At trivia night the question had a mashup answer. Question was First harry pottter movie + Stone structure in england. We put "sorcerer's stoneHenge". Which was right. And we put the max amount of points on it. But the emcee didn't count it because it didn't have "harry potter and the" at the start. And i am so fucking mad.

i really hope that the new show won't commercialize pjo the way the movies did for harry pottter.
it'll suck if disney decides to make pjo just another product with a price tag ( like blankets & other miscellaneous shit ).

Seamus loved the way Dean spoke
-How he drew out his vowels, almost as if he were Welsh, even though he was born and raised in London.
-How his voice was perfectly raspy and cracked constantly, yet listening to it you would forget that. It was smooth and romantic in it’s own right, and it made Seamus melt whenever he heard it.
-How his voice resonated in his chest, and how when Seamus would lay with Dean he could feel it.
-How at the beginning of sentences he would let out a short breath and pause before starting.
-How his smile got goofy when he got to talking about stuff that he cared a lot about.
-How his voice would get loud and intimidating when he got angry (it wasn’t particularly scary, but everyone was always so used to Dean being gentle and quiet that when he yelled it would come as a shock to anyone around him).
-How he whispered “I’m not going anywhere, I love you, now sleep well” into Seamus’ ear as they drifted off to sleep.
-How his laugh would start out a chuckle, crack, and then get really loud.
-How he over-pronounced his “r”s. This started after Dean met Seamus, but the only people who ever noticed were his parents.
-How Dean said “alright, okay” at everything. It was his catchphrase, if you will. And he used it in every context, as well.
-How he would lick his bottom lip before saying something that made him nervous.
-How sometimes, in the night, he would sleep talk.
-How he seemingly had advice for any situation at all, and was always willing to give it.
-How, even though he wasn’t a singer, any Gryffindor would insist that he had the best singing voice of any of the boys in their year.
-How giddy and fast-paced the conversation would get once you got him talking about football.
-How his voice would get even softer and fonder when he was drawing. Dean loved drawing almost more than anything else in the world.
-How his voice was always croaky and deep when he woke up in the morning
-How he called Seamus “Shay”, and how Dean was the only person who was allowed to call him that.
-How sometimes he could get his message across without saying a word. In the way he smiled, or the way he held Seamus, or the way he looked at him. Because Dean wasn’t big on chatting, sometimes the way he moved conveyed even more than any words could.
-How he said “I love you” to Seamus. Every time it was the same; he put an emphasis on the ‘love’ and said it softly. Not quietly, necessarily, but gently without exception.
-How he was so soft spoken. He never really spoke -- at least not around other people -- and when he did he chose his words carefully. He and Seamus were the exact opposites of each other in that way; Seamus spoke his mind and stumbled over his words, but Dean only ever talked when he thought it was important to do so. That’s why he talked so much when he was with Seamus.

Harry potter au where, while Harry does live with the Dursley's, Remus is allowed to visit every weekend. Vernon and Petunia are too scared of a man who is half wolf, so they treat Harry nicely. Harry grows up knowing that someone loves him and cares about him. Remus takes Harry out to play in the park and eat ice-cream and Harry asks Dudley to come along because he's a cinnamon roll. Petunia eventually stops hating Remus when she notices that he's very gentle and always compliments her plants. Remus keeps working to prove Sirius innocent. Eventually, he goes to Severus, because he doesn't want to interact with any other death eater. Although there is very little hope, he asks him if he could get any information about that night. Severus being Severus, denies that he knows anything. Mcgonagall helps Remus in investigating Severus because he was in Voldemort's inner circle, along with Peter so there is no way thar he's oblivious to to everything. After four years, they finally find a little clue when Minerva overhears Severus talking to someone about Peter hiding in his animagi form. They start looking for a certain mouse and because they are still very close with the Weasley family, it's not too difficult to find it. Five years later, Sirius comes back home after Peter confesses under the influence of Veritaserum.
In the end, Harry ends up living with his uncle moony and padfoot like the loving family they should have been.
