Hi, I’m a new-ish in the world of reality shifting. You can call me “Bee” or whatever if you want. Im here to have fun and make stories end less sad. I also have zero idea how to use Tumblr, so please bear with me. Let me know if you’re going to one of the same realities as me, so we can chat :) or if you just want to chat in general. I edit this every once in a while
List of my DRs:
Pixie Hollow
Kingdom Hearts
Land of the Lustrous (4x)
Soul Eater
The Boys

Sometimes I like to go to fucked up DRs so I can change the story so that it’s more on the sweet side. I’ll probably change this list a lot, adding more places I want to shift to. I’m going to Land of the Lustrous a bunch, I love it there. Ask me anything you want

Kamala Harris’s ‘Joyful’ War on Entrepreneurs
When Democrats talk about boosting the middle class, what they mean is government employees.
By Allysia Finley Wall Street Journal
Americans who tuned in to Kamala Harris’s coronation last week heard from plenty of celebrities, labor leaders and politicians. Missing from the “joyous” celebration, however, were entrepreneurs who generate middle-class jobs.
No surprise. Cheered on by the crowd, Democrats took turns whacking “oligarchs” and “corporate monopolists.” By the time Ms. Harris took the stage, the pinatas’ pickings had been splattered around. This is what Democrats plan to do if they win: destroy wealth creators so they can spread the booty among their own.
Corporate greed is “the one true enemy,” United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain proclaimed. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders insisted the party “must take on Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Ag, Big Tech, and all the other corporate monopolists whose greed is denying progress for working people.” Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey railed against “greedflation” and accused corporations of “extorting families.”
Barack Obama lambasted Donald Trump and his “well-heeled donors.” “For them, one group’s gains is necessarily another group’s loss,” Mr. Obama said. “For them, freedom means that the powerful can do pretty much what they please, whether it’s fire workers trying to organize a union or put poison in our rivers or avoid paying taxes like everybody else has to do.”
Democrats treat wealth as a zero-sum game, and so Mr. Obama’s straw men are rich. They get richer by making everyone else poorer—and taking away from the well-off is the only way to enhance the lives of the poor and middle class. Hence, the left’s plans to raise taxes on “billionaires” and businesses to finance more welfare.
It isn’t enough that the top 1% of earners already pay 45.8% of federal income tax, which funds government services and welfare for the bottom half. As for poisoning rivers, perhaps Mr. Obama forgot that his own Environmental Protection Agency caused the 2015 Gold King Mine disaster, which spilled toxic waste into Colorado’s Animas River.
Quoting Abraham Lincoln, the former president invoked “the better angels of our nature” even as he appealed to America’s darker angels. His speech brought to mind a recent homily by my local parish priest about the dangers of class warfare and envy, one of the seven deadly sins.
Success, the priest explained, isn’t a zero-sum game. When a businessman succeeds, he creates jobs that help the poor. Envying and tearing down the successful makes everyone poorer. Rather than plunder the wealthy, society should celebrate success and try to help everyone prosper.
Democrats derisively refer to such ideas as “trickle-down economics.” They denounce and diminish business success, and claim the wealthy have profited from greed and government support. Who can forget Mr. Obama’s line in 2012 that “if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that”?
Rather than try to make it easier for businesses to succeed—say, by reducing taxes or easing regulations—Democrats want to do the opposite. They call for “leveling the playing field” and “growing the middle class out,” euphemisms for taxing success so government can hand out money. But government doesn’t create wealth. People do.
While business success isn’t zero-sum, government growth can be. Its expansion makes it more difficult for business to thrive. The result is fewer jobs, lower wages and less tax revenue, which finances essential public services such as law enforcement and the “safety net” for the indigent.
Mr. Trump’s appeal in 2016 partly stemmed from slow economic growth during Mr. Obama’s presidency. The Republican promised to make all Americans richer by liberating businesses from government’s shackles. Mr. Trump’s deregulation and tax cuts worked: Average real wages increased nearly 70% faster during his first three years than during Mr. Obama’s presidency.
