"...Hello? Ma! I told you not to call me today, I'm making a movie!"
-Wario, Mario Power Tennis
The most important lesson from Ma that Wario took to heart was the endless pursuit of cold, hard cash. Unfortunately, the one lesson she could never teach him was the importance of hard work to get it. It wasn't for lack of trying; Wario's Ma is the hardest worker this side of the Mushroom Kingdom. Raising Baby Wario was a herculean enough task on its own, but ever the enterprising spirit, she had also set out to grow one of the most profitable crops: garlic.
Her backyard business quickly expanded into a veritable garlic empire. Wario's mother toiled away tirelessly each day from sunrise to sunset to grow and harvest as much garlic as she could possibly achieve. Much of Wario's current strength and endurance can be attributed to helping his mom on the farm as a child, although the teeth-pulling task of getting him to actually work was almost as difficult as preventing him from eating all the garlic straight out of the ground. Wario's nose for instant gratification has always been a thorn in his mother's side, but try as she might to instill a solid work ethic into the boy, her "get-rich-slow" schemes could never appeal to him. Still, Wario enjoyed his surprisingly agrarian upbringing. Along with garlic, his mother also raised chickens for eggs, inspiring in Wario a lifelong soft spot for poultry. (He also had a pet hamster named Fluffy, who sadly passed away in 1986.)
Today, Wario is still on good terms with his mother despite their physical distance, and frequent phone calls keep her updated on all of Wario's business successes. Of course, being Wario, he heavily embellishes the amount of work he actually does at his company. If she only knew...

I'm only halfway through it, will finish it...later. but my biggest gripe so far with Troy (2004) is how much they are butchering Menelaus. And not just by mispronouncing his name. He's portrayed as a cruel brute and I'm like bro. He does not deserve this treatment 😔
I understand some changes due to cultural shift and the nature of a different medium but. Why'd you gotta do Menelaus like that?

Are fading kits "real", (as in, clan beliefs surrounding them are true) or are they all just kits unfortunate enough to succumb to illnesses the cats aren't able to treat? (Which I assume is probably true of some of them, regardless of the answer)
They're really common in the universe, yeah. It's a fact of their species. Most cat religions will come up with some kind of explanation for them.
So it's both. Fading kits exist in all cat cultures in this universe, even for societies without an afterlife system. By virtue of the magical nature of belief, it is also true that Clan cats are correct and their fading kits are sometimes visiting spirits who brought the other souls down.
(Not always though)

Oh shit I just realized that Sir Pen is gonna learn that Alastor sold his soul. Cause I'm assuming that people who sold their souls look different then those who didn't. THAT'S gonna be a reaction. Or he's gonna assume "Eh, it's Al. Maybe that's just what it looks like normally."
How dare you look at my mental notes-
I imagine he'd be too scared to look at Alastor's soul at first because "what if he can tell I'm looking at his soul?? 😭😭"
And then he gets the balls to do it and just goes "HOLY SHIT YOU SOLD YOUR SOUL??" because y e a h, sold souls look quite distinct compared to souls who still belong to their mortal bodies! the chains may look different but they are still there nonetheless
Rip penne, you were a real one pfffff-

kevin is a biter of shoulders and arms and hands and fingers he just likes to chew on a little but jean is a face biter like he will grab kevin by the head and just chomp right on the cheek
this is because jean has the biter’s temperament while kevin is just autistic. kevin likes to nibble a little and jean happens to have big arms so biting down on his bicep feels a+ for the autistic individual, while jean enjoys biting because he thinks it’s funny when kevin starts whining. very very very different reasoning here. kevin enjoys chew toys and jean is experiencing what we the people call ‘predator instincts’
the other day i was doing something or other and i ended up reading somewhere that dogs like the sounds squeaky toys make because they resemble small animals and mimic the sounds they make when caught by predators. this too can be kevjean
