FINALLY FINISHED THE REF SHEET PLUS OTHER DRAWINGS YAAYYY okay so i had the ref sheet done basically two days ago BUT i wanted to draw some more because my ref sheets look so......just stand there kinda scary so MORE ART !!! also skip if you are seeing this when i say our mcs twin bro......we are so mind connected with the skeleton sweaters my lord when i logged on and saw that both step 2 designs had them..........my goodness..i think we might just be the same person....

I want to try and flesh out relationships and dynamics more i think thats something i kind of struggle with with ocs so..that is what the rest of this post will be backstory, character traits, etc etc if you chose to read i will love you forever

Step 1: Gosh...I love making characters really reeaaallllyyy awkward and that's exactly what Lenae is. Her awkwardness is really just stemming from anxiety or nervousness. Qiu and her's dynamic is so sweet to me I love characters being to nervous to say things and then another saysit for them omg im weak yeah thats so them. Lenae and Tam on the other hand....it's not like Lenae doesn't liker her she knows she means well and is extremely sweet but Lenae just can't understand why she is so loud and energetic all the time, she finds it hard to keep up. She IS the sweetest kid you would ever come across though, she will do anything to see you smile. Her earmuffs are a constant, everyone else may think it's just a comfort thing but it is in fact a noise thing we just don't know that yet guys(undiagnosed autism is craayyy)

Step 2: Still being that same shy, sweet kid while looking emo AND TRANSGENDER?? not for the weak. Still shy and reserved maybe even more so but no one really expects anything else. I think meek is a very good descriptor, they get freaked so so easily like has never had a peaceful day in their life. However, Halloween IS their favorite time of the year, it's an aesthetics thing i guess. If you pass by Lenae in the halls you would probably think that they were on their last few threads of patience by the sour look on their face but no, they could be having the best day of their life with that face on. They found it tiring to keep that placid smile on their face all the time when it wasn't always real. In this stage Lenae has definitely started expierimenting with different art mediums like dabbling in painting, poetry, music, you name it. Qiu and Lenae are still the bestest friends ever(bestest crushes ever???) and it's actually kind of nice to have someone by your side who knows what you're going through with your gender identity struggle and everything. Lenae for sure feels bad for how they treated Tam just because they thought she was a little much, I mean it was kind of hypocritical, so they've been trying to make it up to her by being kind of everyly nice?? oh boy oh boy

Step 3: I really don't know a lot of what I could write for step 3 since like nothing of it is out in the actual game SO were just gonna go like personality kind of wise y'know? I think they've definitely mellowed out AT LEAST A LITTLE...like omg guys they can sometimes order for themselves at restaurants!! They're very opinionated and has a strong stance on what they believe but like not in a mean way they just don't understand why others would think differently. Building on their creative abilities, they probably have plans to go to a college for art or fashion. Or maybe they'll start their own business who knows! It's okay to not have everything planned out anymore, some spontaneity is welcome in their life. Now that they've finally been able to be more open, mainly around friends, they'll say something a little too...unsettling or freaky??? to be normal, it's a little weird to get used to oopsies

BTAS characters early colour palettes

Contains palettes for: Batman, Bruce Wayne, Robin, Commissioner Gordon, Alfred, Harvey Dent, Summer Gleeson, Renee Montoya, Harvey Bullock, Mayor Hill, Riddler, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Penguin, Catwoman, Joker

So I made a post earlier that covered stuff on the BTAS designs and art. Thing is, on the writer's bible for it, the character height charts also listed the colour palettes Like so:

Why is this interesting?

Because "PMS" are Pantone colours, and being Pantone colours they're all indexed. This means we can fill in the blanks on what the colours would have been intended to be, and because it's from a writer's bible these colours would have likely been from early in production.

So I spent some time filling in the blanks. Some palettes are hardly different, and some are very different.

Notes:

You'll notice many colours that look white on the final designs are listed as being grey-ish on these colour palettes. In reality, many of the colours that look "white" in BTAS as a whole are off-white and often appear lighter in the final product. Due to this, a lot of these colours will be listed as "off-white" here rather than grey, and these colours I'm not considering a major difference between what was and what we got.