Yet most Americans have become poorer under Mr. Biden, as government spending has fueled inflation, which has eroded wages. Job growth has become increasingly concentrated in sectors that depend on government spending. When Democrats talk about boosting the middle class, they mean the class of government workers.
Government, education, healthcare and social assistance account for more than 60% of the new jobs added in the last year. In the 17 states where Democrats boast a “trifecta”—control of the governorship and both legislative chambers—the share is 98%. In the 23 states with Republican trifectas, it’s 47%.
Likewise, average wage growth since the start of the pandemic has been lower in high-tax states such as Illinois (13.6%), New York (14.4%) and California (17.2%) than in low-tax Florida (22.5%), Texas (23.3%) and South Dakota (26.9%). If middle-class Americans want to get richer, they ought to move to Miami, Dallas or Sioux Falls.
“As long as we look to legislation to cure poverty, or to abolish special privilege,” Henry Ford once observed, “we are going to see poverty spread and special privilege grow.” That’s the joyous future Americans can expect during a Harris presidency.
Appeared in the August 26, 2024, print edition as 'Kamala Harris’s ‘Joyful’ War on Entrepreneurs'.

Thoughts On Leverage: Redemption
I finally got around to watching Leverage: Redemption. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I had such a great time watching the cast all back together and all the character growth.
At first I was worried how the show was going to be without Nate since he was really the engine of the group. It was weird watching Redemption for like the first two eps and then I was totally fine with Nate not being around. I really like where all the characters are now, especially Parker, and I think if Nate had been in the show all the characters would’ve snapped to and gone back to being their old selves in certain ways. I think they would have been more reserved if Nate was still around (but they definitely would’ve called out his shit real fast). Parker has let her freak flag fly and I do not think she would have been that way with Nate back in the picture. Still miss Nate a bit but the crew is so awesome without him.
I was also worried about how the show was going to be without Aldis Hodge being a regular but, again, it was fine. I loved when he came back but the show and characters were so good that I didn’t miss him as much as I thought I would. All the Parker and Hardison scenes were great.
Parker will forever be my girl. Beth Riesgraf continues to just be amazing playing Parker (I want to know how she managed to keep a straight face with some of her scenes and lines or how anyone else did for that matter). I read someone’s review here on tumblr that the writers did Parker dirty. I don’t think the writers did Parker dirty at all, if anything they made her more fun and they really let Parker be herself. Think about all the times she almost started going off the rails with being really goofy (the pinata she dumped on the table in front of Eliot, the chocolate convention, the Ghostbusters scene/line, etc) and then she was pulled back. Parker is the leader now and Hardison and Eliot are used to her antics, they just let her go. I think Parker has always known when it’s time to have fun and when it’s time to be serious when it comes to being a thief and running a con.
Sophie, for me, became a good character to watch. Gina Bellman always nailed the hell out of playing Sophie and I don’t think she ever gets the credit she deserves for playing the character. I loved how Parker, Hardison, and Eliot knew they had to see her and help pull her out of her deep grief. They gave her no choice and she went along with it. Sophie always looked like she had a great time on jobs in the original series and that fun was still there. I adored her friendship with Harry (”our Mr. Wilson,” a sweet, and very British, addition to her character). I’m glad there was an outside person for her to speak to and to ground her. She even said the team saw her as Sophie Deveraux they didn’t see her in the way he saw her as an outsider. There’s a lot of respect between Sophie and Harry and I enjoyed that a lot.
Eliot was Eliot, the same hard ass with a very soft inside. He was grumpier and punchier then ever. He’s still the same big brother to Parker and Hardison keeping them in line. Eliot and Sophie have always had a very interesting relationship and dynamic and it was still good to see they had that in this series as well.
Breanna is a great addition to the crew. Parker being her (reluctant) mentor was fun. Her line about college being a scam in 2nd season hit me right in the soul.
Harry was a good addition. He brought the law side to the team and gave them a different angle to their cons. He’s also just a total goofball who had no choice but to join the family and just had a good time. As I mentioned, I like his relationship with Sophie. He was the other grown up in the family who balanced things out for not only Sophie but for the whole team.
The throw backs to the original series through the new 2 seasons were perfection. Some of them were slight and some of them were super obvious. All of them gave me so much joy. Parker with the horse painting in the first episode made me laugh way too hard.
