take my opinion with a grain of salt, but because grian keeps referring to a very obvious river as the ocean, the hermits have their thing this season of making their own terrain, and gem has been slowly whittling away at the landscape to widen the river and plans on making a bay, i think it'd be very interesting as a concept lorewise that the ocean is coming to them. no, it's not the ocean, but it will be.