I might be a bit out with my judgement on how colours have changed. Colour hues can change a lot due to technical reasons, and on top of that Pantone colours are intended to be seen in person. With that in mind I'm judging how the colours have changed by looking at which characters use same PMS numbers in their colours, judging how the colours look together on the designs here, and cross referencing BTAS screenshots.

The colours picked are all "Pantone U" colours, or colours intended for matte prints over anything glossy (Pantone C). There's hardly any difference between U and C colours I've noted other than C is slightly more saturated for the most part.

Colours for Batman and Robin are mostly the same. Robin has a more orange bodysuit. Bruce Wayne's suit is massively different from what we got- where he wears a brown blazer, black tie, yellow shirt and cream pants instead.

Gordon's belt is black instead of brown, the coat is a less saturated brown and his shirt is off-white instead of cream. Alfred is the same. Harvey has a grey tie and grey shoes instead of a red tie and black shoes. Summer had a belt, her blazer was more greenish than we got and her lipstick is leaning more on being orange than pink. *EDIT: Made an oopsie- forgot to colour Harvey's shirt. His colour palette here lists it as light blue. Also different from what we got.

Renee Rene has brighter lipstick on here and her uniform badges use a more desaturated yellow. Harvey formerly Harry had a brown tie on rather than red, his shirt is a deeper brown and his hat was the same shade of grey as his coat. Mayor hill is the same but his tie was brown instead of red.

Riddler's design seems to be unfinished here as he's completely missing his hair colour! His shirt is also a much lighter grey and the band on his hat is grey too instead of white. Two-Face is very different with hair the same as his blue skin tone and the white part of his suit was a light blue too. How this would have looked if we got this is unknown- perhaps in film format the blue would have look a lot lighter and whiter? Mr Freeze's main difference is in his dome and goggle colours, though his buckle changed from having white highlights to grey. Note: "PMS 272" (Riddler's mask/gloves colour and Freeze's gloves/boots) look more blue-purple on this palette sheet than what we got. However, this particular colour I've noticed always looks more like a purple-pink in the screenshots I'm cross referencing. As such, I'm assuming this looks different due to technical reasons or because they changed that colour across the board for all characters.

Three more designs that have changed in interesting ways. Ivy has a darker skin tone- in fact she's the only one out of these early palettes that uses a different skin colour that's natural. Which like... They tweaked a bunch of characters later to have more skin colour variety and decided to give Ivy the same skin colour as everyone else's early designs? Eh?? Nothing much else major has changed about her beyond that as far as I can tell. Scarecrow is massively different, but then BTAS kept changing his design anyway... He has not a lick of red on him, his head is yellow while his gloves aren't, his feet/shoes are a darker brown, his belt and cuff bands are completely different colours. Hatter is a strange one as always. His skin used the generic PMS 473 colour, his coat is a lighter shade (same colour as Renee's uniform), his shirt wasn't lime green, his pants looked to be a lighter blue and his gloves were going to be dark grey, the same shade as Bullock's coat.

Penguin's main difference is that his coat and tie were changed to black and not much beyond that. Catwoman hasn't changed. Joker's skin is blue for some reason (same blue that Two-Face's suit is on the right side) and I can only guess that it'd appear lighter when transferred to film. If this colour is actually what they used for his final palette is unknown, as his skin tone also ended up being an off-white in BTAS. Beyond that, his design used to have a cyan tie instead of the teal we got, and his eyes are white. Joker also uses the "PMS 272" colour for his suit, and just like with Riddler and Freeze, it ends up looking like a warmer purple colour in BTAS.

And that more or less covers all the characters featured in the writer's bible! On a related note, I stumbled across this picture of some official colour palettes of the characters:

Aaaaand I was worried I picked the colours completely wrong until I noticed these are all later versions of the character colours.

(Two-Face only has his flesh listed as blue, Riddler actually has his hair colour listed instead of just jumping straight to his eyes and other bits)

...Which means that not just was Scarecrow changed later in production, but so was Ivy! Her skin colour was changed last minute. For... Some reason. Looks like Hatter's skin colour and gloves were changed last minute too!