There are so many good moments throughout the 2 seasons. Parker and Hardison’s scenes will always be a favorite. The team going to Sophie in the first episode is precious. Do not even get me started on Sophie’s line to Harry about Hardison, “He is his father’s son.” My soft interior definitely shed a slight a tear and a little heart rip happened hearing that line. In the first ep you can see Parker, Hardison, and Eliot were still grieving over Nate too and they needed their “mom.” The ending of The Paranormal Hacktivity Job made my day when I watched it. Hurley coming back was a great throwback and touch. Parker loving Christmas will never get old. Harry freaking out in the vents with Parker was hilarious. Parker pretending to be pregnant was probably one of the funniest moments of this series because she found it fun to hide stuff on her that way. Possibly the best thing was the team being afraid of the Canadian Mounties. These idiots have taken down the worst kinds of people and yet they’re all afraid of the Mounties. I can’t handle them.
Just like the original series I love the stories that revolve around museums and the museum and art worlds. I have a BA in Art History and a MA in Museum Collections Management. I currently work in the museum field. The show majorly glamorizes museums and especially their security systems (maybe the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Louvre can afford something close to what the museums in Leverage and Redemption use) but it’s fun to see what could be done if money wasn’t an object for museums. The last two eps of season 2 made me nuts with the air vents being so big and so close to the art works but it’s a TV show. My new dream job would be as a museum consultant for Leverage: Redemption, haha. I cracked up when Parker said she’s stolen three Rembrandts, a hat trick.
My one and only complaint about Leverage: Redemption was the backstory eps for Sophie and Eliot. One of the reasons I absolutely love Leverage is because they never revealed too much about the characters. I love not knowing Parker’s full name and complete background. The fact that no one knows Sophie’s real name after all these years is brilliant. Even Hardison doesn’t have a super in depth backstory. The writing for the show has always been satisfying and great that I never felt the need or want to know more about the characters. Leverage is literally one of the only shows I don’t have an issue with in any way with character development and story writing. I just found Sophie and Eliot’s back stories to be a little dull. At least Sophie’s was about cons and grifters which fits into the overall show. I am praying if this show comes back for a 3rd season that they do NOT in any way really dive into Parker’s background. Keep her elusive and just Parker.
I think Leverage: Redemption is a lot of fun because it is different. I’m so happy the show is still the same in a lot of ways but it’s not, it’s its own thing. I can still see the same characters from the first episode of Leverage, they’ve all grown but the people we were first introduced to are still there. The show made me laugh and it made me happy in a lot of ways from the writing to the acting to the stories to the complete silliness of so many lines and scenes. I am so hoping for a 3rd season of Leverage: Redemption, I’m fully ready for more fun adventures with this group of crazies.

Maligayang Pask-OH SHIP! Mixtape 2, Listening Guide 1
Section 11: A North Pole Soiree
Followed by eager children, the listener treks the North Pole, snow gently falling, as Philip Pickett and the New London Consort plays the sinfonia from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. Now depicting elves, the Canadian Brass greets them with “Jolly Old St. Nicholas" outside Santa's Workshop.
Once inside, the Bob Rivers Comedy Corp – also in elf getups – usher in the Jackson 5 with “Grahbe Yahbalz.” The youngest of the group – the young Michael Jackson himself – tells the story of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
Mitch Miller and the Gang play a guessing game with the listener and the kids in “Must Be Santa.” The Jersey Shore Boss – Bruce Springsteen – and the E Street Band admonish them that “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” Jessie J also forewarns them about “The Man with the Bag.” One of the Kidsongs Kids piped up, musing, “If I Had a Pony for Christmas.” Perry Como sings about a special “Toyland.”
Suddenly, the listener finds oneself in the toy factory, and the toys enliven. The first to come alive are Harry Connick Jr. – as an action figure a la Minecraft User – and his “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.” Destiny’s Child, TI, and Lil’ Wayne dolls rap about the “Soldier.” Bob Rivers Comedy Corp – depicted as dolls – fight over the “Pokemon” plushes, which likewise come to life.