(I will work on any loopholes that are present)

OKAY GOING EVEN FARTHER WITH THIS FANFIC NOSTALGIA BULLSHIT
When I like 9 I really liked Harry Potter, I read all the books and saw all the movies, and I was subscribed to like fifty different Harry Potter YouTube channels, and as @/missmorois knows I had Harry Potter bed sheets, and was like “hey I wonder if anyone has made more content on this” so one day in the App Store I search smthin like “Harry pottter fanfics”. And when I tell you this was a huge mistake I mean it. I downloaded it, and it was ALL, ALL OF IT, was Harry x Draco fanfics. And I was fine with this, this was my first experience with fan fiction, so I was like “cool, I have more content of this thing I love.” BUT THE STORIES WERE SO WEIRD??????? LIKE, THERE WERE CHILDREN THEY HAD, THE SMA EONES IN EVERY FIC FOR SOME REASON, AND THEY HAD A THING WHERE DRACO WOULD TELL HARRY THAT HES GONNA HAVE TO CARRY THE NEXT BABY, AND IT WAS LIKE REALLY DOMESTIC LIFE KINDA THING BUT STILL????? AND THE WORST PART, THE WORST PART, WAS THAT THE MAIN TIME I WOULD READ THIS, ON MY IPAD AS A 9 YEAR OLD, WAS IN MY BABYSITTERS CAR IN THE PICKUP LINE TO GET MORE BROTHER FROM HIGHSCOOL, AND THE LINE ALWAYS TOOK LIKE UP TO AND HOUR ON REALLY BAD DAYS, SO I COULD READ LIKE FIVE ONE SHOTS, AND WHENEVER MY BABYSITTER ASKED WHAT I WAS READING ID SAY SMTHIN LIKE “just some Harry Potter stuff” AND SHE WAS IN HER LIKE TWENTIES AND WAS BUSY WITH COLLEGE AND BABYSITTING AND HER OWN BROTHERS SO SHE HAD NO IDEA THAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT FANAFICS AND I THIBK SHE THOUGHT I WAS ON POTTERMORE OR SMTHIN AIBWJEIEHWKSHSNSOSHSKSHDNDJD

All things POTTTER!
Oh Harry Potter, my childhood films there was not a film that would come out that my friends didn't scream "THE NEW HARRY POTTER IS OUT, WE NEED TO GO, WE NEED TO GO" so as expected we went, after all it was that or staying at home watching whatever your parents wanted to watch (BORING). If you didn't know, Harry Potter came to our screens in 2001 and was taken away in 2011, the fantasy world written by J.K.Rowling,  followed 3 young wizards into the world of magic fighting the ever lasting return of he who shall not be named (Voldemort.. Voldemort..). The 8 part series of films grossed over a billion dollars! if that's not telling you how popular it was then i don't know what will.
Mr. Potters lasting shenanigans over the 8 films kept us on the edge of our feet, waiting for the final fight between Harry and Voldemort, which did not disappoint. To this day the Harry Potter franchise is still very popular from the streaming of its films (SKY HAS A HARRY POTTER CHANNEL), merchandise and the visits to the movie scenes. Now for my British audience we don't have to go far to visit these amazing scenes, personally I visited the village where the train to Hogwarts (Hogsmeade station) located in Goathland, Yorkshire embarked on its next adventure. - A brief overview of some of the places you can visit, don't worry i will be adding a comprehensive guide soon on my website:
So lets move onto where you can take your next adventure.
Goathland, Yorkshire:
I visited here with my university group back in 2017, as part of our tourism course. It was inspiring to think just a few years previous, this scenic North Yorkshire Village became the ending scenes of the Philosophers stone. You know, all the trouble the 3 wizards had been through that year, they return back to Hogsmeade station where Hagrid see's them off.  Build in 1865 and going virtually unchanged throughout the decades, the North Yorkshire Village of Goathland located within North Yorkshire Moors, it is free to visit here as part of a screen tourism escape, you can also take the stream train to immerse yourself in the experience of Harry Potter (although it wont be the Hogwarts train, the steam train still has the benefit of giving you the fantasy of traveling to Hogwarts yourself. London, Britain
Australia House: Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone:
This is where the magic started, the shots taken here were of the interior shots of Gringotts, remember the miserable goblins who ran the bank? yes, here we go! you can actually visit this place for free! albeit you cannot actually go inside but being able to view this on your trip round London or as part of your Harry Potter tour of the city, it is well worth seeing, you might run into some miserable goblins along the way.