I would like to quickly apologize to the 6 people shipping Peri with Dale. I thought I was the only one but it seems like I've finally found my people. Anyways, back to the topic.

Now that you're here, I may as well show some more art of these two goobers +some silly headcanons. These are my AUed* versions of the two in my odd semi-realistic style that I completely ditch whenever I don't have the patience to draw faces (I often suck at drawing them. No wonder all my OCs are furries)

Note: him being slightly chubby and him having mobility issues are both headcanons I have shamelessly borrowed from others in the fandom. Also am I the only one who thinks Peri WOULDN'T be 6 ft tall? In the series he's like 5 apples tall, so wouldn't it make sense for him to be a bit short?

Note: there's like a bunch of lore explaining the reason why Dale looks so fucked up in my version. I scarred him for life, oopsie! But at least he has Peri now who "forces" him to go to therapy 😍. I may need to make a seperate post where I only talk about him and his past if I have the motivation.

I know a lot of you don't even know the pain of trying to convert a stylized character into a realistic style and still making them look good and kinda recognizable. I envy you who have less realistic art styles.

*And yes, I did say AU. More specifically I'm talking about the "Missionaries of Eden AU" (by me). I'm not gonna go into detail now, but basically it's a semi-biblical and more serious take on FOP, where the fairies are angels, anti-fairies are demons and pixies... I think they can stay as pixies, or maybe they're ghosts, bees? (There's a lot of things I still need to figure out) Their tasks are to work as missionaries on the planets of Eden (planets where life exists). There's a bunch of other lore (some of which I've explained on my casual/personal account on Instagram), but it's best I leave it for another time.

Btw: if you've seen me talk about a "Below the Stars AU", "Bible AU", "Ager DLC" or something else, it's all just the same thing. I just had a hard time coming up with a good name for it lol.

Also speaking of which, I have another post coming up (hopefully) where I explain my reasons for shipping Peri and Dale. It can honestly, out of context, seem like a toxic yaoi crack ship, but believe it or not but I managed to make it the opposite; plausible AND healthy. I want to enlighten you all plus I really want to yap about them.

It feels super funny to ship such a underrated ship. I'm used to shipping semi-popular ships, so to now be all alone feels kinda fun! They have so much potential and so few are seeing the vision?? Though to be fair I'm also glad it's not that famous lmao.

Ps. Ignore the fact I haven't posted anything here for at least half-a-year. All my mutuals are on Instagram, so I don't have a need to post here, though now I've decided to dedicate this account to hyperfixation slop so maybe you'll be hearing from me much sooner.

as for act two, im taking a break to do other things (college mainly, but also commission work and personal hobbies) but im probably getting back to writing soon! currently, act two is on chapter three, as ive decided to rewrite chapters 2-7 in the original doc, so theres a LOT of cut content. all for a good story! i dont really mind it :0c

finally, im opening up betas again!

theres been a LOT of inactivity from most of them and i have a bit of a schedule to keep, so im hoping that a new wave of betas could help with providing feedback and whatnot. i need clear communication! betas help greatly in letting me know how they feel with the current flow, their thoughts, and anything i need to address before publishing the chapter. id hope to get some new folk on board before my friend and i start developing act two more! <3

In terms of technique, I guess it depends which part exactly you're talking about, because most of it is just oil painting+pencil drawing made digital, where I sort of block my colours first, then blend as I see fit (or in some parts don't blend at all, which is what some classical painters do; it's really just habits and preferences from years of experience) and add details using a pencil brush.

If you're interested, stay tuned as I try and give some tips while showing my whole process using this lovely photo of Commodore as an example:

Part 1. The basics

I usually only use these 2 brushes, just because I like them a lot, rarely more than that; and I've changed the settings on the second one so it rotates in the direction of a stroke instead of being at a fixed angle.

SO, firstly I just make a sketch of course, then make a very rough base colour layer underneath it, not too dark, not too light, and fill in the background with a solid colour.