Aqua and the “Barbie Girl” enliven, and Ken asks her to swing-dance to Duke Ellington Orchestra figurines playing “Satin Doll.” The Bowser plush sings about “Peaches” on a toy electronic keyboard before “The Super Mario Bros.” ones rap.
Section 12: Naughty-Listed
The listener then travels to young Stan Freberg’s house, in which he laments to a robber, “I’m Getting Nuttin’ for Christmas.” It turns out the burglar is Sam Harris, who bursts into a showstopping cover of “Satan’s Li’l Lamb.” His younger brother – one of the Kidsongs Kids – awakens. He tells the pair what he wants to tell Santa: “Santa, Please Don’t Forget Me.”
Section 13: Child of Mary
For many Catholics, Christmas is second to Easter as the biggest keystone liturgical celebration. And what better way to commence the segment with Celine Dion’s cover of Schubert’s setting of the Ave Maria? Jose Mari Chan contributes with his cover of “Mary’s Boy Child.” Tara Chugh and Now & Then head to the manger with the viewer, singing Scott Soper’s lovely medley of “What Child is This?” and “Child of the Poor.” Mariah Carey admires the creche in front of them, lauding, “O Holy Night.”
Section 14: Una Epifanía Mexicana
The listener walks down a rural road in Mexico, with St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir singing “We Three Kings of Orient Are” behind them. One arrives with three actors portraying the Magi, with Jose Feliciano wishing them “Feliz Navidad” at the town gates.
Mariachi Juvenil welcome “Melichor, Gaspar, y Baltasar” – and the listener – to the square, where the townsfolk hang a 7-pointed star pinata for their Dia de los Reyes fiesta. They all sing, “Dale, Dale, Dale!” Apiece blindfolded and with each taking turns, some of the youths and the listener attempt to hit the pinata as Dana Hanchard, Derek Lee Ragin, and Joel Cohen’s Boston Camerata sing Juan Araujo's Los coflades de la estleya. The listener finally breaks it open with a torrent of candies piling on the tiled grounds.
Best listened with Spotify Premium.

You ever seen that skit where someone has their arms full and they drop one thing and they apologize and go to pick it up but picking it up makes them drop something else so they apologize and go to pick it up but that makes them drop something else so they apologize and go to pick it up which makes them drop something else and as the scene unfolds the person gets increasingly more frazzled and harried and their once neat and orderly stack of things in their arms devolves into some strange living pile of seething obstacle constantly squirming to escape as the person stoops to pick up yet another reaching limb of this discordant creature until they're on their knees sobbing at a vengeful god and begging forgiveness for everything they've ever done and to everyone they've ever wronged with their arms sagging to the ground as their objects scatter around them like the innards of a pinata staved in two? Yeah that

My 2021 Drarry favorites: a rec list
These are by no means the only fics I enjoyed this year! There were more fabulous stories than I can possibly list, and I only managed to read a tiny fraction of the works that enticed me. Here are five fics (and one comic) that I adored. Please read the AO3 tags for specific content and warnings before diving in!
To Live & Die in LA by @fw00shy (28K words, rated E)
Summary: Someone blackmailed Pansy Parkinson. Pansy's father hires Harry Potter, P.I., to get to the bottom of the scam. But how is Harry's errant ex-boyfriend, Draco Malfoy, involved? And why did Draco run to Los Angeles in the first place?
Written for HD Cluefest. I was a bit shocked (but thrilled!) when I saw that someone had claimed this prompt of mine, since it was based on a 1939 novel with a very complicated plot (Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep). The tarnished glamor of modern-day Los Angeles may seem like an unlikely setting for an EWE getting-back-together Drarry story, but I was just as enraptured by it as I was by the twists and turns of the story. Swimming pools and Tiki bars are fused seamlessly with werewolves and magical detective work. Not only did fwooshy deliver with the blackmail/murder mystery storyline, she absolutely nailed the film-noir mood and Harry’s dry-as-the-Santa Ana-winds POV.
