I think some of youse need to start being more careful of the way you address historical cannibalism in indigenous communities. there's so many posts talking about how it was wrongly assumed that xyz group practiced cannibalism, which is good! correct those assumptions, make sure everyone gets it right!! but the way it's discussed often pushes aside the fact that some of us DID eat people as a part of our cultural practices. these posts will be going around talking about "cannibalism is barbaric, i cant believe people thought X group did that" and totally blindsiding the many of us who did do that, up until not that long ago in the case of my tūpuna. it was an aspect of our culture that should be acknowledged, and whether you agree with it or not, calling those practices disgusting, barbaric, etc is blatantly racist