(don't be fooled, I don't actually name my layers cause I'm way too lazy for that)

Since we're talking about digital painting here, my biggest tip would be to make a habit of picking the right colours manually, like you would an for an actual oil painting, instead of using the eyedropper tool on the source. Colour matching is an insanely useful skill, it's like relative pitch in music, or an accurate eye in architecture; while it's not absolutely necessary to have it, you'll want it if you want less burden on your brain and more freedom of expression. "Learn the rules to learn to break them" kind of thing (and you'll be able to match the colours to the picture in your head as well, how cool is that? Hehe) I've done this so much that at this point I just do it for the hell of it. It's very fun :D And, as you might've guessed, I do it for the entirety of the process, with some rare exceptions. While I used to do so in the past, I don't like to use blending modes (eg. soft light, overlay, multiply, etc.) for shading anymore. I find it takes all the excitement out of the whole process for the sake of cheap dopamine, and it used to hinder my skill development because I wasn't learning to "speak the language" of art, I just "used google translate", so to speak.

Anyways... A sketch, then a rough midtone colour layer underneath + background:

Another great tip: I learned it from a video on good costume design in fantasy, which is so unrelated to painting that you're probably like "wha- what..?", BUT... the tip was "the costumes don't have to be historically accurate, they just have to make sense in the story". Your colours don't have to match your reference perfectly, they just have to make sense inside the painting, and that's what will make your art feel alive (along with other things ofc).

Next I create another layer on top of all that and get to actually paint, and this is where the blocking part comes in.

There is a really good video on this subject if you want to learn this kind of technique, and an Instagram page of a different artist that I've been immensely admiring for some time now. Although now that I think about it, neither of them use midtones as a base... Anyway,

I start with the darkest shadows, moving on towards lighter ones, noting some places where the they reflect more blueish/grayish tones of his uniform on his neck and jawline, and where they reflect the reddish environment on his nose, temple, cheek, ear, and neck.

Another great artist to help improve lighting skills.

I frequently make new layers on top of everything as I go, just so that I have some room for error and can delete them later if I'm not satisfied, and then merge them down if I am, because I hate being indecisive with too many changes, and having unnecessary clutter.

Sometimes if I don't like how a certain colour looks on the painting, I undo the stroke (or paint on top, if it's too late to undo) and just tweak it on the wheel until it looks right to my eye and move on. Eg. on the next screenshot, I didn't like how that blue from the sketch looked one the screenshot before, so I adjusted it a little with Hue/Saturation.

I also like to slightly exaggerate the palette so that it looks a bit more interesting:

The last thing I usually do is light, with tiny highlights being the absolute last, because both are very easy to overdo. I manually pick the colour from the colour wheel, make a few strokes where it's supposed to be the brightest, and then use eyedropper tool to sample different spots from the freshly-painted areas to make it easier to blend.

Now while that colour might look pretty light, it isn't light at all. To be fair, the difference between light and shadow isn't even that big sometimes. I used to overshoot with either of them in the past, picking either too light or too dark, and was frustrated and baffled why my painting was looking as shit as it was.

So I guess another tip: for lights, pick the colour much closer to your midtone than you think you need, and then adjust accordingly. The reason being: your eyes and brain are partners in crime and are constantly lying to you.

The (I guess second) base is done, and at this point, it's just a matter of staring at his face for 2, or however long, hours and adding more and more strokes, sampling different spots between them, until I like how it looks.

Sometimes, if I realize that either the proportions are a bit off or some lines don't look the way they're supposed to, I use some Photoshop tools to my advantage. I merge everything together (cause at this point I really don't plan on changing the sketch itself or the background), and use Liquify to move things around. So now it's a one-layer painting, just like the real deal lol

And then I continue doing the same thing I'd done before with all the other parts.

I only lightly paint over most sketch lines because I'm really not that concerned about some of them peeking out, especially at this stage, nor am I very pedantic.

Don't forget about subsurface scattering in areas where light meets shadow, of course:

If I see a place like this where I need a smooth gradient but don't feel like actually doing it cause it'll ruin the ~vibe~, and really, I just wanna add more a bit more pizzazz, I just take the pencil brush and hatch over it instead, alternating the darker and the lighter tones.