Mortal Frame by @tackytigerfic (6K words, rated M)
Summary: Draco’s on a mission, and this time it's personal. But it's not easy to track down something that no one wants to talk about, especially when Harry Potter keeps popping up everywhere Draco goes. Though at least he’s on Draco’s side this time, and if he happens to be useful, and kind, and great in bed—well, Draco’s not exactly complaining.
The story of three pubs, one Horcrux, four overpriced sandwiches, and two damaged men just trying to make sure that Bellatrix Lestrange stays dead.
Written for HD Wireless. Tacky created a perfect balance between tender hurt/comfort and the tense, heavy tone of the story. Each scene is richly atmospheric—lanterns swaying in the winds of an oncoming storm, a snow-covered graveyard, a decadent meal in a hotel suite—yet it always feels like a spotlight is shining on Harry and Draco in a dark, smoky room. I could feel their intense connection through every touch and bit of terse dialogue, and it was as compelling as Draco’s mysterious mission. What an exquisite piece, crafted in only a few thousand words!
at the end of his tether by @helle-bored (4K words, rated M)
Summary: There's a worn page folded in an inner pocket of Harry's robes with a single underlined paragraph.
Discrete magical signatures have been observed after the destruction of a Dementor. Some scholars believe this implies that the souls of its victims persist as captives within its form, as opposed to undergoing immediate obliteration, and therefore serve the purpose of providing the creature with sustenance over a prolonged period of time.
Harry has carried it for nearly two years.
Inspired by the drarry microfic prompt, “Savior Complex,” this short fic had me holding my breath (and bursting into tears more than once). Helle’s prose is gorgeous, and the story is perfectly paced for maximum suspense and emotional impact. This obsessive!Harry is driven, tormented, and unforgettable. Bonus points for the excellent tag, “Thematically speaking: Dementors are pinatas full of souls and Harry’s got a baseball bat.”
Take A Chance On Me by @mintamintathings (41K words, rated E)
Summary: There's a DJ on RareFM with a secret.
Or: the one with all the ABBA in it.
Written for HD Fan Fair. Mintaminta took my poppyseed-sized prompt and grew something tremendous from it. I can’t remember a down-and-out Draco that moved me as much as this one. His loneliness and self-loathing are written so viscerally, both through his POV and the perfectly chosen details of his life in the Muggle world. Despite the heavy angst, there’s hope in the form of some wonderful original characters looking out for him. Their kindness and his rocky, slowly-developing relationship with Harry ultimately lead Draco towards healing. This story haunted me so much that I read it twice before the fest reveals.
Party Invitations and Falling in Love with Your Sworn Enemy: A Tactical Guide (A 129-Page Comic) by dustmouth (art, rated T)
Summary: Chronicling the trials and tribulations of one Draco Malfoy, employee of the Godric's Hollow Postal Office, and the events unfolding around the hottest local party in the calendar year. Featuring: Owlengitis, bingo-based plots, and Julie Bumble's questionable neighbourhood erotica.
Written for HD Fan Fair. I know I was not alone in cheering when I immediately recognized the artist’s distinctive style. Dustmouth’s comics are the stuff of Drarry Legend (or they deserve to be!) for their humor, their cast of very expressive characters (both human and animal), delightful plots and dialogues, and—of course—the wizarding fashion. I had an enormous smile on my face the entire time I was reading this comic, and I often had to stop because I was laughing so hard. I’ll be coming back to this one whenever I need a booster shot of serotonin.
The Compact by astolat (64K words, rated E)
Summary: Hermione frowned. “The real question is why the magic of Britain would be failing now, in fact.”
“That is not the real question!” Ron said loudly; he’d woken up fully by now, and Harry had too; it was starting to sink in that they’d found the problem. “The real question is, how do we fix it?”
I mean… it’s astolat, so I knew going in that it would be brilliant. But I was still blown away by the depth of magical theory, world building, and HP canon lore. The story does more than incorporate Arthurian legends into a modern setting—it uses them as a catalyst for blowing up the entire power structure of the wizarding world. And, as always, astolat makes familiar characters come to life so vividly, you’d swear they’re living, breathing people existing in another dimension somewhere. Getting a new Drarry fic from this author was the nicest surprise of 2021. It makes me very happy to know that this little corner of fandom still has a piece of her heart.