Kings Cross Station: every movie:
We all know this famous place, were all the students of Hogwarts descend into chaos getting on the train for the next school year running into the famous brick wall (this always made me cringe or laugh when Harry and Ron couldn't get through), you can actually visit, have your picture taken along side the Trolley in the wall with the rightful Gryffindor scarf and visit the Harry Potter shop to indulge in their wide range of merchandise (even the books and films!). If you wanted to visit here it is completely free and best of all you can start your unofficial tour here! (because this is where it all starts.. right?). You can also visit St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, which in the Chamber of Secrets, it was used as the entrance to King's Cross Station.
Claremont Square: Order of the Phoenix, Deathly Hallows part one
This place is just awesome, the special effects to move the houses was just unbelievable, we as Harry Potters fans would remember this little gem as the hide out for the Order of the Phoenix, also known as 12 Grimmauld Place, the ancestral home to Harry's Godfather Sirius Black, but is also invisible to muggles (so bring out your inner wizard). The shots are only of the exterior of the housing but the nostalgic part is remembering the scenes of escaping wizards, plotting new plans and remembering that little moment between Sirius and Harry together as family.
Leadenhall Market: Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone
The exterior of Diagan Alley and the Leaky Cauldron. Build in 1881 it is one of London's Victorian Markets, walk in the shoes of the character you want to portray and lead yourself down the beautiful scenes of this historic market, its free to enter!
Millennium Bridge: Harry Potter and the Half Blooded Price
Construction of the Millennium Bridge started in 1998, completed on the June 10th 2000 (Visit Britain, 2021), just before appearing on the Half blooded prince. This little beauty featured in one of the most tense scenes in Harry Potter, the Millennium Footbridge collapses! take a walk across the bridge, you might see some death eaters along the way.. I'd hold on for dear life..
Reptile House, London Zoo: Harry Potter and Philosophers Stone
This building was used as as whole, and was the baseline of the storyline where Harry learns he can speak to Snakes and liberates the Burmese Python. This was actually a cool way to show Harry's special skills. But I think I'd preferred it if Harry set the snake on Dudley, I will just settle for him being trapped in the snakes home instead. This will set you back a little money but for the attractions here you can make a day of it as too fulfilling your Harry Potter experience. Child (14.85) Adult (19.80).
Durham Cathedral: Philosophers Stone; Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban
HOGWARTS! well, part of it anyway. This beautiful cathedral was used as severalexterior and interior shots of Hogwarts, founded in 1093 and proclaimed as a World HeritageSite in 1986, visiting this Harry Potter Favorite per guided tour will set you back£5 per person, admission into the tower (Adult - £5, Children under 16 - 2.50).
Alnwick Castle: Philosophers Stone & Chambers of Secrets
Another part of the exterior of the famous Hogwarts castle, Alnwick Castle was used as part of Philosophers stone and Chambers of Secrets, with its gothic features and architecture it's easy to understand why this was used as the exterior for Hogwarts. The exterior is recognizable as the area were Harry and fellow wizards fly their broom sticks with Madame Hooch, and also were Harry learned he would be an excellent Quidditch player. The courtyards of this impressive castle is known for the background as the wizards walking outside and around the castle, it is also where that cool scene of Harry and Ron crashing Mr. Weasleys car into that dam tree! A very nostalgic place to visit for your Harry Potter fix, although it is a public place, why not dress up and really play your favorite character as they would many years ago.
Here you can visit in Alnwick, within the English County of Northumberland, you can travel here by train / car. however there are fee's. Castle Entrance: Adult £14 - Child £7.20 Garden: Adult 11.50 - Child £4.18Castle & Garden: Adult £23.85 - Child £9.88 (these prices are subject to change)
If anything the money is worth it for a family day out or take your friends and to really immerse yourself in the fantastic role play of Harry Potter.