The caravat:

A lot of the time professional artists will advise you to look for simple shapes in things - squares, circles, triangles, rhombuses, etc. I'm no exception. Simple shapes will let you see patterns and some sort of order. It's easier to understand complex shapes that way, whether it be fabric, faces/bodies, or inanimate objects.

As you can see here, my brain mostly likes to look for triangles, or half-circles. It just feels right 👌

I learned to use translucency, with hair and light fabrics fading into background, from watching and doing watercolour. Here's one of my all-time favourite watercolour artists that does that sometimes, and it looks absolutely stunning: 미술부화실 misulbu

Another thing to point out, if you haven't noticed already, I really like my stokes straight unlike myself, with exceptions, of course. It's another habit I picked up from watching other people draw, as well as my years of studying art professionally. Teachers taught me to use straight criss-crossing hatches to indicate form, instead of curved ones (there was a really cool tiktok showing that kind of technique, but I can't find it :(). Not that I follow their advice in its intended way majority of the time lololol but um... yeah...

So anyway, this is the end of part 1, I'll try to finish the second part tomorrow. It will be about smaller details, texture, and an tiiiny bit of 🔥grime🔥

Ignoring the fact that ibis had the ai paint feature a couple years before this whole ai fiasco, after seeing your post, I decided to try it out to see if it really held up. I already knew what you said made no sense, as even stuff like ai painting requires heavy human input that isn't just someone typing a prompt in a thing and looking through thousands of images and somehow still calling it 'art'. Really, it's just some weird advanced bucket.

The ibis ai paint... really sucks. I'm pretty sure it hasn't even been touched since it was added. No matter what I did, I got random colours and whatever colours I had put there looked like it were from a filter, not to mention how my lineart bled everywhere like it was blurred out.

Ibis isn't problematic for adding that feature as not only was it added ages ago, but it was also just a gimmick only added because a few more popular paid programs added them, like Clip Studio Paint. I highly doubt even the company took it seriously considering how poorly built it is. This is actually the one time I'm glad some feature in an app sucks so much.

Another reason why ibis isn't problematic by the mere feature alone is that, when you look at the artists making content during the time of that update, it was received with humour. It was something fun to try, but ultimately dismissed for actual artwork, as nobody would use it to fully paint their works. Nowadays we see something slapped with the words 'ai' and think that it's instantly bad due to the latest issues with it and big corperations/ certain production companies but it isn't. It's just a lot of people abusing what was previously some fun gimmick, which it can still be, and for certain apps, still is. Nobody throws pitchforks at character ai, after all.

You can tell just by the size of this that I'm procrastinating on something. Ima go and let this rot away in your askbox now lol

I wanna start off by saying thank you for holding me accountable, I will admit that I got buzzworded pretty hard in this situation lmao

This information came as a surprise to me-- I was seeing posts pop up within the past week complaining about the ai feature on ibis, so I assumed it was recent. As it turns out, after reading your ask, I discovered that I got a few wires crossed! Because yes, the auto paint feature I referred to in my post has been around for years now, and was never taken seriously anyways

So that was my bad (and yea ur right it's completely unusable, lmao)

But as it turns out, the feature that people have been complaining about DID come out recently. It was called the AI Example feature, I think the idea was that you make a simple drawing and the AI adds 99% of the detail and color, which I've seen a bunch of other programs do.

...and then it was immediately removed due to some pretty major backlash, which, duh

^ This is the only evidence I can find of the 11.2.0 update that included the AI feature on the actual site; their update history stops at 11.1.0. But there's also the news page about the removal of the update, so it's not like they're trying to pretend it never happened.

So tl;dr, I jumped on the hate train a little too quickly and never did enough research to figure out what the actual update was, and that it's been removed by now anyway (which I couldn't have known until today, ofc, but i did kinda post that thing about ibis today so it's still a pretty major oopsie)

I think I can say with confidence now that I agree, ibis paint isn't problematic to use-- they made a mistake with this update, but they actually listened to their users and removed it LITERALLY the next day. So, thanks for letting me know! I'll also edit my last post to prevent any misinformation, just in case people make the same mistake I did :]

I love how he always seems to be missing us when JM doesn't seem to be around, or should I put it this way? When JM's around he doesn't give a rat's ass about us? Nah, he loves army, but he definitley has his priorities... and above all, someone we will NEVER compete with for JK's love, is JM. I do wish a big chunk of army would understand that already.

