband them or get Makarov in trouble, but as soon as they don't all bets are off and someone is gonna get arrested.