Malham Cove: Deathly Hallows part one
This little gem of a place is where the Harry and Hermione hide from Voldemort. Ron had already stormed off due to his paranoia (horcruxes problems!) and the two young wizards were forced to set up camp to figure out their next move. This place seems hidden away, however it is actually 1km north of the village of Malham. Uniquely shaped from a past river, its any wonder why the writers of Harry Potter had chosen it. British hidden gems seem to be the best place. You can visit here for free (fee for parking), this would be a great opportunity in the summer for a day out,  Take the day to find horcruxes, play within the roles of your favorite characters and believe he who shall not be named is after you.
Lacock Abbey : Philosophers Stone & Chamber of secrets
Ah Snape's potions class, poor Snape having to deal with these young wizards that don't have a clue, even though all he ever wanted to do was the Dark Arts class. You can also visit the Potters Parents home! Deep within Lacock, you will find a perfectly normal family home, with a dark secret, the wizards had it re-built to keep muggles non-the wiser, but we have all seen this in the Philosophers stone, its an awful wreck! You can visit here on a day tour including return bus travel, a visit to Salisbury and Bath £54 for Adults - £44 for children. Virginia Water: Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire This beautiful place was used as Hogwarts Lake, where Harry rode on the Hippogriff in the Prisoner of Azkaban and were Hermione passed on messages through the Goblet of Fire to Harry and Ron. Spooky. You can visit here for free, its location is just off Heathrow Airport (M3 & M4 for maximum accessibility).
Ashridge Wood: Goblet of fire (Hertfordshire)
The woods were the Quidditch World Cup is held. Free to visit (visitors centre - 10am-4pm)
Seven Sisters country Park: Goblet of Fire
This Scenic view and a marvelous walk is the seven sisters cliffs were used as the background where Harry walks up the fill to find the transportation boots that will take him to the Quidditch World Cup. It is free to take a walk alongside this beautiful Area, Parking will set you back around £3.50 for the day, but that is cheap to be able to take a walk around the area where Harry had taken that faithful walk.
Hardwick Hall: Deathly Hallows
The main setting for the death eaters meeting at the Malfoy Mansion, The main hideout for death eaters, it was also were poor muggle professor Charity Burbage was eaten by Nagini (Voldemort's snake) as she wasn't a true believer in pure bloods. Located in Chesterfield, you can drive here and park for free! although going inside the manor will cost; Adult 12.60 & Child £6.20. Well worth to see the Malfoy manor surely.
Gloucester Cathedral: Philosophers Stone; Chamber of Secrets and Half blooded price
This beautiful cathedral was used for various of shots inside these films, walking through these manors would feel like walking within Hogwarts itself. Imagine yourself as a young wizard walking to your next class or waiting for Voldemort to come get you!, Located in Gloucester, it is free to visit and have an imaginative day out to really immerse yourself into the Harry Potter lifestyle. If you really want to feel the full experience of the Harry Potter tour, you can take your own wizarding walk through the city, walk in the steps of your favorite characters or take the Harry Potter Bus Tour of London. The length of the tour is 2-3 hours, highlights include, Luggage Trolley Pictures with Platform 9 3/4, Walk in the footsteps of Hagrid and Harry going all the places they travelled within the first film, visit the entrance to the Ministry of Magic and the location used for the Leaky Cauldron; Learn some movie-making scene secrets in different locations. Prices vary throughout the year; so take a look here: Harry Potter Bus Tour of London | VisitBritain | VisitBritain (visitbritainshop.com)
Other places to visit: London City Hall - Greater London Authority
Great Scotland Yard - where Harry and Mr. Weasley entered the phone box into the ministry of Magic, no phone box though! it was only a prop (GUTTED)
Piccadilly Circus: Exterior shots of the 3 wizards rushing through London's west end for safety from the dark wizards.
New College (Oxford): Goblet of fire- where everyone sports the "Harry Stinks" badges during Triwizard Tournament (£3 fee).

Here we go, Harry Pottter OC time!
Name: Grace Peters
Nickname: Gracie (only her grandmother on her dad’s side and her cousin call her this)
Gender: Female (I’m sure you hadn’t guessed this)
Appearance: pale skin (“I don’t tan, I burn.”), hazel eyes, lighter brown hair, round glasses.