The timing is also, as always, thought out. And this time the date giving us 8/11 and the time giving us the 123 is no coincidence in my apparently very insane opinion.

I would like to talk for a second here about how happy JK looks.

He himself talks about how he's been cooking a lot and eating a lot and he put on weight. I, for one, think he looks amazing. I hated to see him so skinny back in his Feb lives.

I think this is a first time in a long time we are seeing his eye smile even when it's not about JM. He's happy. He's active. He's working and working out and looking good and gaining muscle. He has JM around more and he's just back on track and he's happy. And it shows.

Satiated. That's a word that comes to mind. He has all the things he loves. JM, food, music, JM. He has it all now.

Also, our Jiminah, must be over the moon with his babe getting his man boobies back.

I mean, those chesties, or dare I say breasties were his besties, he just cannot keep his hand off them. LITERALLY.

And the hair, lol.

How he starts the live with his hair down and then goes to put it up. Am I the only one that as he does that is thinking about this?

Which was JM commenting on JK's mukbang live (which was deleted, ugh), telling him how much he wants to tie his hair back neatly (oh, the cute art we got from that one...).

Can I also mention, before we move on, just how adorable that man is?

He went to grab his glasses cause he didn't see the screen well...

What strikes me every single time is that sense of naivete about him. It feels like he's literally doing these things for the first time, and the excitement and expressions on his face, it's just so sweet/cute. So endearing. I mean, it's not the first time he's worn his glasses, and yet the surprise how much better things look with them on, it's just so adorable.

And of course I cannot not add this edit, cause it's just hilarious.

I'm surprised, yet not surprised every single time again as to how rude and stupid fans can be. At the start of the live, just before JK goes to pull up his hair (and I really want to hope that this wasn't the reason that he tied up his hair at the end), he reads out a comment calling him Jungsoon which is in essence calling him girly or "baby girl", which he replies to:

And he goes to tie his hair but doesn't, sidetracked by a positive comment saying he's been missed. That's also when he goes on to talk about cooking and putting on weight.

Fans like that they just fucking piss me off.

JK talks about not singing too loud at night. Explaining how even though he thought the place was properly sound proofed, and although the neighbours can't hear him singing, they can feel the vibrations from the speakers, oopsy. He received a kind of complaint about it, and says how since he hasn't been singing loudly at night (well, not as loudly, lol).

The way JK keeps doing this, supporting JM and his work, I mean you have to be blind not to see this.

JK literally sang or hummed JM's Angel pt. 1 four times throughout his live, including his funny as hell ad-lib that now that we have the translated live we can well appreciate (I was scared they won't translate that part, but they came through, well at least with that).

And this is something JK does. He loves JM. He JM's songs, he loves to sing them. We've seen this time and time again.

Now all we really need is Letter, although I have a feeling we aren't going to get that. Which in itself, their reluctance to talk about it or sing it ever since it's been released, that is a big ass neon light telling us just how private and personal this song is to THEM.

Also, side note, that adlibbed Angel in Korean - JK's how to tell us he's drinking a highball without actually telling us he's drinking a highball, lol.

JK says he's been on YT and TikTok lately (making it clear that he's not on IG, which makes me think he might actually still be lurking on IG, idk, it's the criminal mind in me, lol). That's where he said he first heard Night dancer (will get to that song in a sec) and obviously also saw Jiminie's Seventeen Super dance challenge.

JK told us about how much he's been listening to Night dancer. Can't stop listening to it was more like it. He plays it several times during the live. And it's a good song. I get why he likes it. And the lyrics, I also get why this song is living rent free in his mind.

I keep going back to read and re-read those lyrics. Eyes tear up. This is definitely one that hits the heart strings, and so understandably a song that JK is feeling right now.

I don't know if you guys remember the ask I had a long while back asking me to pick a Troye Sivan song for every year of Jikook's relationship.