Hair is usually in one of six styles; low bun, two braids, lowish ponytail, single braid, straighten, or natural.
Obviously she wears her uniform, probs with pants not a skirt. Her normal not uniform style is sweaters, t-shirts, flannels, sweatshirts (her grandma, as previously mentioned, got her a Yellowstone one and that’s her fav) and jeans. Maybe leggings.
Personality: has a bit of a temper, sarcasm, sarcasm everywhere, a bit bossy but she means well, can comfort the heck out of someone if required. Will get her assignments in on time, does her homework like immediately after she’s finished her classes for the day.
Flaw(s): temper, bossiness, too studious sometimes
House: Ravenclaw (same year as Oliver Wood)
Pet: Western screech owl named Oscar(he’s kinda obnoxious. Her brother is prone to calling him a pest)
Patronus: Western screech owl
Tumblr media
Wand: uhhhh, I have no idea... help?
Occupation(in school): Chaser (second through 5th year), Quidditch Captain (6th through 7th year)
Occupation(post school): Auror, OotP member, after she gets too old to Auror, she probably gets a job in Diagon Alley or something like that...
Backstory: Her dad’s parents divorced when he was young and her dad, grandpa and aunt moved to rural England. Her grandma still lives in the US and is regularly visited by her magical grandkids. Her dad was a muggleborn and attended Hogwarts.
Her mother’s parents come from a pair of respectable pure-blood families. Her mother’s older brother married a pure-blood witch and had one kid, who’s Grace’s age, Grace’s cousin and practically best friend, Catherine Schaub(Grace calls her Catie). Her mother’s younger sister married a pure blood wizard, though they don’t have any kids.
Her parents met at Hogwarts in 7th year and eventually got married. Grace and her younger brother, Finn, who is in Harry’s year, are considered blood traitors by their mother’s family, except for Catie, and their mother’s younger sister.
Role: Grace would be mentioned/seen around in the first few books/movies. She has a small friend group, consisting of my friends’ OC’s. I’m not gonna put them here, but they’re nearly inseparable. Catie plays Quidditch for Slytherin, but has a fierce hate for Malfloy. She can frequently be found chilling in the Ravenclaw common room with her cousin and friends.
When she is made captain however, it starts a fierce rivalry between her and Oliver Wood. This becomes a bit of a plot point. She doesn’t do anything exciting until in their seventh year, she and Wood go to shake hands on the pitch and she snogs him in front of the whole school. Her friends and Catie are cheering her on because she’s had a crush on Wood since 6th year. Finn is confused and a bit grossed out(he’s a third year, who can blame him).
She and Wood start dating, and remain dating after they leave Hogwarts. She attends the world cup with him. She becomes an Auror trainee, but has to leave the ministry when things go to heck.
During Order of the Phoenix, there’s a whole arc thingy where she and Catie end up confronting their own family (for Grace, her aunt and uncle, for Catie, her parents). It’s dramatic and her aunt almost kills Catie at some point.
She, Catie and a couple of her friends join the OotP when it forms.
Finn becomes a beater for the Gryffindor team when Fred and George got kicked off.
A month before the battle of Hogwarts, Oliver proposes to her and she accepts. (Yay!)
She participates in the battle of Hogwarts.
After Series: she becomes a full fledged Auror, and regularly attends Oliver’s Puddlemere matches. They get married a couple months after the war ends.
There’s this raid she goes on, since she becomes an Auror again, and she almost dies. She has this realization that she’s basically starting a family and she doesn’t want to be constantly putting herself in danger. So, she resigns as an Auror and ends up becoming the assistant manger of Flourish and Blotts,
I want them to have kids, but I’m not really sure how many (three at most, but at least two). I do know that the oldest would be named Winston and that he’d be a Hufflepuff and a nerd, maybe play Quidditch...

Blu-ray Review: I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle
Tumblr media
I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle has an attention-grabbing title with artwork to match, but unlike modern B-movies in the vein of Sharknado, it is not a byproduct of manufactured camp. The 1990 low-budget horror-comedy is well aware of its silly premise, but the laughs are genuine; it never lowers itself to winking at the audience. The dry, British humor holds up, and there's plenty of integrity behind it.
When a motorcycle gang kills a group of occultists amidst a satanic ritual, the cult leader uses his last dying breath to bleed himself into the gas tank of his 750cc Norton Commando, leaving an evil spirit to possess it. An unsuspecting local, Noddy (Neil Morrissey, British Men Behaving Badly), later buys the bike on the cheap, soon learning that it has a mind of its own. The title is not a metaphor; the motorcycle is a literal vampire. In addition to craving blood, it hates sunlight, garlic, and crucifixes.
Tumblr media
The vampiric vehicle targets members of the rival motorcycle gang, but it's willing to satiate its blood-thirst with anyone it can get its hands-- er, wheels on. There are a lot of fun practical special effects - in addition to the killer bike, there's an unforgettable, anthropomorphic poop - headed by Bob Keen (Hellraiser, Candyman) and his Image Animation team (which also includes the Harry Pottter film's key prosthetic makeup artist, Paul Spateri). The scrappy charm brings to mind The Evil Dead.
Anthony Daniels (C-3PO from the Star Wars franchise) chews the scenery as an eccentric priest that Noddy enlists to exorcise the evil spirit. Fellow Star Wars veteran Amanda Noar (Star Wars: Return of the Jedi) plays Noddy's girlfriend. She and Morrissey were married at the time, so their chemistry is natural. Michael Elphick (The Elephant Man) serves as the inspector on the curious cast. Burt Kwouk (Pink Panther franchise) makes a brief, silent cameo as the proprietor of a Chinese takeout joint.
Tumblr media
Producer/co-writer Mycal Miller (who penned the script with John Wolskel) conceived Vampire Motorcycle while working as an editor on the British crime series Boon. He proceeded to "borrow" several cast (including Morrissey and Elphick) and crew members, among other resources, from the TV series. Dirk Campbell made his feature directorial debut with the film. While he has since made an unlikely career for himself in children's television (most recently helming several episodes of The Worst Witch), I'd love to see him tackle another horror-comedy.
The film is pure entertainment from start to finish, but it's a bit long at 101 minutes. The setup, in particular, throws off the pacing; it's not until an hour into the film that Noddy realizes what's wrong with his motorcycle. Since the audience is in on the premise from the title, the main character - from whose point-of-view the story is told - ought to become aware of the conflict by the end of the first act.
Tumblr media
I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle has been newly restored in 4K for a Blu-ray release from Kino Lober, resulting in a transfer so pristine it could be mistaken for a new (albeit low budget) effort. The Blu-ray features reversible artwork and several special features ported over from a previous DVD edition. Campbell, Frank, Wolskel, and Miller participate in a lively audio commentary, taking friendly jabs at one another and the film itself.
"We Bought a Vampire Motorcycle" is a 40-minute making-of documentary; a highlight comes when Daniels admits that the infamous "talking turd" nearly turned him off from doing the movie, but he has a good sense of humor about the ordeal. Other extras include: a featurette in which Campbell revisits the prop motorcycle after being stored in a shed since filming wrapped, a comedic "Where Are They Now?" segment, and the trailer.
Tumblr media
I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle doesn't try to hide its limited budget, but it's a well-made film with ample humor (ranging from lowbrow to clever), special effects, and heart. With all the makings of a cult classic - including a rocking end credit theme song by composer Dean Friedman (another Boon alumnus) - it's a wonder the film isn't more widely discussed. Hopefully Kino Lorber's new Blu-ray presentation will allow viewers to uncover this hidden gem in all its bonkers glory.
I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle is available now on Blu-ray and DVD via Kino Lorber.

Right so I've been inactive cause I'm busy etc etc but:
When I was younger, I would read harry pottter and cry because I wanted friends like ron and hermione. Same with pokemon. And I would talk to my mother, like this little 11 year old suicidal girl, and she would saythose friendships were unrealistic and didn't happen etc etc
Which is BULLSHIT
Like three years later I have a friend like that. I have two friends like that.
Basically like. If you're lonely and depressed there are in fact people out there who will be your friend, like in movies and books okay