Thing is, for 2022-3 it wouldn't be a Troye Sivan song I would choose. It would be this one.

The song is by a Japanese artist called Imase, who went online to thank and show his appreciation to JK for listening to his song and mentioning it in his live.

I can't help but wonder if this is why JK knows that Japanese YT teacher so well, is he touching up on his Japanese?

So, part 2 JK sang 2 songs by Taeyang (hilarious how he stops singing Shoop the second it's Lisa's part), 2 songs by Seventeen, talked about how Jun taught him the dance for Super and Mingyu asked him to do the challenge but hasn't called him, and then proceeded to say that he won't do it, lol.

Pity, I'm sure he'd rock it.

He also talked about watching Go Seventeen and how funny they were.

I do love how he's sharing with us the songs he loves, the shows he likes, and also supporting his partner and his friends.

JK also mentioned he saw the photo of his female lookalike, Hira Saya, lol.

JK talked about Hobi finishing his basic training that day. Sending them a selfie to their group chat.

I personally am not prepared for that day.

But the hilarious part, once again, is does he not think we will notice his hair getting shorter?????

Again, that naivete of his, just like he was surprised he was so easily recognized at Coachella, lol.

After singing fighting, JK, as we so dearly know him, turns to the camera and asks: "should we sleep now?"

He turns back to sing fighting for a few seconds and then:

Adds "fighting for tomorrow", waves bye, says he dropped by briefly to play, that he'll find good songs for us and come back, asking "but these are all songs that you already knew, right? You probably listen to more music than I do. I really don't listen to music", waves bye, says not to get sick and be happy, and he's done.

Lol.

Look, it's not like he didn't warn us. Multiple times. He said he'd have to go to sleep at 1 am cause he has somewhat of a schedule the next morning. It's the way he does it that has me on the floor laughing.

I didn't talk about the CP song he played and sang, because yeah, CP, not much to talk about, other than again, this is an artist that JK likes, admires, and one that he is choosing to share his music with us and sing his songs.

Anyways, before I end this, a couple of points I noticed:

The songs he played and sang to us. JK said it loud and clear. And his live closing statement kind of cements the fact that he came to sing these songs he thinks are good songs, and that even though he, in his own words, doesn't really listen to music these days, is obviously listening to these songs and wanted to play them and sing them to us. Songs that happen to be by his partner (4 times he goes back to Angel pt. 1 in his live for a total of over 5 minutes singing or humming or adlibbing it), his friends (Seventeen), artists he admires (CP and Taeyang) and a special extra song that happens to live in his head at the moment (Night dancer).

The absence of the songs he didn't play. I think it was kind of loud and clear, don't you?

Anyway, JK came back to us, as he has been doing when JM is absent. He's happy. He looks happy. So I'm happy. And as much as I want more frequent lives from him, if JM being away or absent is the catalyst then I would rather he have his Jiminie by his side than me enjoy him going live. And him going live is pure joy. Do you understand what I'm willing to give up here? Do I need to make myself any clearer?

I want them to be happy is all.

Good afternoon everyone! It is time once again for another update post. Are you excited? I hope so. Sorry for dropping it so late, I forgot to download my files and. Yeah. So there’s not much here, other than the once’s I needed. Oopsie.

I’d like to open this post by introducing my new collaborator, @bat-luun He has been helping me a TON with the backgrounds, and is a complete life saver, as well as an extremely talented artist. I’m so happy to have him, both as a friend and as an artist. He has done the Bonus Content banner for the post, when it goes up tomorrow. Go show him some love!!

Before I get into the juicy details, I’d like to thank you all for your patience with me, and request that you hang on just a liiiitle longer. I am participating in the Sonic Big Bang, which I have just entered crunch time in. The project is SIGNIFICANTLY longer than I anticipated, and I have until the 25th to get it done. I am working hard on it, and if it comes to it, I may have to put this project on a little bit of a hold to finish it. Only until the 25th, though, and I will still be working on it! Keep an eye open on my main account for the project in June, when all of the works go up. I’m very excited, and while its not jackal related, I think it will be a ton of fun ;)
